Just a random observation to get us started in 2020. Has anyone noticed how much Michelle Duggar holds Josie? She always has, although none of the other children were ever allowed that privilege. It seems that Josie, because of her health problems, was the only child Michelle ever truly enjoyed. Never had time to enjoy any of the others.
Ah, well. I'm sure the second generation of housemaids is going strong at the compound. I just wonder what Jill's buddy group thinks about her not being allowed to come in the house.

There was speculation that when Derick was working at Walmart and left after a short time that it was because he took off way too much time to go be with the Duggars as they went around filming.
JB seems to have almost forced Derick to have that mouth work done and that has to have been torture and would make it hard to work. Do you think Walmart let him go? If so, if that looks bad on his resume, maybe that is why he is upset with JB.
Then JB seems to have led Derick to believe that he HAD to be there to film "for the ministry" and maybe he lost his job over that. If he is filming because JB insisted and he lost his livelihood....yet JB is not helping them out, then I could certainly see why Derick is upset with JB.
Ugh, that smug Jessa. So she watched a few videos on cutting hair and now she’s a YouTube sensation?? Give me a freakin break. To be honest, she cuts little Spurgeon’s hair so strange he looks very feminine. And I couldn’t even tell the difference in the after picture. Jessa is so full of herself. Derick and Jill are on fire! I can only speculate as to what is going on and why so many Duggar family members, inlaws and extended family members are distancing themselves from Jim Bob (and/or Josh) and the herd. Legal trouble? Shady dealings? Or maybe just the truth about a LOT of things finally coming to light?
I don't know if Derick is correct when he says that JB was being shady, withholding money from them all but I wouldn't be at all surprised...and that thought is COMPLETELY disgusting! That was fine when the kids were all living (and eating) at home, but half of them moved away years ago. Also, how is it that Michelle is okey dokey with JB preventing Jill from coming home? She sure didn't have a problem confronting that controlling man when sweet Joshie was acting out.
Mia - Can you tell us who else is distancing themselves from Jim Bob? I haven't heard about this and am very curious. Thanks. I have read a lot of things about Jill and Derick but haven't seen anything about anyone else. I do think, just on instinct, that there must be something else up or Derick wouldn't suddenly feel free to expose his thinking. There is also the investigation of the car lot that we still don't know about yet. Everything seems a little quiet lately from the Duggars and the Bates. Maybe I am over-thinking it.
Willow it seems that Derick & Jill are really chummy with Amy King and her husband now. Amy has recently been quoted as saying that she is a KING (not a Duggar) and so is her baby. Sounds like distancing to me. Also, at the time of the car lot investigation the Duggar son who is running for office (sorry I don't know his name at the moment) was questioned about what was going on. He stated that HE didn't know because he didn't live there anymore. Again, was he distancing himself? And if you'll remember, most all of the adult Duggars were making themselves scarce around the time that
officials were snooping around the compound. I just wonder what is going on.
Since this show began Jim Bob & Michelle with limiting their children while they were growing up in that stupid Gothard Cult only have themselves to blame if their adult kids are putting distance between the relationship with the Duggar parents. Jim Bob’s Greed I am sure is a factor. Jim Bob always tours himself as a saintly Christian yet he worships $$$ & is greedy & selfish with the finances related to his adult kids who appear on the show Counting On. I also believe the adult Duggar kids now see the Duggar Dad for who he truly is & they’ve lost respect & trust. I also hope the adult Duggar kids have lost their fear of Jim Bob he’s a joke & no one should ever fear this poor excuse for a man.

I believe that both Derick & Jeremy have influenced their wives as to the true realistic behavior of the Duggar Dad. Perhaps this is one of the reasons the distance is growing.

I personally don't think Michelle deserves to have a baby - besides Jill of course - named after her and I am SO tired of the name Grace - but I like John and Abbie and taken on its own, Grace Annette is a very pretty name. I wish them all the best with their adorable baby.

I 100% feel the Duggar clan read all the snarky comments about themselves. Probably the reason JD, the PILOT, didn’t give baby Grace an aviation themed name.
It’s been quite awhile since the in-law family’s (Swanson’s, Vuolo, Keller & Caldwell) or Bates extended family have visited, posted photos or even mentioned the Duggar clan on social media. The Duggar empire is tarnished once again and the wisemen are staying the hell away.
I don’t believe the Caldwell’s, Keller’s, Swansons, Vuolos, Bates or Abbie’s family want to be near this toxic Duggar mess.
While Jana does seem defensive of Jb,she is also still living under his roof,so it's possible he's the one behind her praise comments of him.Jmo
Happy 30th Birthday Jana Duggar! My wish for you is to have your own bedroom, preferably in your own apartment far away from Duggarland. One can only hope.
It will be interesting to me, as a nurse myself, to see if Abbie ever returns to nursing. Most of the young women I've worked with not only work quite far along in their pregnancy but often have plans to return to work after the birth of the baby. It's a profession that is flexible in the shift hours. So many, especially will work the 3-11 shift a coupe of days a week, because they only need a babysitter for a few hours in the afternoon before their 3p.m. shift begins, then usually their hubby will take over from the babysitter until they get home. Also I know I worked many 11p.m.-7a.m. shifts & didn't need a babysitter at all. Of course, if they work more than 16 hours a week it would entitle them to medical benefits, vacation, sick time, as well as a pension in many cases. Not only can you make a decent paycheck but you will be able to keep up with all the advances in medicine if you continue to work at least a few hours a week. In this day & age things change quickly in the medical field. I know Abbie said she had extremely severe morning (all day really) sickness, actually ending up in the emergency room, so I understand why she didn't work while pregnant. I wonder if she has an AR license? If you go too long without changing your license to another state you will need to take refresher courses. To change your license, basically it's just apply to the stae you're living in & pay the fee. I hope she doesn't give up her license.

Apparently, Josh and Anna with their children, went to Florida for Christmas. Apparently, Josh is on outs with JB, due to the Department of Homeland Security raid and investigation into his real estate operations.

I really hope Jill has been able to get some kind of decent counseling for her childhood trauma. If she goes to someone for just one thing - abuse by her brother. I am sure she will start seeing other abuse as well. She needs to set boundaries and maybe that is what is happening in her life.

I think JBob and Michelle might have seen the possibility of bringing 'good Christian' values into the public's home via their television show in the beginning. BUT...
I just wonder at what point it became more about fame and money. If they were honest, they'd be able to admit the reason for filming has changed and might actually stop it themselves if they could see the damage it has caused in their children's lives.

Well at least 3 of the 7 deadly sins is part of Jim Bobs daily life as we know it.
This family will NEVER stop filming, blogging, taking selfies, instagramming, twitter tweeting, you name it. They are fundie grifters and I don't say that lightly as I am a Christian. But this is what fundies like the Duggars DO. If they spot the tiniest opportunity to make money they jump on it. It is why all the girls are in a competition to put the most out there.
On that note I have an observation. I think that Jana and Jessa are especially loyal to Jim Bob and Michelle and the way they were raised (as fundies). IMO, JILL is the one who is pulling away more than any of the others, probably thanks to Derick. Jinger has done the same but to a lesser degree, probably thanks to Jerem . It will be interesting to see if any of the brothers begin to pull away.
I am Christian, and absolutely appalled and disgusted by the way Jill, Jessa, would "pose" when they were pregnant, constant selfies, prominent with tight, definitely immodest clothing. It was offensive to me. "NIKE" indeed.
The fact that this family continues to spout Christianity as their mission for their weirdness is also repugnant. JB has some very strange ideas, that are not "Christian", but he has proclaimed them as such. It is blasphemous.
Mickey2942; great post about the immodest photos the expectant Duggars post publicly. I agree that many of their SOCIAL beliefs are not Christian beliefs. I equate being pregnant and wearing those tight spandex tops that don't fit to be like an overweight person wearing clothing that is 3 sizes too small. Not a good look IMO. Wear clothing that fits when pregnant. That would be in good taste and also modest.

I’m amazed at the silly things the Duggar family posts thinking that they are sharing earth-shattering advice. Just saw that Jinger posted somewhere that being a parent causes long days and sleepless nights. Like “ duh” as if every person who has ever been a parent doesn’t figure that out in the first 24 hours of being a parent. Do they really think they are relevant in this world that has so many more important things to worry about. I really should get a life and stop clicking on Duggar bait.
I’m wondering what’s up with Jeremy and Jinger’s house that they 1. Rarely if ever post pictures of them eating at their LA house. 2. Rarely if ever share photos besides in the kitchen and maybe sofa area of their house 3. Never share anything about the outside setting of their home. Is it located in a seedy part of town? Is it less than what Jeremy would want to live in or lower than his standard? Something is definitely off with all the “eating out again” photos. What are they hiding?
Also, I don’t like how Felicity is fussy and they don’t feed her. Something is off with that, too.
We are all aware the only reason the Duggar’s go to El Salvador is to separate Catholics from their faith. If the Duggar’s weren’t ignorant about the Catholic faith then perhaps they would gain some respect. However the Duggars are Book Lazy & will never learn about the Catholic faith. I am a Catholic & insulted the Duggar’s believe we are idol worshipers. The Duggar’s ignorance is profound. The Catholics are not in a Cult as are the Duggar’s & the Bates.
While pregnant wearing tight fitting clothing is not Christian or modest it’s probably uncomfortable as well. While pregnant the Duggar women appear to be obsessed with growing bellies they feel the need to show off their conditions as a way of bragging about the physical relationship with their spouses. It’s their odd way of believing they are the only women on the planet who can show off a pregnancy. It’s kind of a sick & immature way to behave.

He never mentions it anymore, that I have seen in awhile, and I think that is strange since that was what he was all about before he came to Los Angeles. It seems everything is staged and phony now and so odd.
It is the only source of self esteem that these gals have. That is the absolute tragedy.

So, what exactly is the status of Jeremy’s seminary school progress? Did he drop out? I feel that he’s being very deceptive and vague about his degree. Unlike Derick, who is up front and honest about law school, finals, what he does on breaks, actual photos of class, locker, library and mentions friends he’s met in class. Jeremy doesn’t do ANY of this but is willing to share what he eats 24/7. And frankly, I can see why his suit pants and coat were busting at the seam because of all the restaurant food he chows down on all the time. Something is very shady about Jeremy. Just saying.
Wow, just saw a group picture of the 4 new moms and their babies in an US exclusive. The first things that jump out: 1. Jessa’s baby is so swelled up or bloated looking and the skin tight outfit makes it look worse 2. Jessa looks like the only one still carrying a bunch of pregnancy weight even though she had her baby months before the other women 3. Lauren is showing some major knee there. Nike! 4. Abby might be wearing black pants. I can’t quite be sure though
By the number of IG posts and YouTube videos the Duggars are posting, I’m betting the show is being canceled or put on the back burner until the whole HLS investigation is complete.
If & when the Duggar’s Show is not renewed very soon people will forget about them just as they’ve done with other reality shows or shows in general. People will look forward to the next new program & they will move on. Duggar’s are not memorable.

Just read that Anna's sister Priscilla (who is again pregnant) and her husband David Waller, their four children, and Anna's brothers Nathan and David are in Zambia visiting Anna's sister Esther and her husband and their 11 children. Oh, and Esther is currently pregnant with number 12. All I can say is WOW! I wonder if they will do anything there besides preach to the people of Zambia.

If Jim Bob & Michelle hadn’t been such controlling & selfish parents their adult daughters could have been so much more vs early marriages & quick pregnancies. With a college education there is no limit to what these girls could have accomplished. However from birth each was Programmed to marry early & to have as many children as possible. Its not easy to have a job and work to support yourself and your family. However, I think the Duggars are missing the satisfaction and self-esteem that it gives a person. Having faith in yourself instead of others is, in my opinion, actually easier in the long run. I think it also gives you a sense of empathy for others. IMO. Its not all the kids' fault, though, but hopefully they may learn it throughout their lives. I think Austin has a leg up on this issue.

The Keller’s in Zambia promoting the Gothard Cult will be a mission that will not be successful. Once they leave Zambia the people of that. Country will remain with their original faith or no faith. The purpose of the Keller & Duggar trips to these foreign countries is just self serving to make themselves feel superior & as a vacation. I am not convinced they are sincere. Far from it!

I am not necessarily against all missionaries, in general; however, I am against anything "Gothard", And may I add that I would never dream of traveling to Africa while pregnant like Priscilla Waller did. I think they traveled to Israel when she was pregnant with her first son as well. Maybe there was some reason they HAD to go then or never (to Africa). Who knows. Maybe I am just the worry-wart type. My dad just taught us to not take chances unnecessarily. He used to always say "If you don't want to get hit by a Mack truck, don't stand in the middle of the freeway". But I digress. lol

David took Priscilla to Australia when pregnant as well.And I think she was also ice skating while pregnant,and David had her hiking to the bottom of a ravine while pregnant as well.
She seems to be pretty tough,but I would have to say NO to all of those while pregnant.
Her sister Esther moved to Africa while pregnant,and she's given birth to 3-4 of their kids there,with midwife care at home.Not something I would go along with,either.Jmo
Re: Bates girls college
The Bates girls' college is "approved" careers for women. Being a nurse or teacher isn't too far out there for IBF/ATI people. They don't get to live away from home. And it seems all that education goes out the window when they marry. Josie announced "retired" and she's barely 20 and got a baby. I doubt if Erin gets to teach piano now with 4 kids. Micheala Bates Kielen doesn't seem to be lazy. She was already doing quilt/blanket things for babies. Having no kids myself, I feel badly for anyone infertile who wants kids, but it could cause her to seek other opportunities and I hope nursing opens her eyes like law enforcement gave Zach a different view though they may not do a 180.
