We are one episode behind the US with the current season of counting on. I haven't watched it in a while but my goodness is it boring. I actually fast forwarded through most of it because over the past six or seven months since it was filmed there have been so many posts/blogs and updates most of it from tbe Duggars themselves and TLC there is very little new content to watch, its like watching a repeat even though you haven't seen it before, what in the hell do the fans see in it and why do TLC keep making it, surely its on its last legs??
Am I the only one that finds Jana and the howlers redecorating Michelle and Jimbob’s sin cave, oh I mean bedroom, just a bit creepy. I suppose Jana won’t be able to court/marry anytime soon since she’ll be redecorating the TTH. You probably already figured it out that half the kids are adults and married off so Jana’s work load is light enough for this mega task. And where exactly were JB &M that they left Jana, once again, to babysit the lost girls and the howlers? If they wanted all these children, why don’t THEY care, educated spend time with them???

Regarding redecorating the parents bedroom. This actually did not surprise me at all. These kids have been raised to believe that the sun rises and sets at the feet of their parents. Over the years, they have done so many things for their parents on their birthday's, anniversaries etc., and yet JB and M do these stupid, cheesy videos and take them to the same ice cream place every single time. I don't think any of these kids were ever made to feel really special until they married and left home. This is just the opposite in most "normal" homes. My husband and I raised four kids, and our lives revolved around them, not the other way around. We celebrated THEM......and made THEM feel special. That is the way it's supposed to be. The Duggars have it all backwards.

I think due to her trauma, SJD clung to the Duggars as a way to cope. She prob saw them as a perfect, Godly family and wished she had that. She tried to recreate that with her own fam, but I think she's secure in herself and that's why she doesn't emulate them anymore.

So, let’s get this straight. Jessa doesn’t cook, bake, clean, teach her children, or work to help support her family. And she keeps reproducing. I think we all need to pray she never has a daughter. Jessa’s a pretty lame excuse for a wife and mother. We will never forget the mountain of shitty diapers laying all over the mold house.
Since when did Mechelle regress back into being one of the kids that Jana has to have on her “buddy team” or Ben has to teach? We’re on to you TLC. Nobody wants a return of JB, Mechelle or Turd. Got that? One more reason to watch something else on tv.

Honestly, I do find this a bit creepy. However, since the Duggars seem to have no concept of boundaries, apparently this is perfectly acceptable. I can't imagine being Jana's age, and basically never had a moment alone in her adult life. She shares her bedroom with her little sisters, and is not allowed to go anywhere without a chaperone child.
No, I don't think that the girls can cook at all. Michelle was always pregnant, or nursing, so breakfast was probably cereal or toast, lunch PB&J or something easy. Dinner was probably making macaroni and cheese or Hamburger Helper. Cooking takes time, planning, preparation, cleaning up after, I don't see Michelle that interested in domestic duties, aside from having babies. I wonder what she does now...

Colen: I didn't check the link you provided but Sierra has her own blog and a while ago she wrote a blog post about being abused by a family friend when she was a young child. She was rebellious in her teens and dropped out of school, I think she struggled with her self worth and self image and would say she still does. I know a lot joke about her and always being pushy on the show, but I sometimes wonder if like so much of the show a lot of it was scripted scripted? She hasn't been seen on the show lately but is still friends with the older girls. I occassionally look at her instagram and she was recently at cousin Amys new store with Jessa and their other frien Kristen, so she is still in the Duggars circle.

I don't know about the show being scripted; I think there is a lot of creative editing. I saw on SJD's 'gram her kids are wearing shorts. I think she's friends with the older daughters because JB probably doesn't have them on a short leash anymore.
I figured Cousin Amy let Jessa and Sierra buy clothes from her at cost. That way she gets free advertising when it is posted all over the place. We are seeing stores closing all over the place due to Amazon, but the fans will all want to run to Cousin Amy's to buy, since they can get a picture with her and an autograph..and maybe run into one of the other reality 'stars' while there.
Ben has got to be the most useless of the Duggar family. They just cannot seem to find anything lasting for him to do. I actually feel sorry for him. He comes across as a big, dumb kid who got married too young, had kids too young and got OWNED by his controlling wife. The thing is, though, I don't see any evidence of Jessa's intelligence, either. The blind leads the blind. JB will be supporting these two for the long haul.

I just followed the link mentioned previously about Jessa being upset about pregnancy #3. I don't think she actually wrote that lengthy post. My guess is that it's drafted from someone in Public Relations for TLC. The "voice" of the writer seems a bit more sincere and well-educated than we know the Mean Girl to be. It annoys me how these articles still refer to the married sister-moms as Duggars.
I bet that Jedediah and Jeremiah may be in line to date Abbie's twin sisters. They are 23 years old.

I see zero effort on Michelle’s part to welcome and make the new daughter in laws feel special or welcomed into the clan. Zero one-on-one time with them or doing anything special for them. Maybe it’s just as well! LOL I think all the married Duggar children have nicer in-laws than their own parents....except Austin’s parents. I wouldn’t leave my dog with them.
I noticed in the Washington DC group photo that Jimbob still plants his hand on Michelle’s waistline as if he’s claiming his woman. LOL What an insecure man. And of course, Michelle’s wearing black combat boots with her skirt. Just bizarre.
I think Anna posting about child #5 being 18 months is a clue that she’s either pregnant or is trying to get pregnant with #6. I feel bad saying baby #5 but I honestly can’t remember what M name it was given. They need to switch to a different letter so it’s easier to remember.
I occassionally look at some of the Duggars instagram pages (I won't follow them or like their posts) just to see what they are up to. Yesterday after looking at Annas latest post I checked out her sister Pricilla and her husband Davids account (David is Joshs mud wrestling buddy and is something high up in ATI/IBLP), he had posted about getting free pancakes for the whole family, and called himself a cheapskate, he also posted that he tipped their servers well. However it was pointed out by a number of posters that this was actually to raise funds for a childrens cancer charity, and you were supposed to donate what you would have paid for your meal to the charity. It made me think of all the times Jimbob boasted and gloated about getting his entire family fed for free, but not thinking he was actually costing a small business a lot of money because of his cheapness. The Dillards do the same thing, and didn't John David and Abbie queue up all night for free food when they were courting? These people have no self or social awareness at all, everyone likes the occassional freebie or bargin but these people just look desperate. I wonder if JB with all his millions and fleet of planes still does it, wouldn't be surprised if he does!
Jessa & Ben had a huge list for their wedding registry. It contained gift cards for various stores, as well as restaurants. I can't believe she didn't event think of asking for a mixer. A mixer is usually a staple in the kitchen for most women, as they plan to cook & bake. I guess that wasn't a priority with Jessa. She also said she didn't have a flour sifter. Wonder if she had measuring cups & spoons?
I wonder if Jessa owns an iron and ironing board as well.Or if she knows what a sprinkler can for that looks like.Or if any of the offspring do.
It seems like Jb's way of cheapskating restaurants into feeding large families for free, is the reason many of them changed their policy to one child eats free per paying adult.Oops...there goes his wallet! LOL
Gil's sermons prove once again the Bateses aren't better. You need a subscription to view them but I found some highlights on another forum.
Gil talked Kelly out of buying a new swing set though they had the money. Someone asked him if they wanted their old swing set. Gil 'prayed' for a weed eater and magically got one from a stranger an hour later. In that case maybe I should pray for car or maybe a new house.
They didn't know the kids had prayer meetings and were fasting- A sign you got too may kids.
Gil says it's important to avoid things of the world, but I guess a TV show isn't worldly.
If your parents have a large family and small house, don't be jealous of ones who have better.
Carlin at 13 was giving tracts to people asking "You mean Jesus died for you and you can't even read the bible for minutes a day." So a 13 yr old should be telling strangers how to live? like She had been depressed at 10 not feeling good enough. Instead of getting help, she got taken to find significance in Christ and took her to a revival. That is more bothersome than anything to me.
Gil couldn't seem to get an Amen out of anyone. I apologize if it seems long but it is interesting if it seems long, but interesting how they cover the crazy like the Duggars who got away with it for a long time.
I wanted to add it seems Kelly may have been using depressed as a way to describe teen angst and sibling rivalry. They advised Carlin to not feel looks or talents and how others see you are what makes you worthy which I could agree with since most of us seek approval as teens . I wouldn't think they know a lot about mental health and hope she doesn't have an issue. But that is followed with not to do nice things to get praise from others.

I am so tired hearing and reading that Abbie has a nursing degree. I am a registered nurse with a three year BSc which I worked bloody hard for. I know things are different than here in the UK but I've been doing some reading and as far as I can see her training would not earn her a degree, so why do I keep seeing it? Is it another case of the Duggars over inflating family 'occupations' based on a few lessons in something like Jana was a concert pianist or Jinger was a professional photographer? Its infuriating for those of us with real life qualifications, but I suppose Abbie has at least qualified and registered in a legitimate profession, something none of the Duggar girls have ever managed to do.
Abbie is an LPN not a Registered Nurse. The difference is exactly what Emma mentioned in her comment. The R.N. is now & has always been, a 4yr. or sometimes 5yr. college degree program. You do 4 or 5 yrs.of college degree courses, while also studying nursing courses. You study pharmacology, anatomy & physiology, biology, in addition to regular college degree requirements, you also work on the floor of a hospital that your college is affiliated with, as a student nurse. However, the LPN, has a very limited number of yrs. or actually months of training, sometimes 10 months, sometimes 12 months depending on the school. You can see that is not a full college degree program. The LPN schools have a very few real college programs, as it is really a technical school,the type you would go to for auto mechanics, plumbing, electrician, or hairdressing, etc. I know a young woman who went through LPN training for 12 months to receive her LPN.She then was able to work UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A REGISTERED NURSE, & was able make enough money as an LPN in order to return to a college degree program to become an R.N. & earn a much higher salary. LPN training depending on the school, sometimes only requires 10 or 12 months of education, mostly hands on with a limited amount of classroom study, mostly hands on practical nursing done under the supervision of the instructors at the LPN school. You are basically a few steps above a certified nurses aid, & therefore unable to do many procedures that an R.N. can do. Most hospitals don't hire LPN'S to work in nursery's, especially NICU'S.& there are many other restrictions. So yes Abbie does have some education beyond what the other girls in the Duggar family have & she has said she worked at a nursing home, however she is not college educated, nor does she have a college degree. She has a slip of paper saying she attended LPN school for the time required, passed the courses necessary took the LPN exam & has an LPN license from the state where she resides. Again it's the Duggars inflating the family's occupations. Soon we'll hear that John is a commercial pilot for American Airlins or Delta.

Anybody know what happened to Josh and Anna and why they moved out of their house? I read somewhere that Josh didn’t have the right license to sell used cars and he hasn’t paid taxes for a few years. So did he lose the used car lot? I read he couldn’t afford the payment on his $55k house. Anyone local folks have any information? If TLC wanted rating gold, put Josh and Anna on for an hour special give ing the details of how their life has been since the horrible scandals.

There are many RN programs that only require an Associates degree. Yes, know several who have completed said programs and can provide links to programs.

RE: Murray 4. It's true there are 2 yr. Associate Degree R.N. programs. They are still not the same as the 4 yr. college degree program. Just the fact that they are an Associates Degree will confirm this. Also they are starting to be phased out in many area's of the country. The Associates is still not anything like Abbie's LPN "Diploma", it's an Associates Degree that you would receive from a Community College, not a 4 or 5 yr. College Degree" & certainly not something you recieve after 10 or 12 months of school.
There are R.N. programs at Community Colleges. However those R,N's, do not have a college degree they have an Associates Degree. You have no where near the education of the R.N. that has attended a 4yr. college.
Really? Would anyone watch an hour of Anna simpering about "prayer", and Josh, stating that "God helped him be rehabilitated".
The hypocrisy is epic. If Anna had "strayed", she would have been kicked out of the compound in a heartbeat. And Josh would already have a new bride.

The Vuolos are moving to LA. They gave an interview to People mag, and said they were relocating in July so that Jeremy can attend Grace community church to finish his masters. This is hardly a surprise after all the recent trips to LA and schmoozin with church celebs. While I can't stand their brand of christianity I am secretly pleased for Jinger as she is finally getting to live in a big city like she always wanted. I remember when Meechelle said it was really Walmart she wanted to live beside, (always crushing a dream), she is getting further away from Akansas and the tin mansion which can only be a good thing, I'm sure JimBob isn't happy about it.
Someone needs to take Jessa aside and tell her that she’s not the Queen Bee. Seriously, she’s old news. I just watched the “Jinger Has a Baby” episode and I laughed out loud when Jessa was wondering if Jinger was on to her big surprise. Seriously? The last thing Jinger was worried about or needed during labor and delivery is bossy JESSA and cling-on hubby plus two babies in diapers showing up!! It’s not about you, Jessa.
The third baby for Jessa will be the tipping point. The tiny, dirty mold house, not knowing how to cook or bake, dirty diapers everywhere, and no sister-mom to help. I pray to the baby gods that this ones another boy. I’m betting on another drama-filled, ugly groaning home birth. Not sure that’s what the viewers want to see at this point. I would be 100% okay with the Seawalds taking a seat in the back of the stinkbus.

Interesting. The Masters Seminary where Jeremy plans to attend has lost their accreditation. The tuition is $2875 a semester for Masters of Divinity.
I wonder how he is going to pay for this, and support a wife and baby.

I'm thinking that I have probably needed a good eye exam for quite a few yrs. as I am apparently one of the only people who thinks Jessa is not all that beautiful, certainly not the most beautiful of all the Duggar daughters. I don't see how anyone could think she's pettier than Jana. I also think Jinger is prettier than Jessa. I agree that Jessa has a terrible personality, always so bossy etc. I am sure that developed from someone needing to step up & run the household, since Michelle was not doing it. However that's no excuse for thinking you're the Queen Bee of the entire family & that your sister can't even have her baby unless you drag your husband & children onto a commercial plane & fly to another state spending all that money, (Spurgeon was old enough to need his own ticket) just so everyone will know you're there. Personally I wouldn't mind if my only sister showed up, but to drag a husband & two little ones into the hospital where you sister has just given birth, I felt it actually interrupted Jeremy's parents enjoying the birth of their first grandchild, when Jessa charged into the room with the stroller etc. Jessa already had plenty of nephews & we don't know if she has any nieces in Ben's family. Either way, this wasn't the first time she became an aunt & it was an intrusion, in my opinion.

It's obvious that none of the Duggars would be able to lead the lives they are currently leading without the TLC money. Jeremy and Jinger included.
The shortness of the new "Duggar TV seasons" and the sudden influx of the ladies hocking products and clothing online is no coincidence IMO. The money is less from TV and they really can't live without it. None of them are prepared for a real financial life outside of TV. Time to get moving, Duggars and get properly trained for real work.
The school Jeremy will attend teaches that there is no such thing as transgender.
JB has always been so proud of his hair but have you noticed that all the older boys have receding hair lines and not much hair?
I always wonder where they are hiding Josh and Anna and Jill and hubby during the
weddings. They do a good job of making sure they are not seen and I would imagine they are there. Yes, I too wonder how they all live when none of them work.
They are really handy though when it comes to building things!
I get the impression that Jeremy does not go along with all of the Dugger nonsense like
home births and covering your whole body clothing wise. I am sure he is glad not
to live close to them.
I'm surprised no one has commented (either here or in the episode thread) about Garrett wearing a "little brother" onesie when the Cauldwell/Duggar family was at the beach. I'm sure it was a hand-me-down, but an interesting choice on a day they knew they were filming.....

Heart of Florida - I agree with what you've said, but I also think that because these folks don't believe in the women working out of the home, it is their way of getting around that rule.
Also.....I've has anybody else noticed how all of the Bates girls are perfectly made up every single time they post things on Social Media. Perfect eyes, perfect smile etc. The pictures of their homes also look like they are out of a magazine. That is not "real life" with many little ones running around. I think it would be cool if they actually showed "real life". Their homes can't be perfect all of the time.

I realise that you can't see every wall and every picture or photo but I only see HER family on display...does Ben's extended family not qualify for the decoration? However they are not technically trained & more important, they are not licensed in things that require a license. We are always seeing them working with electricity etc. They were tossing various wires for the lights all over the pace in the hanger getting ready for John's wedding. Jana was the foreman of that construction project & I love her but decorating a plane hanger is a lot different than any work done on a home you or someone else is going to live in. I remember how young those kids were when they were handed dangerous tools, i.e. electric saws, to help J.B. with the TTH. Walking all over the place in flip lops instead of work boots. It's a wonder none of them has been seriously injured before this although I don't think Michelle considers anything like Jason's fall in the orchestra pit or Josie's seizure dangerous.
I don't think those scruffy beards the Duggar boys have all decided is trendy is all all good looking. They all look like hillbillies or backwoodsmen, although Jeremy's beard is at least neat. The rest of them don't look attractive & those beards don't cover up their rapidly thinning hair.
