Boards on boards type comments do not progress the conversation and are not generally allowed. Samples are such as all of you people are judgmental bitches and need to get a life, I like the Bateses and if you don't like them just don't watch, and other such comments referencing other peoples' opinions and telling people off or how to think. Polite disagreement with foundation is fine. Rude, inflammatory, or debating style comments are not.

Words I Never Thought I'd Type - Michelle Duggar on Raw Foods
Recently my family was in San Antonio for the Reformation of Student Family Conference. Afterward some of the kids and I decided to take a few cooking classes, a French one and a raw food one. We made all sorts of stocks and sauces in the French class. But we did a lot more chopping in the raw food class!
It was my favorite class. I was encouraged by how we can do better and do more of it for the family. And it was very yummy! I'm excited about the recipes and can really see my kids eating the dishes.
The key is the way that it's prepared and the flavors that are put with the vegetables; it just makes it really good and very nutritious because it's all live enzymes that aren't cooked, and this way they stay active, which is healthier for us.
In the class we took raw walnuts and put them in a food processor with a little bit of cumin and some other spices and just very lightly chopped them up a little bit. It was a little crunchy but it tasted like taco meat, and it's an easy thing to toss on salads or put in tacos -- I was just so amazed!
It was really encouraging after we learned these raw food techniques and the benefit of buying organic produce when you can. We realized we can buy local in our area, and that buying in bulk is key for our family.
There's also a natural foods co-op where we live, and we have different friends that we can buy stuff together and split it and still get really high-quality, healthy stuff without all the pesticides. For instance, we buy organic beef with a friend and freeze it. So we're trying to put to use what we've learned where we can.

Reith-Bates Courtship Ended
Kelly has posted to end the speculation or our near certainty that the courtship ended.
Many have asked for an update on Zach and Sarah’s courtship that was announced last June. After prayer, Sarah decided to end the courtship several months after it began. We have not posted any updates or answered any comments about it until now, in order to give both Zach and Sarah time to heal.Any parting of a relationship causes pain, and although we would love to avoid heartaches in life, it is through these very trying times that character and faith often grow. For Zach, it has been a time of learning, thinking, and drawing closer to Christ.Zach is grateful that he and Sarah hadn’t chosen the traditional path of dating, since it protected them from wrong goals and further pain. The three main goals of their courtship were 1. to maintain purity, 2. to discover if they were the right life partners for marriage, and 3. to honor God first and foremost in their relationship. In that sense, their courtship was a success, as they achieved each of these goals.Although the relationship did not progress into engagement and marriage, their time together was focused on strengthening their walk with the Lord, and therefore ended in friendship. Zach is grateful for having developed a relationship with Sarah and her family. He has learned valuable insights from the example of their family harmony and love for God. In spite of the pain of parting, he is full of memories and experiences that have encouraged him, strengthened him, challenged him, and humbled him. He can appreciate the growth that has taken place in his life as a result of these circumstances.Thank each of you for your prayers and thoughtfulness!
