John David is a pilot and his wife is a nurse, plus he worked to get his home. These two seem to have MUCH more going on in their lives than all the rest of the bunch. A show about these two who are different than the others would make for better tv. We don't need to see Jessa anymore with the lame storylines (going to a creamery and other pathetic nonsense). People would enjoy seeing a Duggar actually working!
It has been very quiet in Duggarland. Either there's another scandal brewing or all the married girls got preggers at the same time or these folks have finally figured out that their novelty has worn off or the wheels are coming off their cloistered, sheltered existence . Hmmm, time will tell.....
Elle: I have to agree about the John David and Abbie tv show. They’re almost in the Bates category for work ethic and they would be so much more interesting than Counting On.
Elle, it has been said that John David "serves his family" by flying them around. Doesn't sound like a real job to me.
How nice it would be to let ALL Duggars live their lives outside the spotlight of TV! Easy money really needs to take a back seat to what is really important. It's time.
Did Abbie transfer her nursing license to Arkansas, or is she going to let it lapse since she’s married and expected to be a brood mare?
It seems Jb had John David train as a pilot so he didn't have to hire one.Is Abbie still going to be allowed to work,at least until they start a family? Which prob. won't be long off
Ellie: Abbie left her job to move to Arkansas when she married JD and I would be very surprised if she keeps working now shes a married woman. It is frowned apon for women in their religious circle to work, especially if they are married, who could foeget Jessa sitting around at home bored waiting to get pregnant? While they seem like nice people they are just like the rest, dull as dishwater. The only thing Abbie can do is help Jana look after Jimbob and Michelle in their dotage, she apparently loves 'little old people', lets hope the show is long gone by then!
Jessa-blessa’s been way too quiet and removed from internet postings. She either has morning sickness/preggers or they are going through the adoption process and trying to appear all grown up and responsible.

So Jessa posted a series of photos from a trip to the dentist with Spurgeon. Seriously, is that all she’s got anymore? Talk about scraping the bucket. No one cares but possibly Jimboob and Mechelle. I suppose she’ll be posting shopping at the thrift store for used shoes next. We really don’t care.

Regarding the Duggars in Central America trip. In the picture of just Michelle and JB, I hardly recognized her. Her hair was straight and looked like it was in a side ponytail........and she looked OLD. One thing that I find interesting too.......it seems like in just about every picture I see of the two of them together, he has his hand on her arm....like he is holding her. When I see that, and knowing what I know about their religion, it gives me the creeps. Comes across like his way of saying "I own this woman". Maybe that's just me.....
Ginny streeter, I saw that photo of Michelle and JB but I thought she looked young. The big hair is aging her. Anyway, I don't agree with their spin on the christian faith and I don't like Michelle's ugly green blouse but she did look young to me.

Ginny Streeter, yes it crazy how two people can see things so differently! And I agree with you about JB holding Michelle in every picture. Where is she going? It is awkward and the message he's sending is??? I am insecure? I am possessive? I don't trust her? I don't trust anyone around me? It's not a message of love and respect, at least that's not the vibe I'm getting.
Jill seems to have a new 'job' as an influencer/promoter on instagram. A little while ago she promoted a fabfitfun box but took down the post and promotion within a day, as apparently many people complained to the company (who support the LBGTQ community) pointing out her husband and families views on the subject and it would appear her promotion was withdrawn. This week she has been promoting a shirt company and offering a discount code, she has promoted this company three days in a row. Some of the shirts had bible verses, or had religious overtones so this company seems to have no problem with using a Duggar. I really can't blame her for trying to bring some money into her family, she has two little kiddies and a husband who does not work, so I am sure money is tight. Jills fame has given her these opportunities, and I am sure Derick has no objections to the money his wifes fame brings in. I wonder what Jill really thinks of no longer being on the show, and the situation 'best hubby ever' has put them in, in public she supports him, and I have no doubt she agrees with his views but she must miss being included in filming the fame and financial security the show brought them. How do they afford for Derick not to work even part time, I think Cross church is paying for his tuition and when he is qualified he will go to work for them in some legal capacity, until then Jill will probably continue to promote whatever comes her way. I actually feel a little sorry for her, I don't think her life has worked out the way she thought it would.
Re:Emma's comments on Jill. Unfortunately, that's what happens to your life when you decide your in love with someone you've never even met, who lives in another country. Of course, her parents were 100% behind her decision, as a wedding was the perfect antidote for the coming scandal with Josh. Cross Church is taking quite a chance if they are supporting Derick, with the anticipation of him doing legal work for them when he is qualified at a reduced fee later on. Law school, if you even complete it & the following Bar Exam are extremely difficult. I realize that many married people with children work fulltime, as well as attend law school, but they have a spouse that leaves them alone to work, study & attend classes. When Derick worked at Walmart, Jill was there every day he was, with his lunch or on some other foolish errand. She was already pregnant& should have stayed at home instead of having to deliver his lunch daily. One of his first days at law school, there she was front & center sitting with Derick in the classroom. We didn't see any other students with family members with them. Sadly a great deal of her miserable life is because of the way she was raised by Michelle & Jim Bob, never any friends either girls or boys while growing up, just her jurisdictions & childcare obligations. Nobody outside the family to talk to about life, really knowing nothing at all about real everyday life as a wife & mom. But on the other hand she made her own bed & now she has to lie in it.
Jill will just have another baby. That will solve everything. That is all she knows how to do, and has seen how it worked for her parents. And don't forget grifting activities, asking for discounts, in exchange for being on her Instagram or Twitter feed.
The jury is still out, "Mickey2942" if Jill can have another baby. They were quite silent about what occurred during Sam's delivery. Only time will tell that one since the Dillards are not saying a word about this.
I have been critical of Jill in the past but now I feel guilty. Being raised by two clueless people kept her years behind the average person. I think for someone who didn't get a decent education, never had a chance to learn how to
dress (when you wearing matching tacky frumpers, like your pregnant mom and your bazillion sisters and shared the old clothes found in the big Hefty bags that church members gave the poor family). Forget about experimenting wiith cute hairstyles, because long straggly hair is what Daddy likes. How about ever never getting to socialize outside the strict perimeters Jim Bob set up, and Daddy is going to pick your mate? Those kids did not have enough to eat (Jill told Derek they took their food and hid in the bathroom to eat it and Kendra said Joe still licks his plate. I
doubt Jill got to learn to make too many
recipes, so what the rest of us have done for
years is all new to her. She has only been out from under Jim Bob's iron ruling for what... 4 years? I think she is doing good for someone who had to wear flip flops. I saw her in the ugly Christmas sweater. She had on skinny jeans and she looked cute. Granted, I didn't care for the boots. And there are some dresses I have seen her in and she looks very nice.
I rolled my eyes at her feeding Izzy tomato sauce out of a can....or whatever it was. I have an idea she learned that from what was given her. Jim Bob was a stock boy.

have gotten a big discount on dented cans...or maybe they gave them to him. When you have starving kids a nasty old can of high sodium tomato sauce or whatever would taste wonderful to a child. So, maybe Jill thought because she remembered how wonderful it tasted when she was hungry and that is what her parents fed her...then it would be a treat for her kids.
Did anyone see the pictures from their ugly sweater party? I didn’t see Jana in any of the photos. Was it just for couples? You would think she would be there holding someone’s baby.
It is just strange to me that the Dillards never said much about Sam's birth, which was a major difference at the time. They had always let the fans in on the birth events. We still do not know anything, as Heart in Florida stated. The other thing I find very strange is that Joe and Kendra have not released any pics of their son since his birth in the hospital (that I have seen or heard about). I find this so weird. I feel they should at least just tell us if it is just that they don't want him in the spotlight. We could understand that to a degree. It seems odd since they haven't said anything at all. Maybe the younger Duggars just do not feel the connection or obligation to the fans that the older ones have in the past The other siblings have been so generous to share pics of their children and I appreciate that.
Willow: The Dillards said on their blog a while back that Jill didn't have a hysterectomy and they would love to have a third child. Jill was very reckless with both her deliveries and something serious did happen after Sams birth, maybe she will have difficulties getting pregnant again or carrying a pregnancy, maybe everything will be fine (I hope so for her sake) but I hope she seeks real medical care next time, and doesn't rely on her own midwifery 'training'. With regards to Joe and Kendra and their baby Garrett it does not surprise me that they keep him out of the spotlight, neither one of them has any social media, and I dont think Kendra could cope with some of the nasty comments that others have had directed at their babies or their parenting. I actually admire them for that, they are giving their baby privacy and not plastering him all over instagram or facebook.

The comment about Joe licking his plate made me sad, but after watching the show etc., I don't think any of those kids were taught basic table manners. When you spend your entire life eating off paper plates, blows etc. and using plastic utensils, it's hard. I suspect they don't even know how to properly set a table. Years ago when I first started watching the show, I was sucked in by the "show" they put on for the public. The kids all seemed to be so well behaved and have such nice manners. Little did I know that was just a show. I remember Michelle talking on the Today show once on how they taught the little ones how to sit still....starting with just a few seconds and then building up. I had no idea that their way of teaching kids to "behave" was with the blanket training etc. Back to the table manners. If you are never taught that licking your plate is bad manners, you are going to continue to do such things as an adult. As parents, we have a responsibility to teach our children about life......not just about how bad it is if you don't wear your hair long, dress in skirts, not kiss before marriage etc. There is so much more to life than just that and unfortunately the Duggar parents were so busy focusing on either each other or the "dating" aspect of life that they totally forgot to parent their children and really teach them. Does that make sense?
So, on another site, “Crazydaysandnights.net”, there’s a blind item (#10) that is talking about Josh Duggar. 12-13-18 Josh was spending time with family and he was caught doing “the same thing” with a young family member. Every comment below the post states it’s Josh. I wonder if this happened while Jimbob and Mechelle were away in Honduras.

Ginny yes,I agree.The D's and those in this cult are so concentrated on the sexual aspect of everything,that they don't teach normal,basic life skills.As long as the girls have long hair,they homeschool,dress modestly,court,marry and crank out endless babies,all is well in their world

Re:sandi's comment I can't believe you used the word "cult"in your post, as just yesterday, I happened to see a TV documentary, with Elizabeth Vargas, where young people, both men & women who had escaped cult life were interviewed. There were 3 cults, one was the FLDs, also Children of God, as well as Unification Church,( Rev Moon's church.) It's so frightening to see these people & what they have lived through. You can't listen to them without thinking to yourself that you have heard some of what their talking about on both the Duggar's show & the Bates show as well. The women told about how they were told how they had to wear their hair & how to dress. Also that they were meant to be "breeders" in life, not wives & mothers but breeders. This was one of the first times I heard young men that had escaped talk about what it meant to them to be out of the cult. One young man was so happy to have the opportunity to attend college. He just loved attending a real school, & having the opportunity to actually learn about the real world, something other than what his family wanted him to learn about the world. It was heartbreaking to hear about their lives & how difficult it was to get out of the cult. Believe me, many glimmers of Duggars & Bates lives came through these brave people. Cult is absolutely the correct word for the lives the Duggar & Bates children have lived.
Not defending, but I saw no reason for the hoopla over Jill and Fit Bit. Actually I have two different thoughts on this. One, it's doing the same thing the DUggars do by not tolerating people who don't believe your way. Second, maybe it gave them a dose of their own medicine at people they try to take rights from. Alyssa Bates has the same beliefs so why not contact companies she promotes as well? Overall, it seems really unfair to request someone be 'fired' or whatever for differing views.

roddmama, I agree with you one hundred percent. I didn't realize that people had actually contacted the company and encouraged them to "fire" Jill because of her beliefs. I feel like our country is becoming to intolerant of ANY differing beliefs. It is sad. What happened to freedom of religion? What happened to freedom of speech? What happened to respecting the differences of others? I feel like in recent years, we have taken a huge step backwards in these respects.
I agree I don't think Jill should be fired. I think she is very ignorant and immature. She gets on my nerves, but that's not a crime. She was sheltered and doesn't know any better.
Ellie on a roll - I sincerely hope that it is not true regarding Josh and a younger member of the family. If it is, Those younger children should be taken away from the Duggars. If they are not going to provide a safe place for their "blessings", they certainly don't deserve them. Josh did not have any counseling regarding his problem and all those young girls, his and his mothers' children are in jeopardy.

It’s being reported on FB that John David is ill and he has been admitted into a hospital. The person said it’s not influenzas. John David having a nurse for a wife has already come in handy. Who knows if he would have gone even to a doctor if he were still single and living at the compound. Prayers that JD gets well soon.
The rumor that some were thinking might be about Josh seems to be about the guy named Caleb Williams. He was the one rumored to be courting Jana a while back.
I took a few minutes to check out Amy’s store 3130. I can’t believe the type of clothing she has on her website. A few dresses I can see a couple Bates girls wearing otherwise the clothing is frumpy. Oddly short dresses, too for being a fundamentalist /Christian themed boutique. It’s just strange.
So, I think the public or viewers must be moving on to other shows as the whole baby-making quivering has come to a screeching halt. There haven’t been any pregnancy announcements in months, no new engagements or pending nuptials. The Duggar’s must have realized that no one really cares now that the novelty has worn off. In fact, it’s appalling how Mechelle and Jimbob encourages all this baby-making and then they don’t seem to be interested in the grandchildren or even recall their names. I have so much more respect for The Bates family for how well they are cared for and how Keely LOVES each and every one of the grand babies. There’s a new photo with Gil and Kelly with their 9 grandkids and you can tell they adore those children.

I just have to say that I would love to give TLC and the Duggars some advice (because I am so smart, ha ha). But really, I think if they would expand their horizons and show more of their lives than just the marriages and babies they would be better off. They are just so secretive with the other aspects of their life. Show us EXACTLY what all of the young men who "work for Jim Bob" actually do all day. Why are they afraid to share a little more? Tell us why Jana can't run a little nursery/garden shop. Why can't Jana have her own interior design business in the building she bought? If its because she doesn't want to, let us know that. The Bates children go to college and they share what they are studying and what they want to do afterwards. I think they are afraid of things they may have misrepresented at one time or another, what do you think? For another instance, Joe and Kendra don't have to join social media full time, they could have just released a little Christmas card type picture of the three of them, just to show appreciation to the fans. It doesn't take much to add a few things to the show and still keep the weddings in there. Just my humble and respectful opinion, as always. Happy New Year Sharla and everyone.
Jessa doesn’t do anything for the Duggar image. LOL posting photos of the TTH with dirty carpet and floors, small child with filthy feet, basic mess everywhere. Ick. Then she keeps calling Spurgeon “Spurgie” in her videos. OMG the woman is clueless. Jessa just needs to fade away.

Just flabbergasted that a parent would allow bare feet in that kind of cold.
I think they just dont realize that they been conditioned because buying proper footwear for so many is definitely a financial challenge and they just grew up poor without proper shoes.
Please Shoe your children. Something tells me Felicty will not grow up with cold, filthy feet climbing all over food preparation areas and long dangling hair in her family's food(thinking Jill's pic of her 'whipping up' sushi, which I actually make sushi for a living and the whole hair thing really freaks me out as a professional.
I'm VERY glad they like sushi but jill would not last 2 minutes of a 65 hour butt busting work week.
Jimbob posted some photos on Instagram of a Duggar Christmas. A couple thoughts after looking at the photos:
1. All the young men have their cell phones out and they don’t seem interested or to be interacting with anyone.
2. The small children really seem to like Anna Duggar. She seems to be a magnet for the kids maybe because she authentically wants to spend time with them. Michelle was no where to be found in any of the photos. Go figure.
3. The Duggar tin shed house needs an industrial strength cleaning. Seriously, it looks dirty, worn out and out dated. You’d think with all the adults hanging around that they’d be assigned major cleaning jobs weekly. Seriously no excuse with all those able bodied adults hanging around.
4. I can see why Jinger goes to the Vuluo’s for the holidays. So much more fun and classy. And Jill & Derek weren’t in any of the photos so I hope they had something fun going on.
5. No photos of anything religious or going to church on Christmas???? Strange being that they’re supposed to have so religious. SMH
I’m curious if Jessa and Ben sold the mold house or are having it remodeled. She hasn’t posted any photos in a long time inside the house. She’s usually at the tin shed hanging out like a teenager. Jessa really has a pathetic life. She’s made a number of bad choices since becoming an adult. (Marrying an uneducated, unemployed teenager, naming her first born Spurgeon, sticking around the TTH with nothing for goals, moving into the mold house to name a few) She just becomes more self centered and controlling.
If the adults won't do it,then Jb could spurge for a professional cleaning.I doubt it,though.He seems like a tightwad,other than for the things HE wants.Jmo
Speaking of the mold house,I can't believe Anna and Josh lived in it with their little ones,with all the mold.I recall my family reminding us we had a new set of tiny lungs in the house after we had our kids,and we needed to check everything and keep it clean.And things like keeping the mold out,vents clean and filters changed.I noticed Jessa and Ben had a dirty vent..the one she took a pic of,meaning most likely the filter had not been changed,either.Really no excuse for that,with both of them home.They have 2 little ones to think of.Jmo
Also,I meant to add,Grandma owned the house when Josh n Anna lived there.It would have been on her to maintain the house to a certain standard so it could be rented out.I.E.-keep it free of mold.And esp. since she had family in it,you would think she would have done that.Jmo
Shoes and socks seem to be the biggest Socio economic indicator of how you grew up. Even my babies always had shoes and socks. It never ceases to amaze me to see tiny infants without socks, and children running around barefoot constantly.
