Maybe the reason none of the adult married children and families, except “sex pest & family” attended the Duggar Thanksgiving is because they realized the gravy train of illegal activities is about to implode. The IRS or some other agency may have froze all of JB and Michelle’s assists and accounts, since it sounds like there’s been money laundering. That means the TLC money roll JB doles out is going to be tied up for awhile. This could get very interesting.
My husband swears he saw Jeremy on a Lowe’s commercial this afternoon. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit. I also see that Jinger has a Jingerdonut coming out at a gluten-free bakery in LA. Add this to The Cameo videos they are doing for $40 & $60 a pop. Pretty exciting times for those two!
Well Josh & his family love on the Duggar compound so not surprised they attended Thanksgiving with JB & M. Basically Josh is controlled by JB & since the scandal must continually march to the beat of JB’s drum. Leave & cleave no longer apply to Josh.

I see it mentioned about human trafficking and tax evasion. Is that speculation or fact? I haven't ever read it anywhere except here, so I am curious.
So apparently Derek is writing a tell all book and, well honestly, I feel like it should be Jill writing it as it’s her family and her story.
But I also don’t know how credible his version of the story would be based off of how often he changes his story. And I don’t just mean the “missionary to accountant to missionary to pastor in training to law school” part of the story.
TLC says the fired him and then Jill quits in solidarity. Then Derek says they were never fired, that they quit because it felt hypocritical to be on a channel that also promotes transgenderism. And then they couldn’t really be fired because they were all volunteers. But then they weren’t volunteers because Jim Bob has the contract for all of them (aka all the money went to him first and given out as JB saw fit). At one point Jill said they stepped down so they could spend more time with their children and focus on their family but they might be back one day.
I don’t think I could believe anything written in Dereks book just based on how many times the story of being cut off from TLC has changed.
This is news to me about Derick's book but I am not surprised. I heard/read about the rumors of the car lot but do we know what that is about yet? Josh is involved in a real estate lawsuit of some sort and so is Austin. Have there been any more rumors about MediCorps? I just don't want to miss anything, lol. IMO, Jeremy should stick to what he knows and started with - being a famous mega preacher. Then his past sermons won't haunt him. I am happy for his friend Luis and his soccer deal. He seemed like a sweet person on the show. Wow, if Derick writes a book, Jill will probably be banned from her family. So sad. It has to be done, however, as I am sure Derick has some important facts to set straight. I am ok with the Duggars having a show if they want to, but it may get a little sketchy soon.

Law school is very demanding how does Derick have the time to write a tell all book? Is Derick still in law school? I mean he jumps from one thing to another. Derick appears to have difficulty to focus or just a short attention span?
Why are these Duggar girls taking castor oil to help labor? I remember grandmothers taking about taking it the fifties. Not ever heard about castor being used these days. I am also sick & tired of Jim Bob Michelle being in every episode.

The only "Duggar secret" that will be included in Derick's 'tell-all' book, is the secret ingredient in tater tot casserole that gives it that great flavor they all love. My opinion is that his book will focus on Pistol Pete, his time in Nepal and the 'adventures' in Central America playing missionary. I doubt it will reveal anything we don't already know about his in-laws. I'm not getting excited about this yet.

I think that if Jinger wants to be a "Social Promoter" she needs to identify her "brand" and who she is...unless she is just happy following the Duggar party line, which is actually pretty offensive to mainstream media and most people. Can any one please tell me where they saw the news about Derick writing a book? Did he admit it himself? I am just curious because I missed it somehow. I know of a few people who were home schooled but definitely in a non religious way. The Gothard method of home schooling is fraught with deception & does not present a clear reality of history of the USA. It’s all about Gothard & the fundie way of life limiting women & female.children. It’s about Gothard himself & not about God therefore the Gothard way of life is about a Cult. Gothard home schooling is not a smart method of educating children as is evident in some of the Duggar kids who still struggle with reading, vocabulary & communicative skills.
I find it funny that all Jinger’s fans are in an uproar over her 2 lost endorsements. They are asking why poor, sweet Jinger has to punished for her family and brother’s sins. I agree that the Swanson home is very beautiful. I love it. I think Dwain Swanson has more going on than "lawn mowing" (which I didn't know about). Interesting. He runs some kind of seminar/conference type activities for Christian men - at least that is what I have seen mentioned several times. Also, I think his family had a farm with some property and one or more homes, where they lived in GA. That could possibly be playing into his income as well. No doubt, though, he could have easily got some real estate "deals" from JB, as they are obviously very close friends. I am really curious, though, how Josiah makes his living, aside from TLC money of course. He is supposedly a pilot but I never see much posted about him actually flying anywhere. Does he work at the car lots? Just seems vague, as usual for the D men. I was wondering if he was maybe working for Mr. Swanson in some capacity.

As far as how Josiah made money...According to his Facebook page (this was a few days ago) his only posts were for cars that he was selling. I don't know how any of the the boys in that family make ANY of the money that those families are living on. Do the daughters-in-law that deliver in the hospital have insurance? This whole family is mind boggling. The IRS investigation has got to be about money laundering. Too bad that we most likely will never know the full story. If they want a public life, they should be ready to give more details at all times...

Jim Bobs views on birth control is born out of stupidity & ignorance not on medical science. Initially I believe JB made up the scenario that birth control causes loss of a child. He did so just to suit his own sick beliefs JB barely finished HS & he sorely lacks education on so many levels.

After Jessa gave birth this is the 2nd time she was transported to the hospital to stop the bleeding. It appears both Jessa & Ben are very cavalier about their health & most definitely about the health of an unborn child. I believe this behavior began when Anna gave birth at home because her Doc was out of town. Ole JB pounced on this opportunity to save money & avoid hospital costs. So once his daughters married he decided to encourage home births or perhaps insist on home births. I’ve noticed the Bates girls always go to the hospital to give birth & they arrange pre natal care. With home births & avoiding pre natal care these Duggar girls are playing a dangerous game which one day may cause a horrific situation.

I have friends that have “larger” families (like 4-6 kids) and while each kid gets a birthday party they also get a dinner out with just Mom and Dad. No siblings. Extra special just mom and dad time.

Re:Gem's comment about JB seeing an opportunity to save money by avoiding hospital costs. That could possibly be one reason but I am more inclined to think that he saw the opportunity for a large increase in viewers who couldn't wait to see one of these home births actually go wrong. No Dr. no skilled midwife, just Jill & Michelle when the home births first started. It could also be a competition between the girls. If my sister can give birth at home there's no reason I can't also. So who knows with the way they think. After all, why do people think JB would be responsible for a hospital bill for one of his married daughters or for a daughter-in-laws bill.It wouldn't be JB's responsibility to pay the hospital bill for the delivery of a grandchild, or care of his married daughter, or pay for prenatal care for any of the girls. Re: Heart in Florida's comment about Jed being allowed to live away from the family home but not Jana. It was the same story with John David. People might remember that he did work for the bank in exchange for a home they gave him. He fixed up the home but JB didn't allowed him to live in it because he wasn't married. He was a lot older than Jed now is when this took place. There's must be some method in JB's madness with letting Jed move out.

I think Lauren's birth was one of the mos painful I've seen. The baby wasn't in the right position and neither of her epidurals took -- I didn't like how the anesthesiologist wouldn't give her another one or try to figure out why they weren't working. And she is SO young to have dealt with such an agonizing two days, but she will suddenly be pregnant again next year.
I really wish they would show these births on tv in the hour they normally give but I guess the audience isn't high enought. All the bits and pieces are so disjointed when shown on line.

I think Anna’s way of holding on to Josh is to continually have more kids. I believe she does so perhaps out of fear that he will again cheat. What a fearful & horrible way to live. She doesn’t know any better way.

I must disagree Judy. Lauren’s doctor did do a third epidural because the first and second ones were working. He had lost his patience with her and who could blame him. She’s a very needy, Whitney, immature woman and Josiah and Michelle are completely enabling her to act this way. Depending on the dosage you do feel some discomfort and you are able to push during your contractions but you aren’t pain free. She was exaggerating her pain that’s why the doctor was done with with her.
Josiah acted ridiculous jumping around yelling at others to put the fan in her face and he straddled all over her the entire time. Jill shoving ice chips in her face And someone shoving a wet cloth on her head. But she soaked up every minute of it.
Anyone who assigns a gender and names a late period isn’t above wasting a doctors time.
We all knew it but Michelle reminded us last week that the scriptures tell her (and us) that a woman’s hair is her glory. Kinda weird hearing her actually say it out loud. My 77 year old mother who is fighting demetiA said “it does say that in the Bible” meanwhile I must roll my eyes at Michelle and my poor old mom who believes this stuff.

I believe that JB saw the "money train" when TLC first had them on, "12 kids and counting". After that, Michelle had a baby every year.
I think most of us here are not fans of the Duggars' religious bigotry, to put it mildly, but that should not mean we judge them for things in ordinary life. Lauren experienced back labour for which epidurals do not always work. It is the doctor's job to help someone in her position, even if it gets to a point where only moral support is possible.
I must have missed the third epidural for Lauren. I only caught the caption that said Lauren was given "medication" to help her relax between contractions. Lauren, Josiah and Michelle all bugged the heck out of me, however. Lauren's mom was there but seemed pushed to the side. If I was Lauren, I would have asked Michelle to politely get my mom. Kendra, Joe and Mrs. Caldwell, however, were not irritating at all. They were able to keep Michelle at bay a little better.
Levy, Michelle with her ever present overly calm irritating voice and a camera crew was most certainly part of the reason Lauren couldn't relax during labor. If Lauren and Josiah got paid by tlc for filming the birth then shame on Josiah for exploiting his wife for money. If this was a "volunteer" situation dictated by Jim Bob then he should go to hell for putting his daughter in law and son through a public birth to line his own pockets. I really can't stand this family anymore--the whole bunch of them. All the adult Duggars are complicit.
Can we talk about Jilly Muffin's whining and complaining about her boys on instagram? Talking about bawling to Derick when he gets home from school because she had to care for the boys all day. What is wrong with her? She is making a fool out of herself with all her drama. Suck it up, buttercup! Why does she think anyone wants to hear her complain? Posters have been complaining for a few years about the Duggar events being shown months after they happened. Nothing has changed, and it might be one of the reasons that viewers are steadily declining. Their daily lives aren't that interesting, so they have to wait a long time in between courtings, weddings and births to actually have a show.
I don't understand how Jill is able to promote products while Jinger lost two contracts to promote things. They both believe in the Gothard cult, Derrick was fired for his controversial comments on social media, Jill constantly talks about her sex life and what to do to improve it, so she isn't so squeaky clean as far as controversy on her own.
Therefore, why has Jinger lost out because of what her family members have been involved in while Jill, her sister, is able to profit in advertising several companies? Whatever that family has done puts a cloud on all of them by association, but companies have no problem with Jill's promotions yet penalized Jinger from the same family. Not fair to any of the Duggar children who haven't done anything to be criticized for except for their cult beliefs that have been forced on them since they could walk and talk.
As for Jeremy Vuolo, people are so impressed by his good looks and speaking abilities, but are people really listening to what he's saying? He preaches hate for anyone who doesn't believe what he believes in, openly bashes the Catholic religion which was the dominant religion of the people in Laredo where he used to live, yet they all seemed to love him there. Jana really has nothing to look forward to. She was struggling for words when asked that question in her TH...she hesitated and was uncomfortable. So sad for a 30 year old woman to have no plans of her own, no hopes, dreams and being powerless to make them happen for herself. One day Jim Bob and Michelle will have only Jana and Josie left at home. I doubt that Josie will marry young as she is 'kept young' by her mother and Jana's ship has sailed.
I think Jana is still the 'MOM'. On Instagram, she was the one who thanked Joy for taking the younger girls for the day to watch TV. Michelle probably didn't even notice they were gone. To me, Jana mostly looks sad. She tries to smile but she just looks sad, IMO
Jill cut off about 14” of her hair. She now has a nice modern looking haircut. So refreshing that one of the girls finally got rid off that way-too-long style.
Jill looks so pretty in the one picture with her hair straight and not a lot of eyeliner. She has beautiful eyes that I hadn't noticed before with the darker liner.
Let’s hope the other Duggar “girls” follow Jill‘s example and cut off a foot or two of their hair. It’s just creepy that Jim Bob’s sexual fetish for long hair still dictates how his daughters style their hair.

I think Jana holds a lot inward that she may be afraid to share or she’s inwardly fearful of Jim Bob, Jana always giving always there for her family. I feel sorry for Jana as an adult not allowed to even have her own bedroom. Just really sad.

Yes, Jill cut her hair and wants to donate it to a good cause. Good for her. But if she only gets a couple haircuts a year, how healthy will that hair be? I'm thinking there will be lots of split ends.
Complete change of subject, but I'm thinking of Anna & baby #6. Dry your tears and put on a happy face to show the world. She will keep popping out as many as babies as she can. That's the only way she knows how to hold on to her "wonderful husband" (cue Michelle's annoying baby voice). Give your husband what he wants and he'll be so happy he'll never wander or cheat with another woman. Everybody knows that a good fundy husband must want a huge family to show off his virility.

I am surprised by all the dislike for Jill...who seems to be breaking away from her family's beliefs...they are critical of Derrick for being at school and leaving jill alone with the boys...but that is the case for a lot of sahm....somebody needs to be bringing in money for the family to survive...I do mot get how Derrick is able to be a full time student but it seems he is not relying on Jim bob...they compare him to Ben ..but does Ben work??? in real world it is not possible for 2 parents to be home with the children..somebody needs to be working and bringing in a steady paycheck...these women are surviveds of sexual assaults in their own home and the greater tragedy is how their parents did not protect them...they had to live and interact keep sweet around their abuser...they were thrown into the roles of mothers at such an early age...it is quite sad...there has to be some sort of ptsd...mixed in with Stockholm syndrome...what a messed up way to grow up.
While Jeremy's beliefs are conservative and Gothards are conservative the similarities and there. Gothard is a fundamentalist baptist, Jeremy is a reformed baptist. Very different religious views on multiple issues
Maybe Ben gets paid by PopsD to teach the littles...?? I am happy for Jilly as she explores what her unGothard life might be like. She spent years being filmed and seems to thing she needs to film and document every aspect of her life. Just needs to mature and realise she can live a life without the limelight and drama.

Jill posted an instagram photo the other day and was wearing Sherpa top from Audrey Roloff’s site that goes for $80!! How can she afford something like that. I work full time with a good paying job and I can’t afford that and buy the equivalent at Costco for $16
These people aren't pro-life, they're pro-birth. Once you're born, you're on your own. The egg donor is the perfect example of this. And it's why Jill is having such a rough time with two whole children; she doesn't have anybody to hand them off to now they require care beyond breastfeeding and photo-ops.

It seems like Jill and Jinger are trying to make a few new rules. Frankly, I think Jinger is a little too timid to attempt very much but I think Jill would run for the roses given half a chance! I hope that Derick encourages her to keep evolving.

I absolutely believe Derick when he says they were told TLC didn't pay actual money to the family, only reimbursements and such. Jim Bob Duggar is a flat out L I A R who lies repeatedly. I think of the Megyn Kelly interview and remember how Jim Bob did almost all of the talking. Michelle would occasionally slip and say something about feeling like they had failed as parents, etc. Not Jim Bob. Not an ounce of sincerity or honesty in the man. He just stayed with his script. Over and over he stated that his pervert son had touched his daughters "over the clothes while they were asleep" and the rest of the bullshit. (Not that I'm letting Michelle off the hook, mind you. She favors her firstborn irrationally and wrongly. She doesn't deserve her daughters' love.) They both make me sick.
I think JB thought he had control of Derick. They were prayer partners before Derick ever met Jill, and JB knew he controlled HER. So that was all nice and zipped up. However, Derick AND Jill learned that they had been fed a line of crap about a few things, most notably that they were REQUIRED to film the show that TLC was supposedly not paying anybody a salary for. That was all well and good when the 19 were still children - JB did what he always did and pocketed everyone's money. But Daring Derick came along and opened a few people's eyes, including his wife's. The biggest disgrace is that Jim Bob is trying to control Derick now by punishing JILL. She's not allowed to be in her own home (the compound) around her own family unless she gets PERMISSION from Jim Bob first? Really? How does Minnie Mouse feel about that? Let me guess.
I read that one of Jill's brothers went to see her during Christmas. I hope so. That one little act of defiance does my heart good. Even if it's not intended to be defiance. I still like it. The other adult Duggars should do likewise. They are grownups now, with young children of their own. They may be brainwashed but they aren't brainDEAD.

Don’t be fooled Judy. Lauren is a sad character so desperate for attention she has mourned over a late period, assigning a gender, naming it, and making a coffin shoe box with a pregnancy test inside. She even has the “conception” date and the period date on the coffin shoe box and it’s five weeks. That’s a late period. They filmed a scene showing this and Michelle and Lauren’s mom have enabled this silly woman to act like this. And why shouldn’t she? Michelle did it years later for the cameras. Assigning a gender and a name to a miscarriage. Even giving medical advice on camera that a doctor said birth control pills caused a miscarriage. Michelle should have to tolerate silly Lauren because she’s just repeating what Michelle did for the cameras. It’s a re-make just like Hollywood does. We had Charlie’s Angels in the 70’s and now we have the remake in 2019.
I wouldn’t put a call like that past Michelle and Jimbob however that was a production scripted scene for the tv show. Michelle was really telling us the audience what was going on. But hey, if they are going to do that she could have pretended to be talking to Jinger or some other WOMAN
Something that cringed me last year with Kendra’s mom. She was nursing her baby under the cape and hugged maybe Joe? Over a pregnancy announcement. (I think it was joe)
Seriously they do a frontal hug when your baby is sucking on your breast and your shirt and bra is off covered by a cape? I don’t know it just seemed overly familiar.
