Has anyone heard if the train wreck is coming to an end or will there be a season 10??

Maybe TLC should give it a break for 3-4 years and the “catching-up” shows will get high ratings.

At this point, the only thing that will bring in viewers, is Jana's courtship and marriage.

Another snore fest. We’ve seen the wedding already, seen the preparations, blah, blah, blah. When will TLC learn that viewers are sick of watching constant flashbacks of weddings. Let me guess, we’ll see flashbacks and talking heads of the following weddings: Know-it-all Jessa, exhausted Joy, porn-voice Lauren, giggle girl Kendra and let’s not forget the infamous dry-humpers Jimboob and Mechelle. Think I’ll go grocery shopping or do laundry instead of watching this repeat.

Almost forgot the big cliffhanger announcement....Jessa and Ben are expecting #3. Big woop, old news and who really cares after baby #2. Seriously, They need to get jobs.

Just end it now said...

The ratings for the first run of John & Abbie’s wedding was 1,030,000 viewers. People WERE excited about seeing the wedding. Now, it’s over 4 months later and has been over discussed again, and again. What a non-eventful conclusion for season 9. Oh, and Jessa being preggeras again is no news. Everyone expects her to be “expecting “ because that’s all they have after getting married. SMH

Another wedding with pranks as Abbie's wedding ring arrives in the Sanctuary on a drone.

I agree with Just end it now. We know Jessa is pregnant because she has already announced it everywhere including People magazine. She continues to claim that she & Kendra were due exactly the same day before Kendra's miscarriage. Don't know if I believe that one, it seems a little far fetched.

Wondering said...

Sorry I wrote that Jessa said she & Kendra were due the exact same day. I meant Lauren. It's very confusing with all these young women that courted, got engaged & married practically at the same time.

Ditto. Uneducated, unemployed adults, who keep having babies. Maybe Jessa wants to go for 20!

Read on the Duggar family blog that TLC have not released a date for the next season but the family are still filming, dear God will this show never end? Its soooo boring I tried to watch an episode last week and fast forwarded through most of it because I had already seen clips, seen pictures and read about it, oh and I can't stand to listen to JB and Michelle. What on earth will they cover in the next season other than Jessa blessas new sprog, its just going to get worse.

Dont say that. Dont doom her to a weirdo. You KNOW thats what will happen. Not like shes better off a brainwashed slave to her parents but shes better off not married to a him Bob approved 'man'

Just the thought of all the flashbacks to all the Duggar weddings is a huge negative for watching this episode. Add to that, having to listen to Michelle’s little, whiny girl voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard. Atleast Kelly Bates talks like an adult.

I just realized how sad it truly is that Jana won’t be able to get married and leave the TTH. She’s the backbone of the Duggar family. It would falter and flop without her doing EVERYTHING for them. Sad.

LOL I’d recognize that pounding piano sound anywhere. Erin Bates.

Did anyone catch Lauren say while gushing about how Josiah took care of her following their miscarriage that he carried her everywhere? One, I'm truly sorry for their loss. Two, carried her?!? Of course she would be weak and in pain but totally unnecessary and dramatic to expect to be carried!

Aunt Bea said...

If Lauren bled so much, why didn't she go to the ER?
Elspeth, if you know, please clarify.
Lauren is a downer.

Lauren is a drama queen.

Aunt Bea....have you had a miscarriage? I hope you haven’t. But it isn’t always just a sudden fish of blood. I had a few hours of “am I spotting? Is it a miscarriage?” You spend some time tricking yourself that it’s normal, your fine. And even when you start to realize that this is what it probably everyone you talk to also tries to give you hope. “It might be implantation bleeding” “Maybe you just have a bladder infection”
You don’t always go to the hospital right away.

And of course Lauren is being down right now - she lost a pregnancy that she wanted. A future with a child that was wanted and loved already. And now that’s gone. You don’t just snap better right away! Some take longer to heal then others. Let her heal.
And maybe Josiah carried her around because he just wanted to feel close to her. Wanted her to feel loved and cared for. We don’t know if he carried her around because he wanted to or because she asked!

After seeing how Lauren reacted to the miscarriage at 6 weeks, can you imagine how she’ll carry on during her first Duggar home birth??? She told how Siam had to carry her around after the miscarriage because she was so weak. WTH? Hightail it to urgent care or the ER, girl!!
Everything that happens to that young woman is going to be drama-filled. I bet this couple only has 1or 2 blessings.

Thank you, Elspeth...but did Lauren go to the ED or see a qualified
real ob/gyn after the incident? She should have been examined and perhaps
needed a D & C. thanks for your always accurate comments.

I was surprised at the Duggar kids' grossed out reaction at John and Abby's first kiss fiasco. Especially the boy who said they should just get a room already. I sort of figured they'd think that's normal..
I wonder if Lauren always talks like that, and how far along she was when she miscarried.

Fist I must say I am so very sorry about Lauren's miscarriage, as I would be for any other woman. If she was truly so weak & in so much pain that Josiah needed to carry her around, then she definitely needed to go to the hospital, most likley for a blood transfusion & a D&C. These procedures & the medical care she received would have helped insure that she was recovering well & her uterus was clamping down as it should. She would have been examined & prepared to hopefully carry another baby to full term. I know she's young & this pregnancy came within a very short time span after her marriage but if she was truly suffering this severe bleeding & the pain she encountered, was so severe that Josiah carried her around, a trip to the hospital was definitely warranted. It makes me fear for any future pregnancy she has that have a planned home birth. I know the Duggars don't usually have OB/GYN's (although Michelle has had an OB/GYN) just midwives, but in Lauren's case she needs to be extremely careful especially if she is going to try for another baby as soon as possible. She needs good medical care if she evens suspects she is pregnant. I hate to see her go through this again. I agree that at times Lauren does appear dramatic, so I hope & pray the she isn't exaggerating this for TV. That would be terribly hurtful to any of the woman who have suffered a miscarriage.

Keep in mind that Lauren is a 19 year old child with absolutely no real world experience.

You just knew there would be another during-the-wedding prank. This time, a drone.

I was raised Southern Baptist and this is NOT how we were taught to behave in church, a place of reverence! These children are like their father who believes his own shenanigans are so cute & clever. Jim Bob & Michelle are wolves in sheep's clothing, they respect nothing. These Duggar stunts are not just inappropriate they are disrespectful and wrong. I keep waiting for a church pastor to put a stop to it or at least tell them they will have to do their tricks and barefoot running at the reception in the fellowship hall.

Lauren does have some sort of stomach/intestinal or digestive disorder. She has mentioned something along that line. She has to be careful what she eats and I believe she is on a gluten-free regimen. Am I right about this? Could this have anything to do with fertility? I am not very informed about this disorder. Does anyone know more about this condition or Lauren's in particular? P.S. I think Si was sweet to pamper her a little.

Aunt Bea said...

Judy, great comment. So a 19 year old child with absolutely NO real world experience was deemed mature enough and ready to be married? What is wrong with these people? Kendra, who is not a drama queen, but a 'trooper' is a nice girl, but a girl, she is. She, also, is too immature to have been married and have a baby. Joe is a sweet guy, but they really needed to enjoy dating a few years, and I mean real dating.

Re: Mia's comment. Exactly! At least Jeremy and Ben seemed embarrassed by the tomfoolery..but unfortunately all the rest still seem to think it's cute or funny.

Springtime said...

Re: Mia's comment that a church pastor should inform the Duggar boys that these stunts done in the Sanctuary are inappropriate & disrespectful. I remember that Lauren's dad who is a pastor informed the boys at the wedding rehearsal that there would be no pranks at the wedding he was officiating at. They could save them for the reception. He told them the church was a sacred place & no place for these pranks. J.B. spoke right up with the rest of the boys saying that wasn't fair as Josiah had played so many pranks on the others. Lauren's dad stuck to his guns & didn't allow any pranks. I was not raised Southern Baptist but was always taught that all church's were sacred places.

LOL,Springtime.I don't watch anymore, but someone standing up tp Jb must've been a real blow to his ego!Esp. his dd's father inl

Mickey2942 said...

The fact that the Duggars are so socially isolated, having never attended school, is why they do things that are socially awkward, they don't "get it" that "pranks" are not appropriate for solemn occasions. I have no doubt that JB has a severe learning disability, which is why he also has problems understanding social norms.

Mickey2942 said...

So, Michelle had a miscarriage, baby Jubilee, and there was a huge funeral. What is the "cut off" on when a miscarriage is "Gee, sorry", as opposed to a huge funeral? If a baby is a baby at conception, why no funeral?
