More product endorsement for $$$?...reminds me of another mom... It's also annoying how they're like the poster family for Apple. There was a comment asking if all the kids have iphones/ipads, and IMO the answer is that if they don't already, they will. Totally ironic, considering Apple outright & proudly supports "equal rights". Again though, IMO, I bet it has to be because there's some sort of paid endorsement involved (they probably would rather be protesting the company otherwise.) Michelle brought this up before fairly recently, maybe in one of those video clips or on the show I don't remember, talking about how a few years back they "acquired" (yes, she specifically used that word) "some iphones" and went on to talk about how they're the greatest thing since sliced bread because they can link all the members of the family's schedules together, yada, yada. Yes, let's see..."Acquired"...hmmm...
What's sad is that Joy had to program in birthdays. Doesn't Michelle know the birthdates of all of those children that she delivered? Even worse, doing the math, if you add in the producer, Sean Overbeeke, who is also in their "family" group, Joy doesn't even have her own phone. Maybe she gets one when she turns 16 in about a month?
I wondered about the birthdays, too. I remember one time meeting a grandmother of 20-something grandkids. She rattled off their names, ages and birthdays without batting an eye. Surely a mother of many can do that.
About the iStuff, didn't I read awhile back that they got them for having a cell tower on their property?
I'm sure Michelle had Joy program the birthdates because it would be time consuming, not because Michelle doesn't remember when she gave birth. I'm fairly certain she's not that far gone in the head... if nothing else, it just seems lazy. I don't think it would take THAT much time, but I certainly don't think it would be because Michelle doesn't know how.
Sean Overbeeke isn't their producer anymore- I think it's been 2 or 3 seasons since I've seen his name on the credits. His episodes were actually really well put together and told a story-unlike the recent seasons where everything is all jumbled together.
I can't find them on their website any more. The Maxwell family used to sell "chorepacks." They were these things where you could put cards on a chain for the kids to wear so they could see what chores they had to do.

They seem to have been replaced with software packages to produce them yourself.
As to chores she likes or not: I thought, that the Duggars didn't have dishes? Paperplates and such? And as far as I understood, Mrs. Duggar Senior and some of the girls do the laundry? I may be wrong. That would be laundry. BUT, the kids "help out", so she might get around that. As to Joy programming the b-days: Actually, I can relate to that. Very often I do need the help of my niece or nephew to program stuff on my mobile phone. So I suppose, that is the reason. At first I wondered, why she got along with the apps, but since I get along, once I am set up I suppose that it is the same with her. Apart from all that: with all their faults, I still like them. I have a packload of faults myself. Only mine are not shown on TV. And yes, I am aware, that JB and M chose to be on TV, but still, as far as I can see and understand, they didn't start it, they just took and offered chance...

They didn't likely get cell phone products for life by having the tower. They'd be paid rent for use of the land.

Who do the kids call. They do not have many friends, out of the family.
They may give them free cell. If the rent is equal to how they would be for all the cell plans.

Who or What is Maxwell Chorepacks? Sounds like a cartoon character, Just like the Duggars!

Yes, the actual Chorepacks are replaced by software to make your own kits.
