Do the duggar girls not buy maternity clothes?? It seems they just wear normal t-shirts while pregnant

I found this gem on Jessa & Ben's blog, to Michelle from Jessa on Michelle's birthday:

http://www.theseewaldfamily.com/blog?ID=41c3292c-613e-4913-91f6-86c121f6d31e

The list is huge, but there's some gems in there for sure!

Andrea said...

SkateChick couldn't bring myself to read the entire list, but did skim . . . It's just sad. No one should have such blind adoration for their mother. Seriously, Jessa wrote: “Put yourself in that person’s shoes and ask yourself ‘Is that how I would like to be treated?’” Jesse darling, most people don't have 19 children because they know it's not healthy or kind. No one is able to adequately love and care for that many children. Your mother and father did not for a minute think about their existing children when the continued and continued to procreate. This list makes it appear she's suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

Meme said...

That was some letter, I couldn't read it all due to its length. What a shame, since she obviously wrote it for us all to read. Sigh.

Jessa, next time you wish Mom a Happy Birthday, privately slip her a card. She will appreciate that so much more than a public blog post.

Not wearing maternity clothing is immodest. I cannot understand them wearing very tight shirts to show off the growing "baby bump" to the point where one can see the inverted belly button through the flimsy material. The have confusing, hypocritical rules and regulations regarding sex & modesty. Don't show your knees, don't let a male doctor examine you but show it all to the camera men when when sitting on a toilet pushing out a baby. I think this is called do anything for a dollar!

Mary said...

Hi
wow Jessa you should really thank the person who wrote this for you. I am thinking TLC wote it. Jessa lots of errors in your thank you's . Remember we watch the episodes.. Paper plates do not have to be washed,, Jessa when did your mom bath you?

Mary

Being pregnant is the highest honor a duggar girl can get. She wears those tight shirts to make sure everyone can see it!

Bridgitte Waldrop said...

Thank you for sharing. Holy cow did I get a laugh out of it, I mean it's sad the poor girl doesn't understand reality, but a laugh.

Sarahi Conde said...

ok I went to the seawald website to check out that letter to her mother, and I too did not even finish it, way to long... anyways I also stumbled on their 2 year anniversary video
http://www.theseewaldfamily.com/2016/11/second-anniversary
And their kiss at the end is torturous to watch.. 2 years and two kid later and you still kiss like that? You can tell jessa has intimacy issues and doesn't really know how to show genuine affection.. so no jessa, I don't buy the cuddles and affection you claim your parents gave you as a child..

Wendy Heusel said...

watching the show in demand seeing how these couples changed in two years. derrick had changed so much. and jill totally seems down in the dumps. and were is bens family seems they never come around anymore. whats up with that?

LilBit0318 said...

Ok...Somehow (And I dunno how, but...) I made it through that letter/list. First of all, I don't even know how many times I thought, "Wait...You already said that," while reading it. *LOL* But the two that really got me were, "for sticking to your 'one sweet treat a week' (for the most part ;-) and encouraging us all to eat better," and "for filling the kitchen with healthy snacks of cucumbers, tomatoes, apples and bananas, instead of chips and sodas, etc." Oh for Christ sake, Jessa! You were raised on tater tot casserole and ice cream sandwich cake (Or whatever they called that slop they threw together for someone's birthday at the beginning of the series.), and there's a freakin' soda fountain in the kitchen!

laura said...

Sarahi conde- the thrift store they frequent has been permanently sold out of maternity clothes. Too bad they can't just go to a regular store every now and then.
No more denim skirts please.
Too bad they can't be shiny and new, parents never prince or princess their kids up, just make fun of they haven't kissed and makes girls rock climb in skirts and have babies on toilets.

Did any of you see that Anna is considering divorce?

Arial said...

Jana can be told sew up a few modest and pretty maternity tops.

Sabrina said...

Yes, I see there is an article regarding Anna finally finding some friends who are supporting her to get a divorce and move away from the Duggars. Hope this is true to save her from future heartbreak and for the children's safety. She thinks God is leading her away from Josh because she has not gotten pregnant with a 5th child. How could she even think of a 5th child when Josh is most likely unemployed but unemployment doesn't stop a Duggar from having too many babies. Sort of weird thinking but anything that frees Anna from Duggarland is good.

Andrea said...

I think the article seems a bit odd . . . Anna has new friends? Seriously, when is she finding time or energy to meet these new friends? Where are they meeting? Let's just think back to before this catastrophe unfolded, remember her trip to the library? As a stay at home mom, the library is one of our number one places to hang, in the library episode she'd never been! I would be very, very surprised if she's allowed out. I mean, if she's allowed out there would be published photos of her at simple places like Target, Walmart, grocery stores, etc. She mustn't be getting out at all. Also, her children are constantly in the stream of photos coming out of the compound's Facebook page which makes me think Anna and her children live there. I'm afraid I don't see her leaving the compound, even if Josh flatly refuses to be married and he wants a divorce. Josh would leave to become a (p rhymes with horn) star and she'd be left behind at the compound to live out her days as a "stay at home daughter" to Dim Bulb and Mullet.

MelodyJ said...

Yes, GF Baker, I read that article claiming that Anna is considering divorce. If it's true, good for her and sending prayers her way. We will have to wait to see if the Daily Mail's claims are true.

lisa magines said...

why do they keep talking about old wedding not new things in this show? guess this show has nothing new to show time to end it. as for anna leaving her husband that is never going to happen? and what new friends does she have? she never leaves the house so she could possible never have new friends outside of the duggar family. just like the girls or boys they have no friends so they could not meet anyone. unless it is through mommy and daddy.

Aunt Bea said...

I would think since the married women in this family make having babies a competitive sport, that they would have already invested in some NEW, good quality tasteful maternity wear...like a closet full. Those are and will be the fashions they will be wearing 90% of the time for the next 25 years. Makes good money sense to me. They look worse when expecting, fashion-wise, and I thought it wasn't possible for those women to dress worse than they have been.

Cat said...

My guess is Jimbob wrote the article himself to keep people watching...

Meme said...

What does a more experienced, much older man want with Jinger? Somewhere out there is a young woman who is probably asking herself that question. I like Jinger but she is a baby. Is Jeremy seeking fame? Or control? Maybe both? He comes across as controlling to me. And we know that he had problems with anger/temper in the past. Maybe Jimbob's little questionnaire should have asked about that rather than favorite colors.

Sarahi Conde said...

I've got that same vibe from Jeremy from the first photo I've ever seen of him, He looks like he is passively controlling and manipulative. And re: about maternity comments, that's what I was thinking!? You would think these girls would already have a closet full of their favorite maternity outfits.. in my opinion, it looks cheap and trashy to wear medium t-shirts that you have to stretch out when your pregnant.. also i hope it's true that anna is sticking up for herself

The Rodrigues fam will be in Ark this Sat. For J's wedding?

Andrea said...

An hour ago, Amy posted a photo of her and Jinger to instagram with the following message: "Love you Jinger! My heart is back home but my feet are in Vegas! Miss you!" What? So the wedding is today and Amy wasn't invited? Makes no sense, today also happens to be Jessa's birthday?!

RockySticks said...

I watched the Bates show where Erin gives birth to her daughter. It was so refreshing to have a normal hospital setting. She had a male doctor and she got to have an epidural. They didn't try to explain themselves like the Duggars would feel the need to do. Her husband was attentive towards her (he did take a nap after the epidural, but it didn't annoy me like when Josh did it) Both grandma's were there which was nice. There was no drama about it!

Elspeth said...

The wedding is tomorrow. Amy is in Vegas with her husband. There is some exposition going on and he's advertising his company. It seems that it's doubtful that Amy will get back for the wedding.

Wendy Heusel said...

just saw a picture with amy and jinger and you can see tables in the back ground guess jinger is marrying today or saturday? saw it on instrgram page under amy rochelle king

Elspeth said...

The wedding is tomorrow at the so-called Cathedral of the Ozarks at John Brown University in Siloam Springs.

christie said...

Wow, can't believe Amy would not make a big effort to fly in for the day to attend her cousin Jinger's wedding unless it's one of those outdoor cheap receptions, freezing their butts off in November lining up for an oh so special wedding cupcake and coffee (Jinger loves coffee) in a parking lot, catered by the famous wedding planner. I can't wait to see the Eye=talian family reaction if such an event occurs.

warm weather said...

The Cathedral of the ozarks seats 900 so it will be just like her sister's weddings.

Duggarsbegone said...

Hmmm...seats 900. I wouldn't call that a small, intimate wedding.

Elspeth said...

One part of their website says seats 1000.

Elspeth said...

It's already been announced it's a dry reception. I expect no dancing also.

Duggarsbegone said...

Is there somewhere we can read this information?

Gina said...

Amy would be there if it was being filmed.

Andrea said...

Gosh again the Duggar's have managed to sink to new levels of low. Ginger should be attending classes at John Brown University or perhaps have already graduated, not planning a wedding at at University at which she appears to have no ties. Sad, sad sad. With some luck, Joy Anna will look around and register for classes started in January.

lisa smith said...

wonder how that person knows she is marrying today? and it is being filmed said it would air in two weeks.

Heart in Florida said...

I don't feel "sorry" for the Vuolos and this disappointing, cheap wedding reception. This family fully knew what they were getting in Jinger and her family. I don't think any of Jeremy's "non fundy" cousins will go to this weddin extravaganza. After all, why uproot your family out east, travel there, and hardly, if at all be noticed as attending with 990 other guests? Other than coffee, maybe they'll have cookies passed out.
I hope Jinger doesn't act like a desperate, horny teenage girl at her own wedding. It was hard enough to watch Jill lick derickdillard's fingers while cutting the cake...YUCK.

Jeanette said...

I wouldn't be surprised if Amy wasn't attending the wedding because she wasn't invited. She's talked too much to the press. I think the Duggars feel betrayed. She's vanished from their show.

Elspeth said...

The source for where and when on the wedding is a student at John Brown who saw the Duggars decorating.

Wendy Heusel said...

i checked wedding places were they would register and did not find them there. maybe they did it under another name. guess for once jim bod did not make any money on this wedding. pictures will be online tomorrow i bet.

laura said...

Amy's prostitute Halloween costume was probably the icing on the cake for Jim Bob. She has a mind, maybe not the brightest, to live life on her terms and Jimmy bobby ain't havin that around his children.
Who wants to go to the most boring wedding ever anyways? No dancing, no music, no drinks, no food with 1000 strangely dressed religious nuts who think all those things are evil? Count me out, I'll be at the hotel pool with a mai tai.
Jinger like coffee? How exceedingly, lame, cheap and unforgettable, coffee cookies in a parking lot, someone these girls in front of some episodes of 4 Weddings.
Divorce rumors have been swirling about M and JB for a year now, not true and most likely the same with J and Anna.
If Anna is truly trying to get pregnant again she disgusts me.
She is a good mom but is like a bag of rocks. She has no backbone and no voice. She gets used and mopped the floor with. She has no self worth and individual value. She is pathetic
I would be very disappointed as a mother if that were my daughter.

Aunt Bea said...

I thought the term "cathedral" referred to a Roman Catholic cathedral, ie, the home of the diocese and for Episcopal, Anglican faiths...those that are so close to Catholic. How can a cathedral be in a non-denominational chapel at a college? Does anyone know the answer to this? Thanks..
This IS a more classy venue than any of the others Duggars. The outside looks like a church, not an auditorium. I wonder what the Vuolos think?

Elspeth said...

I can go pedantic. A cathedral means "seat" so it's the main church of a diocese or the chair of the bishop. That leaves it to liturgical churches that actually appoint bishops.

Trusty Duggars.

its already on people and it said they had 1000 guest there. no small wedding? knew they were lying. next joy will be courting someone. think it is easier to marry off the girls then the men. cannot marry off Jana she is needed around the house. too bad for her if she does not leave on her own.

Heart in Florida said...

I saw a photo of Jinger's wedding invitation. It looks more like a baby announcement to me than a wedding invitation.
I didn't think it possible...but Michelle outdid HERSELF in an awful sporty cotton collared button down BLOUSE..and with an awful coral color? Her hair looks like she had a can of hair spray in it and it was not washed ....in a while. Perhaps it's the bad lighting, but she looks to be a woman of 60 years old..lines and wrinkles on her face. Jim Bob's suit, tie and shirt photographed awfully and looks cheap and used.
I sincerely hope this was a bad video and it's not what they actually looked like at their daughter's wedding...

ginA said...

She finally got her first kiss from the only guy whom she ever got to be around....now she is going to get in a car all alone with him! And go to a room all alone.

From now on is she wants to walk outside
by herself she doesn't have to ask Daddy's premission. Imagine being able to talk on your cell without having eavesdropping.

She no longer has to wash Jim Bob's undies or give blood when he decides she should.

I probably would have agreed to have married the first guy who acted interested just to get away from that oppression.

lisa magines said...

i kind of think jinger was doing her own thing. when they went on that camping trip she was face time jermery and the others were all sleeping so I think she got away with out having a lot of people around. she was in that camper alone when they were on that survival trip and always talking to him on the phone and mommy and daddy were on always in on those texts I am sure of that one.

Krystal said...

What is Michelle wearing to the wedding?? We can see a bit of thrift store type blouse and her hair does look a total mess as well as her face which is aging quickly. Jimbob looks no better wearing a green shirt and cheap looking suit to the wedding. How did they feed 1,000 guests who managed to traveled to this Arkansas outpost to witness the wedding? Jana & Joy probably were locked in the kitchen for weeks baking cookies. Even cupcakes for 1,000 is a stretch but 1,000 presents is the icing on the cake...(if they had a wedding cake) of these gigantic weddings. How do these people even know 1,000 people well enough to invite them to the wedding since they live so isolated? I see the newlyweds are off for a tour of Australia & New Zealand and we sure know Jimbob is not footing the bill for that one and Jeremy is unemployed for years. Thanks about to TLC for this new story line. The show will never end. Next, little Joy will be matched up and married off to some "wonderful" stranger so she can produce more Duggerites.

MelodyJ said...

Congratulations to Jinger and Jeremy. I agree with Krystal that TLC is probably paying for their honeymoon trip to Austalia and New Zealand and will most likely be featured in a future episode.

Sharla said...

Since it's been explained dozens of times over that simple receptions are the order of the day for the culture in which the Duggars live, future criticisms and pleas for "real receptions" will not be put through.

Jinger's wedding dress.

amy kahan said...

I thought her dress was pretty as were her flowers. She looked like a happy bride.

Andrea said...

Must say, liked both the Bridesmaid dresses and the wedding gown. Michelle looked awful. Perhaps the divorce rumours are true and the stress of Josh is getting to her. Both sad and happy for Ginger. Happy for her in that she is clearly over the moon and glad to be having her wedding day. Pretty much the only time the Duggar adult daughter's getting to feel they have actually accomplished anything, other than the days they give birth. Sad because the poor girl really has no idea what's she's missed - a college experience, room mates, road trips, first jobs, first dates etc. We can only hope that Jeremy is a nice, normal guy who will allow her to do more normal things and not keep her cloistered insider her home as appears to be the case for all the Duggar women.

Andrea said...

Shrewd Duggar's strike again. Jessa's posts to instagram of J&J's wedding photos with a link to their new website: www.JingerAndJeremy.com Traffic to the site drives ad revenue. I'll admitted it, I clicked the link!!! Money in their pockets!

These people may be uneducated and dumb but they certainly understand social media and the internet age.

Missy said...

I agree with Sharla that what they serve at these receptions is really in-material. Apparently it's the culture where they live, so most of the guest expected exactly what they got for food at the reception. The problem I have is with the huge number of guests at a wedding for a young woman who has never left the house without a chaperone or accountability partner.
I was fortunate enough when working as a private duty nurse before I retired to work for some extremely wealthy & often times politically connected families. The one thing I do know is, that wealthy people don't equate money with class. Class is what you are, born & breed & raised with & when you have wedding after wedding that has a guest list of over 1,000 that is in no way related to class. The Duggars are nothing but hillbillies who are trying to put perfume on a pig. They don't have an ounce of class in their family & never will. When will TLC get a grip & just let them go. If they don't you can be sure that Jenny & Jordyn are already using their crayons to make invitations to Joy's wedding which will happen as soon as he excitement over Jinger's wedding is over.

gen said...

I like Jinger's dress. It's really beautiful. Jill's sucked, mostly because she did like her Mamma on her renewal and had a strapless dress redone. It didn't look natural. It didn't look natural. Jessa's dress was really beautiful as well. Both Jessa and Jinger were both modest in a modern way if you ask me.

Katies Mom said...

I believe that we now know more than ever before, that Jana is for all intents & purposes a "Spinster." Joy will be married off soon & who knows or cares about the boys, as they are clones of their father. Jana will be the single aunt that does all the babysitting for many, many, more yrs. to come. She probably doesn't realize yet, that her position in that family is as, an on-call babysitter & will be for yrs. to come. But it won't be long before she realizes she is drowning in Duggeretts. She will have accountability partners as long as there are single Duggar girls, even though they are younger than her. They will accompany her to the grocery store, or those types of places where she might go astray. She is the most beautiful of all the girls & has a kind, sweet & gentle personality. She can never say no to either her mother, father or any of her siblings. She really is like a step-sister in a fairy tale. TLC should be ashamed of themselves, as they watch this beautiful young woman become a "Spinster" & they spend their time & money filming all the younger girls weddings. As for Jim Bob & Michelle, I hardly know what to say about their treatment of Jana. I can't imagine having such a beautiful, sweet loving daughter & holding her prisoner in the home & all the while she is watching her sisters start their lives out with husbands & extended family. Something she will never have.

BrightLight said...

I think Jeremy has taste, unlike the other guys that married Duggars. His suit looked nice and the church is so much better! At least Jinger will get to lead a more tasteful, less cheap life!

M said...

Katies Mom, it would be one thing if Jana were single because that's what she wants. I agree with you that it would be a shame that if deep down Jana really wants to be married and have a life of her own but for some reason her family would be preventing her from doing so. At this point, Joyana will probably be married before Jana. I also think it's a bit odd that none of the boys except Josh have gotten married. Perhaps Jana hasn't met someone she feels is the right man. My prayers are that somehow Jana can have a life of her own whether single or married. I would hate to see Jana become a spinster and the day comes when her parents have gone to be with the Lord and her married brothers are watching after her.

Meme said...

While reading up on details of Jinger's wedding I ran across a couple of photos of Jill's wedding, including the pics of Derick's Dad's uniform and Michelle's wedding dress. In this family, no one is allowed a solo spotlight for anything - including, apparently, the dead.

I recently asked a Springdale resident his impression of the Duggars. He stated that they are "friendly but aloof". (Raise your hand if you find that statement a little confusing). The Duggars claim that they do not enjoy attention or fame. Uh huh. So what is with the tit-for-tat, childish behavior that we see on a regular basis? How sad that no one is ever allowed a moment to themselves, not even on their wedding day! We've all been to weddings where a deceased person was recognized in some way, just as Derick's dad was honored. The Duggars, though, cannot leave well enough alone. Such jealousy!

So I am waiting to see WHO ELSE was honored at Jinger's wedding. Was Michelle's dress on display again? Did Jessa do a Seewald family slideshow? Did Josh buy new shades?

lisa mc gins said...

as for the boys what girls in their right mind would want to marry any of them? none of them have any promising careers or going anywhere in life? if they move in and marry one of the boys they will be helping to raise those little kids like Jana would be?

Sharla said...

Comments implying or outright saying Jana was one of Josh's victims will not go through. It was obvious from the police report that she was not.

Carrie said...

Jinger looked very pretty. What's up with Michelle at the wedding? She didn't even comb her hair and sounding strange in her little speech with Jimbob, like she's suffering from mental illness.

Angela said...

I would like to say that John David is worthy of some Woman's hand in marriage.
John David is a Jack of all Trades.
He has seen his father and his brother do some stupid things.
I don't think he is like that.
I think he will be a good man and a good husband.

Lizza said...

Michelle can no longer be the center of attraction since she is beyond child bearing years so she could be depressed. Probably she and Jimbob will never completely recuperate from the shame Josh brought to the family and the criticism regarding how they handled the situation years ago. Now is the time when she must be happy for her children moving forward in life in marriages and giving her grandchildren.

MelodyJ said...

lisa mc gins, perhaps there are girls who don't find the Duggar boys attractive because they don't believe these young men have promising careers or don't want to be part of the Duggar clan or they don't want to be forced into a life with no career and a life of having multiple children.

Heart in Florida said...

Why don't the Duggar young women know about "DRESS SHOES"? Those casual, summer wedgies are NOT appropriate with a formal full length gown. Those gowns were too long for them...you could see them dragging on the ground. A nice, satin pump with a sensible heal would have looked great.

As a matter of a fact... said...

I thought all the girls looked lovely on their wedding day, but I love Jinger's the most.Jessa's was beautiful, but she looked more like a prom princess, instead of a bride.Jill's was pretty for summer, since they are not permitted strapless. I thought it beautifully detailed. They do all make gorgeous brides!

Andrea said...

M said... "Perhaps Jana hasn't met someone she feels is the right man."

M, you are completely off base. Honestly, I don't know or care if Jana wants to be married or not, but the truth is she is a voiceless victim to her parents needs / wants. She's not allowed to court unless her father finds someone he feels is appropriate for her. I live in Toronto which has a large Indian, South Asian population, arranged marriages are pretty common among wealthy, well educated women / men here. For Jana, her only hope is an arranged marriage, but the women I know who have arranged marriages have an education and a voice - Jana appears to have neither.

Cat said...

I wonder if jimbob had anything to do with the photos, nobody looked very happy, especially Jinger in a few, looked miserable as she glared at the camera. I just wonder if she didnt get the quiet New York wedding that had been mentioned before and instead got a large circus, including 1000 guests. I hope they get to move away and jeremy doesnt get turned into a clone...

Angela said...

I don't think Jeremy is a clone.
I think Jeremy is his own man.
The couple will move to Texas and Jinger will have a wonderful life.
Jinger may even get into her photography more.
I believe Jinger will be treasured and adored by Jeremy and his family.
Jeremy has been out in the world and he is not a Nitwit like Ben and Derrick!!
He has his own money and has been on his own for a while.
I see a different future for Jinger.

Rudy Tecat said...

I think Josh will never divorce Anna. That would mean owing Anna child support, and that would mean Josh would have to get a real job. JB's never going to sit back and let Anna drain the old Duggar warchest a couple of grand a month.

Heart in Florida said...

I wonder how ol' Jim Bob really feels about Jeremy renting a tradition apartment from a rental company? Does this go against his rules about not "owing money" to a traditional land lord? We all know that Josh, Jill AND Jessa all didn't really pay any rent to Jim Bob or Mary Duggar for those homes he let them live in.
I know Joshua rented a house in Maryland, but see how that turned out for them? More to make Jim Bob's point with.

laura said...

Amy saying she was invited to the wedding but had to go to Vegas instead.
I couldn't help but laugh

Meme said...

Rudy, I agree with you. People who have no jobs and zero education cannot easily divorce. Look at Anna, what's she gonna do? She would probably end up on government assistance in spite of all Jimbob's objections. For that matter, what will happen to Michelle, assuming that the divorce rumors are true? Not much demand for someone whose specialty is "watching others work". Michelle had better hope that she stays married to JB. He will never turn loose of that money in his tight fist - he believes that it belongs to him and to his sons (to support their "business", you know). I just wonder how Jimbob and Michelle would be advising Anna right now if SHE was their child, rather than Josh. Oh, silly me. I forget. She's a girl.

Cat said...

I just remember everyone thought the same thing about Jill, when she married Jeremy, we thought for sure the fact that he went to college and had a real job, there was hope. He has been transformed into someone unrecognizable... I pray they move far, far away...

Cat said...

Omg, I meant Derrick!

Andrea said...

Meme: "Jimbob and Michelle would be advising Anna right now if SHE was their child, rather than Josh. Oh, silly me. I forget. She's a girl." GOOD ONE!!!

Further to the Josh / Anna situation, creepy davidncil's instagram page posted a photo of the two couples, David and Priscilla (Anna's sister), Josh and Anna on a double date this weekend with the following caption: "Thank you, Josh & Anna, for a wonderful weekend together topped off with a fun #doubledate this evening! You'll are doing great! #sistertime #familytime"

"You'll are doing great!" Right? . . . Because when one posts a photo of a happily married couple they mention how great they're doing. The ship is going down.

Also, the couple have seven kids between them, who is watching their children while these four dimwits "fine dine" at MarketPlace Grill?! Really hope it's not Jana and Joy Anna's responsibility.

I don't believe that Josh & Anna will ever divorce. Although she has no education & hasn't worked at all, being a stay at home mom. She choose to stay with the Duggars during the time Josh was at rehab. She followed the money by staying with them. Otherwise her brother offered to take her & her children into his home. Well I'm sure in her brother's home, she wouldn't have all that free babysitting available to her at a moments notice. She probably would have to do her own laundry & cook for her children & get along with her sister-in-law. I wonder how much contact she has had with this brother & his wife. She's looking out for Anna & the easiest way for her to have everything done for her. So instead of being like many divorced women with children who get a job as a waitress or other jobs like these & pull themselves up by the bootstraps& care for their children many, many, times with no child support. She is taking the easy way out by following the money. That only requires she continue to follow Jim Bob Duggar.

Wouldn't it be something if Jeremy led a revolt leading Derick and Ben to realize they do not have to be dominated by Jim Bob.

I don't think Jeremy is the white knight everyone thinks he is who came to sweep Jinger away from everything. I believe Jeremy is an opportunist who planned his way into the family by meeting the little boy Ben at some rally, with the hope of fame & fortune by marrying one either Jinger or Jana. He had a taste being before the public during his short stint as a soccer player on a 2nd rate team and no job since except for the sudden preacher position in some little church in a little town in Texas very conveniently arranged just prior to his debut as a courting man. I believe the pastor gig set up for him to become an evangelical tv preacher, made possible by being a husband to a Duggar girl. We shall see !!

I thought Anna had a college degree? I thought she went to a Christian college. Maybe Josh said this when they were courting or it was on their website.

Heart in Florida said...

The "degree" that Anna has is from on-line courses at a non accredited Christian college. It isn't a bachelor's degree either. Unfortunately, there is nothing she can do with it in the real work world. The "diploma" has no value outside of their cult.

Sharon said...

Anna did get a bachelors degree, but it was online and from an unaccredited school.

Now that Jinger is married TLC can finally turn its attention to the Duggar boys. With the exception of Jana (who appears to be contentedly single) there are no more great beauties in Jimbob's corral. Here is a partial questionnaire that I feel should be given to any of the Duggar boys who have courting in mind.
1. Do you have any type of diploma that will be accepted by an employer in the real working world?
2. Outside of the Duggar compound, have you ever worked at any location and been given money in exchange for labor?
3. Would you be able to live independently in another city or state, away from the other members of the Duggar family, if necessary?
4. How many times do you expect my daughter to give birth? (Please be specific). Will you be able to support any and all children produced by this union? If so, please tell me how you intend to provide for your family. Again, please be specific. (My daughter enjoys jewelry shopping).
5. Will my daughter be expected to give birth live on national television? Do you have medical insurance? Or will my daughter be forced to deliver her babies at home? Will your sister, Jill, be the "medical professional" who oversees the birth? Will Jill wear her Walmart "Let's Pretend" stethoscope during the delivery?
6. If my daughter decides to work, by choice or by necessity, will she be shunned by you and/or your family? What happens if she cuts her hair, wears pants or watches a non-approved movie?
7. Will Josh Duggar be allowed to be around my grandchildren? If so, would you be willing to tell your brother that he is not allowed to ever be alone with them, and will be required to hire a child advocate to be present any time there is a family function where he will be present?
8. What household chores will my daughter be expected to do and how will the work be divided? In other words, can you cook, clean or do laundry? Can you change diapers?
9. Circle one: What is more important - a new airplane (or travel bus) OR a college education for your child?
10. Finally, please submit a ten-page essay titled WHAT I CAN OFFER TO YOUR DAUGHTER. Be sure to use correct capitalization, punctuation, etc.
*This only a partial list and is certainly not intended to serve as a complete questionnaire. However, it may help some of you dads out there to have an idea of where to begin. Also, the length of the essay is optional - you may prefer to make it longer.

My biggest gripe with the magazine coverage of the wedding is they say soccer player and not minister or paster (whatever wording it needs to be). Once again trying to make the family seem normal.

ella said...

Does Jeremy have a theological degree or did God suddenly tell him to preach?

Heart in Florida said...

Ella: It seems to be that Jeremy is a "self proclaimed preacher" to me. The timetable is way too short in changing "careers" to have gone to any real divinity school, or take the appropriate number of courses in theology. It takes most legitimate ministers many years to complete their studies. Like everything else the Duggars and the like do, they are merely "watered down" versions of the real thing.

Wednesday said...

IMO Jeremy comes off very fake, like he's play acting a little too hard. Jinger just scares me because she reminds me of an obsessive high schooler. The Duggars are building a cast instead of growing a natural family.

I think the unmarried girls are all pretty. Theyhot their looks from Michelle who is very pretty, but Jim Bob forces her to wear that hideous hairstyle and ugly old denim skirt....did I really once have one of those nasty things back in the 1970s?

I am sure I donated it. I wonder if one of them could be wearing that thing. Maybe they all take turns.

Don't Believe Them said...

Re: Heart in Florida's comment about Jeremy being a self-proclaimed "Preacher," I believe those comments are right on target. As a matter of fact, they are always referring to these men as "Preachers" & not "Ministers." This is a key point, I think. The clergy I have know, or met over the yrs. have had a college education followed by Divinity School. I remember that Gill Bates announced that he was in church somewhere & God spoke to him & called him to be a "Preacher." After that at least for awhile, he had some sort of home church set up in a function room at a Holiday Inn Hotel. He was holding services there, I believe on Sunday & again on Wednesday night. Since I don't watch their show, I don't know if he is still a preacher, although I think he officiated at a number of family weddings. I do know you don't need to be an ordained minister to perform a wedding service. I believe a minister is highly educated & a preacher is just what the word implies. He can get up & start preaching on anything he wants to, regardless of his knowledge about the subject& certainly not someone to advise people who are having problems in their lives. You might as well ask your next door neighbor for advise. I think it sets a dangerous precedent to have these uneducated men calling themselves either preachers or ministers. I wouldn't take their advice on ordering a cup of coffee. It seems to be rather rampant in some of theses states where a large number of uneducated men like Gill Bates & Jim Bob Duggar reside. I know that Gill Bates supposedly has a college degree but from what college & in what studies? Please pass the collection plate!

11. Do you intend let your father make all the decisions for your household or do you plan on being man who stands up for his family and tells his controlling dad to buzz off.

Heart in Florida said...

Meme: Great post....Here's #12. Would you be proud of your children if they achieved more than you have in life, or would you be envious of that potential and strive to "keep them down" so they never accomplish more than you did?
(I hope I worded this correctly).

I have a feeling immature Jinger will crash emotionally after the free TLC honeymoon to Australia & New Zealand. She will suddenly be living alone with Jeremy and feel lonely in a little Texas border town with an older husband who I sense will be demanding and controlling.'Maybe somewhat like Jill, who seems to be on the brink of a nervous breakdown, stuck with Dillard who is nothing like the young man she married, forcing her to take her baby and live away from her family, frightened in a dangerous country.

Andrea said...

Duggar's on Twitter with a photo of Dim Bulb and Mullet kissing while holding inTouch magazine with Duggars Shocker - Divorce on cover: "Don't believe everything you read in the tabloids! Michelle and I have been married for over 32 years and are more in love than ever!"

Right . . .There's got to be some truth there, maybe not for Dim Bulb and Mullet but Josh and Anna without question. Seems really likely. People happily married don't feel the need to broadcast their undying love the way the Duggar's do. Thankfully Anna has wised up and doesn't post glowing things about her abusive husband online - anymore.

Heart in Florida said...

Well, not only are Jim Bob and Michelle "still in love after 32 years,", but they're in love "more than ever". Makes me sick. Why do they have to outdo themselves even with their own posts? Reminds me of their "godly son, Joshua", stating that he's not only a hypocrite, but the biggest hypocrite of all time. They really have no filter when they do or say anything. Why didn't they address that the article wasn't about them, but Josh and Anna?

Aunt Bea said...

I hope that TLC will take note that Jinger's courtship sparked only a little interest in this show. Now that it's done, there isn't anything to keep viewers interested. NONE OF their "older kidults" are doing anything that's watch-worthy. I'm bored with Jana'a boredom and her craft skills. Please, someone get that grown woman her own place and a real job. John David is a ball of laughs, a real life of the party, isn't he? It would be better to watch paint dry than "ride around in the truck" with him all day; Joe is doing less than that, "assisting" JD, Josiah has never expressed an interest in flying before, nor has he aspired to drive a big rig..suddenly the accountant minded high school boy is working with his big brothers with his hands. Joy has absolutely nothing to bring to the table here, unless you want to watch her make cold oatmeal for the little girls, and color with them in their coloring books. We already know just what's up with Miss Jessa and Ms. Jill....really doing nothing either. Maybe if Jessa cleaned her own house sometime, and spent time there when Ben wasn't at home, we could learn how she folds those inspirational t-shirts Ben wears when doing the laundry. This show has truly run it's course. Perhaps one or two "specials" on updates about weddings and babies...something the Duggars believe they do well.

#13-You know that is an evil number

Would you still support your wife or child(ren) if their hearts were touched by God and they changed to believe in a different form of Christianity or in another religion?
Because you know that Jesus said to "do unto others" and your family members have gone out to save others by turning to your faith over theirs, would you accept the reverse?

#14-If your wife wanted to start a career would you do everything possible to help her meet her goal? Financially pay for her education? Take over household duties so she has time to devote to a career? Move from Arkansas so she can find work?

#15 Will you make sure your wife has her own bank accounts so that in the event of an unforeseen incident she will have access to funds and not be dependent on your family?

sheila said...

Oh my goodness, Meme, that was a great list you created. All the other additions from other posters made it that much better. I have often wondered if Jim Bob would hold his sons to the standards that he requires for potential suitors. Because of his immense narcissistic tendencies, he may think that having the name "Duggar" alone is sufficient and actually the only endorsement needed to show what wonderful, godly "men" they are. I use the term "men" very loosely; we all know they are still emotionally immature little boys who still live with mommy and daddy. I do agree that John David is the one who has more to offer a mate.
I was reading another article about Joy Anna being shown much more on the family website since she has turned 19. Of course, the implication being that Jim Bob will begin to push her into a courtship. I was greatly irritated when I heard the boys (brothers) and what they were saying about how they were going to test them out, give them a hard time, etc. It was all about them and how THEY feel and what THEY require and want for a suitor. NOTHING at all mentioned about what SHE wanted, what qualities SHE desires in a husband, what will make HER complete. Nope... it's always still about the boys. The boys come across as little dictators - trained by the MAIN dictator himself, Jim God. Congratulations, Jim Bob, you have done such a wonderful job raising your children, you should join Michelle and be called dad of the year. (or whatever the award Michelle received. I feel so bad for the plight of the young women in this family.

"Angelica said: I have a feeling immature Jinger will crash emotionally after the free TLC honeymoon to Australia & New Zealand."

I'm hopefully that it turns out ok for her. I mean, she's said before she wants to live in a city and Laredo is a city. A Broader town in Texas isn't exactly the safest, nicest areas to live in America, but come on, it's not the jungles of Central America. I really hope Ginger takes her time, enjoys being a newlywed and stays far, far away from her crazy Mother and Father. Hopefully her brothers and sisters come for the occasional visit.

Regarding Jeremy attending seminary, it is highly unlikely. Jeremy comes from a Reformed Baptist tradition. There is not a formal denomination as they believe that there were no denominations in the Bible. Very few Reformed Baptist preachers have seminary degrees. However, they spend extraordinary amounts of time in self study. It is not unheard of for their pastors to spend 60 hours a week prepping for two sermons.
I'm not sure how Jinger will fit in. While strict Christianity, Reformed Baptists are a far cry from the gothardism she grew up in.

Jane A. said...

So...Joy-Anna has been long-time friends with someone other than her siblings (and it's a guy, no less). They were hanging out as a group of friends late at night, watching the stars come out at their special spot. Even in a group setting, that doesn't seem like something that would be permitted in Duggarville. I hope she is genuinely happy and that she isn't being pushed up on the auction block to keep up viewer interest.

Jana will still be at home when precious miracle Josie prepares for her own wedding. Jana stays behind caring for their aging parents & lazy brothers as well as the new crop of Duggar babies. It seems like marriage is the only way to get out of this house. She would not be emotionally prepared to live by herself, but it would be great to see her exert some independence and live life on her own terms. She'd be a great preschool teacher -- definitely lots of experience with little ones.

I don't understand TLC and this show. We have seen Jinger's wedding, but will see the preparations for this event in January? Why did they waste last week's episode "honoring Jinger"? That was pointless. They should have shown the prep/shopping for this wedding last week. I'm so over this mess.

Heart in Florida said...

Derick is a douche. What a jerk. How inappropriate for him to have "kissed" Jill on the way out of the church. That groomsman should have asserted himself and pushed Derick aside and completed his "mission" in this wedding. What is wrong with Derick?
This was NOT humorous; as it was just plain wrong for him to embarrass himself, Jill, and her escort. DUGGARS, STOP BEHAVING LIKE STUPID JUVENILES, ESPECIALLY ON TV.

Auggie said...

Granna Girl, yes Joy's photo is showing with the Forsythe family....as in, part of the family!!! No wonder Johanna didn't look happy at Jinger's wedding. Its now Jana & Johanna & probably Jennifer taking care of all the boys!

I can't believe that Jana doesn't want to get married and have babies. I think, way back, she turned down a suitor that JB chose for her and now she's being punished and condemned to a life of taking care of her bachelor brothers.

Chris said...

I think this is the same Forsythe family that was on The tv show Worlds Strictest Parents several years ago.

So the Forsythe's are another attention-seeking family, and Joy was the perfect match. All the mates are attention-seekers.

Heart in Florida said...

I believe the reason we are seeing Jinger in high heels now is because Jeremy might have made an innocent statement like he always thought that he'd end up marrying a taller girl than Jing....so here she is compensating to be "what he wants her to be". I don't think walking around and touring Australia and NZ in high heels is a good decision.

Aimee said...

I am glad that Joy has known her Austin for 15 years - hopefully that means he likes her for her -tomboy and all not some "precious" version of her that JB and Michelle have sold him. That being said, why does it have to be on tv and People magazine right away?! They are so young and if it doesn't work they will have to do a People article about how it didn't work like Josiah/Marjorie. Breakups are so disappointing and I cannot imagine doing them infront of the whole world. If they do work, I hope they take their time!

Bebe said...

I really don't think anyone wants to be with a Duggar boy. What do they have to offer besides having no job, being controlling and wanting the wife to always be knocked up. Also look at Josh and the fallout from that I totally think it scared Marjorie off. Looking at Josh any woman can see what they most likely will be marring into, getting a repressed husband with no knowledge of relationships or sex which will explode when they step into the real world. Just like with the girls how terrifying must it be to not being alone with a man to having your first kiss, then losing your virginity without knowing anything about sex on the SAME DAY. I'd run for the hills crying if I was a Duggar girl. That's also another reason I think why men run for these repressed, unworldly 'girls', they are easy to control, and the joy of having a virgin and being the only thing she knows as being the right way. *Shutters*

Derick Duggar strikes again. He just can't resist the big dip/kiss whenever he's in front of a camera. Down here we call that "showing out". So Derick, you answered a question I had about you, thanks. You decided long ago to seek out Jim Bob Duggar. You know, the man with his own television show and plenty of daughters. I'll bet it really bummed you out when you had to work at Walmart for awhile. After all, NO ONE ELSE WAS WORKING! Right, Derick? Then the scandal happened with Josh and Jill was upset. PERFECT time to convince her to grab all the money and leave for CA, where you could live as a hippy. Just you, your man bun, your necklace and a girl named Duggar. Well, congrats. You did it. You fooled a lot of us, Derick, with your dreams of fame and money and a life of total ease. Now I understand why Jill is so miserable all the time. But hey. You fit in very well. Give Josh a big hug.

Why wasn't Ben, the one who introduced Jinger to Jeremy in the wedding? Could that be a big phony story as it doesn't seem likely a man in his late 20's would associate with that Ben child. I believe it was all set up by Jeremy to get into the Duggar fame and fortune and marry one of the Duggar girls. And so he has succeeded and should have had Ben in the wedding to prove his story. I doubt he's any better the man bun who wormed his way into the Duggar family by seeking out a prayer partner name Jimbob who just happened to have a tv show and available daughters? We shall see how long Jinger has those stars in her eyes.

No wedding means ol goofy can't show off and be front and center walking some daughter down the aisle.

Omg just watched a you tube clip of the Forsythes, on "the world's strictest parents." Daddy believes that the lord comes first, HE comes second, then comes the wife whose job is to be his helpmate and follow his lead. He looks a bit older than her, no surprise there. They only have two kids, who are home-schooled and help their parents run the camp. Daddy likes to keep them so busy working that they have no time to do much else but bible study. They are indoctrinated just like the Duggars--no dating, kissing for the first time on your wedding day. Joy-Anna is only 19 but apparently sees this as her ticket out of taking care of her brothers. Which leaves poor Jana, the designated spinster/house slave, sentenced to taking care of her parents for life. When JimBoob dies, will Josh become her boss?

Justhadtomention said...

If TLC and Jim Bob wanted ratings GOLD, they would have an open mic show where real fans asked real question. And they truthfully answered.
Example:

1. Do the kids receive any of the money from the show?
2. What does Michelle do during the average day?

Rudy Tecat said...

So, Joy is going to be stuck at that old Fort Rock place when she gets married? Wasn't that the awful, dirty place where Jana spotted the spider on the ceiling right above her bed? Where the girls were stuck with Jim Bob in that one episode? You really think Jana is going to visit her there, stay with her to help take care of Joy's 9month anniversary baby in a couple of years?

BrightLight said...

If Josiah and Marjorie got to split the people payout it was probably bitter sweet.

Even though Joy Anna has known Austin for 15 years, she's still young. Maybe they will make their courtship last longer though. Also, I actually think, they may end up the happiest of all the couples because a marriage based on friendship first tends to be much happier, based on what I've seen and experience. Also, Austin seems like a guy that leads a perfect life for Joy Anna. Living on and running a camp, with all the outdoor stuff involved seems like something right up "the former" Tomboy's alley. Also, I love that Austin's parents only have two kids, maybe that means, they won't pressure Joy-Anna to have a bunch. That or they couldn't have more than two.

OffBalance said...

Jeremy might also be turned on by high heels and told her to wear them. She, of course, would listen. I also think Jeremy has way more class and taste than most of the Duggars, so Jinger will be more taken care of style-wise compared to her sisters from now on. Time will tell.

BrightLight said...

Probably true, but what an awful thought that a dad would do that to his daughter. Hopefully, Jana will get the last laugh in the end.

I actually liked the Forsythe family after watching the show. They worked hard, but seemed kind, caring and loving, far more genuine than Jim Bob and Michelle! I feel Joy-Anna will be given far more attention and love from her in-laws and she'll be used to their values so that will be comfortable to her. If she has to join another Fundie family, they seem the most perfect for her.

So I was reading the Bates instagram feed and this really jumped out at me. Obviously we don't know who writes or maintenances their feeds, but I wanted to point out how vastly better written Kelly's post is compares to Michelle's concerning their similar aged daughter's birthdays.

*********

Happy 22nd Birthday, Alyssa! Wow, time flies! You've always been so much more mature than your young age conveys! I am especially proud of the wife, mother, daughter, friend, and Christian you've become! This past year of visits together has been an absolute highlight for me! You've made me feel so loved, and the time you take to FaceTime together with Allie Jane seems to somehow shorten the miles! Your middle name is JOY, and your personality says, "FUN!" It's no wonder, the kids beg to visit you so often! Much of my time is spent thinking of ways I can plan another opportunity to see you, because whenever you're around, it seems like the place livens up with fun, laughter, and excitement! I so miss our shopping sprees and lunch dates; if you were here, we'd head to O'Charleys!! Love you!!

*********

Jessa Blessa, you are a blessing to us. Happy Birthday! You went from being a high energy fun loving child, to a fun loving, responsible, mature, visionary, virtuous wife and mother.
You have inspired thousands of young ladies to seek God, to wait for the one God has for them, and set an example how to dress modern, but modest.

*********

Kelly's post is full of warmth and all about her love for her daughter. Michelle's is so distributing to me. She writes about Jessa the wife and mother, (note: Daughter or sister is not mentioned), the way Jessa dresses and about "waiting" for your man and her serving as an example to others. What the? Jim Bob and Michelle as parents appear to have zero true, genuine, affection or relationship with their children and it's pretty obvious to those looking. I'd love to know how the children really feel about each other. Sibling rivalry or complete indifference to their parents sporadic affection and attention?

Aunt Bea said...

I'd like to know when that "courting announcement" was recorded? I think for them to release it, Joy is already engaged. They're fudging timelines like they did with Jinger on this one, if you ask me. Joy doesn't seem very happy at all. Jill and Jinger were like puppies receiving a biscuit, Jessa hid her emotions and acted standoffish, and bitchy when courting Ben. Joy?....doesn't seem really interested in this guy or any guy. It's her only path in life other than being a Jana Jr.

Willow said...

I just have a little prediction. I could be way off and I hope I am. JMO. I had the thought that maybe Jim Bob is helping the Forsythes financially - as in buying a partnership in the camp. Not saying at all that is why Austin chose Joy, just saying he might think its a good chance to keep a little control over the new couple. I hope I am wrong, but its hard to just put anything past Jim Bob. They have been so involved with going to that camp, teaching seminars there, etc., that it just naturally comes to my mind. The sooner they get Joy in the picture, the sooner they can make more $$ off the Duggar name. Hope I am wrong!!! I do think this would be an ideal life for Joy, if she really loves this guy. I have seen him in group pics, etc., for a long time, so not really surprised there. I do think, aside from the extreme fundie issues, Joy will enjoy a life there - if her father-in-law is not too controlling like her dad.

I suspect that back when the Duggar girls and Anna went to the 'Bear' Lodge (can't remember the name or where it was) for a girls weekend that Joy was already courting or spending time with Austin. When they all went out to dinner Jessa said that she had invited some guys to join them and Joy got all embarrassed. That was when Anna said that any or all of them could be married within a year. Fast forwarded and Joy's photo is on Austin's family's website. Sounds serious.
I thought Hannie looked unhappy at Jinger's wedding. According to Duggar family, when the girls get giddy and distracted from courting they get fewer chores. So maybe poor Hannie is already filling in for Jinger & Joy.

I decided to check out that episode of "Strictest Parents" and could not believe that I had already seen it since I was not one to watch that show. Lord, Joy, you are in for it, girl! CON-TROLL-ING!!! Your future daddy-in-law is something else. He's the MAN, and he expects everyone around him to do as he says. The mother seems sweet though downtrodden, of course. Austin is as quiet as you'd expect him to be with a father like that. Austin's sister is downright weird - she parrots her daddy and talks in those annoying platitudes. "I wanna save my WHOLE heart for my future huzzbin. I don't wanna give away any pieces of my heart." VOMIT. Where oh where have I heard those nauseating phrases before? (On second thought, Joy, go ahead on. You'll fit in just fine, girl.)
Interesting that this boy's family only has two children, what's up with that? Also, does anyone know who's running the institute now that Bill Gothard has been dethroned?

Any conflict or disagreements between jim bob or jeremy has been rehearsed and practiced over and over. We don't know what is real. We don't know if the couples actually met the way they say they did on the show. We don't know who actually wanted to really get married or who is just courting and marrying to keep the show relevant. Until someone writes a tell-all book, we won't know what really went down on the show

Personally I don't think any of the ones courting have much to say. I think it goes down like this. We need a courtship next season. We need a volunteer or better yet, Jessa it is your turn to court. We will say you have met on a mission and have known each other 3 months okay. Not sure if this is how it goes but this is how I imagine it goes. Not saying this is true but it could be

Ok this show needs to be renamed Courting On...

I want to see them get the boys out there and courting! It would force JimBob to let the boys develop their own business and gain some independence. Yes, Josh is a pretty poor husband, but that was JimBob and Michelle's fault for trying to marry him off quickly even though they knew that he had problems.

John-David...okay, I'll admit I'm not his hugest fan. Better than Josh, though.

Joseph seems like a nice, hard-working, and humble guy. He seems pretty camera-shy, though, so he probably would hate having cameras focused on him for a season.

Josiah is a nice, sensitive guy and I hate to see him wasting away in the compound. Maybe a emotionally immature to be married, but staying stuck at home isn't going to help him.

These courtships are all staged and they're not even trying to hide it anymore. Notice how each successive courtship is less and less authentic: Anna was obviously not staged, Derick seemed a little suspicious with the "prayer partner" business but still seemed legit, Ben came out of nowhere, Jeremy seemed set up by the producers, and now this reality show guy Austin with an even higher profile than Jeremy. Obviously, the producers, just like everything else the Duggars do, are arranging at least the timing of the relationships if not orchestrating them entirely. I think they find someone with significant social media presence who may have mentioned the Duggar girls in comments or hashtags or something, and arrange it from there. It's just sick, like so much else lately in this country.

Re:Amiee's comment about Joy knowing Austin for so long that he likes her tomboy ways. First of all neither one of them have had the freedom to get to know each other as they have been kept on a strong leash from their parents. Also Joy has left those tomboy ways of her's quite some time ago. I believe it was around the time she turned 13 that Michelle decided she needed to make her ladylike & more like her older sisters.

I realize the Duggar clan was raised without manners but REALLY...They have no respect for anyone or anything including the House of God. All the tom foolery in the SANCTUARY during the weddings. Barefoot, running, shoving, grabbing and kissing - seems like their Christianity shows only when it benefits them. After seeing the behavior at previous weddings, I cannot believe any church would allow them to use their facilities.

I guess that Hannie is now 'one of the big girls' so she can be a bridesmaid and take on more chores at home. Time to train up her up to take on her share of chores, teaching her siblings, and serving joyfully beside Jana. She is certainly ready for her own buddy group by now. Seems so recent that Joy-Anna was reaching the same milestones. Oh wait, she didn't have to be a big girl until she was 13.

The sons really need to step it up and create some new Duggars to carry on the family name. Surely Josh's 2 boys cannot be expected to do it all.

It is time for this family to sit down, shut up, and get out of the spotlight.

Guess it won't be long until little Hannie is courting and married off to a stranger so Jimbob can gather up more TLC monies. He sells his girls, no doubt about it. Joy is getting ready to marry and then.....is it Hannie? What about those looser boys of his going courting? Guess no fundy family in the entire world will turn over their daughter to one of those uneducated, jobless boys who probably don't even know the "facts of life"!!

Now that Derick's brother's and Ginger's weddings are over, wondering when Jill and Derick will be heading back to CA? LOL We all know that's not happening anytime soon!

Sarahi Conde said...

Can someone tell me if Josh and anna have their own Facebook or Instagram or Twitter account? Do they just share with Jim Bobs official duggar family page?

Wonder if Jana got up at 4 this morning to get the two twenty five pound turkeys into the oven along with the tater tot casseroles and Boob's pumpkin pie.

Aunt Bea said...

I would bet that Michelle had very little to do with the cooking on Thanksgiving, like any other day for her. Yep, I bet Jana got up and did all the cooking herself, like any other day for HER. So sad that she's guilted in to believing that serving everyone in her family, like a housekeeper, will get her to a better place in heaven. Her parents have done a number on her...I'd be mighty fearful of the Almighty if I were Michelle and Jim Bob. Shame on them for using their kids.

The reason I think that the video of Joy's courting was filmed at least as early October is the tree color the background. I am in the Pacific Northwest and trees starting changing color in the beginning of October.

Re: Hoosier lady's comments. You hit the nail on the head about Jana slaving away cooking a dinner for God only knows how many people. Michelle has always come to the table, as if she was an invited guest & not a mother who has been in the kitchen for hours, preparing the meal. I remember one time, they showed Thanksgiving at the Duggars & there was only one pumpkin pie & it was all for "daddy." Michelle acted as if she had made it all by herself for her wonderful husband.

It's interesting to read comments about when will Jill & Derick head back to CA. I don't see Jill going back there for anything & yet Derick is firmly set on returning. I have never liked Jill & her snobby ways but it appears to me that she is close to a nervous breakdown. When she talks about CA all she can talk about is how dangerous it is, didn't she know that before she went? To answer my own question no she didn't, she was there with a well protected group to hand out stupid gifts to poor children. Can you even imagine the good they could have done if they weren't painting the nails of little girls, orphans many of them. Remember them passing out soccer balls & another time backpacks. What's a child whose hungry going to do with a backpack. Now Derick on the other hand, talks as if he's ready to head back to CA no matter what danger is there for his family. But Jill made her bed & she now has to lie in it. After all, he was in Nepal when he was Jim Bob's "prayer partner." None of these places are safe. So if you add it all up basically Jim Bob did a rotten job picking a husband for Jill. I fear the same thing will happen when the other girls start seeing what their lives will be like with the husbands Jim Bob picked for them

These people... Everything is golden on the Duggar front. Kinda funny how they tried to push Josh to the bottom of the picture lol

Re:Pumpkin Pie's comment about Joy being films at least as early as October. You're probably right about the picture of Joy being taken in October. Another example of the Duggars stretching the truth. You have to wonder when they will wake up & realize that you can fool some of the people all of the time & all of the people sometime of the time, but you can never fool all of the people all of the time. I think time is running out for them

I think this family has decided to "announce courtships" when engagement looks imminent. Joy should have a ring by Christmas, married by Valentine's Day. Another one bites the dust. What will Jana do?

Skittles said...

Oh, Jana will still have Hannie to help her take care of Ma and Pa and 'all them boy's.

Even if Jordyn and Jenny are moved up to replace Jessa and Jinger those two younger girls are older than Jill was when she was handed a kid to raise starting at age 6.

Sadly, Jill still acts as clueless as a 6 yr old trying to raise her poor precious son.

Good Lord Josh couldn't have looked less interested in being there in that photo. You know he's sitting on the floor thinking back to his other "adventures" before they were discovered. Poor Anna for being more or less (due to lack of education and choices) stuck with him.

Indiana said...

InVA, Anna does have choices. She'd make a fortune writing a tell all book about the Duggars, probably an advance of a few hundred thousand so she could purchase a little house cash, then make the rounds of talk shows and magazine deals. Then she could write a 2nd book about her ordeal with Josh and what he is like in private. She's a sweet, pretty lady who could find a nice man to treat her right..

Nancy said...

I don't think Anna could "make a fortune" for a book. The Duggars aren't stars. They're known only for having so many kids and secondarily for Josh. She'd be with one of the niche Christian publishers and she isn't a big author. She'd probably be lucky to get $50K out of the deal plus a little bit per book.

Indiana said...

I politely disagree with you Nancy. The show has been on tv for 10 years and like this site, people are discovering the Duggars are abusive rather then giving. The publicity about Josh's perversions plus the weddings, & babies made the covers of magazines plus prime time interviews and appearing on Good Morning America. She would need a ghost writer to help her and not go with a Christian publisher but a main stream publishing company. She'd get a manager, appear on Dr. PHil and other shows to advertise the book. I feel it would be a hit and give her the money she needs to start over.

Nancy said...

Indiana, I fear you have a lot suppositions without foundation. The publishing world is quite a bit tougher than it seems to you. People have begun tuning out the Duggars from both Josh and overexposure. I don't know many people who would care what Anna thinks any more. She'd have to go find a good agent to even approach the kinds of things you're talking about and I still doubt a mainstream publishing company would care. I don't see it happening.

Of course, the biggest hurdle is that Anna will never do this. She won't even attempt it.
