I would love to know how much merchandise the Bates Sisters Boutique actually sells. Erin, Whitney, and Carlin own it but I think it's interesting that 2/3 of them do not dress that way in real life anymore. Both Whitney and Carlin share on Instagram (and Carlin on YouTube) COMPLETELY different fashion choices than they share in the boutique. I am actually honestly surprised that unless it's an actual picture for the BSB Facebook page or website they RARELY appear in that clothing.
Other social media figures/stars who have their own clothing line wear it constantly! They rarely post without being a walking ad for their own line.
Proof that the Bates are not as educated or worldly as they would like us to believe. If they were, they would know the basics of branding. I also think it speaks volumes about the quality and fashion of their clothing - THEY don't even want to wear it
The Bates girls think themselves to be fashion icons. They would never wear the boxy, cheaply made frocks they claim to love and sell. What they love is the money it brings them by their silly 'fans' who think they are sharing something with the Bates daughters....which they are not.
I also saw the remark Clair Duggar made about the Duggars & "I"s" families have known each other for over 20 years. It's like chalk on a blackboard. Don't they ever pick up correct English from other people they are around, or is it because they remain so isolated within their own extremely limited groups? Can you imagine someone answering the phone in a business office with these type of communication skills? Of course, I realize it's not the fault of the children in these families, it falls on the shoulders of those that homeschooled them. We know Michelle believes her children have been highly educated by her, even if they haven't successfully obtained their GED. It's difficult to hear her say they can obtain a GED if they want to but it's not really necessary. Yes it is necessary, to at the very least have a GED, if you plan to move on in your educational process. Guess that tells us this is definitely not the plan.
When we think of all the Duggars kids following in Jim Bob's & Michelle's footsteps, almost all the boys work for Jim Bob. The girls due exactly what they were taught to do, remain home & produce baby after baby.Years ago children followed in the footsteps of parents & grandparents, by remaining on the family farm & weren't we fortunate that they did. We certainly needed that, during the depression & after various wars. People often say when comparing the Duggars keeping their kids home to work for Jim Bob, it's no different than the farmers who kept their kids on the farm. Well yes it is,the entire country benefited from families who continued to work the farms. However when the Duggars kids follow in their father's footsteps, they are following what Jim Bob is contributing to himself via real estate, flipping homes, having the kids do chores around his own home, mowing the grass & of course selling cars. This is not contributing to the country at large, or anyone outside the Duggar compound,as the farmers did years ago & still are, Thank God. As a matter of fact, they are only contributing to lining Jim Bob's pockets. That's why it's such a waste to think that at least some of theses kids, if they had had the proper educations, perhaps college or technical school, could have contributed to helping others & not just Jim Bob & Michelle. I know a young man who didn't attend college, but did attend a technical school who has done some incredible work on the COVID 19 Vaccine. What in the world was the point of TLC dragging the entire Duggar family around the world to learn about other cultures. More than half of those kids were too young to even absorb any culture, or educational value of those trips. although I question if that was truly the purpose of the trips. Was it just a vacation for Michelle & Jim Bob & ratings for TLC?
Mimmi,I'd go with ratings for TLC.Tv is all about money.Jim Bob knows that, too. He refuses to own a tv,yet has n/p being on a tv show.Go figure
I have often wondered why none of the Duggars have gone into the military or National Guard. Of course, the "homeschooling" GED is a barrier.
There is nothing wrong with technical education. Josh would definitely benefit from some vocational counseling. Great, the sons work in construction on flipping houses. That is not the same as getting a journeyman plumbing license or becoming an electrician. The difference is dependence on JB and actual financial independence.
I hear people from all walks of life with education speak like this. My daughter’s professor said “shooken” in virtual class. Twice!
I agree with Sandi & Mickey2942 comments. Everything involves the good old dollar when it comes to Jim Bob. We will never see any of those kids in any branch of the military, or any other place where they might learn to think for themselves.I've often thought that if those kids could work on all those houses Jim Bob has, then why don't they use their experience, as well as some technical schooling and become licensed electricians or plumbers? They also know how to do roofing & lay tile etc. They could then support their own families instead of depending on Jim Bob, which is exactly what he wants. He doesn't want any of those kids to be independent.
I just wonder why there have been no pictures of baby Evangeline who is around 4 months old now. The only picture I recall seeing lately of Felicity is of her back. I know this is their business and Jeremy and Jinger can do what they want but I find it peculiar.
When the oldest daughter is a newly-wed, who takes care of the children remaining in her parents’ home?
Love that Jill and Jinger have
broken free.
If Jana does get married, time for Michelle to step it up! She the "real" mom anyway.

I have wondered the same.
Michelle won't do anything. The youngest 4 girls are now preteen/teenagers. They will be doing all the work that the older girls were doing at that age. They don't have younger buddies but will likely be stuck watching their nieces/nephews.
Claire is the oldest. The concern is about the siblings she left.
Babies tend to look alike. More interesting to see pix of Duggars still living at home.
And maybe pix of Michelle doing homeschooling and hair-braiding, cooking and cleaning. I love Michelle. She’s a good Mom.
I guess no one is lining up to pay for pics! I have no doubt that if someone offered Jeremy cash, we would see pics all over. He doesn't want to post any, for freebies.

Here we go...they found some cash.
It will be a long wait before Michelle steps up to care for the remaining kids, or the house. If fact, she'll retire before she steps up to do anything. The younger kids will be taking over. After all, they are competent. We all remember little Jordan, at about age, I'll say 3 but it could definitely have been a little younger, pushing a chair over to the sink & getting up to make instant oatmeal for her breakfast, with cold water. A couple of the boys were milling around making their own breakfast but Jordan was on her own. We never knew where Michelle was but she wasn't making breakfast.
How many years is it since we have seen Michelle homeschooling the children? The older girls did the schooling & a good deal f the cooking & cleaning for a number of years before they married & most of them married fairly young.
Sharla, sorry I didn't realize there was already an Aimee on the blog. I'll change my name, after today. I apologize to Aimee. Must be the stress from the COVID Virus.
My middle name is Lea, I'll use that from now on..
Wissman/Duggar courtship in the works?

43 days? No wonder Lauren and Josiah seem to be lukewarm.
It looks like TLC is excited...maybe Jana is finally going to be a bride?!
I feel like Justin/Claire's whirlwind wedding is the first/only time Justin's ever been featured. Poor guy was just a number in that middle group of boys - not one of the twins or Jackson. It seems he left home the first minute he could, found a gal, and got married (the only true escape from Duggarland) Here's hoping Claire is a decent gal and they have a good life away from the compound and also from her mother who just can't get enough of those other Duggar boys.
I don't see marriage at age 18 as "escape", it seems more like lifetime bandage. He will be saddled with a wife and three kids before he is 25 years old. No opportunity to make choices in his life. His life course is already done.
RE:Mickey2942 comments on Justin. When I read that post,I thought truer words were never written & yet it's one of the saddest things I've read. Those kids, and I do mean kids in their case, have locked themselves into something neither of them is prepared for...how could they be? There's a big world out there & yet Mickey's post about being saddled with a wife & 3 kids by age 25 is right on target. How can people deliberately want this for their children. Let them live free & make their own decisions. That would involve dating more than one person at that age & being exposed to what life truly has to offer. I know young marriages were frequent many years ago, especially with young people who lived & worked on farms as well as couples that married hastily due to the men going off to war.Thankfully we have moved on & young people are now free to experience college, careers, dating & truly learning about the person they are about to spend the rest of their lives with. They are not in a marriage in order to have their first kiss. Everyone of those Duggar kids have rushed into marriage to experience sex for the first time, or to flee from the Duggar compound.
I won't be surprised if, many yeas down the road, there are some Duggar divorces. Some of them were married very young, and ppl can and do change over time.Jmo
