Honestly,JInger does not owe anyone an explanation as to why she chose to wear pants. I saw her CRYING about it in the promo--how silly. Grow up Jinger and own your decision!! This family is a cult unto itself.

It looks like the Duggar’s and Counting On will have some competition on TLC on Tuesdays. “Welcome to Plathville “ begins Nov. 5th at 9pm CT. This may or may not be the clue that the Duggars are yesterday’s news. It will be interesting as all get out to watch Jimbob and Mechelle’s downfall.

Kendra is at full-term now. It would be fun if she could have baby #2 this week and announce the baby’s arrival next Tuesday. Oh, wait. They haven’t even announced Kendra’s pregnant yet on the show! LOL (I know there was a preview clip but nothing more than that). This show is so behind any reality.

Where do they find these people? People who have lived on a farm, and don't watch tv? No soda. And the oldest son is married to someone normal, and the parents don't like her.

The ONLY thing that can save "Counting On" at this point is getting Jana in a courtship. Next season would be a bunch of toilet births? No thanks.

123, Definitely agree that Jinger owes no one an explanation as to the clothing (pants) she chooses to wear. I mean discussing this issue with clueless Michelle is laughable the point should be MOOT!!

I think the viewers and public are so over the Duggar family and Counting On. Time to cancel this train wreck of a family.

Looks like TLC is getting a teeny-tiny bit smarter about starting a new show about a big family. This Plathville show is only supposed to be a few episodes. Enough to see what life is like in this family that's a bit different from most people. Not a multi-season show (with a spinoff) of daughters auctioned off for courting, weddings and babies. The Duggars are so far behind the timeline of events we already know about.

I agree aber that Jinger doesn’t have to explain why she now wears pants. But seeing as there has been SO many rumours flying around that she does it to spite her parents and that it has caused a riff between them, that maybe Jinger just wanted to clear the air a bit

The Duggars also started with a short documentary about their lives so people could see what it was like then they showed a few episodes and then it turned into seasons.

I think Jinger does 'owe' some sort of comment to the public about wearing pants and shorts now. I say this because those girls have talked about their values and modern modest clothing many times on 19KAC and that they agreed with their parents about what is appropriate and God-pleasing about their wardrobe. Not one of them said that they personally don't agree but comply because they should respect their parents' rules. So, if they stated that they agreed with the wardrobe dress code, they should explain why they're wearing other clothing now, after marriage. It would seem that they would continue with the dresses/skirts even if their husbands said that they could wear what they want. Same goes for Jill, her pants and nose piercing. Not one word has been said about her piercing.

OMG was not aware that Jill’s nose is pierced. Of the older Duggar girls Jill is the least attractive & the nose piercing does not enhance her looks.

If perhaps TLC would decide to cancel the Duggar’s how will they make a living? JB will have a cow. Often on the show some of the Duggar boys have mentioned they are independent workers or words to that effect. I am confused for what are these Duggar boys trained? Do they have skills? Thus far the only Duggar man trained for anything that I am aware is John David a licensed pilot.

Has TLC made the Duggar’s too dependent for $$$ or lazy???

Mazie said...

Even though it’s been said that JB is a millionaire it’s probably not a smart plan to become too comfortable if the Duggar’s believe TLC will always take care of them. Counting On will not last forever. JB may not always have the means $$ to provide for his married kids. The married Duggar kids will need a way to make a living & provide for their families.

I am happy to know that Jinger is breaking away from the frumpy mode of Duggar dressing. Maybe Jill as well. As adults these girls owe no explanations as to their choices of dressing.

Z come on get with it.
The duggar boys are being trained to be master sandwich eaters.
Duggars 101 straight up.

Size: you are right about Jinger as her wardrobe reflects her life as a modern, suburban housewife. Jill, on the other hand, seems to be struggling to find a look that works for her. From little girl hair bows to cheap, ripped jeans Jill seems to be embracing the teen years her parents robbed her of.

Levy said...

Yes Jill was definitely robbed of her teen years as she was basically doing the Mommy duties with her younger siblings vs Michelle doing nothing. This current behavior of Jill speaks volumes I now understand why Jill constantly seeks attention via Instagram posting every boring detail. It’s makes absolute sense. However Jill’s constant behavior on Instagram ignores the 2 boys. At their impressionable age they need parents & guidance. Also Jill’s recent actions delivering cookies to Derrick at law school is behavior of one who is mentally a teenager. Again, this makes sense. In a way to me it’s obvious re maturity a few of Jill’s married sisters appear to be miles ahead of her specifically Jinger & JoyAnna. So Derrick as much in which to deal. I just wish someone could provide Jill with professional counseling.

Someone please tell Jill Dillard that hair bows are for little girls. Grow up Jill, Grow up!!

Sparkey said...

Two words for Jill Dignity & Pride. Jill has neither. If Jill has some dignity add to that a Filter accompanied with maturity then she would realize posting every detail of her daily life is ineffectual & not interesting to people who follow her on Instagram. Basically Jill continues to have an unfulfilled life.

Z said...

When Jills 2 sons become of the age to attend school, they need to go to a public school. In this century raising ignorant children with a minimum education is selfish, mean & cruel. Jill please don’t follow the path of your parents.

sandi said...

Private school would be fine for Jill's kids, too, imo. It's just that we all know homeschooling isn't going to teach them anything

Bee said...

Yes Jill is not smart enough to home school her children. It seems that educated Derick would intervene & decide his sons will go to pubic or private school.

So what was the verdict? What did Jinger say about the pants? Why did she cry? What did Michelle say?

Ok here’s the thing. When these Duggar grandkids are ready for college if & when they will be permitted to go to college once they begin will they struggle? I ask because I have my doubts the Gothard way of home schooling will actually prepare them for college as the Gothard way of home schooling is definitely limited. From what I’ve learned the Gothard way of home schooling will only prepare a kid to go to a trade school. What if one of these Duggar grandkids decide they want more in life such as to pursue a degree in medicine, law or other careers? JB & M will not always be around & their influence & control of their kids will eventually be gone. It is my hope some of these adult Duggar kids will slowly begin to realize the freedoms available to them especially the women. That the women will realize they have control over their bodies that they can choose when to have children. The Gothard Cult instills fear, limits or prevents freedom of thought & choices that’s especially prevalent to women & female children aka brainwashing. It’s absolutely not Christianity.
