Re: Next weeks episode. They are going to relive what's happened this season. Most of this entire season has been repeats & now more repeats. Oh Boy a special guest? There's nobody special enough for me to watch.

Not surprised said...

Oh good grief. I did not watch the first time through.

Who is the surprise guest? Josh ?

Heart in Florida said...

Recap?....recap of WHAT? This "season" had 1.5 episodes with anything new or interesting. Why would they waste an episode like this? Just get on with the only thing that we are remotely interested in seeing, and that's this "courtship" of Jinger and Jeremy's. TLC should have learned from Jill's boring dragged out wedding shopping, etc. and Jessa's being the same, that they would step it up and move forward in every episode.

smee said...

A recap of the recaps. I was wondering if the surprise guest is Josh, also. Or maybe the cult leader, Bill Gothard himself. The way this show has been going, though, the surprise guest might be a new kitten.

smee said...

Maybe the surprise guest is a squash or cucumber from Jana's garden.

bitsy said...

Yeah, can't wait to see the recap of the recap of the recap. Who thinks the special guest might be Flame?? It would be fantastic to see Ben secure a job instead of posting about taking a walk!! Could Derrick clean himself up, look like a business man & get a job in America to keep Jill and the baby safe and healthy? Maybe the special guest will be Gothard himself and we can watch Jimbob, Michelle & the entire cult drool over his every word !!!

smee said...

They will tell the viewers before each segment that they have a special guest coming up. They will say "special" in a very child-like way and raise their eyebrows like it is super exciting and this will be repeated 7-8 times. When the "special" guest finally appears it will be anticlimactic and dull as always.

Aunt Bea said...

I bet Pastor Jeremy has flown to Arkansas again. Who is "minding his flock"? I think it'll be him again.

tabitha said...

Maybe the special guest will be Sierra. gag! Since I have better things to do with my life than watch this hoping to see one small interesting thing .... Someone please tell me has Sierra the drama mama had her nose on the latest episodes?

Maybe the guest will be David Waller since he was so entertaining frolicking around with Josh.

Just Unbelievable said...

Ok folks I have the answer to who the "special guest," will be. Jana will get on the phone in the kitchen & say, everyone get to the living rm. right away. Then the surprise takes place. The Duggars parade in & formally introduce the boy they have taken in. I know he's a relative of Michelle's but don't know his name. Have seen him in some pictures, but now Jim Bob & Michelle can announce that they actually do have 20 children, no matter how it happened. Is he a foster child, that they have taken in for awhile, or have they legally adopted him?
I'm sure I'm right on this & know there will be a prize, offered by my fellow bloggers. Just to make things a little easier, I'd like a Lexus. Thanks friends

Judy said...

I'll guess the special guest is Amy.

Judy said...

I saw a 7 minute teaser special about the special. I wonder if Jill had a miscarriage earlier this year. The special was taped about seven weeks ago and she wasn't pregnant.

Just thinking... said...

I had seen pictures of Jill previously and thought she looked pregnant and now she doesn't.

Maybe that us why she appears sad.

jennie said...

If Jill had a miscarriage, wouldn't they have flown the fetus back to Arkansas and had a funeral as they did with Michelle's Jubilee? That would have garnered a huge TLC audience.
I'm feeling sick now, thinking of photos of Jubilee's hand and the boys digging that shallow looking grave for the homemade coffin. Anything for attention when it comes to the Dugggars......so now, doubt she had a miscarriage. Jill's looking sad because she is stuck with a man she really doesn't know who has morphed into a dirty looking outcast.

Smokey said...

I am guessing the special guest will be Amy or grandma Duggar. Probably Amy to kick off her new show

Willow said...

I agree with Smokey. I think its Amy. If so, another example of the Duggars being hypocrites.

Lisa Mcginnis said...

I going to take a shot and say jinger is already married? or the special guest maybe josh himself? they want a big audice so they are saying special guest.

Nancy said...

If Jinger is married why are they posting photos of Jinger and her sisters who are currently out and about?

Disgusted with Duggars said...

I agree that people have better things to do with their time than watch the "special guest". It will be something ridiculous. However the Duggars think everything they do is exciting & interesting, especial when they see that they are still drawing in viewers. They haven't had anything "special" on that show for at least the last yr. Certainly courting, engagements, marriages & babies, are all old news but not to the Duggars. That's what their lives revolve around.

Ruby said...

Smokey--as boring as the Duggars are Amy is difficult to watch also. Amy is hollow and attention seeking, kind of like an annoying 8th grade cheerleader. Her man child husband is obnoxious. Nope. Not watching their show either.

Allana said...

Has Any's husband been on Dragging On? Maybe he will be the special guest.
Or maybe a new dog?

Allana said...

I went to the Duggarfam blog and saw this:

Derick has also been working a number of jobs, including substitute teaching, to support his family. Jill, a Certified Professional Midwife since last fall, has used her midwifery skills to deliver babies while in Arkansas.

In his update, Derick makes it clear that the money that supporters have graciously donated to Dillard Family Ministries is being used to "help both the physically and spiritually destitute" in Central America.

HOW MUCH MONEY DOES A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER MAKE IN AR?
OH, JILL HAS A JOB?

mickey said...

Health insurance? I guess that they would be eligible for Medicaid, on a substitute teacher salary. And, I would not let Jill near me, after the fiasco with her sister, who almost died. And herself. A midwife needs to know when it is time to get medical attention.

Meme said...

Sub pay in Arkansas is pitiful and would not support a family. Also no insurance unless Derick is getting that through one of his "other jobs".

Captain Crunch said...

Im sure DerickDillard and JillyMuffin are getting an allowance from Jiminy Billy Bob, just like JessaBlessa and BengermanBenSeewald. I think the special surprise guest will be Jeremy Vuolo, as 'Dragging On' has to incorporate the upcoming nuptials in EVERY episode in true Duggar style.

Just Crazy said...

Just exactly how many babies has Jill delivered in AR.? When they showed her certificate stating that she was, a "Certified Professional Midwife",that certificate wasn't worth the paper it was written on, because the woman who trained Jill & others had her certification or license revoked when something went terribly wrong during a home delivery, where this woman was in charge. It was said that nobody trained by this woman could be considered a certified midwife, because she lost her certification or license. I don't remember if it was a certification or license. I don't think it's a license. I just had a terrible thought. Jill will probably be delivering Jessa's next baby. This would be taking a terrible chance after the way she hemorrhaged after Spurgeons birth & had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. There were no skilled medical professionals at Jessa & Ben's home for that delivery. There was Michelle, Jana, Jinger, I think & Ben's mom. I don't consider Jill a skilled professional either. We also never hear about them having good prenatal care. Boy they sure take terrible chances with their pregnancies & deliveries. I hope & pray nothing goes wrong but we know Jill will be in charge & that doesn't bode well for the delivery, considering how she handled her own delivery, in this day & age taking castor oil to get the labor moving along. I've seen thing go wrong in the hospital under the care of skilled professionals but at least there is immediate help available, if you are under the care of people who do this all the time, your chances for a safe delivery for mother & baby are really increased.

Just Furious said...

Re: Derrick's job as a sub teacher. In almost any type of job you need to be working there for a certain period of time to qualify for any medical benefits. I'd be furious if they were getting Medicaid. Derrick had a good job that he just threw away to go & be a missionary. Now back in the states, if his family needs medical care it's for sure Jim Bob won't open up his wallet. So they will probably get Medicaid. Sure makes those of us who go to work daily, just as our husbands do to pay our bills including medical care really furious

Aunt Bea said...

I bet DerickDillard substituted ONE DAY for the cameras and for content on the show. I doubt he's subbing 5 days a week in the school system. That would cut in to "other things" that he's involved in with this family, like hanging around and being available to take trips. Heck, on another blog, they posted a pic of Izzy in a pack n play and it was obvious they were in a hotel room traveling around, yet again. They also were in the DC area at a different time. Why do they travel around so much with little or no regard as to the cost of these trips, is beyond me. Jill, BTW, assisted in ONE birth that we know of since her "diploma".

JeannieBean said...

I'm guessing the special guest will be....(drum roll and eye roll)...

Mrs. Jinger Vuolo. I'm betting that they're very recently married and this will be her big official introduction. Probably the best they could think of for excitement.

Ruby said...

JeannieBean--you are probably right. Sometime between today and tomorrow a wedding announcement will pop up on the internet. Then all the Duggar fans (and foes) will tune into this miserable excuse for a show and send the ratings skyrocketing, thus assuring another monotonous season of "Dragging On". It's just a hunch, I could be wrong.

Andrea said...

Just Crazy . . . Can you imagine the shock and horror the staff of the hospital must feel every time a women comes in after a home birth? Our only hope for Jessa is when she was admitted after the birth of baby number one, some wise OB spoke with her sternly and said: "Never attempt something so stupid again." Honestly, her situation was very, very grave and from the photos immediately following the birth everyone looked really stressed. I realize the Duggar's are dim, but come on, they can't be that stupid as to repeat a home birth which ended in an ambulance ride and a required an emergency blood transfusion for the mother.

Tanya T said...

I believe the special guest is Jinger's BABE.

RocknRoll said...

I think it will be Amy promoting her show. They said special guest which implies no one we have seen a while so it couldn't be Jeremy since that wouldn't be special, oh wait this is coming from the Duggars and their idea of special is touching another human's hand so I don't know anymore that the rest of you.

Jen S said...

Agree! Jinger is the only one who seems really excited.

Bird said...

I think jimbob insists on the home births, they are more exciting and draw huge Duggar followers.I wonder how many home births michelle really had, she loved the attention...

Andrea said...

I mean, even the fan blogs are saying this season has been entirely comprised of clips from previous seasons and now an entire episode of old clips. It's like TLC is trying to make MAX money for MINIMUM out lay of cash. Genius really when you think about it. Think this episode will hold steady with about a million viewers.

Special Guests . . . Amy and Grandma Duggar? At the beginning of the promo they say they're in Tennessee, so afterwards they go and watch Amy perform in some dive bar in Nashville. They all sitting looking around looking uncomfortable while listening to Amy's voice and an extended promo for Amy's upcoming special. Grandma Duggar is there to ease the tension between the two groups as we all know Amy hasn't really been in her cousins good books recently, blabbing to People Mag about the family situation really dampened that relationship.

Can't Fool US said...

Was Jill's midwife certificate printed out on the same printer as those Duggar Academy diplomas?

Just Unbelivable said...

Since many bloggers have come up with good suggestions about the "special guest." I think I'll have revoke my initial spur of the moment guess about it being the boy they have taken in, as either a foster child, or adopted. Well I guess there goes my Lexus!

Crazy Bunch said...

Re: Andrea's comments about Jessa being warned about another home birth that would probably end in grave danger. I agree with Andrea, but do the Duggars ever follow the advice give to them by professionals? Jill will definitely take over, after all during Jessa's labor & delivery they had to keep Jill in the picture by skype. She didn't even have the brains to tell them to call an ambulance.

Debbie S said...

Re the lack of health ins. I think as long as they are under 26 they qualify under their parents health insurance.

Ruby said...

Is it just me or is Jessa extra smug and bossy in this segment? The way she sits there answering questions with that know-it-all smirk. She's a piece of work.

Allana said...

Maybe this is the dictionary definition they mean when they say 'Special' as in Special guest.

1.peculiar to a particular person, thing, instance, etc.; distinctive; unique
2. different from what is ordinary or usual

too bad,so sad said...

Debbbie-you are correct. Adult children may be covered under the parents' medical insurance whether or not they are in school, and whether or not they live with parents, attend school or are married and have children. The part we do not know is whether Michelle and JimBob even have insurance themselves. Also I worked where they offered a medical plan and there was an extra, quite large, copay for adding adult children to the plan. I also doubt that a parent can add a son in law to the plan.

Vicki said...

I wonder if TLC paid when Jill and Jessa both went into the hospital. I could see Jim Bob quickly making that deal to allow TLC to film it.

Twilight said...

I don't want to increase the ratings since I want them off ASAP so i won't watch.

I will be watching on the Internet to learn who the surprise guest is.

Elvis maybe?

Andrea said...

I obviously don't know but I suspect that Jim Bob and Co have a group insurance policy similar to a small businesses. Everyone living on or around the compound is likely covered. The premiums would actually be quite reasonable as the majority of the members are young (ie. the minors, plus any adult children and their spouses). I highly doubt they don't have insurance only because so many episodes focus on dental care and medical visits. I suppose that could be because TLC was paying the bill but I doubt it. It actually just makes financial sense to have a group policy for that number of young and seemingly healthy people.

Tanya T said...

Ha big surprise.... it was Jeremy! We could all see that coming. I think Jill's pregnant or depressed? She was awfully emotional for some odd reason tonight.

smee said...

That's all? Jeremy? What?

Allana said...

Jeremy?
And they got high ratings for telling us there was going to be a surprise guest? I'm glad I didn't watch.

Meme said...

Well, how did everyone enjoy the Jessa Show? Since I could not stomach it all, I have a question. Here it is: Did she ever shut up?! How annoying. Even when a question was asked of someone else Jessa had to answer too. Jana is so lovely. She is the only girl who is mature and not in need of ATTENTION.
Oh, and Jimbob jr. Derick Duggar did such a nice little (big) dip for the cameras, didn't he? Wish his man bun would've slipped off. One "dip" in the family is more than enough Derick, thank you very much. Stop trying to be Dipbob.

Alex said...

How many times did someone mention that Central America is very dangerous?

Sarahi Conde said...

All I can think about was that ugly face jinger gave when they asked if she was gonna have children right away, she was like hell no! You can tell she is only interested in it being her and her man only

Allana said...

Meme,
Since I don't watch what did yoh mean about 'Derick Duggar's' dip for the camera? Did he dip his head? Was he dipping snuff? Acting like a dipstick?
Sorry but I am dying to know.

Laughed that you called him Derick Duggar. He wants to fit in so badly.

I thought he had so much going on before Jill and Jim Bob got ahold of him.

Allana said...

Do tell please what made TLC think it was so special for Jeremy who looks weird in skinny pants to be touted as a surprise guest?

What is so special about him going to see his fiancée? I thought that was what one did before they had a wedding'

I wonder if there will be a picnic on the grounds afterwards.

I did like her back in the old days when I used to watch and I do think she is sweet and innocent. I wish her the very best. I just hope he is sincere and treats her good.

sandi said...

I only saw a preview, but really, why was Jill crying so hard, when it was only a towel rack that fell?
Most ppl would be laughing and breathing a sigh of relief over such a silly mistake.
If she is really all that frightened and unhappy, then I hope Derick gets her out of there

Molly said...

Jill sure looked pregnant in this episode, especially when they were all sitting on the couch. But she also looked like she's just gained a few pounds while in CA.

I also noticed that Derrick and Jill attacked the food when they got back to the guest house. Even Joy made the comment that Derrick could put his backpack down. I understand when on a plane and traveling you don't eat right and they could have been starving, or they just don't eat correctly in CA (Jill doesn't cook).

When they were showing the plane footage of Israel running around and hitting the seat in front of them even my 15 year old made the comment of "wow, would've hated to be on that plane"

Jeanette said...

Derrick and Jill look clinically depressed and it makes me sad. As far as I know, they are missionaries unconnected to a denomination so that would make them alone with no support of any kind? Derrick's eyes were dead and he gave appropriate and expected answers. I wanted to hug him. There is no joy in this couple. They seem to feel resigned to their fate to live in a dangerous area. They are almost fatalistic. Missionaries I've known and heard are very enthusiastic about their calling. I wish they could do like Jeremy and Jinger and move to the states and away from her family and volunteer at a church here. Derrick can use his degree and they won't be putting their baby in danger anymore. The Southern Baptists, for example, remove their missionaries if they are in danger. There's no reason to put their child at risk. This is the end product of legalism and rules that man has made up: misery and hopelessness.

Meme said...

Hi Allana! Derick and Jill stood up from the couch and decided to kiss right in front of the camera. Derick pulled a Jimbob move and dipped Jill as he did the day they got married. Reminded me of how Jimbob always dips Michelle. Except for one or two, they all LOVE attention.

too bad,so sad said...

Jeanette- I agree Derick and Jill can do a lot of charity work and don't even need to leave their own state. Arkansas is #46 in the nation as far as poverty levels. Only 4 states have more poverty than their own state. I don't know why they don't want to follow "charity begins at home." Knowing they want to continue to have babies I do not understand why they would ever return to C.A. while so many in their own state need help.
In most jobs one needs to evaluate what one has achieved during each time period, using some sort of unbiased assessment. Have D & J sat down and evaluated how much they have achieved and contrasted that against what they spent in donations?
From what I read it may be their sister Jinger who may be living in an area with more violence. It seems like Laredo Tx. has its share of law breaking. However, there is no reason for me to believe that Jeremy will be returning to that small church. He may take a different post or chose a different career or just be a Duggar son in law.

Auggie said...

When Jill talked about being alone at night while Derrick was out playing missionary, I could only imagine how scary that would be for someone who never spent a minute by herself, could never even go run an errand by herself and then found herself in a new and 'dangerous' country where she had no family around and was alone at night - with a baby.

The Duggars haven't done their children any favours by requiring accountability partners every minute of their lives!

Captain Crunch said...

A couple of things..JillyMuffin was just ridiculous when describing the scary incident in CA..shows how sheltered she really is...glass was breaking must mean shes on the verge of getting murdered..so off they go to hide in the bathroom, thier safe room where they messaged people on their laptops to pray for them because they were in danger.. give me a break...and then the tears.. I guess she's really going for the Emmy Award there..and did anyone notice the look on Jinger's face when the interviewer asked her and Babe how soon they're going to have children and Derek interrupted and said before the end of the year? Jinger looked like she wanted to yell 'none of your business DerickDillard!'

laura said...

One more example of the duggars exhibiting dumbness is saying how dangerous CA is but then bringing your wife and brand new baby down there to live.
Among 'the physically and spiritually destitute.'

I'm pretty sure a lot of families down there would not appreciate being called that and are in fact pretty normal considering the situation down there.
No one feels sorry for you except your family who is too ignorant to question your decisions or to provide intelligent, mature, logical advice since both of you do not naturally possess Common Sense

I can't speak for everyone but it appears the general consensus on this site is Derrick- lose the crazy christian jungle cult leader look, get a real job and jilymuffin grow up and take some parenting classes while you're at it.
I expect Israels first words were something like salvation or I repent or may god save my doomed soul from hell or someone please rescue me from these religious zealots or can I just get a decent hug?

Judy said...

I feel sorry for Jill. The pressure to be pregnant must be enormous, especially with Jessa pregnant. Jill commented in the last episode that she was still nursing; some people can have a harder time getting pregnant when they are nursing. Jessa appeared to have stopped nursing when Spurgeon was about six months so that may why she had an easier time. Meanwhile, they say it's up to God but they are trying. That makes no sense. Jill looks very sad.

Miss Meg said...

So very tired of listening to Derick and Jill blather on and on about life in Central America and how dangerous it is. What exactly do they do down there? They aren't digging wells/helping bring fresh water to villages. They aren't providing medical or dental care to the needy. They aren't teaching useful subjects to the children. They aren't helping with renewable food sources for the hungry. They do nothing accept have bible study classes for a few people who then have to choke down Jill's banana bread. Those 2 clueless fools need to pack it up and move back to Duggarville. There, they are encouraged to do nothing except read their bibles and it's not as dangerous as Central America.
When he was in university, my son went to Honduras to work on a clean water project. They dug trenches and laid pipe to bring water to a remote village. Unlike Derick and Jill,( actually all the Duggars) we firmly believe in Matthew, Chapter 25, Verse 40. "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, yet have done it unto me"

Yup, that what being a missionary is all about Jill and Derick

Jak&Jil said...

I too am extremely tired of hearing about the violence in CA. They never describe what kind of violence takes place and where it occurs, but Jill and Derick make it sound like it is happening right outside their front door. I wonder if it's anything like the air strikes, IEDs and ISIS that our service men and women encounter on a daily basis in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq (don't think so). Jill's crying about how scared she was in CA just showed how isolated she was growing up and has problems with adult situations. I really hope they both do themselves a favor and stay stateside in the future. Agree with too bad, so sad that they can be helping people of their own state.

I don't know if anyone else heard it, but when Jinger and Jeremy were talking outside, Jinger said they were getting married in 6 weeks (I had it taped and ran it back 3 times). I don't know when that episode was taped, but Jessa was 17-1/2 weeks pregnant and she's probably close to 24 weeks now. So other commenters could be right that Jinger and Jeremy are already married or will be very shortly.

amy kahan said...

Before Jeremy arrived, Jinger was being pretty snippy w the producers!

Cheryl Vetter said...

What has puzzled me for years with Anna, and now Jill, is why they take so many pregnancy test that turn out negative? Here's an idea ladies, how about you actually wait to see if your menstrual cycle is late, and then take the test?? In the past, Anna has mentioned taking tests and she's not pregnant. In the recap show, Jill said she's taken lots of pregnancy tests, and she's not pregnant. Why are you wasting money on all these tests?! Miss your cycle and then test! Don't test the morning after every time :)

Cat said...

I feel really bad for all these kids, they really dont know who they are marrying, Jb finds them, now we hear they fill out a questionnaire anf return to him? Jill gets married, pregnant and after a horrendous labor gets sent to CA with no family and a strange man who she really didn't know!! She looks very sad, Derrick just looks sick!!

Willow said...

Jill's tears were crocodile tears. She has always been a bad actress/phony crier. She digs at her eyes to make it look like she is crying, but she isn't. Remember the Megan Kelly interview? She should tell the director/producer that she isn't good at fake crying and just stop trying. The dip was ridiculous. Jessa just cannot keep herself from being the boss. Jana looked disgusted, mad and sad. Why can't she just go ahead with her plans for her "shop/business"? Why does she have to be involved in every detail of everyone else's lives? She has paid her dues many times over. Get a backbone Jana, it is someone else's turn. Why were Jana and Joy standing behind the couch of couples and not any of the guys? Why were they in Nashville and who's house was that? Does anyone know if it is Scott's house? The Duggars and their circle have two weddings in November that we know of. I think Jinger's is 10/29 or 11/4. Just my little side guess. Also note: They can keep Jim Bob on the show by re-playing clips of him. That is how he got to be on this show. OMG, it is such a hot mess. I am laughing, though, in spite of it all. Happy Halloween everybody. :)

smee said...

Jill's comment about taking "tons of pregnancy tests" again. (Those things are not cheap.) And I think it's pretty obvious that Jill doesn't understand the first thing about the physical signs of pregnancy, listening to your body and then taking a pregnancy test when you are reasonably sure that there have been several signs pointing to a possible pregnancy. I can't imagine the emotional roller coaster she must be on always thinking she is pregnant and having her hopes dashed. That is no way to live. She is supposed to be a midwife. A midwife is supposed to understand how a woman's body works. A midwife is supposed to be trained in women's physical and emotional health. This is clearly not the case. We see an immature child-like woman with her pricey Doppler stethoscope pretending to be a midwife. Pathetic.

Aimee said...

I was SHOCKED they allowed Jeremy's line: "the only thing the Bible says is to prevent the marriage bed from being defiled" meaning he isn't necessarily interested in saving their first kiss for marriage.
Poor Jill. I think, based on their 2 week vacations to CA handing out candy she thought she wanted to be a missionary. Derick seemed like a perfect match but now she has lived the missionary life and looks like she desperately wants to come home. She is terrified there and now, being home, is feeling the pressure to have another baby more than ever. Jessa is so rude: "I cannot believe I am pregnant before Jill" Derick on the other hand seems SO happy with the mission work they are doing. He is already ready to go back! While Jill may want another baby to keep up with Michelle, Anna, and Jessa she may also be scared to be pregnant/deliver/have a newborn in CA.

Shelli said...

Just watched this episode online and was disgusted to see Jessa running the show. Talking for and over people, making cruel comments about her sisters and egging on her husband to "rap" when she knew how silly he would look. Why they put up with that smug bitch is beyond me. JessaBlessa wouldn't last long in the real world with that attitude. Regular folk don't think being uneducated and pregnant with a lazy boy-husband in something to crow about. I sometimes get the feeling that the smiles and looks the sisters exchanged with each other were as phony as a $3 bill. Lots of undercurrents there. I guess "staying sweet" has its limits in the Great Duggar Baby Race.

Judy said...

Derrick and Jill aren't really interestd in doing charity work, though. They are interested in converting people. They convert people under the guise of charity work. They do a few things and then convert them. It makes sense that they would do that in CA and not in Arkansas.

Judy said...

The pregnancy test thing is so sad. Being pregnant is really the only thing that gets any of the women in this cult any notice or love or appreciation at all. Michelle used to take tons of them, too, as I remember.

gen said...

Jak&Jil: This week on People.com they were comparing Jessa's 25 week pictures. So that would mean that they got married last week or this week tops.

I don't think it would be next weekend because it would be too close to Jessa's wedding date on November 1st. Queen Jessa would not have that.

At least even though it's a late fall wedding it's taking place in Texas, the temp is hotter and more stable than Arkansas at this time of the year. Her ice cream sunday bar was ridiculous with the weather being cold.

Shelli said...

Ah yes, a recap of the bear encounter at wilderness camp. No worries about JoyAnna being molested by the bear; he probably hadn't finished filling out Jim Bob's questionnaire.

Sorry, why again was this filmed in Nashville? No explanation was provided? Seems odd. Was the filming in TN just an excuse for a TLC paid vacation? This is just getting weird and weird. For people who have shoved themselves and their lives in front of the camera and social media in years to suddenly go so silence is odd. Honestly, is Ginger not actually interested in the Duggar brand / TV show and she's the one driving the lack of content? This week basically nothing new and next week a episode based entirely on old weddings . . . TLC the only wedding we want to watch is Ginger's. What's going on?

I don't watch the Duggar Hot Mess said...

Maybe Jill is freaking out wanting to be pregnant as the fear of Zika might keep her from returning back to Central America. She might not realize that being stressed can keep her from getting pregnant as well as still breastfeeding.

sandi said...

Cheryj, some of the newer pregnancy tests on the market nowadays are very sensitive, and can pick up pregnancy hormones a few days before a cycle is even missed.I'm guessing that's what the girls are doing,is testing before their next cycle is due

For those who asked about Derrick dipping Jill. For some unknown reason when the couples got up to take a break, Derrick grabbed Jill & kissed her while dipping her almost to the floor. Memories of Jim Bob & Michelle, showing us how much they are in love as well as Josh in the church at Jessa's wedding grabbing Anna out of the procession & kissing her while dipping her almost to the floor as they left the church. Reminds me of the old saying: "me Tarzan you Jane."

Heart in Florida said...

Well, I guess Jill is having a difficult time living out those platitudes she has spewed all these years. It's not so great being a subservient wife who is powerless to influence her own family's life, is it, Jill? She never imagined that perhaps a wife would NOT AGREE with her husband's decisions and how that would affect HER? She's been one of the "smug ones" herself these years now she's living it. I'd like for her to try and defend it now.

I guess the thing that upsets me so much is Jill. She seems to be the one who drank the most Kool Aid in this cult. I would love to tell her that Bill Gothard is not Jesus. He's a man who came up with many unscriptural rules that harm people. When she cried the other night, it was probably the realest she's ever been. There comes a time when things are so painful and hard that we can no longer suppress how we feel, let alone hide behind a grinning "countenance". We were never meant to. Elijah asked God to take his life. Paul despaired of life. David cried out to God over and over again in the Psalms. We need to be honest and accept the grace God provides. This is not the warped definition of grace Gothard teaches. It's love, help, comfort, and hope. If only she could get away.

Test are more sensitive, you're absolutely right. I just personally wouldn't waste the money until I showed signs of pregnancy - which Jill as a midwife should know, or my cycle was late. Those tests can get pricey, just doesn't seem thrifty to waste money on them as often as they say they are :)

Lawson Bates had a concert in Knoxville this past weekend so maybe they went to that event and that was why they were in TN.

Jill's sheltered bubble got popped. Mission work is not passing out candy and cheap toys to families who need the basic necessities first and foremost. The Duggar mission trips were guided tours with bodyguards. Unfortunately her parents did not teach any of the children how to live in the real world because they were too busy feeding their own insecurities. Jim Bob was ignored/laughed at by girls in high school and Michelle was in desperate need of attention and they fulfilled each other's needs-- Michelle through repeated pregnancies and Jim Bob parading his family around like a resume of his sexual prowess. I think I remember he did that at Michelle's high school reunion.
Jessa stop the passive/aggressive bullying and Jill go find some big girl panties and put them on and Ben please grow up and then go to the Ear Nose and Throat doctor to clear up your nasal issues.

Just use Dollar Tree ones. :) For my daughter the Dollar Tree test turned before EPT.

You can get packs of 20 pregnancy tests for less than $10 on amazon. They're way cheaper than they used to be. Even the early detection ones.

Why are these supposedly modest women always talking about pregnancy tests. This is a private matter between husband and wife. The thought of Jill having marital relations with Derrick is disgusting anyway. He's a dirty looking mess and she looks so beaten down lately.

Re Shelli's comment, you hit the nail on the head. About Jess's egging Ben to "rap" knowing how silly he'd look..(for her siblings to laugh at) can't help but wonder what part of her vows (promise to encourage him, inspire him, help him to follow his dreams, etc..) that falls into.
