I've been wondering why they haven' shown an episode about Grandma Duggar's death. I'm sure the low number of viewers is why, at this point in time there will now be an episode focusing on her illness, death & funeral. Jessa of course, will be narrating the entire episode, with help from JB & Michelle, they must make sure they get their fair share of film time. Got to keep those viewer numbers up, even if it requires sinking low enough to show Grandma Duggar's funeral. They did it with Grandpa Duggar & of course, also with Jubilee. There are no such words as "too low" or "inappropriate" in the Duggar's vocabulary. The numbers must be worrying them, so time to show the death & funeral of another family member.

Always liked Grandma Duggar she always appeared calm & grounded. However her son JB just an idiot who has limited his kids in every aspect of life.

Sorry but Jinger going blonde does nothing for her it actually fades her complexion. The color of blonde seems dirty & minus shine.

I agree about Jinger's hair color. It does nothing for her. She clearly is a brunette and a small highlight change complimenting her brunette hair would have been much better. I also noted the hairdresser tried to encourage her to cut off more inches than she did. Now, THAT would have been a good change. Jing already commented how 'light' her hair felt. I imagine that it's a weight on her scalp and such long hair weakens the roots at the scalp due to the sheer weight of one's hair. Jinger, cut another 6 inches and give yourself a flattering hairdo with some soft layers. Her hair does nothing for her as is.

Jinger s new blonde hair color reminds me of my Grandmas old mop she used to clean her kitchen floor. Jinger should have opted for highlights she’s a pretty girl & hopefully she’ll realize this color does nothing for her looks.

Watched service for Mary Duggar. Why does TLC continually focus on Jessa? Jessa is I’m almost every single camera episode. Jessa is not interesting there’s nothing remarkable about Jessa. So will someone please explain why TLC has this fascination with Jessa?

This was such a sad service. I thought it strange they didn't show Deanna, Mary's daughter or cousin Amy, who was perhaps closer to Grandma Mary than ALL the grandchildren. It's like they were excluded entirely as if their grief was unimportant.

Bee, I’m no fan of Jessa but I noticed Jana’s and Jinger’s speech patterns seemed more ...stilted, had more hesitations, stop-and-go between every few words in sentences. I never noticed that before, but last night it started to get on my nerves. Again, no fan of Jessa but her speech pattern seemed more natural, it flowed better. I’d like to see less of Jessa dominating every scene but I wish the other girls spoke more naturally during the TH segments. Just my thoughts.

Yes very odd Mary’s daughter Deanna & granddaughter Amy were ignored. This may have been a plan of Jim Bob as he wouldn’t have been one to shun his sister & niece regardless of the situation.

I read that the reason Amy wasn’t featured was at Amy’s request

Amy posted that all people grieve different and didnt want to be shown on camera.

Why was grandma Dugger allowed to live in that house alone & go swimming in the pool, when she had already had two strokes? She was a smart woman & you wouldn't think she would take a chance like that, even if she wanted to live by herself now. But swimming when there's nobody around when you've have already had 2 strokes doesn't make sense. I can understand that at this point in her life she might have wanted to live by herself, as she often lived with either JB's family or Deanna. As a nurse, I wouldn't want my mom living alone with access to a swimming pool.

Snoo,

"Again, no fan of Jessa but her speech pattern seemed more natural"

Or Jessa is just more "rehearsed".

They brought this episode up to actual time but they didn’t address Joy’s miscarriage. Are they going to wait all the way until 2020 to do that?

Ann: You’re probably correct. Wish the other girls would be more “rehearsed.”

The footage of Mary Duggar in this episode showed me that she was not the same and had taken a few steps down. In one scene with those silly 'bohemian photo shoot/pregnancy' dresses, she looked quite confused as if trying to follow the conversation. She was simply ignored by the others. It was clear to me that she should have not been alone and certainly not around a swimming pool. Did they not notice?

I knew the number of viewers would increase with Grandma Duggars funeral shown. I'm sure JB orchestrated that it be shown ASAP,since viewership has been way down. Even the birth episodes are down. Guess when you've seen one birth, you've seen them all. JB must be waiting or the next tragedy, (death) to help his wallet. Very sad way to live.

I have to admit Joe and Kendra are actually quite sweet together. He seems to be fairly level headed and supportive of her. They make quite a nice team even though they are so young. As for Lauren and Josiah, whew, what on earth did he do to deserve her?! He was always so fun and full of life and jokes and she is SO dramatic and whiny. Hopefully that long labor will slow down her desire for pregnancy/delivery and she will take time to truly enjoy Bella.

JB is probably already checking the calendar to ensure that he has plenty of pregnancies to help with ratings next season. Michelle was having a new baby consistently every 12 months once the show started.
