lets take a quiz here are these two ready to tie the knot. No what father ask Josiah those questions. the first question I would ask is how are you going to support my daughter when you never held a job in the outside world? my would never marry at 18 and no education setting self up for failure.
I thought Josiah said he'd been busy working.
what job does he have again? working for his father is not a job in my book. or being on tv. is not really a job either. why they are not leaving the house learning no social skills. do they even have friends outside of someone they meet at some big sandy confrence place.
Every episode is either wedding or baby/pregnancy related. Every. Single. Week. Bored out of my mind with the show. And let's pray Jimboob and Mechelle don't make a guest appearance. We've seen enough of them for a lifetime.
I'm curious how many shows there'll be in this "season" of CO? Also wondering if CO will renewed? The amount of money per episode and the few shows they actually tape any more, I can't see how the Duggars can afford to support umpteen families, grandchildren, households without real jobs. I'm pretty sure the little Duggar girls CD didn't make them rich.
I enjoyed seeing the Swanson family, etc., but the Duggars are so low-key on their marriage proposals, compared to the Bates. The Bates make it more thoughtful and interesting. Josiah's proposal was somewhat thoughtful, but he should have put a little more time and décor into it. Maybe some music playing or SOMETHING. The way he kept saying "She is the one", I was worried he wouldn't get to the "I love her" part, but he finally did, lol. At the moment, I really like Jeremy, Lauren and Kendra. Anxious to see how we all feel about Abbie when we get to see her on the show. My "jury" is still out on Austin. We need to see more of him. I am also interested in seeing where Josiah and Lauren live. I love Joe and Kendra's place. They did an excellent job on it.
Watched the clip of Lauren showing Josiah were she went to college. I really felt badly for Josiah. He would have thrived in a school setting where he was given knowledge and opportunity. Poor guy. He looks older than he is a and worn out. I hope he and Lauren can put some space between them and the Duggar hoard. I hope he can pull himself out of the hole that JimBoob dug for him.
I agree with you Sunday, I felt bad for Josiah as well and especially when you see the Swansons let Lauren's little sister go to college at age 13! The sky did not fall in and the girls survived just fine. Jim Bob Duggar is a snake, IMO. I think he keeps his children, especially the boys, under his thumb so they will not outshine him and also so he can use them. I hope they will figure it out someday. I don't think Jim Bob gives them all that much money from the show. As usual, I could go on and on, but I mill make my self stop. Thanks for putting up with me!! :)
I imagine Josiah & Lauren will live in the vicinity of the Duggar compound. First of all, he works for Jim Bob second, the Swanson's didn't move from one state to another, unless their daughter was going to be living in that area. So I'm sorry to say, that Josiah is stuck in Duggarville like the rest of them, with the exception of Jeremy & Jinger who do seem to be happy & doing well in another state.
I agree with moshe's comments about Josiah answering the question about how he will support Lauren. The very few words that he mumbled, quietly, almost under his breath, would never pass Jim Bob's questions about how a future son-in-law, is going to support his daughter. We remember what he put Jeremy through, telling him he would need two jobs to support Jinger. It wouldn't be enough for me to say sure you can marry my daughter, sounds like you've got yourself set for the future
IMO, the reason the Swansons 'let' their 13 year old daughter attend college with Lauren was to be her accountability partner. Does anyone actually think that Lauren would have been allowed to attend by herself?
I agree Aunt Bea. The sad part is the little sister got a spark of interest for learning but it will probably be squashed before she is grown. I hope not.
