Yet, another Duggar baby announcement. Joy and Austin are expecting in 2019. She’s had an ultrasound so I’m not sure how far along she is. This must be grand baby #15 so it’d be due before Nov. 2019.
Some of you called it! I just saw the announcement that Joy is pregnant and due in November. So that makes Jessa, Joseph's wife (I can't recall her name, Anna, Cousin Amy and now Joy all pregnant at the same time. I wonder who will be next. 2019 is going to be a banner year for new Duggar's joining the family!
Joy is expecting baby number 2 in 6 months. At this pace, and at her young age, she could reach Michelle's quiverful number.

I dont see the capability or capacity for bonding with family with so many people.
I feel sadness when thinking of the babies and young children in this family.
Of course they would see my opinion, if they knew i was everything opposite to what they believe as bonkers.
Re: Laura's comment. I agree with you, couldn't have said it better regarding the rotating baby belt & especially no capacity or capability of bonding with these children. I also see sadness for these babies & young children. I know there are those who think there are never enough of these babies but I believe in bonding with the child you bring into the world, showing the child how deeply you love them. I absolutely don't believe that here is anyway you can spend the time needed to raise a child when your main goal is the number of children you have. There is nothing like seeing a child who knows how deeply they are loved. I have seen happy children just throw themselves at you, hugging you, after showing you the paper they just colored, because they instinctively know how very deeply you care about them. None of the Duggar children have ever known that type of love. They have had to hide their food if they wanted enough to eat, they don't have a clean bed or a bedtime routine of bath, pajamas, story & into a clean bed at a decent hour, so they won't be half asleep all day. So many working mom's are able to accomplish these things. Michelle has chosen to only care about J.B. but still bring child after child into her life. I don't believe Michelle & J.B. are devoted & loving grandparents either, they are always waiting for the number to increase & it's not for the love of the child but for whatever publicity a pregnancy announcement & a new baby will bring. It's disgusting to use children in this manner. In my opinion it's not God's Will to bring baby after baby into your life for a TV show, or magazine cover.
Oh my God all these young women having babies after babies & immediately after there marriage ceremony. I'm sorry but I think it's sickening. These girls should be dating at their age. It's one thing if one or two of the young women marry quickly & start popping out babies but it's all of them!
Dating? How about getting an education and learning how to support yourself? These women are literally "Barefoot and Pregnant". They don't have the self esteem to realize if they are unhappy, they can leave, and support themselves without a man. They certainly don't feel that with six or more children to take care of...

When I wrote that the young women should be dating instead of marrying & popping out babies, that will just show you how brainwashed someone can become when thinking of the Duggar daughters & daughter-in-laws. Education & a job don't enter my mind when it comes to any of them because it's so far removed from their way of life. I'd bet everything that Abbie will never return to nursing. It's becoming worse, as now it seems that the young men in the family don't seem to need any real education or need to have "real jobs" either, they only need to be available to impregnate the women. I can't imagine what the 3rd. generation of Duggars will be like but they won't be attending a decent school or college & going off to work daily. What a waste of so many lives. We all know that little children are like sponges when it comes learning. Sadly these kids will never be educated. It's a shame there are no laws in place regarding educating your children.

I think Jim B dotes on the grandkids more than Michelle. Maybe it's hard to get in grandparent mode when you still got kids who haven't reached adolescence.
Bu then why should they dote on grandkids when they don't dote on half of their own kids? It irks me the attention Kelly Bates gives the grandkids buying them gifts but never done that much for their own kids. She got upset when Zoe didn't reach for her. I'd be peeved if I was the younger Bates kids for that reason. Then a post showed Kelly and the younger girls on an adventure.
As for bed and bath routines, to be fair without defending Michelle and Jim Bob and the Bateses, too, likely did a lot of that stuff with the older kids before they got famous and so many kids. It's hinted at in books their bedroom door was open and kids come sleep with them if they needed to. Then it got to a point of sign up sheets. Scheduled time with mom and dad seems to be a thing with these larger Quiverfull families though.
The Kellers have said they try to spend 15 minutes with each child alone each week. It's bad enough to not get time and when you do, it's to make sure you still follow the beliefs. They don't directly say it but it sounds that way. Having to schedule one on one means you got too many kids.

Roddma,I was thinking of the family friend who told on the Duggars.I recall she said Michelle hadn't bathed any of the kids in years.It was all up to the older ones now.
So sad they don't get that one on one time with her.It would be great time for a bedtime story as well
When you stop & think about it with all these pregnancies, that fact that Michelle had 2 sets of twins, means that twins run in the family, so there certainly is a good chance that some of the Duggar daughters & daughters-in-laws will have also twins. How will they provide for them with all the other babies they are bringing into their families? They really can't afford this although it will bring J.B.'s count up to 200 in a speedy manner.
If anyone needs a date, it is that poor woman, Jana. She should be out of that house, going on trips with friends, having fun. I feel that these children had their lives stolen, they couldn't do anything that JB hadn't already decided for them.
"Quality time with Mom" means doing laundry together. Not negating that, but it isn't the same as focusing on your child and doing something fun, like bike riding to get an ice cream cone.
I wonder how long it is until Jana has a mental meltdown? All the lost children she’s responsible for, the Duggar’s household, planning EVERYTHING, cooking, gardening, taking care of dogs, pets, packing for trips, the mailroom. Plus , the half dozen plus grand babies arriving in the next 1-5 month’s. God, Jana will never be free.
Anyone else completely bored with all the pregnancy announcements? Most likely this is all the Duggar’s will have until Jana gets married (hell freezes over) or JB finds some gullible fundie girls to marry Jed and Jer in a double wedding.

Ellie On a Roll: I sometimes wonder if shes already had one, I think that is why Laura is there all the time, as emotional support. In their cult you can't let the happy/content with your lot in life facade slip, but I think Jana may have had a breakdown of some kind around the time Jinger got married thats when Laura started showing up a lot. Maybe the sole responibilty for everything got too much for her and her older sisters were all gone so she had no one to turn too. Just my thoughts, but I do feel sorry for the young woman, shes trapped.
I wonder how many grandchildren into it the Duggar adult children will be before they realize they’ve been used and had by Jimbob and Michelle? They truly don’t care about any of the grandkids besides the money the Duggar family will make announcing the pregnancy, showing births on CO, magazine articles, gifts at showers, and adding to their number. Seriously, Michelle is basically there to observe the birth and then moves on to the next blessing, expecting all these young moms to reproduce like rabbits. No help from Michelle with meals, laundry (LOL), dr. visits, etc. Even though all of the adult Duggar children helped Michelle with her babies and children. What a hypocrite user Michelle Duggar truly is!
Well, I see some muddy pictures of Jessa’s boys over at the Duggar Compound. Wonder if this is a sign she’s in labor? Tentative due date is June 6 but this is her 3 baby, the weather has been unsettled and god only knows if her due date was accurate since they don’t receive real prenatal care.
I read somewhere that Cousin Amy is get a reality show. Oh, how I hope that the Dillard’s and Anna’s/kids are included. The ratings would be so much better than Counting On. Maybe they could call the show “Moving On” or “Ostracized”.
JB and Michelle will never let Jana go. She is there until the youngest ones leave, so she can then take care of her elderly parents. Her story is already written, unless she changes it herself.
Its so sad that the Duggars take advantage of Jana. No matter what is really going on, it is bound to be some sort of control of that girl because they think they need her. In reality, they are wealthy enough to hire lots of people to help them. They are greedy abusers. I hope someday we find out differently, but that would be a real surprise. I think they both love having power over others. Hope I am wrong.
At one point, Jana was sent to the Gothard programming camp to have her personality removed, replaced with the compliant, robotic one. In 10 years she will be 40, still working in her garden and taking care of her sibling's children. At least by that time, all of the young girls will be married and she will have the big dormitory room all to herself. She will redecorate it and post photos and everyone will say how talented she is.
Jana voluntarily went to Journey to the Heart on multiple occasions. It was a vacation from the craziness of her family. She was even a counselor.

I watched two 1/2 hour Bringing Up Bates shows this morning. Such a cute show compared to any of the Duggar shows. It was night and day how upbeat the Bates family was and you can tell Kelly and Gil LOVE those children! The kids actually have normal personalities and interact so much like a family. The Duggar children act like brainwashed robots doing what they’ve been programmed to do or say. I also like how the Bates children can get an education or learn a trade following hs graduation.

Keep in mind that the Bates family are cut from the same cloth as the Duggars are. They would not have been such 'good dear friends' of them if they were not. Gil also rules with the iron fist that Jim Bob does. Each have their own style in doing so, however. UP Network packages the Bates better than TLC has packaged the Duggars. Both hold vile beliefs and practices in using and abusing their children, mostly the daughters.
I get the feeling that Jessa and Ben’s relationship isn’t as strong as they would like you to believe. Several reasons. They seem to always be hanging at the compound. They don’t seem content just hanging at their own house together. They also don’t do things with other couples besides family. They don’t seem to have any hobbies besides baby making and peddling freebies on Instagram.
In regards to Jessa having Henry “read” a few sight words. Well, he’s memorized the symbols and what they sound like. Zero comprehension at 2. Jessa should let the 2 year old be a 2 year old. It doesn’t make Henry look smart or ahead of the game. It makes Jessa look desperate, like she’s trying too hard to prove she a good homeschooling mom. Notice how UNCOMFORTABLE Ben looks in the background of the video?
And let’s talk about Ben’s Neanderthal look. He looks like he’s desperate to look older, more mature so people take him seriously. Instead, Ben looks like a desperate, unkempt man-child. He’s beginning to remind me of Derek “Dillweed” during his Danger America mission. Not a good look.
i think some of the bates kids like zach and whitney have christitan faith but do not go to that gohtad church you never see that in big sandy like the duggar kids that are married. I could be wrong.
I don’t understand the media around the Duggar’s. What they report and find as newsworthy really just.....isn’t.
Case in point, Cousin Amy posted on her Instagram about her first pair of maternity jeans (this isn’t a dig at that, because to be fair I’d probably post the same on my own Instagram because I’d be so excited) and PEOPLES magazine thought that was worthy enough to have an “article” on. Which also, was just basically a copy and paste of Amy’s post and then copy paste a few reposes that she got. How?!? How is that newsworthy? How???????

Not a Mocker... I don't think the "newsworthy" articles you describe are limited to the Duggars. There are so many articles floating around the internet that originate from a celebrity social media post and a number of responses. Most "articles" are just copy/paste retweets of responses to something a celebrity said or did. Duggars or not, these types of articles are just ridiculous click bait and often not even edited.

Re:Mickey2942 comments about Jana.It seems to me that it should have stood to reason, that J.B.would have started the marriage marathon (auction)with finding a husband for Jana. Sadly, I don't think Jana ever had the backbone to say no to her father & his choice of a hubby for her, so apparently that's why he decided that Jill would go first. After all, he knew she was an airhead (sorry but true) & let's face it J.B. has been the puppet master of all these courtships, engagements & marriages. If he could have, he would have been giving directions on how to become pregnant in the shortest amount of time. Sometimes you just have to wonder how far he will go. For some reason, it must have been decided that Jana was to be the sacrificial lamb in the marriage-go-round. Perhaps J.B. & Michelle realized early on that Jana was indeed the one that should be kept prisoner (I mean at home)to help, as she apparently does have a head on her shoulders,& common sense, unlike some of her sisters, who shall not be named & could handle what was to come in her life. So now this is her life: Housekeeper, cook, nursemaid to all her sister & brother children, plus home repairs & gardening, which may or not be "hobbies." In the fundie circles, an almost 30yr.old woman is now a "spinster & nobody in their circles wants a spinster for their son or as a daughter-in-law. She's a beautiful young women who has had her life ruined by her parents & all for what will be most beneficially to them & of course all the sisters & brothers.

There are many pregnant women that come in to eat.
Raw fish is not the only thing in a sushi joint. Also i see pregnant women order and eat some raw items such as albacore or salmon. They all stay away from raw tuna, it is high in mercury.
She could be eating quite a variety of other foods in such a place.
Who thinks Jill even know that eathing sushi while pregnant is not good. After all, she spent her pregnancy with Sam in the jungle full of mosquitos that could infect her baby's development.
Regarding Ben's hairy new look...….if he wanted to appear older, he should do that horrible thing in Duggar world......get a job to support his family. He should have manly interests which means not tagging after Jessa to change the baby's diapers.
So many comments about Jana. I am very concerned for that young woman at this point in time. She is almost 30 years old and still tending to someone else's children. Although I feel that JB and Michelle certainly enjoy having her around to do all the work, I do not believe they are preventing her from marrying. I believe that Jana is the smartest, most capable sister and I think she is also the "pickiest" - she doesn't want just any fundy guy. In addition, Jana is quiet and somewhat shy. What bothers me is that most women in her culture marry young. Where does this leave Jana? I don't know.
I read where JB is flipping a house. Does anyone else find that hilarious? TLC had to step in and "finish" the compound, since it was such a disaster. Nothing was up to code, so many things improperly installed, systems had to be ripped out, things replaced, etc. I still remember those little girls walking around with nail guns. Anyway, I'm sure the Duggar bunch did a great job on this one. Whoever buys it had better hope John David did the heavy lifting cause you know JB didn't hire out ANY of the work. Not when he has plenty of free labor.
I just watched a rerun of “Bringing Up Bates “ and I made a few observations.
First, there’s a whole lot of acting going on. All the baby announcements and everyone overreacts, hollering, screaming, jumping around to the point it makes a baby cry.
Second, why is Kelly Bates (ditto for Mechelle) so over involved in their adult children’s labor and delivery? This isn’t natural. It’s all for the tv shows. I don’t know too many women who want their MIL up in their business while delivering a baby. Seriously. Kelly needs to back off and get herself back in the waiting room like a normal person.
Third, I’m glad the Bates included Jana in their wedding activities. I saw her in the background of an activity for Michael’s wedding and it made me happy for her.
Fourth, there’s something really creepy about Gil being so interested in the females pregnancy, labor and delivery. He’s not a doctor or nurse, obviously so I don’t know if it’s just a big act for the show or what but it creeps me out.
Fifth, the Bates show is on Up channel which has a bigger Christian draw verses “Counting On “ which is on the freak channel TLC. In the long run, the Bates show will continue unless some huge scandal occurs or comes to light.
Sixth, the Bates show seems more up to speed verses CO which is 1-1 1/2 years behind time. I think that’s why CO is so boring and seems like one big rerun so why watch it.
Well, if the Duggar’s are going to do a “all the married women are pregnant “ photo, they better hurry up. Jessa-Blessa is due in 24 days!!!

I am also concerned about her & do agree that perhaps she just wasn't interested in some funie guy J.B. picked out, but I don't believe any of the married Duggars, women or men picked their own mate. JB. had his hand in the choice of whoever they married. I remember the questioner he had for all the young men. As far as the young women went, all he needed to know was that they came from the same type of family a his, usually a family they knew of from "Big Sandy" or some other church function. Not one person that has married into that family with the possible exception of Jeremy, has ever attended public school,although I know nothing about his early education. They have all been homeschooled. Nothing wrong with homeschooling in general, but what are the chances that any of us have sons-in-law or daughters-in-law that all have exactly the same family background? Whatever has kept Jana as the housemaid & spinster that she now is, you have to wonder who in the Duggar world will ever be interested in her, which is probably just fine with her, as she probably doesn't want the kind of marriage her sisters & brothers have & who can blame her. I just wish she wasn't the housemaid & nanny that she has become. She's always either doing her mother's jobs, or her sisters jobs. Whenever we see her she's holding a niece or nephew. I just wish her a happy life. Would love to see her dressed & groomed nicely & going off to school somewhere (it's never too late) or off to the office, where she would have her own friends & her own life. Actually, she could even have her own business, catering or housecleaning, something along those lines, would pay well & is certainly something she could do outside the compound. The life she's living is such a waste of a beautiful young woman.
Jana fan: YES, YES, YES! Could not agree more. I REALLY want her out of there so that her lazy, useless mother has to actually do something. I have no doubt that Jana could find a great, rewarding job if she could break free from the compound. But she won't, sigh. She is too brainwashed and controlled and unaware.
I don't wish any bad on anyone, EVER. But if JB became incapacitated in some way, I wonder what they would all do? I think Jana would flourish. I think she would find a job and love it. I think Ben would be forced to grow up and come out from under Jessa's skirt. So many of them would have a chance at independence for the first time in their lives. Even though it will probably never happen, it is still my every hope and wish for them.
If Jana would EVER get married you can bet JB and Michelle will select someone who would allow them to control everything about their marriage. And they would live on a Duggar property.
So......I've been reading the comments regarding Jana, and I have kind of another angle. She might be just the smartest girl in the bunch. She is the oldest daughter, which means her entire life she has been a "second mom" to many of her younger siblings. Maybe she doesn't WANT to get married. Maybe she would rather live at home etc. instead of doing what her region dictates. Get pregnant as soon as she gets married and have baby after baby after baby. The reason I bring this up, is that I actually know someone similar to her. She is from a very large family. She was a "sister mom" to many younger siblings. She made a decision in her teens that she never wanted children of her own. She just didn't want to live that life. That might be Jana's thoughts. I too, would love to see her have the opportunity to experience the world, but for her....maybe she prefers where she is to marrying a man her FATHER picks out for her.....a man she may not love......and then have many babies of her own.

Michelle has a lot of nerve speaking as a role model to anyone. The titles of her talks should be 'how to exploit your daughters in to doing all of your housework FOR you'. That is not being a mother.
IF Jana ever married and left the house, Johanna is right in line to be Jana 2.0, followed by Jennifer and Jordyn as her assistants. Michelle doesn't remember how to run a household anymore. She is virtually useless and has never learned how to cook. Josie will never be asked to do more than 'gather the dirty laundry' off the floor. This is a dysfunctional family.
Mickey,Derick has a degree in accounting.He just decided not to use it anymore,after his brief stint at Walmart.
If I were Jb,my first question to him would have been,why were you off wandering around in Nepal for 2 years after graduation,not using your degree? I don't buy the whole missionary thing.It's illegal to try to convert ppl there.But that's a whole other story.s
And then I think he attended the classes thru church,when he was doing the fundraisers.But that didn't stick,either.Just like missionary in South America,where they never learned Spanish,didn't.

I agree with you all about Derick. He stayed too long in Nepal, IMO, and that sort of points to someone who doesn't really want to work. O.K., so he got married and TRIED to work at Wal Mart but I don't think he liked working at all. Then he tries not working, I mean being a missionary, in El Salvador. The thing was it was dangerous and his wife hated it, IMO. So, they come back home and he decides to be a missionary here in the states and does the Cross Church missionary studies. THEN - they lose the TLC show and he more or less had to go to "real" work. Why he didn't just pick back up with accounting, I think, is that if he switched
to law, he could go to school a little longer and thus put off working a little longer. I also don't think he will succeed at law. Just my gut feeling. I feel bad to say that, but its just my guess. Hopefully, he just got a sudden desire to be a lawyer and it will work out this time.

They can only function in their world where everything is laid out for them. They know what's expected of them & so far that's exactly what they have done. Derick has legitimate college degree & yet is going from one thing to another..not one job to another. If he wants to be a lawyer, he should be supporting his family by day, by working at a job & attending night school. Well, he is doing better than Josh, who will soon have six kids to support, no education, no job, the only job he did have, he was fired from, and now, is he living back at the compound? Is his wife delusional? Six children? Just live on JB's handouts? I could never do it!
Josh has always been willing to live on handouts from anyone, regardless of whether or not it was from his parents, or people from their church. I have no idea how Derick & Jill survive. I know when I was their age & had 2 children my hubby worked 2 jobs & I worked a part-time job. Of course, this allowed us to purchase our own home,as there was nobody who was going to give us a house to live in even temporarily. I wonder who pays or their medical insurance & other items like that? None of them seem to have jobs that would have an employer who paid their insurance. Even with home birth most families need to make occasional trips to the Dr's office, or even emergency room & that's not cheap.

She's just like her sister Esther in Africa..she's also been on 19 KAC.. playing missionary,and having others support them while they have more kids.You'd think they'd feel bad about that,but that's how their parents raised them
I wonder if the Duggar clan have emergency food and supplies for a disaster or if the grid goes down for a few weeks? Arkansas has been having lots of tornado warnings and bad weather. It be interesting to see how the Duggar’s would cope. There has to be about 50 people to feed and take care of in an emergency.
I think Jana knows exactly what she's doing, I don't think she wants marriage and 20 children. She is raising (her) children now and her last is Josie, then she will be done.
With regards to all the questions regarding how Derrick and Jill are "supporting" their family while he is in law school. Two words.......SCHOOL LOANS. Also, I see a lot of comments on how lazy Derick is etc., but he's no different than the Duggar boys. They work hard at what they WANT to work at, but from what I can see, none of them have real jobs. I think Derick has "learned" a lot from JB and the Duggars with regards to that. Also, one thing I will say with regards to him being in law school. It isn't easy to get into law school. It is hard and takes a lot of studying to complete. I, for one, am hoping that he is successful and comes out with a law degree, can pass the bar, and then gets into a job where he really can support his family. At least they don't live on the compound. At least Jill, with kids and hubby, don't go over to the "compound" and sit around all day while Jana and others do the work. At least they are living on their own, supporting their own kids and living independent. I feel the same way about Jeremy and Jinger. At least they have a life that is not 100 percent intertwined with JB and Michelle
I just saw that Lauren and Josiah have announced that they are pregnant and due in the fall. I wondered about that. I saw a picture from Jill's birthday celebration this weekend and it looked like she might be pregnant. I am happy for them. It is obvious that their miscarriage was devastating for them, and with so many other sisters-in-law pregnant now, it would have been so hard. So, that brings the count to how many now that will be having kids this year????

School loans will actually only pay for a portion of the tuition, books,or any other monies associated with your schooling. At least most people don't get every penny paid for by a school loan. Do school loans put food on the table, or clothing on the children's backs? I don't know how people survive with 2 small children & nobody working in the home. I don't believe Jill is working fulltime or even part-time, as a midwife & that was her only income, she can't be making much advertising various goods on social media. Who pays all the other bills, that most people have, i.e. Dr's bills? There must be hospital bills left from Jill's emergency C-sections. Derick wasn't working when those boys were born in the hospital via C-Section. What about bills such as, car insurance, gas for your vehicles, electric bills, water bills? Am I the only one who has these types of bills. I don't believe you can ask people to wait until you finish Law school & get a job to pay your monthly bills. I have to pay mine every month.
Mickey, I agree that they have no self esteem. They aren't taught to think for themselves (especially the girls). I think that's why Anna stayed with Josh. She probably felt she had no other options. I feel very bad for her. I think under all that smiling and keeping sweet, she's miserable and chronically depressed. Not just her though. I think all the girls are. How can they be happy when their whole life has been planned for them. None of them live life. They just exist to follow the path that they were forced on.
Josiah is like a mini josh(by looks) I don't know how he is as far as his personality but the pictures of him lately I just see Josh. Johannah looks like Joy. Justin has never looked like a Duggar to me until Isaiah was born then I saw the resemblance
Does anyone know how far along Lauren was in her pregnancy, when she announced it? I hope she didn't announce it as soon as she did the last time. I am happy for her, as I'm sure this is what she want. I do hope she has an OB/GYN, or skilled midwife, but I can't believe the chances these young women take with their pregnancies, as well as these home births. I couldn't believe Anna had another home birth after what she went through with Michael's birth. She was so fortunate that both she & Michael survived the "toilet birth." Jill was rushed to the hospital twice for emergency C-sections, Jessa rushed to the hospital for hemorrhaging following the birth of her first son, had another home birth for her second. Joy went though absolute agony & ended up being rushed to the hospital for an emergency-section, much to J. B.'s disappointment. He as a man never having gone through labor & delivery wanted her to have home birth. Pictures of her look like she was close to death. I'll bet she's planning another home birth this time. They take such chances with these home deliveries. Don't they even think that these are precious babies. These babies also need a mother who survives the delivery. Lauren needs to follow in Jinger's footsteps by, having good prenatal care, gong to the hospital & having an epidural. Nothing wrong with that at all, it didn't make Jinger any less of a mother.

He's no different than J.B. who always wants to know how far along they are dilated, making comments about how they should have a home birth. Of course, he also stays on his phone to find out how the labor is progressing & then shouts it out to all assembled, which is usually all the boys & little girls in the family, that are assembled at the Duggar compound, waiting for the announcement. Of course they all pretend to act interested. He make sure to mention numerous time that they shouldn't go to the hospital. As soon as J.B. hears the baby has arrived, he packs up the entire family & heads to whatever house the birth is taking place at. The newborn is then passed around to every member of the family including all the little ones with their dirty fingers. So Gill learn from the master.

I seriously don’t get Jessa. She insists on wearing modest skirts and dresses because of the Lord, but puts on the most skin tight maternity clothes as soon as she’s 4 months pregnant. What a hypocrite.
The important part is the ratings! Home birth is drama! And goes along with "education is not needed". Although, Mama Michelle had given up on home births...Poor Lauren, I guess she had to just work on getting pregnant right away, don't waste time trying to figure out what the problem was...just part of "God's plan". With few exceptions, Jim Bob has a family of useless sons and sons-in-law, Jeremy & John David being the exceptions. I think Jim likes it that way. His dysfunctional hold on his children must be very satisfying to him.

This picture is interesting, every one is all dressed up, Anna, with her sons all dressed with shirts and ties, little girls in pretty dresses, and Josh looks like he just rolled out of bed with a pair of wrinkled jeans and a tshirt. Scruffy beard. There is a huge disconnect in this picture. He is holding his youngest son, who is acting like he has never been held by Josh before. Anna is happy, Josh, not so much.

I think Jessica Seewald's dress is absolutely beautiful. I have followed her on Instagram for quite some time and she does not live the lifestyle of her family and dresses in what I could call "normal" fashion for a young lady her age. I love the photos from her wedding. She has also been posting honeymoon photos and they show a very happy couple.

Re Laura's comment 5/14: Yeah the way these people obsess over births is a bit freaky. They preach modesty and tell kids not even pre-teens so and so is pushing. I wonder if the personalities are manufactured. I wonder about the 'college' degrees the kids get. Crown college offers Bachelor of Bible Study degrees or certificates. Part of the requirements involve Bible-related courses. If you read some of the sons' social media, the beliefs show. Many IBF /IBLP people go to school and the women wear pants. The last I checked it is not in good form for wedding guests to wear white to a wedding. White is supposed to be the 'bride's color' and reserved for HER so she stands out. Dresses that predominately white, even with floral patterns are considered 'white dresses'. What is wrong with them? Jana looks like she's going to work on 'casual Friday'. I hate to defend the Duggars, but in a photo of a large group of wedding guests, a LOT of women were in white or very pale colors that looked white in the photo. Perhaps in their group, they haven't heard about not wearing white or they don't care?

Lawson was at Disneyland/Disney world, one of the boys was doing the Floss dance at the rehearsal and I have heard them reference Big Screen movies, celebrities. Mia,this is how young people (20s/30s) dress for formal events like weddings/graduations in the South. A lot of young people don't have well paying jobs plus styles like LulaRoe and Matilda Jane are very popular. If you can't afford it, there's a store in the mall selling similar!

It’s a 12 hour car ride from Knoxville, TN to Tontitown, AR. I’m betting Mechelle didn’t make it back in time for the home birth of Ivy Jane. One thing no one has speculated about. Where was Nurse Abbie Duggar when all this was going south???? Hopefully when the call came, Abbie told them to get to the hospital. Ivy was due June 5 or 6 and born May 26. That was 38.5 weeks so not early at all. Due date plus or minus about two weeks is considered normal. What Jessa said was the boys were both about 5 days after their due dates so they were expecting that again so this one was earlier than they expected.
Perhaps Jb will offer cash incentives for every baby born,if he isn't already

From the expression on Ben’s face standing behind Jessa and Ivy, I think reality has hit. Ben is about to have a Derek meltdown. You ask why? Well, first off he thought it was a boy. Then, the reality of buying all kinds of girl things they don’t have will be a major expense. Then comes the 2-3 day stay in the hospital which could cost up to $100,000 depending what exactly was wrong with Jessa & possibly Ivy. Then, within a year, the house will be obviously too small, thus they’ll need an addition put on or a new house. Add in the normal diapers, bottles whatever else to the expenses and you’ve got the PERFECT Dillard style meltdown happening to poor, uneducated, unemployed Ben. Jimbob better get his wallet open! Why do you say lie about a home birth? Jessa had the baby at home it seems so that is a home birth. That she was later transported to the hospital for some complication doesn't make it not a home birth. That she might be stupid to have home births with a 66% complication rate thus far is another matter.
Daniel: I am not a Duggar fan by any means but why are you calling Jessa a liar? For these Duggar girls there seems to be some sort of a competition going on with home births, like it is the highest achievment ever and Jessa has now had three, the only sister to manage it. She ended up in hospital after Spurgeon because of haemorrage and she birthed Henry at home without any complications. It does seem that she had to go to the hospital again this time but it could be for any number of reasons, it doesn't make her a liar about her home birth, and in the picture released of her holding Ivy she looks well, unlike after Spugie where she looked pale and ill. My beef with their home births is that they don't employ real skilled midwives and instead risk their own and their babies lives to people who make a quick exit when the shit hits the fan and the paramedics arrive. I'm sure this has all been filmed for their boring show and the truth will eventually come out about the post birth hospital visit.
Hi Colen. Not being argumentative but I live in the South - Arkansas, actually. I have never dressed like the Duggars for a wedding. We have big, formal weddings here just like everywhere in spite of socioeconomic factors. One of the BEST wedding salons in the U.S is in Brinkley, Arkansas. People come from everywhere to shop there. Our state newspaper offers the typical high society section which showcases the charity balls and the fanciest weddings, etc.
I was not criticizing the Duggars' attire. They are fundies and this is typical fundie attire. Some fundie friends from my past used to complain about attending so many weddings and they, too wore very informal attire.

Josh and Anna posted baby #6 ultrasound photo. A couple thoughts. First, NO ONE CARES but YOU. It’s your 6 th baby for crying out loud. I guess Felicity will have to move out of the little spotlight that had shined on her for awhile, after all Jessa had a girl & that certainly will take precedent over Jinger having a girl. I doubt that Jessa's Ivy will be as well dressed as Felicity, poor thing will probably be in thrift store clothes, that look like they are never washed & certainly never ironed. Felicity always looks like her clothing came from a baby boutique.
I asked the question about the photo of Ivy with Guinn in the hospital setting. We will see if they answer it. If they address it, I highly doubt that they will be specific; they most likely will 'dance around it' even though the Duggars don't 'allow dancing'....only when it suits them!
Well, I'm not surprised if it is true that Josh and Anna are back on TV. I thought I was noticing them on social media more than before. I thought maybe they (Anna) were trying to make some $ from endorsements or whatever. IF they are back on the show, they were probably instructed to up their social media ante. My personal opinion would be that JB pushed for it as Josh OBVIOUSLY has trouble working for money. Josh wants that fame and easy $ and no one is going to keep him from it. JB is just desperate for Josh to leave and cleave (I would assume).
This is disgusting to me and I fear if very many people feel like I do, Josh may destroy what it is left of the show after the Derick disaster. Poor Jill, poor Anna. I hate to say that, but I do feel bad for them in some ways. I don't think their parents or "cult" leaders prepared them for these kinds of problems. I think Jill is adjusting ok but I think Anna is in denial and I am afraid reality may hit her someday and it will be devastating. Josh needs to stop having kids.
