Hey Laura, You are right about the messy hair, thinking of Mullett's hair that always looks like she stuck it in a blender full of grease to style it. I'm seeing that Jinger looks so much prettier since she dumped the dark eye makeup and has pulled her hair back. I wonder how often the younger kids get a bath and their hair washed. Dropping to the floor in their day clothing when they fall asleep, as reported, means they probably they do not brush their teeth or get bathed. It would be easy to get them on a schedule, 8 pm, line up for bathing, tooth brushing then parents read them a bedtime story and I do not mean some bible reading that they do not understand. But that takes effort on Michelle's part and how much of this can Jana do on her own?? Orphanages are more organized.
I love Joy's hair now. It looks so healthy and beautiful being so straight. I agree it wasn't the best at her wedding. Not sure why she opted for that look, but post marriage, she has model, silky hair. Jessa had gorgeous hair post-marriage too.It is okay now, just not the glam (pretty curls/waves) style she had during her honeymoon. I even liked the bangs she sported for a while. She looked sophisticated. I wonder what she would have looked like if it was shoulder length, with those pretty bangs? I too would love to see Jinger with a cute style. She is stylish and would knock it out of the ballpark!
If they can go to a salon for pedicures then someone should show them the way to a good hair salon. I doubt anyone who lives in the Tinker Toy House is very clean.
There was a pic posted on another forum showing Carlin Bates in scrubs. Now I know maybe why. They went to the Philippines with some group and a pic turned up of Lawson with dental scrubs on looking at some poor girl's' mouth.No matter if they go and try to 'help' down in Texas, this is highly dangerous and disgusting. The Bateses are showing more and more of the craziness.
he Bateses and Duggars need to stop being pretend medical anything. As I said I'm glad the DUggars did not go to Texas. I'm pretty sure Nathan and Lawson got allowed only because of their minor fame.
I think Jana is the one who is 'very clean'. I also love her hair, especially when it is straightened. She always has a pretty style. She dresses really cute too. If only the younger ones followed in their older sister's footsteps.
If I remember correctly, Josiah, Joseph and Jeremiah completed Alert. Maybe Josh and John. Supposedly they were trained in emergency response. Are they in Texas. If not, why not?
One good thing for Jana is with all the older girls married and out of the house that she has her own clothes. Wonder if she gets to keep them in the actual closet in the bedroom
Didn't Princess Jill get to grab all of the shared clothes when she left (the ugly mustard sweater), then Jessa got the next pickings, then Jinger, followed by Joy....and Cinderella Jana takes the left behind denim skirts.
I wish Jeremy would introduce someone to Jana. I bet Jim Bob would NEVER let a marriage like that happen again. Jeremy is not following the leader (Jim Bob).
Jana's hair is naturally straight. She permed it those years ago for that fried-crunchy curly Gothard look that all her sisters AND her mother had (Michelle still does).
Why hasn't Jill congratulated Joy on her pregnancy??? She was so close to her since she was her buddy leader/sister mom her entire life. Joy was so upset when Jill was getting married and moving out of the house. Jinger, Jessa, and Michelle/JB congratulated Joy and Austin. That is so strange, her 'second mom' hasn't. Doesn't seem right.
Jana's hair has recovered well, as she definitely has the most healthiest looking hair of them all. She is so pretty!
They hang their clothes on rolling racks in the girls dorm. They use the closet for some other purpose. No matter how they decorate, it always looks trashy. The young girls need their own rooms and Jana needs privacy and time AWAY from them. Bad planning but it could easily be corrected. Jana could also be given the guest room.
Observation: There have been rumors that the Dillards have been 'let go' by TLC following Derick attacking Jazz and TLC on twitter. If that is the case maybe they won't post because these congrats videos are all for publicity, they know how to keep the fans salivating for more and drumming up interest in the show. If they are no longer a part of it why help promote it? TLC will feature them this upcoming season because its already filmed, but they are not featured on TLC counting on facebook promotional pictures, only the other three married couples. I wonder if its true will TLC announce it at some stage because the Duggars/Dillards never will.

for his adored Princess Jill. He knew whomever got married first of the girls would have the most lavish photo shoot and receive the most attention. Nice perk for the one refered to as the Tattletales and who ALWAYS did the right thing.
So Jessa, who was already courting, got pushed aside for the Pop's precious daughter to rush in and marry before DerickDillard could think it through.
Leela, Jill shared the same photo Joy posted of herself eating a sundae that says 'eating for two'. Not the same, when Jill is one who was a regular posting congrats/happy birthday/anniversary videos. I am leaning towards what Tori said about TLC letting them go. It makes the most sense, since they won't be making a dime from the public announcements. I am sure she did in private. It was just strange because these two were lovers of social media.

This new season has quite a bit of Jill and Derrick, with their pregnancy, birth of baby...if TLC wants to cut Derrick, it will be quite a challenge, there may be some interesting editing going on...

Why should the duggars be in Texas helping? All talk and no action in my book? Several had emergency training and could help! At least give some money! Bet if they lost everything they would be begging
Mickey: Has TLC confirmed this yet? I have seen the same rumor circulating for a while now, although I had read it would be in a vlog on their website not on the actual show? I really think they have too much to loose by allowing Josh back on, the backlash would be swift and loud, although maybe its a cunning plan by TLC to get rid of the Duggars? TLC were pretty quick to get rid of Josh and limit the parents air time, they were also swift to come out and say they didn't agree with Dericks twitter rant. Allowing Josh any platform could finish the show and seriously damage the network, companies withdrawing all advertising from the network would finish them off.
I don't think they will try to edit the Dullards from this season especially with all the mystery surrounding Sams birth. If its already 'in the can' and they have been paid TLC will show it, I just don't think they will be asked back for the inevitable next season.
Just quickly glanced over at Dericks twitter, one person asked about donating and the donation site being down, he replied that they are trying to get it fixed so you can donate online. This guy just doesn't give up, he is determined to get his money no matter what. Obviously Cross church doesn't care about all the negative publicity, shame on them all its all about the almighty dollar, not faith or helping others just lining their pockets.
There is a short, short segment with Josh, to test the waters. As they say, any publicity is better than none.
TLC will never get rid of the Duggars, no matter what disgusting things the Duggar children do. It's been proven that they can commit sexual assault, beg for money when they live free & have new worth of $400,000., rant against other religions and even insult others starring in TLC shows. So anything goes according to TLC and the Duggars come out smelling like roses. The Dumb & Dumber Duggars need to be boycotted.
Maybe people should start complaining to advertisers if Derick and Josh are on.
I'd love to see one with Hannie, Jenny and Jordyn. Josie has already held the spotlight way too much.

Her FIL,Dan Webster, as I said before is nicknamed 'Taliban Dan" by a political opponent. It seems the Websters follow ATI 'religiously' and Dan has spoken at ATI conferences. bio says they home schooled under ATI. I don't buy for one minute they gave it up although Erin claimed her and Chad did.
Alyssa wearing pants or working in a cleaning service isn't too far out of the way for ATI/Quiverfull.Ben's sisters wear pants. The Duggars had more resources and income than the Bateses.ATI/Quivrfull promotes having your own business over a job with someone else.
I agree with sentiments elsewhere no Bates would be going to college if one wasn't close by and I alos if they weren't on TV none would go.Then you have to question the value Crown college 'degrees'.
Ben's family was never ATI. They followed the now defunct Vision Forum.

Who really thinks these people do not watch TV in the privacy of their homes?? That $800,000. Duggar airplane just did not show up in their world...they got the money from appearing on TLC. Even Anna contributed by allowing TLC camera men into her bathroom while she pushed out the baby boy over the toilet. These people will stop at nothing to get money from others. How about Dillard begging money donations to support his family....does that qualify working for others or are donations the exception ??
Dericks begging button is up and running again and the comments are just as brutal. Meanwhile Jill is posting photographs of him cooking them steaks. Now I have no problem with steaks as a treat for dinner once in a while but this just seems like a taunt to me. Should someone who needs to ask the public for handouts not be finding ways to save money, or is it just me that thinks that way? Hopefully not a dime is collected and pure charity take the site down again only this time keep it down.
What I find strange is Austin is older than Ben. But it explains a lot in their character. Austin seems way more mature and motivated. Also, he seems like a hard worker. Jessa said recently Ben went back to work though. Wonder why he and Derick don't get their real estate license. Jim Bob did real well throughout the years buying and selling properties. He could show them the ropes.
The Bates family is not on TLC. They are on UP.
I would love an interview with Derelict, as to why he thinks people should donate money to him. That would be worth watching to me.
The narcissistic personality disorder in this family is epic. Jim Bob wants to populate the world with Duggars. And he felt like others should support his family, he was constantly begging for stuff. What a lovely thought.....Derick cooking steaks within view of his swimming pool that goes with the $450,000. house he lives in free of charge. Yeah, let's all work our butts off to send Derick & Jill money so they can buy more steaks. Also...about Ben & Derick getting their real estate licenses....how could they ever show property without a spy kid tagging along or even their wife & kids, making sure that devil who led Josh astray does not put his evil onto another husband.

Derick's donation page has been taken down AGAIN! He only had $125 in donations. The funny thing is, Jim Bob donated $500 to a family friend's son for supplies for Texans.
The guy is accounting for every donation he receives. He and friends are volunteering their time and taking a boat down there. I am proud of JB for donating to this cause!!
But why oh why didn't JB donate $500 to Derick??? Something is odd here. Maybe the public isn't the only ones to feel like Derrick can pay for this himself.
First let me say, I am by no means soliciting funds. My husband & I like many are living paycheck to paycheck. When my husband's company went out of business he lost his pension. We now live on Social Security & a small part time job my husband has. I have been ill for sometime & unable to work. I feel badly that I cannot help my husband out by working. I think it's a disgrace that anyone in the Duggar/Dillard family is soliciting funds for their own benefit. Sadly the people that will eventually contribute will be people who cannot afford it but will do it anyway, even if it means taking away from their own family. God forgive them.

Jimbob is donating plenty to Dillard already by letting him live in the pool mansion. That must be at least $1,200. per month in inexpensive Arkansas rents.....and who is paying for utilities, taxes, home owners insurance and pool chemicals..and who is providing a car and car insurance. Could be that Jimbob is loosing $2,500. per month to this good for nothing scam artist who thinks he's a celebrity and too good to work. There is a passage in the bible that says men should care for their families....did Dillard not read it?
Oh....what is with the married "Dates". YOu are not on an "at home date". YOu are simply living with your husband, going places with your husband. These Duggars say "dates" because they were never allowed to go on real dates like normal unmarried people so they are trying to make up for their loss. I cannot imagine saying to my husband, "let's go on a date to the pizza place....or let's go on a date in the kitchen eating a steak". And, someone begging for money should be eating noodles, not steak.

It sounds like Jinger and Jeremy have been trying to help without being an in the way nuisance (though that might changed).
I do find it annoying that in an article about their involvement with relief efforts the article has to drag into and rehash the fact that Jinger wears pants now. We get it. She wears bottoms with two feet holes and not one, that was unnecessary to this article.
So I am wondering if Jill and Derick moved out of the Mcmansion. The photo they posted recently of their kitchen was definitely not the same beautiful kitchen in said mansion. In their latest blog post, it says they had moved, in the last month. Does that mean from CA or from JB's beautiful $450,000 paradise? If so, I wonder if Jessa will get it now. She had been saying she wanted a bigger house. Maybe she can afford the upkeep (taxes-if Jim Bob makes them pay that instead of rent, utilities, etc.) since she and Ben are on the promo cover and Jill and Derrick are not. Wonder if they will no longer film J and D. I know there is already footage for this season. But what about next season?

I actually think that may happen, as they probably want to skip over the Duggar men, John David, Josiah, Jedidiah, all the others, males between 16-21, no jobs, no education, no girlfriends, socially awkward, the dysfunction would be so evident...
I'm not in favor of the Duggars, the Bateses, or any other well-intentioned but inexperienced people going to Texas or anywhere else there's a need for disaster recovery. They end up needing more assistance than they provide. I spent many years in the Civil Air Patrol, and worked in both Hurricane Iwa and Hurricane Iniki as a mission specialist and communications officer. Sadly, many of the "good samaritans" needed rescuing because they didn't know how to deal with the situation and weren't linked in to a working communications network. Unless one is highly qualified with the right kinds of certifications or licenses AND already working with one of the recovery organizations, the the best way to help would be a contribution to the Red Cross or one of the local organizations that are providing services to refugee families.
Since Josh was betrothed at 14, Jim Bob must be failing as a matchmaker. James. Jason, Justin, Jed, Jer, and John-David are all over 14. That is a bunch of episodes for courting, engagement, weddings, showers, and babies. next year Jackson will be 14.
They have so much to share with the world.As long as they have viewers they will be raking in the money.
this is one of the annoying things about them to me...they post that photo of Derick cooking the steaks in a strange kitchen and they don't address the location. Why do they do those types of things? I think it's to simply create MORE conversation about them asking about that kitchen, etc. It's all about publicity. Jim Bob knows his bread is buttered with it.
Concerning Derick and Jill moving out of the mini mansion, I get the idea that Derick wants to keep at arm's length from controlling father-in-law, Jim Bob. They don't live in one of his houses, don't go to his church. It is probably the best thing for Jill right now, to stay busy with her boys and not live at the compound. Can't even imagine what that would be like.

That statement alone spoke volumes to me. It's clear from that statement that neither of them have any contact with ppl of the Islamic faith that they mention them as if they're a different nationality. Islam is a religion, not a race. Switch out "Muslim" for "Christian" in that statement and notice how absurd it sounds. Muslims eat "American" food, whatever that even means. They clearly don't socialize with many Muslims to know that they are assimilated into American society. My guess is that they came across some foreign students from the university as their first ever encounter with Muslims. I wonder if they were even sensitive to serve them food within their dietary restrictions? I imagine the awkward things they must have said to this family in shamelessly trying to convert them. I'm sure they don't understand that Muslims believe in Jesus Christ and honor him as a prophet but not as the son of god. I'm pretty sure they buy into that whole moon god nonsense. Let's be honest here, they can't stand Catholics as it is, Muslims are all brown heathens in their minds!
When Jill and Derick first cut out to Central America was right after the Josh thing. Derick was very protective of Jill or so it seemed when ol' Jim Bob waddled over to talk to her. Maybe he is trying to keep Slim Bob at a distance, if he moved out of a mansion.......or maybe If he doesn't toe the
line Jim Bob doesn't gift him with much..
If he really wants to keep JB at arms length then he needs to get a job to support his own family and move state like Jinger and Jeremy. Jeremy sees the crazy in Arkansas and wants to stay the hell away with just occassional visits for weddings, so far so good.

Re: Carie's comments about the number of remaining boys for Jim Bob to marry off. I know my feeling on this but have to wonder just how many viewers would be tuning in for more courting, engagements, weddings, showers? I personally think the viewers have already had it up to here, even with the girls, let alone try to up the viewership with the boys getting on with life. Of course, getting on with life, only means the previous mentioned, courting, engagement, etc. It doesn't mean seeing them getting a real job, acting like a husband instead of a teenager, as well as turning complete control of the children over to the fortunate wife. I wonder just how different the courting would be? How abut the engagement, the son making all the plans for proposing (cough,cough,)then the wedding. Who would be the bridesmaids, perhaps the girls sisters if she has any, or would it be the Duggar girls with Josie as flower girl? What would they wear for bridesmaids dresses & shoes? Then we learn that they are expecting. Wow what a surprise. We now wait for the gender reveal & of course the widely anticipated home birth. Of course, there's the babies name. Most importantly what number grandchild the baby will be for Jim Bob.

Just read the posting on Dillard website......which included "Details will be coming soon on how you can be involved in supporting this ministry." Could that possibly be through donations? What a scam artist he is!! Here we have a man in his late 30's with a college education, married with 2 babies and he is going to some 20 hour course over the next year and expects others to foot his bills as he dines on steaks. Oh wow...they had Muslims, who they met in a park, over for dinner. What is that supposed to mean?? They were trying to convert them? Is this why we should open our wallets for the Dillards?? I say, Derick...be a man..get a job to support your family, take classes on the side and stop acting like you are a college student. You already have your college degree.

Darlene, Derick is in his late 20's, not late 30's. Just an FYI. This doesn't excuse him from having a career/job. Just the opposite. Since he is only in his 20's, he is young enough to work AND go to school.
Doesn't Jeremy work...they were just in California, seems like they are constantly traveling. Who is looking after the needs of his congregation in Larado? Thought he said they were hosting hurricane victims in their new 4 bedroom house. How can they do that and visit Tonitown?
I read on Pickles blog that the Duggars now have 6 Planes. They bought them from the Alert Academy. Apparently they had some sort of sale. Guess every family needs 6 planes these days. But then again they did, "buy used & save the difference." Also an article by Derick stating, that they had moved to be closer to where he is studying. I'll bet Jessa doesn't get the Mansion. It will probably be their guest house.

Whats?? 6 airplanes......Is he starting Duggar Airlines?? This guy has so much money to do such a purchase but his son in law & daughter are begging money. I would be terrified to fly with one of those boy pilots. I hate to say it but Jimbob is flirting with air tragedy. Maybe he could take one of those planes to Houston and do some rescuing. How about rescuing homeless animals....Duggarland has many acres to accommodate them, money to buy feed and many listless kids to care for them.......just an idea.

I feel there is little interest in the Kendra wedding. This is how the show is going downhill. They need some new interests to spark it up. Re: Jana......she cannot leave. Who would care for the kids? After they are grown, she will still be on call for the ever growing number of grandchildren and in about 20 years, she will look into the mirror, see a 50 year old woman who has spent her life in servitude to others.
Jana hasn't brought any energy to the show in quite some time now. She seems to be over it and doesn't like or want to be 'featured' on TV.
I also find it quite arrogant of Jim Bob and Michelle to be giving a grandparent workshop/speech. How is it that they are such experts on being a grandparent? They merely HAVE grandchildren. That doesn't make one an expert of qualified to speak on the subject as if to instruct others on how to be better at it...That, I find, is quite IMMODEST and boastful of them. They are anything BUT modest..and this fleet of aircraft? Quite showy. No need to ONE let alone 6 planes.
I hope Anna parents are there to help her out,since they need to evacuate anyway.I doubt Josh does much to help with her or the kids.Jmo

If the Duggars and TLC are smart and want the show to continue, they need to change things up a bit. Let Jana or JB move out. Have one of the kidults go to real college or get a job outside of working for JB. If Anna finally left Josh, I'm sure that would bring in ratings also.
Maybe they could have Dr. Phil visit. Just ANYTHING different from weddings and babies.
Michelle, 9/9 1:56PM; those healthy adult things like attending real college, jobs outside of working for their father, etc., are all healthy 'character building' maturing experiences in life...all things that ARE AGAINST the Duggar family's belief system, especially for the daughters. It's so sad. They would never allow those things to go on, even for the $$$ from their TV show. They believe that holding on to those inane beliefs are what makes them what they are; in their own eyes, so special to the Lord; in the eyes of real people, cultish.

everyone is saying jim bod has six airplanes? we really do not know how many he has or if he really owns any of them? they can just rent those airplanes? All we really know is that he makes money from different real estate he owns? how much we really do not know? I want to say it cannot be that much because they live in a small town and real estate market would not be that good? if they sold a lot of house they would be for a small amount? and my guess is houses sit on the market for a while in a small town? I am wondering also if Jim bod does get any money from the show? how do they get paid for being on the show. I am also want to say the duggars have some P.R. people working for them? Some how I think they also control the blog they put out they say it is not them but some family friends I think the duggars and bates pay them to keep it up? That is a big job? With all the houses and property the Duggars have they could use their fleet of planes to bring them in to stay there...if they have the heart to help others.
If they run out of room they could pitch tents on that big front lawn. They also have the tree house and guest house. The kids could entertain everyone by playing violins while barefoot.
Grandma Mary Duggar could get on the phone and sniffle and snort crying to Campbell's soup and Ore-Ida that their precious family needs help to make enough Tator Tot casserole for their family ....oops...I mean their guests.

The Kellars live in Interlaken, FL which is near Gainesville. A small unincorporated area and YES, they do live in a small mobile home. They need to be somewhere else. I'm in Orlando in a concrete block home and I'm concerned that we'll be all right. One would think that the Duggars would help Anna's parents out, but we'll see.

Do marriages ever truly recover from infidelity? Certainly for those of us living a more secular or atheistic life, infidelity would certainly spell the end of a marriage. I imagine the only thing keep Anna in place is the weird belief she holds and pressure she feels from her parents and Mullet and Dim Boob. I just cannot for the life of me understand what she was thinking having a fifth child with him. Perhaps the Duggar mistakenly believed Anna and Josh having a fifth would allow him to come back without much resistance or indifference.

Honestly could they be any blander?! They seem like lovely people, but they seriously lack the charisma needed to be on TV. Congratulations to them both and helpfully they are wise enough to keep their own children away from the TV cameras.
Re:Heart in Florida's comments about the Duggars giving workshops or speeches on being grandparents. First of all, nobody needs any advise on being grandparents. You fall in love with that baby the minute you see it. You have also raised children yourself. It's no different that the Duggar girls giving advice on marriage within a month after they were married, or their advise on caring for a baby a few weeks after giving birth. They are all experts n their own minds.

Josh reappeared with clingy Anna. Those two are as thick as thieves. I say that nothing has really changed. Their relationship seems hollow and I think they are faking any semblance of happiness.
The timing of everything proves how much time they all have on their hands. One week before the wedding we had Joy's baby news and then the wedding just in time for the premiere of the new season. How can these people even be remotely excited about weddings or babies at this point?! -- And the Anna/Josh video was just their faces. Has she had the baby yet? It seems like she has been pregnant forever.
My guess is that the wedding was timed to be several weeks before Anna is due. I bet she will have her baby by the end of the month.
The photo I saw of Anna looking up at Josh was stomach churning. It was like one of those Snapped episodes...at the very beginning.
It's a wonder Anna has not snapped yet. Does she ever stop to think what hell has happened to her or is she kept so busy, she has no private time to reflect on her life.

I would like to thank you here on this blog for your well wishes for us during Hurricane Irma. I thank God that my house was perfectly intact. The power came on at 10:20 last evening.....it was getting HOT in the house, so I'm quite thankful for that. I'm home from work today as I was at a friend's house who has hurricane shutters. A lot of yard clean up; laundry and getting the house back in order, not to mention myself; who could use a good shower today... one of those two tornadoes reported on the Weather Channel was across the lake from my house in our friend's back yard. He lost a large beautiful tree that was split in two; fortunately it fell on the grass; not his neighbor's house. I wish all of those who were in the path of Irma a speedy recovery of property and services. All things pass and this will too.
My friends, obviously, I wasn't able to watch the premiere of our favorite TV show last night, so if anyone knows where online I can watch it; please let me know.

As far as watching the show, TLC's website and the TLC Go app are your best bets. And on the app, there's a setting to keep the Neilsen Company from getting any data from you, so bonus there.

Has anyone been over to Dericks twitter account recently, when he isn't posting bible verses he he is posting stupid articles. Two in particular had people bashing him left right and centre. The first was an article on the evils of masturbation aimed 'especially for young men who desire to live out their God-given calling'. There were quite a few saying if his bil had indulged in the devils handshake from time to time he might not have attacked his sisters. The second article he posted was a parents guide to the transgender movement in education. I couldn't even bring myself to read this one because it was by the FRC, the hate group that at one time employed Joshy boy before giving him the heave ho after his dirty deeds became public, and he was too toxic even for them. I personally think Derick gets a kick out of getting people all fired up and all the responses he gets. He hasn't the balls to take people on and debate these issues, in his little black and white world he is right and they are sinners. I think he is developing some kind of religious mania, and is loosing grip on reality, but peoples responses are so funny, some are pure gold and they are not letting him away with it. Josh and Anna named child #5 Mason Garrett, per the article that Mickey2942 linked to. Sounds like Anna and the baby are doing well after the birth.
Mason Garrett is a nice name. I have to say that I was expected something much more religious, especially since he's a "redeeming their marriage" baby. The other children (except Mackynzie) have names with origins in Christian tradition. However, I think Josh and Anna mostly picked the kids' names based on names that they liked, not some deeper symbolism. Mackynzie's middle name was chosen to honor Michelle and Michael's middle name to honor JimBob, but other than that, they've never said anything that I can recall about the meaning behind the children's name. It's interesting that Mason shares a middle name with his uncle Joseph, but I doubt there's anything behind that. I think they just liked the names. Jill/Derick and Jessa/Ben, by comparison, picked explicitly religious names for their children and have been quite open about that.

Kynzie's middle name is Renee, after her mom, Anna Renee. Garrett is definitely Michelle's dad and brother, as well as Joseph's middle name. I guess Joe and Kendra can still use the name. So many Duggar babies anyway. Maybe Ben and Jessa just felt they would have more room in a first class section of a commercial plane, with two kids, than on JD's plane. I can see that for sure.

I just watched the heartbreaking video of Hannie wishing Michelle a happy birthday. What did they do to that little girl who was so full of life in those fun talking head videos with Jackson. I see it like this: If the Duggar clan were really, truly a modest and humble family before God AND the this world, they would have opted to BOW OUT of any and all media attention and discontinue their TV show. I have seen unflattering 'articles' about them at the grocery store check out, headlines on the internet pages, etc. A truly humble family would NOT seek NOR ACCEPT this kind of attention. They are fame whores and crave the attention and money it brings them. When one speaks about how humble and modest they are, that's when they cease to be that.
Kendra and her family looked beautiful in the wedding photos but is it just me or did Joe look like he was wearing an ill fitting suit and those brown shoes.....what's up with brown shoes at a formal wedding? Also, can't those Duggar girls buy some decent shoes? If Jimbob can buy 6 airplanes, he can afford to make sure those girls have nice shoes for weddings.
A modest person does not brag on themselves or others in their family. Their actions and way of life should speak for their modesty.
I follow Ben's mother on Facebook. I like her. She posts a lot about her children. They are very involved in co-ops, organized sports, ect. I bet Ben misses his family. He would be so much better off moving his wife and children closer to his own family.
Gina, I actually loved the color of the shoes, as they weren't a dull brown, but a bright camel color; very trendy. I also loved the style of Josiah's shoes. It was the length of Joe's suit that has caught attention. It wasn't fitted/tailored. Usually,( unless he bought the suit), that is one of the services offered when you rent one.
I wonder if will Ben allow his boys to participate in organized sports like he did. I don't mean running around in the Duggar yard with the cousins but actually be on a team with other children. How long will Jimbob's rules of no contact with the outside world without a spy remain?

Something must be wrong with her because why would she want to take up with the likes of these people since Kendra father is a Pastor at cross church and their valvue system is totally different it does not make any sense?

IMO Jana,Alyssa, and Michael seem to be the mature responsible sisters. I thought they said Alyssa did the family taxes.It's easy to get all giddy when she worked at the floral shop but they needed the financial support from her like Lawson.
Carlin and Jill acted/act like teens or middle school girls with a crush. Well, Carlin I may understand given her age and the fact of little normal social interaction.
She made this thing to commemorate her and Evan's one year anniversary. While typical behavior , what if it never comes to an authentic courtship/marriage and you get stuck with a thing to remind you of the broken heart pieces? It still seems like something two 15/16 yr olds would do.

I don't know what drives me crazier- the repeat names in the Duggar family or the Bates liking y/ie names that aren't' full names. They both have a Josie which should be short for 'Josephine'. I have a hard time envisioning a 50 yr old Josie or Lexi, but I guess more pet names for full names are getting accepted as formal names. I will give the Batese credit for being more creative names but that's all, although they slipped with Michel/Michael.
While I agree with It's Me's comment about the Seewald family's instagram feed; organized sports and home school co-ops. The instagram feed projects an imagine of a well adjusted, happy, affluent family. I'm afraid like the Duggar's there must be something seriously wrong. I mean, they actively encouraged their 18 year old son to leave the family and live on the Duggar compound to work as Jim Bob's helper. If my son wanted to live in someones shed I'd be pretty annoyed. I certainly won't be grinning at his wedding a year later. Never mind, Ben made his parents, Grandparents in their late 30s. I'm approximately the same age as Guinn and I'm a mom to three young children, not a grandmother!
Kendra's father is NOT a pastor at Crsso Church. That's regular SBC. Mr. Caldwell pastors his own little IFB church and happens to be the church the Duggars attend.
It looks as if Joe and Kendra got Jill and Derick's Mcmansion. On the Duggar Facebook page it shows them in a beautiful kitchen, that is identical to the Mcmansion's, baking cookies. If so, that young girl is one lucky girl to get to call that place home. The patio and swimming pool alone, is breathtaking!!
The Seewald family was after fame and fortune if they allowed their 18 year old boy to give up higher education to move onto the Duggarland do chores for Jimbob and live in his shed. Now, where is Ben?? Doing nothing but changing diapers and a gopher for Jimbob. The Seewalds are not good parents to give up their boy to become a jobless husband and father of 2 kids. The 3rd is probably on it's way.
Joe's idea of sex is probably sleeping in the same bed with his wife fully clothed. I bet he doesn't have a clue!
I wonder if the Dugan children realize that the TLC gravy train isn't going to last forever. If I were one of them I would be concerned about the future of my children. There is a good chance that many of them could end up living in poverty especially since they all plan on having big families. I would be encouraging my husband to get a decent job or educate myself. That tlc money isn't going to support 100s of Duggar spawn. I think Jana might be one of the lucky ones not tied down with a zillion kids to support and living in poverty.
How could young Joe & Kendra be given the Duggar mansion to live in when Jessa & Ben are crammed in Grandma's little old house with 2 children? Jessa's gotta be jealous & furious. I still just cannot see how these young adults can have respect for themselves. So many over 18 who contribute next to nothing to society. None NONE of the women work beyond basic child rearing.
Of the men: Josh, John, Joesph, Josiah, Derick, Ben, Jeremy, and Austin, only 2 of 8 have jobs which equals a miserable 25%. It is unknown how much money Josh brings in selling used cars or Jeremy from preaching, but I'm guessing it's not enough to feed and house everyone. As far as the others, I consider what they do (occasionally flying planes, flipping houses, playing constable) to be hobbies and helping out around the property for Jim Bob.
How do they make ends meet, it has to be reality TV money. So basically they are the same as the teenagers receiving commercial $ for entertainment value. I want to shame them into changing, but as long as the money is easy, I think that they will keep on breeding.
Duggars are like a pyramid scheme. If you are Jb, Mooch and one of the first few kids you will be fine. Downline kids will find the money and interest has run out.
I still believe with all my heart that JIM BOB DUGGAR receives one check for each episode in which any of his children/children in law appear. IT IS HE, who then distributes the adult children's 'share' of the check MINUS his 'manager cut'.He then still continues the practice of giving his non married kids still at home their 'allowances'. Can't relinquish control, can he?

I know now days with electronic deposit maybe JB could have all the kidults have their money deposited in his acct. The acct. the money is deposited in is of no concern to an employer, so I suppose it is possible.
I agree, that way they can appear "indigent", and qualify for Medicaid services. The C-sections cost plenty, and he can manipulate their income to qualify. I have no doubt everything goes into a corporate account, and they are paid from the account. After deducting rent, expenses...
I agree with Aunt Bea that the TLC check goes directly to Jim Bob. He may give the married kids an allowance but I'll bet the younger kids don't see a dime.
I think Jessa is living in the small house because of all the kids, she has been the one that has stood up to Jim Bob. You don't do that without receiving payback.
Susie, As I recall with Josh and Anna heading off to their hotel for their honeymoon, Josh was playing an audio tape, given to him by JB. It explained what to do on their wedding night. Joe was probably handed the same one.
Oh No!! I cannot believe Jimbob gives the boys a tape about what to do on their wedding night. Beyond creepy to think Jimbob is right there with them in their private time, his voice instructing the deflowering of the bride. This is sick. I am feeling horrified right now.
Maybe Joe was given the mansion because he was the one who most closely adhered to JBs courting rules, apparently even more so than Jill.

It was interesting to hear about all the ethnic food Jinger has cooked. Maybe tatertot casserole and BBQ tuna sandwiches got old fast for Jeremy!
Big kits: YES, I believe Jim Bob IS the whole family's banker. I think he cuts the checks to the married children...Jeremy and Jinger included. My opinion is that there is no way that he wants to be without income from this TV show, so he acts as some type of manager for the others and draws a percentage from what they are paid. He is too good of a 'taker' IMO, to let that opportunity vanish.
Jinger and Jeremy already know more conversational Spanish than Derick and Jill.
I don't think Jim Bob gets the checks from Counting On. The "kids" who appear on this show are now all adults. I believe that TLC would have to pay them directly. Everyone believes that Jim Bob made his money off TLC but I believe he has many investment properties as well as small businesses (which he could of course purchased with some of the profits from the original show). However, I just don't think he's getting a direct regular paycheck from "Counting On" other than just an occasional appearance check. Just my opinion.
