Half of the I-Love-You-Day episode was a chicken commercial and then Carlin's wedding dress episode had an AARP Travel info-mercial. I mean I know they are constantly sharing businesses, companies, etsy shops, etc on their social media but this show doesn't even need commercial breaks. Half the show is a commercial. I hope they are making some more money from these awkward scenes.
After reading several posts from Sept it’s obvious Jill & Derrick have little interests in common & especially now that Derrick is in law school he’s evolving & Jill is not she’s stuck n the JB Duggar mentality. After law school ends & Derrick becomes an attorney I just don’t see Derrick staying in that marriage he needs a wife who is intelligent & on his level.
I'm sure Jill's solution to any marriage problem will just be to get pregnant again.Jmo
I'm no Derick fan but he is outgrowing his wife. Still loves her I'm sure but the academic divide continues to expand. All the banana bread in the world won't fix this problem. I feel so sad for Jill.
In the end adding another child or pregnancy does not resolve problems within a marriage. However I agree Jill’s solution will probably be to yet again become pregnant. She doesn’t know any better & is ill equipped with the tools to figure out a way to become interesting. So sad Jill growing up was never provided the education & resources to become a productive adult.
Hey anytime one of the adult Duggar daughters is interviewed on camera they come off as childish & especially Jill & Jessa. Every other word is “like” & it’s as if the interview or comments is coming from a 12 year old & these 2 are raising children. I guess forever being stuck in childhood may be a good thing for the Duggar kids I just wouldn’t want to live that way.
I think courting vs dating is a huge mistake. When courting couples always chaperoned are never alone no privacy. The Duggar’s & Bates court only briefly not enough time to get to know each other then they quickly become engaged & soon married then quickly pregnant. The whole thing is just way too quick & down the road may cause marital problems. Frankly as the years go by I do not see every Duggar or Bates marriages with staying power.
From Jill’s Instagram postings it’s obvious she’s not secure or comfortable within her marriage to Derrick. Why is she posting advice about physical intimacy & bragging about the frequency? If a person has to brag then it must not be that frequent That old adage “thou dost protest too much” still applies in today’s world. I feel sorry for Jill she must be frustrated tying to figure out what to do next re Derrick? There’s only a limited number of time to deliver cookies to Derrick at law school. Jill needs to devise a better plan to keep an eye on Derrick. It comes down to trust. If Jill trusted Derrick & was secure within herself then she wouldn’t feel the need to chase after him.

I think Jill and Derick both wanted to be missionaries in the beginning, but they both sucked at it. Derick may have been able to hack it as a single guy but not when married. Derick is more educated than Jill, of course, but I don't think he is all that brilliant. He might stay with Jill but I just wonder what she will do if he gets an office job. If he had remained in accounting or become a CPA, he could have had an office in his home. I don't know if that would be as easy to do as an attorney, but it might be possible, I don't know. I also feel very sad for Jill. There is no good reason that she isn't a working, legitimate nurse/midwife by now. That would have changed everything, IMO - assuming she has the capacity to dig deep down and try to learn. Lord knows it would not be easy as she would be starting with such a handicap from her upbringing. We all know what happened when she tried to learn some Spanish.
If Jill stops having children then idiot Jim Bob could cut her off. He’s not smart enough to respect a woman’s body. Constant reproduction of children is not healthy especially to the number of 19 plus. Unfortunately addle Anna has bought into as many number of children as God allows. God gave us brains & thought process I believe He expects us to make sound decisions. I don’t believe God expects women to be broodmares to constantly become pregnant.
Lisa, I respect your opinion but disagree. Derrick needs a wife who is intelligent that will challenge him & one who is educated & interesting. One who will not follow him around similar to that of a puppy. Jill’s behavior is that of a girl in HS.

Ya know I’ve never believed Derrick is that religious. I think he contacted JB to marry one of the Duggar girls didn’t matter which one & to appear in TV. Derrick is educated & in law school. Academically he’s leaps & bounds above Jill & JB. Basically Derrick is married to a child. This is why I believe eventually he will leave the marriage. I don’t believe Derrick is intimidated by JB. JB not on Derricks intellectual level. In the end regardless if Derrick leaves Jill he won’t care about but disregard JB’s opinion.

Yes Mia I too feel sorry for Jill but she doesn’t have the interest to pursue more education. I mean when she was a pretend missionary she struggled to learn Spanish not sure if she accomplished learning that language because I didn’t see that Jill was committed to the process. In a marriage when one partner is evolving & improving themselves & the other is not or stuck eventually the one evolving moves on. I’ve seen this situation in some friends & some members of my family.
I don’t believe Jinger behaves similar to Jill meaning following Jeremy around constantly checking up on him. Jinger is much smarter than Jill & I don’t believe she would disrupt his classes by delivering cookies or banana bread to him in the seminary. I don’t think that’s the way Jinger rolls.
I heard about David Waller's sister as well.That is so sad.He also lost a brother to cancer may years ago,when his parents were missionaries overseas.I think he's buried in Mongolia.They didn't even get to bring him to the US for burial.Really sad

Clearly Jill is floundering in her marriage sort of like a fish out of water. She has a new home but is unable to focus or prioritize maintaining a clean home, her children or pursuing new interests because she’s too fixed on monitoring Derrick. That’s a recipe for disaster it’s not a good marriage.

Re: David Waller’s sister’s death. The road she was killed on has been recently redone due to so many accidents. There was another deadly accident in the exact place within the past week or so. Obviously redoing the road didn’t make the road safer. I’m from MN and that’s where the accident happened.
Are the bates sponsered by Under Armour? Last night's show had Carlin wearing a cap with the logo and Zach had a sweatshirt on. The Goodwill and Thrift stores in our town don't seem to have much logo wear so I am curious if they just buy new things. i know duggars have been know to wear brand name items also.
I was looking at the Duggar daughter wedding pictures to see if the styles evolved over the years. Why wasn't Carlin part of Joy Anna's wedding party if they are besties? Joy Anna was part of Carlin? Having the sisters and Anna as the bridesmaids shows how isolated their world is in regards to friends.

They are not allowed "friends" who might talk about working, traveling, dating, or going to college. And really, since they were all homeschooled, how many outside friends would they have really met? Or had time for? Teens are not usually taking care of 2 or more "sibling-babies".

Another IG video from Jill crying the blues over Sam drawing on walls and decorating the kitchen with chocolate syrup. Does she ever pay attention to that child? He always seems to in the backyard by himself (he’s 2!!!!) or hovering in the background during Jill and Israel’s “photo shoots”. So blatantly obvious that Jill prefers Israel’s company. Maybe Sam’s tantrums and acting out is his way of getting the attention he needs and isn’t getting. Jill, sorry your useless Mommy and Daddy made you raise your siblings and you are probably suffering from maternal burnout but Sam is YOUR CHILD!! Give him the love and attention that a 2 yr old deserves. Stop using your children as Instagram props. Actually, try staying off of social media for awhile. Does anyone really buy those cheap clothes she flogs or try those god-awful recipes? Jill seems to think that her every thought and action is a diamond that needs to shared with world. If she ever spent time in the real world Jill would find that baking cookies and taking kids to the library aren’t the newsworthy events she thinks they are. Time to grow up JillyMuffin. Your husband has moved on to more stimulating pastures and your Duggar family seems to have abandoned you. Find something worthwhile to do with your time (stimulate your mind) and get your children involved in activities outside of the home; dare I say pre-school and a play group for 2 yr olds?
Jill whining on her insta story about her bratty kids. Who does that? We all have rough days but we don't make it public. Children behave like that when 1. they are bored 2. there is no supervision 3. both. What the heck was Jill doing in that tiny house that she was unaware of her boys' activities? Was she engrossed with the internet? Talking on the phone? Probably one of those two things because she doesn't do any housekeeping and she has no hobbies. Don't understand why she doesn't gate off the kitchen or send the brats outside to play.

Yes, Carlin was in Joy's wedding. I think Jill might have been the only Duggar sister who did not have an extra friend in her wedding. I don't think Anna did either (she had sisters and sisters-in-law). Jessa, Jinger and Joy had friends and so did Lauren. I'm not sure about Abbie or Kendra. Quickly from missionary to law school.. Doesn’t usually go that way. If missionaries are truly committed they generally stay on the mission field for many years. I think Derrick & Jill were never really 100% committed. Jill had difficulty living in very sparse housing conditions & wasn’t into learning Spanish. I think the whole idea of Derrick & Jill as “missionaries” was a ruse for TV. The episodes I watched was boring & a bit disgusting. Maybe this jaunt to the mission field was to appease JB???

Now that Jessa & Ben have a daughter will they continue to remain in that small 2 bedroom house? I would think the daughter Ivy needs a bedroom by herself. Also if Jessa & Ben plan on having more children they need a larger house.

Is any Duggar living in the house that Derick & Jill first lived in after they were married? It seemed such a lovely house very spacious & modern. I just wondered if JB still owned the house or if it was sold?
Personally, I don't like the tone of voice Jill uses when speaking to her children. Her tone sounds like she is constantly disciplining them or is accusatory. Is this the way MOTY spoke to her? Jill speaks to her children with no sweetness, enthusiasm or genuine love. Israel desperately needs to go to a brick and mortar school and would thrive in the social setting of kindergarten. One can see clearly that he and Samuel are under stimulated and bored most of the time. Jill doesn't know what to do with them or how to entertain them. How many times can you go to the zoo? I watched that awful video. Israel was hot and sweating; Jill really didn't care. He wasn't having a good time. He told Jill straight out. She ignored him about that. I don't understand at all why Cathy and/or Derick do not see the need for the boys to go to a school. Can't they see that Jill is not educated to "educate someone else"? A good mothers-day-out program 2-3 days a week for Samuel will also be great for him. My children went to a church sponsored moms day out AND a preschool. Each was a different denomination. They loved it, thrived was anxious to go every day; it's not a full day but it gave me a chance to get some things done that I needed to do as I was a stay at home mom during that time. Jill needs to get her act together as a grown woman, wife, mother and homemaker. She is also not thriving. She, IMO, is struggling.
I agree that Derick's sudden changes in career indicates that he has no real commitment to anything. You don't go from being an accounting major in college to missionary then back out again. He's attended two 'schools' now, that $12,000 church certificate and now law school? This guy is all over the place. Jill is floundering; doesn't know how to be a mother and homemaker. I thought Michelle went on TV and stated that preparing her daughters for their Godly role in life was HER main role in life after being JB's wife. She did a terrible job of preparing her daughters so far. NOne of them seem to have any time management skills,, cooking or cleaning skills. Major things in the housewife world.

Attorneys often have many social obligations. They as well as wives interact socially. I just don’t see Jill stepping up to the plate to interact with attorneys wives who btw are probably well educated & are capable of intelligent conversation Jill is not. Jana posted video of the Las Vegas Strip(Bellagio fountains) How did they manage to drive down through there without defrauding the boys minds with the showgirls that strut the Strip? I was there in July and they are all over the place.
I am dying to know why Jill can't or doesn't spend more time at the compound. Jessa and Joy seem to go often. Josh and Anna are actually living there. It seems, to me, that there is some sort of rift going on. It seems unfair that Josh gets to live there but Jill (the victim) feels unwelcome (IF that is the case). Remember that it didn't seem that any of her family helped them move. Some of the family went all the way to Texas, twice, to help Jinger move, etc. It just seems strange. Hope it is nothing important as I do feel sorry for Jill, in some ways. I think the transition to a small family may take longer than we realize. Jill has a very nice home to live in with those boys. I would have given anything for a nice fenced yard like that. I agree she needs help and/or some instruction in family management. I always thought Israel felt left out.
Re Jill is clearly the poster child for children raising children. After reading several of these posts about Jill it breaks my heart that her boys are stuck with a Mom who has no clue how to parent, a Dad who is fickle, absent paternal Grandma & Duggar grandparents. These 2 boys need mental stimulation not the zoo or visits to the library because when at the library it appears they are not engaged in children’s books. It’s too bad Arkansas CPS cannot intervene. It’s a pity the 2 boys live in chaos.
About Michelle I remember when the show first began Michelle said she really didn’t focus on a clean house but said other things in life were more important. Obviously she passed her lack of maintaining a clean home on to her daughters & particularly Jill who learned well.
If & when in the future Jill is in a social situation with wives of attorneys I believe she will feel out of place. I mean she has no sense of fashion, very limited education & poor communicative skills. I am sure the wives of attorneys may discuss topics well beyond Jill’s means of comprehension & probably ignore her.

Even though I don’t care for Jill or Jessa it’s a travesty their Duggar parents chose to minimize their education, basic life skills & other that becoming a wife & mother discourage any kind of career. Regarding the comments about Jana - Something really struck me on the Grand Canyon road trip. She and Anna aren't too far apart in age, and yet Anna who is on her sixth pregnancy looks so much older. She ages with each pregnancy and then having to raise those children. Maybe Jana has watched her sisters, and sisters in-law go through pregnancy after pregnancy and she has decided that she just doesn't want that. That the life she has is better than following in their footsteps and the footsteps of her mother. Unfortunately, the way she was raised and brainwashed from birth, in her mind, these are her only two choices....stay home and help raise her younger siblings, or get married and live the rest of her life either pregnant or raising her kids....with a husband that would possibly be a controlling as her own dad. What breaks my heart is that she really does believe those are her only two choices.

There is actaul work involved with a baby. With pregnancy, they hwt attention and mollycoddling and showers and dont appear to anything for the actual baby like proper prenatal care or nutrition.

I could be incorrect however... Of the adult Duggar kids it is really & only John David that appears to be the one with some common sense. JD is a pilot, not a taker or loser as is his brother Josh. JD’s wife Abbie appears to be mature, kind of quiet & not seeking constant attention from IG or viewers of the TV program. Both seem to distance themselves choosing to stay in the background. Both seem to have confidence within themselves as well.
An education teaches one to think, to question, to mature, to evolve, to make decisions, to develop judgment skills. These choices threaten Jim Bob Duggar this is why he despised education for his kids & now look at the results it’s hideous.

Why are there suddenly pictures of Josh and Anna's oldest, McKenzie all over? Yes it was her birthday but is this an attempt, an unwise attempt, to put Josh's kids back in the public sphere? I feel badly for Josh and Anna's children, who are victims of their stupid parents. Those children should not reappear. Are Josh and Anna that desperate to gain public approval? Because they never will and their children will ultimately pay the price for Josh's sins.
It appears that Counting On is back to an all-Duggar show. JB and MIchelle were just BEAMING in the commercial. It looks to me like Josh and Anna will be back as well. It makes me sick to my stomach. Josh is probably desperate for money as he is NOT a hard worker. He appears lazy and self-important, which equals attention and light work. The mundane labor working a car lot is so beneath him. Some things we can just tell after all these years. Little Josie could probably put in a hard day of work easier than Josh could!!
I feel like Josh and Anna living at the compound helps them as, well, do they work? How else would they afford to live? But also that keeps babies/young kids in Michelle's house. She seems to VERY MUCH dote on the little M's more than any of the other grandchildren. As for the American Girl doll trip --- her own children get pitiful parties, all with the same ice cream sundae, and "what a little helper" post on Facebook a day or two late but then the grandkids get a $125 doll!

Josh and Anna are broke due to a series of bad choices and illegal behavior of Josh. They are living off Ma and Pa Duggar. Jimbob is trying to figure out a way to get them an income from TLC so he can give them the money legally. Otherwise, there would be a gift tax after a certain amount Josh would need to pay.
I’ve also noticed the Jimbob and Michelle are inching their way back from and center on the show. I feel a boycott of sponsors and of the show should be happing starting next Tuesday. How soon people forget the awful things that happened to those 5 girls.
Amy posted a photo of her in the hospital! So happy she’s having a baby with medical professionals present to assist. I pray that Dr. Jill, medicine woman stays away until it’s all over with.
Jim Bob also despised education because as a student he was never equal to the task. JB barely got through HS. He shunned the opportunity of a public education & was never committed to learning. This is the reason JB is threatened by education. Not smart.

My guess is since TLC I allowing the 4 disgusting Duggar’s to return to the show I screams of desperation to come up with interesting or curious episodes.

Amy and Dillon have both posted the first pic of their baby on IG. No surprise the pic has a People Exclusive stamp on it. Well Daxton is adorable anyway. I think they will make great parents and I don't see them taking the same route as Amy's cousins. Probably 2-3 kids for them.

"Bringing up Bates" starts a new season. I wonder if JB is jealous? He probably wanted to beat Bates, by having 20 children. And their family doesn't have the dysfunction of the Duggar children.

I thought Jim Bob & Michelle were not going to be featured front & center on the "Counting On" show. From the ads it certainly looks like they are ready to have starring roles. I've never seen anything as stupid as the ad with all the pregnant girls (yes girls) with the flower rings in their hair, all about their pregnancies. If that's all you can brag about in this day & age it's pretty sad. An entire group of young women from the same family & all pregnant at the same time. What an accomplishment!
There's no way in hell that Jim Bob, Michelle or Josh & Anna, belong back on that show. I hope viewers remember the past, as their past will most certainly determine their future & Josh with all those daughters & Jim Bob predicting it will be the most popular season yet.

I wholeheartedly agree that TLC should stop trying to insinuate Jim Bob and Michelle back on the show. This program was supposed to be about the married daughters, remember? I also find it silly that in Johanna's birthday post they state that God has such an exciting future planned for Johanna. I understand parents' hopes for the futures of their children but their societal beliefs don't give this young lady and choices in it. The only approved path for her is like her sisters: young marriage to some boy-man-child and many babies to follow; cooking, cleaning and 'being available' to him. What choice is that? They really are dilusional. Sometimes, one size doesn't fit all.

I kind of think TLC is trying to recapture the glory days of "19 Kids" and pull in more money. As much as I dislike JB & M, the show seemed to do better when they were on it. I very rarely watch anymore but I can't imagine wanting to see them, Josh or even Anna anymore.

For some reason The Duggar’s think they’re pretty darn important and famous. Seriously, someone break the news to them that this is what typical people do on a daily basis and no one but possibly their immediate family cares!!!!!!
Some of the younger boys, Jason, James and Justin, were elk hunting with Austin and Joy. Hurray for Joy getting to do her outdoor activities that she loves and go with the guys. Part of that must be due to Austin agreeing to it. That is a good thing in my book. Apparently, from what I can piece together, Jana and Laura drove out to AZ from Tx and met Jim Bob and Michelle and the kids from Jackson on down, at the Grand Canyon. Michelle said John flew "them" out. Later, we see Josh and Anna took their RV out, so I would guess at least some of the little kids rode in the RV to help Anna. (That is nothing new, lol). Apparently they all went on to Jinger's and have been sightseeing L.A. I don't know who rode in the RV, who rode in the plane and who else may have been with Jana and Laura. Meanwhile, the Caldwell family, with Joe and Kendra, went camping. I would bet my right shoe that TLC was filming this trip to CA, maybe even the hunting trip, but I pray that does not mean Josh will be shown on the show.
JB and Michelle will be bad enough. Hopefully, they will have more interesting things shown this year - it should be possible to do so.

It was interesting, when JB took the family to NYC. My kids watched as they went to have pizza, one pie, for the whole family, and drank water. My kids asked if that is all they are allowed to eat?! A sliver of pizza, each.

Since when were Anna and Josh "Longtime Friends? In this article, it states that they courted for two years! Not! Anna was presented to Josh, after the girl before her bailed out. Anna is a good example of enjoying pregnancy but once the child is born she as does Jessa begins the process of passing off the kids to Jana or the younger Duggar daughters. One thing about Jill and Derrick that we haven't discussed. When he has graduated from Law School AND has passed the Bar Exam AND has a job, those will be three huge things to accomplish. Anyway, once he has a job as a lawyer, he may be making more money. However, what are they going to do for benefits? I know a few lawyers families and the wives usually work JUST for the insurance. What are they going to do about insurance? Right now, they may qualify (and this is speculation) for either a student plan or a government plan, but that will not be the case when he makes more as an attorney. But again, the thing is I can't see him actually working as a lawyer. He's too wishy-washy and has changed his life plan way too often.
Jill is just floundering. I was a SAHM with boys those ages. It was so fun! Yes, it was a lot of work, but that is the job of a stay at home mom. At first when she got married, they were playing house. But I think that the fun of that game wore off a long time ago. I kind of feel sorry for her and all of the Duggar kids. They will never be really grown up and on their own.
Where I live law firms offer insurance benefits. Self-employed lawyers would be like anyone else who is self-employed and probably looking the government plans.
A niece & nephew of mine are attorneys & their firms provide insurance. Both are receiving excellent benefits.
Jill is a clustered mess. She has no good background in which to access as her parents never provided an education but only taught that her choice in life would be to grow up & be a wife & a Mom.

RE:Bee's comment about Abbie's hair. I could never believe from the first time I saw a picture of her, that she was a nurse that was allowed to care for patients with her hair looking so greasy & as if it's never seen a brush. I am a nurse & believe me the hospital's can be pretty strict about your personal hygiene & how you dress. You know how you are expected to keep your hair etc. when you take a job as a nurse so it's not an infringement on your personal rights. I also had an experience of someone visiting me & bringing a friend whose hair looked like Abbie's. You can imagine how upset I was when I realized she had left a grease stain on my living room chair by resting her head there. I think of that every time I see Abbie's greasy looking hair. Wonder what her wedding veil looked like after she wore it? She must leave grease stains every where she rests her head. Abbie there are plenty of good shampoos in the stores & a good comb & hairbrush wouldn't hurt either. All I can think of is that hair, brushing against her infants face.
I think part of the problem with Abbie's hair may be that she's using curl enhancement products on it. I've found that many of them make my hair look greasy even though I washed it just before using the curl product. It can take a lot of trial and error to find a product that doesn't do that and also figuring out how little product to use to get curl definition without freeze and not look like a greaseball.
I say hey Abbie go back to straight hair as it will be easier to groom & maintain.
123 re Jill in part I agree. However she’s a stay at home Mom with 2 young boys. She doesn’t maintain a clean home & most of the day she’s on social media, IG. Perhaps someone outside of the Duggar family could teach Jill some time management skills she definitely needs them. I just don’t feel sorry for Jill. I think it's good for Lauren to grieve now,as there is such a thing as delayed grief.It happens when one does not properly grieve a death at the time it happens.It can come back to strike later.I know a lady who went through this,and she went to a psych who explained it to her.So it does happen,and it all made sense to her then.
This is why it isn't always a good idea to get pregnant again soon after a loss.It helps to be able to properly let go first.A new baby isn't necessarily going to cure the loss of another.So better for Lauren and Si both to grieve now,than to have to deal with it later.Just a thought
Lauren has been very publicly grieving since the announced the miscarriage not long after it happened. She brings it up regularly on social media frequently just as someone else announces news. She appears to use it to seek attention and even had a cake for the miscarriage at her shower for the current pregnancy. These are not the things your average person does.
I believe every woman & her husband who have suffered a miscarriage, are certainly entitled to deeply grieve that loss. However, just how much is constantly done publicly is another story. To have a cake for the miscarriage at your baby shower, seems beyond a reasonable thing to do. I would worry a great deal about how she will handle her "second child" when it's born since she is putting so much of her energy into her grieving. I understand delayed grieving but Lauren is so young, it seems she can only handle thinking about the this miscarriage & is not going to allow anything let her enjoy the birth of her new baby. Will there always be a birthday parties & various celebrations every year for the child she miscarried? I think she needs professional help & soon before she has her baby.
This is my take on Josiah and Lauren: They are both very gentle souls and have always been told what to think and what to feel and now when real life hits they are on the struggle bus. Josiah is the middle-est of the middle Duggars and he is too afraid to be himself--whatever that means for him. He is constantly seeking his father's approval and acceptance but we all know he will never get it. Is he close to any of his brothers? He can't even take his wife out on a sunday afternoon picnic without feeling like he has to do it on church property. Every single thing he does is somehow connected to God, church, the Duggar family or the tv show. His entire life has been taken over by feelings of obligation toward someone or something. Josiah is a smart guy. He and Lauren could and should break away from the cult and it's expectations. He probably can't even go out in public without be recognized, pointed out or stared at. Thanks for nothing Jim Bob, you have ruined your kids' lives in every possible way. I feel especially bad for Josaih for some reason.
Kendra is now at full term. I’m pretty confident she’ll have another hospital setting birth, coached by her awesome mom. I hope she has an easy l&d and Joe keeps the Duggar women (cough -“all about me” Mechelle & Dr. Jill, no-medicine woman) at bay. Regarding Mazei's comment regarding the Gothard "religion" being a cult. You are 100 percent correct about that! When people follow the rules of a man (or woman) and not the bible, that is exactly what it is. Cult's use brainwashing and mind control and that is exactly what the Duggars and Bates do....and it is what was done to them. So much of what they do and believe is NOT biblical and much of what is is taken out of context. When you dive deep into this cult, you will find that much of what they believe is no different than the FLDS which also objectifies women and gives men complete control over them. The only difference with the Gothard cult is that at least they wait until the girls are of legal age before the fathers start picking husbands for them. I followed the blog of another family that knows the Duggars and stopped reading when their oldest daughter turned 18 and they did this long post about her and all of her attributes etc. It was very obvious to me that they essentially were putting her on the "auction block" for possible suitors. My heart literally breaks for the kids who are born into this cult and are brainwashed from the day they enter this world. They cut off from the outside world (like many other cults), brainwashed, and taught that their "religion" is the only true religion. Even if the women marry and start wearing pants etc., they do so only if their husband agrees with that. I also don't believe for a minute that them wearing dresses/skirts when they are visiting their parents (or parents visiting them) is out of respect. I think it is out of fear........I think that JB ruled that family with an iron fist and those girls, even as adults, have a fear of him. I know this is long, but I also had to add my thoughts regarding Josh and Anna and how that situation was handled. So much responsibility for the male's behavior is put on the women. I still remember the whole "nike" situation.....where it was the girls responsibility to alert the boys if they saw anything inappropriate so that the boys could look away. That training starts at such a young age, that it is ingrained in those women that they are to keep their husband satisfied in all areas.....and if their husband strays, it must be their fault. That is so wrong and I hate that Anna has probably carried the guilt for what Josh did. Josh (and all men for that matter) are solely responsible for their actions. It is not the girls that Josh molested fault that he did that to them, just like it is not Anna's fault that Josh cheated on her. The whole situation makes me sad for the kids, and now their kids as they truly believe that they have no choice in how they live.

I am confused. As I recall earlier when 19K show began Michelle had pre natal care with a female Doctor & gave birth in a hospital. Then suddenly when the Duggar girls got married & pregnant they began having home births & wasn’t clear if they had pre natal care? I think some had a dula (sp). Was it JB & M who suddenly decided the Duggar girls should begin having home births? I think choosing to avoid pre natal care is playing a dangerous game with an unborn child. It’s very selfish & not smart. These Duggar women & their spouses need to get on board with health insurance for their families.

I believe she 100% suppressed anger & had no way to express it because JB & Papa Keller forced Anna to forgive & not leave Josh. After that point even though Anna continued to have children with Josh she appears unhappy & drawn. I also believe Anna will never again trust Josh. About Michaela Bates & spouse Brandon I think Michaela seems to be one who is mature & definitely wants a child. I feel sorry for her she has a kind nature. Sad that’s she’s experiencing difficulty with becoming pregnant. Often she seems a bit depressed.
Actually the Duggars & Bates really don’t live in the world of reality. They’ve chosen to isolate themselves & pretend. Their way of life specific to the kids is a disaster. The Duggar’s preventing the extended college opportunity for their adult daughters is cruel. Choosing rather to turn the Duggar adult daughters into broodmares. I really hope each adult Duggar daughter will eventually wake up & realize their parents have done a tremendous disservice to them.
TLC disconnected Derick & Jill so it makes no sense that Derick would ask TLC or expect them to pay for medical bills. One would think Derick was smarter than that. I mean the guys in law school. Geez.
I follow Alyssa Bates on Instagram and recently she spent a week watching some additional kids. I know that she and her husband have been dealing with some medical issues for her (two heart ablations) and I am sure have been told to put any thoughts of more children on hold until they know for sure if this second ablation has worked, but she made a comment on her Instagram after watching the additional kids that "three is definitely my limit for now". I think that many times these girls go into marriage and childbearing thinking that it will be "easy" because they themselves come from mega families and have experience as "sister moms". However, it is a whole different ballgame when they are your children, and you (like Alyssa) live away from family and don't have sisters etc. to rely on for help. Being responsible for your own children 24/7 is a whole different ballgame.

The focus and extreme amount of energy put in to 'no pants' is a huge distraction to the actual Self and improvement and evolution of the Self.
If mooch and Him put as much energy into actually raising their kids and being an actual parent i.e.REAL WORK then everyone situation would be very different.

If a parent has to rely on sisters to routinely help you out with managing you own children, you have too many children to properly take care of YOURSELVES. This is a concept that these people don't seem to understand.
Thurs night watched BUB one of the most boring episodes. Why is Carlin always so Loud?? Turned down volume of TV which wasn’t loud. Carlin needs to learn how to engage in social conversation.
Carlin is now married & expecting 1st child & desperately needs to grow up. Here we go again children raising children.
Carlin needs to learn manners, how to stop being disruptive & definitely needs a FILTER. She’s such a child.
I’ve observed Carlin is always looking around to see who’s looking at her. I thought Jessa was more so the one seeking attention however regarding seeking attention Carlin tops Jessa.
I say since Jim Bob is so obsessed about his daughters never to wear pants he should put on a skirt or a dress.
I think the reason these Duggar & Bates women want children immediately after their weddings goes back to the Gothard method of brainwashing, restricting women & female children it’s basically Cult behavior. Bring as many children into this sick Cult as possible.
Re:Size's comment Yes Michelle did go to an OB/GYN, Dr. a female Dr. Sarver. It was mentioned a couple of times that she had 2 home births because the babies came so quickly. Other than that, she had hospital births. When Anna became pregnant with her first child she also went to the same Dr. Sarver that Michele went to. As a matter of fact, once they both had appointment same day/same time with the same Dr. When Anna went into labor & they called Dr. Sarver, she was out of town so Josh said why don't we try a home birth. Most of the Duggar family was in Big Sandy & Michelle & 1 of the girls got on a plane to fly home to be with Josh & Anna. Jim Bob seemed very surprised when Josh said they were going to have a home birth & said they would pray for them (now he's saying all the time lets hope for a home birth)But Anna & Josh's baby was the first home birth. & 1st. I guess in that family what one does the others need to do. However, before MacKenzie's birth, it was never ever mentioned that it was a "tradition" in the Duggar family to have home births.
I don’t believe home births is a smart plan. Even though a Doula or another care giver may be present. They aren’t Doctors. Too many things could go wrong. In the past when Anna gave birth to 1st child & JB learned about the home birth I think the light in his pathetic head went on & $$ signs meaning no hospital birth so no costs incurred. For JB anything to save a $$$.
Re:Sparkey's comment. I agree that the dim light in Jim Bob's head went off after Josh & Anna had a home delivery. In addition to no medical cost, he probably thought a home birth would increase viewership & since he's expecting 200 grandchildren it would be beneficial. People do seem interested in these home birth's regardless of, or perhaps because of the possibility of some type of medical disaster. We've seen over the yrs. that most viewers love a train wreck of some type. To me there's nothing more precious than a healthy baby & healthy mom. Someday there will be a tragedy. Imagine one of those young women, or her child not surviving a home birth. I wonder if Lauren is having GOOD prenatal care & will deliver in a hospital?
To I Remember.. Actually I don’t believe JB cares about the health of the Moms during the pregnancy or delivery of the baby. His focus is to fool viewers that’s he’s this upstanding Christian guy & he’s not. JB’s mission is will always be the almighty $$$$.
I don’t understand how executives & staff of TLC can tolerate the jerk Jim Bob Duggar. He’s always a laughing stock & incorrect about almost every topic.
Both Jill & JoyAnna planned home births however both underwent a C-section. Jill twice. I believe Joy’s C-section may have been an emergency? This is why pre-natal care is such a must it’s just a smart way to manage the health of the Mom & unborn child. I mean this is the 21st century so many excellent professional & medically trained people working within a hospital environment to provide care for Mom & baby.
Home births not a very safe or sterile environment. So glad I had hospital births & excellent care. I believe Kendra & Lauren will probably have hospital births as Kendra did with 1st child Garrett.
Even a good midwife should be able to palpate the baby's body and tell if it's in a head down position.That Jill and Joy's midwives couldn't tell that speaks volumes about their prenatal care,imo.And I don't believe that Jill's 9 lb baby 'flipped' atthe last minute,necessitating a c section.Very unlikely

About Jim Bob wanting 200 grandkids.. I don’t believe the Duggar girls will have 19 plus kids. However since Anna is the one most clueless & on her way to baby #6 she will probably continue to have more children basically to please Jim Bob & Michelle. Anna always seems to seek approval. The fact that Anna will probably continue to have more children is nuts especially since her creepy husband Josh has no means of a solid income & must rely on Daddy Dearest to provide. I mean Josh & Anna don’t really have a decent home as they live in the “guest” house on the Duggar compound. TLC & Counting On will not last long term no TV program does. Josh needs to further his education & find a Real Job. Re kids.. I think Jill with 2 kids may be done as well as Jessa with 3 kids?
Also in Arkansas I am surprised that Jim Bob was ever elected to office.. what were voters thinking? When Jim Bob ran again he lost the election by a huge number of votes. Guess voters woke up & realized Jim Bob was a Wolfe in Sheep’s clothing.
OMG wasn’t aware that Jill & Joy’s midwives couldn’t determine the position of their baby’s. That’s scary & playing a gambling game also selfish. Why would these women engage in that behavior with an unborn child? Where’s their brain & sense of decency? Was JB again orchestrating the births of these babies? He’s an idiot.

Kendra felt like a "failure" for not cleaning the house? Or cooking dinner for her husband is every night? Hmm, it seemed to me that the standard of cooking dinner in the Duggar household is a can of chicken, mixed with a can of cream of chicken soup topped with tater tots. Not too tough to manage. And I will refrain from the standard of "cleanliness" in the Duggar family. I am sure that just throwing away dirty diapers and actually doing dishes meets or exceeds the "standards".
Sara, not clear if “guest” house was correct however it’s the same structure as the place where Abbie & the girls held Abbie’s wedding dress shopping or fitting. Hope this helps.
Why would Derick or Jeremy even care if their wives wear shorts or pants? They didn’t grow up in the fundie Cult. So these 2 are either progressive or regressive. With their education I don’t believe either one is intimidated by the goofball Jim Bob.
Geez Michelle is only capable of cooking one recipe the horrible & unhealthy tater tot casserole & she’s gone in record stating a clean house is not that important.
