Now we hear this hip hop sort of music and see happy kids dancing wildly in the dark, posted by Derick Dillard. Is the dancing man who is in the center, Jeremy? Is the devil taking hold now?? Jimbob must be freaking out at this blatant display Jillymuffins husband posted. What will Derick do next?? Why is he hanging out at night with students when he's a husband and father, watching girls shake there booties..NIKE territory for sure.
Derick is not a Gothard follower. He's straight SBC.
Some Southern Baptist Churches prohibit dancing while others permit dancing. Since the Duggars do not permit their children to dance, even the little ones, I agree Jimbob & Michelle must not be too pleased with Jill's husband's new adventure. Seems like he's keeping himself in the news every week with a social media comment.
Saw Dericks instagram post of his rave for God, once again he is out solo amongst heathen women, why does Jill not accompany him to these things? She did reply on the instsgram post but she is obviously stuck at home with the kids. I thought she was supposed to be a part of this whole student mentoring/converting malarky, was auntie Jana not available for baby sitting duties, or does Derick prefer being a lone wolf? I'm sure this will result in a tweet about guarding your purity or being lead into temptation, but who apart from Jill would be tempted by him, I think your safe Derick!?
I am sure he was there to fellowship with students, as part of his work for SBC.

I have sympathy for Jill, been dragged to Central America so Derick can play at being a missionary, has had a serious operation and is now put out of the mini mansion into some student housing with 2 babies. The girl has no security with Derick. Thanks to Jimbob, Jill is stuck with this man who no longer resembles the man she married, an ego maniac, delusional person who should be enjoying these precious moments with his young family. He seems more interested in being involved in a long, drawn out study/work scheme that does not give him a paycheck but lots of social activities with younger people. A college educated family man should be concentrating on supporting his family with a good paying job and perhaps donating some spare time toward church endeavors. His trip backward seemed to begin with the visit to his old college and that crazy costume. Derick is no where near as special as he imagines.
HOW JIM BOB PUSHED JILL AND DERICK TOGETHER
DERICK: August 2013 During a conversation with Jim Bob, he mentioned how he thought Jill and I might get along well, having similar personalities and direction in life. He gave me Jill's phone number. At the end of November, Jill and her dad got to come to Nepal for a couple weeks. I had no idea what to expect....
JILL: As my dad got to know Derick he was really impressed with his Godly character. He started telling me about Derick and also told Derick about me! I listened in on a few phone conversations with my dad without Derick knowing I was doing so.

My prediction is Derick will soon stray but somehow justify his sin as a learning experience. He's a guy who proves he likes selfish adventure. Jill will take a lesson from Anna and stick by his side. These religious dancing girls are so much more exciting then uneducated Jill who has no social skills and is overwhelmed with young 2 children as Derick hangs out with younger people on a daily basis.
I don't think it was right for Jill to be listening in on Derick's phone conversations with her father without Derick knowing that. It seems sneaky and not honest to me. I thought this family was supposed to be so honest...we know they're NOT.
RE: How Jim Bob pushed Jill and Derrick together. So the kids can Google and Facebook! Wow! I always thought that they weren't quite as closed off as they lead us to believe.
I remember before all the frenzy of weddings several seemed to have smartphones. I wondered then, why if they only need them for emergencies. A smartphone has lots of capabilites....including looking at the internet.
They travel en mass so why did they need more than one phone per buddy group.

Derick wormed his way into the family by working Jim Bob. I believe he wanted one of his virgin daughters and fame. He is a phony and so are they.
I've always thought it was insane and pushy but I guess paid for by TLC for Jimbob to take innocent Jill around the world to meet this man he had never met in person. I recall his rude remark about Derick not being so good looking but had other qualities. Why not wait for Derick to return home in a few months for the meeting? The whole bunch of Duggars are total liars, on the internet for years, obviously tracking social media and googling if Jill did that way back. They can watch any tv show on the internet!!! Also, how do Jill & Derick have similar personalities? He's a scammer and she's a simple follower.
As soon as Derick could, he dumped the Walmart job & ran off to be a "vaca/missionary". Remember the crazy reports of Jill cooking him lunch and bringing it to him in the Walmart parking lot so they could eat together and he not associate with the other employees. Now how is she feeling, tied down with the little children as Derick is off on his own mingling with younger students without her? How in the world can Jill be a mentor at the church when she's had so little education or socialization? Sorry......I got carried away with all these questions that came to mind as I was typing.
Jimbob is a creep for selling off his daughter to a stranger just for TLC ratings and a free trip to an exotic country. Didn't he see that Derick is unstable. One thing that bothers e me is that Derick should have demanded his wife have a scheduled cesarean and also prenatal care like a caring husband if she and the new blessing are so precious. Now Jill is paying the price, her body weakened from the difficult births and nursing the baby. You'd think Derick would be spending time with his family but no..he's off at night enjoying himself taking videos of dancing people & taking to intelligent students, girls & boys, who have ideas and opinions, much different from his uneducated wife who can like hardly like put together like a sentence. Wonder if he will have a different view of his Jill after these new interactions.
Oh my goodness! Please tell me that someone else has seen Sierra's latest blog post where she just HAD to shae the brownie and soup recipe that "so many" have asked for following Jessa's baby shower episode. Not even sure when that aired but considering that Henry is about 7 months old probably a while ago. At the top of the blog post she also includes her list of ideas for items for a baby registry AND a link to HER OWN REGISTRY for baby #6. We may not see her on the show much but she has learned from the grifters but she clearly learned from the Grifters while she was there. Big eyes, screechy voice, and ask ask ask for more more more from your "fans"

Speaking of "Derelict" - Every time I see a pic that makes me pause, I always wonder if he is behind it. Izzy being fed tomato sauce straight out of the can, not one, but two pics of Izzy well over the age of one swaddled and crying, Izzy standing on the base of an electric fan chewing on the cord while said fan is in use, Izzy teetering on the edge of a bumbo chair while trying to reach a banana on the kitchen counter, Baby Izzy sitting on top of the table next to a lit candle, Jill carrying baby Izzy in one of those pouchlike carriers, wearing him like a purse on her hip, I could go on and on! Then there's Derelict saying inappropriate things on social media. Picking on a 16 year old kid, discussing masturbation, begging for money. I'm wondering if those two nitwits do these things for attention, to stay relevant? Both babies born after prolonged labor followed by c-cections. Even Derelict should've known to get Jilly Muffin to a bona fide doctor for prenatal care! I'm seriously concerned for Izzy and Sammy. Sure can't depend on Gramma MEchelle to make sure everything's OK. I see that some people think Jill had complications having Sam and speculate that Jill may have had a hysterectomy. I have no idea if thats true, but would it be such a bad thing? With Derelict doing his "thing" and Jill seemingly a wreck, do they really need more "blessings"? Are they traveling around like nomads for Derelicts mission training now? Looks like daddy inserted Joe and his bride in the pool house mansion, did Jilly Muffin anger daddy? Or has even daddy had enough of Derelict not supporting his family?
Diana, I also wonder what goes on with Izzy. Once Derick mentioned the little child was getting manipulative, something about wanting a piece of fruit. A two year old is not developed enough to manipulate. Izzi always has a tired, sad look to his eyes and little bang marks here and there. It's strange not much mention of Samuel. Could be that Jill is suffering from postpartum depression, away from her family, the big house taken from her right after she went through a difficult childbirth, feeling weak with big scars on her tummy & her husband out someplace having a social life while she sits alone, like she did in Central America. I doubt it's the life she imagined when she was quickly convinced she loved Derick and rushed into the marriage to jack up the TLC ratings. Yeah, Jimbob must feel like he's loosing control with Jinger dressing normally and not pregnant, Joy curiously huge at 3=4 months and Derick not supporting Jill.
Where exactly is the mini-mansion Derick and Jill lived in when they first got married? NWA takes in several towns. Had to go from Siloam Springs, Springdale, Tontitown, Bentonville and Rogers recently. Derick worked in Bentonville and the traffic is crazy in some of those places. (I live in a large city and ours is not as bad as a few if those.)
The reason I ask is I want to see how far it was for Jill to go from where they lived to take Derick to work and return home to bake him a potato and rush back with it for his lunch, tear down the highway to start supper at the house, then fly back down to His office to be waiting to pick him ip at 5 so she could drive Pistol Pete back home.
Three round trips x how many miles. And if the traffic between the mini mansion and his job are like I sat in then it was stupid to not just let him take a sandwich. I don't think anyone was going to flirt with him at lunch.

Something is being overlooked here regarding Jim Bob pawning off his girls for ratings, folks. Jim Bob had a passel of daughters who needed to be loaded up & married off. What were their assets? Their strong shoulders and good teeth? Their good looks and virginity? Possibly all of the above. But that's it. NONE of them had any earning potential - no job experience or education. They barely knew how to cook.
Ben was a BOY who saw a bunch of sisters and picked out who he thought was the prettiest one for himself. Derick the opportunist just filed an application and let Jim Bob take it from there. It sounded like he was interested in Jana but got Jill instead. Similarly, I felt that Jeremy was after Jana but wound up with bright-eyed little Jinger. At any rate, JB benefitted himself all the way around, yet AGAIN. He got the ratings. He married off the unemployable girls. He kept the show going.
Now about Derick. That young man has come alive, hasn't he? He is so impressed with himself. A bum masquerading as a missionary. He wants attention and no responsibilities. So far, he's succeeded. Question: Does anyone believe that Derick will have the maturity and integrity required to stay with Jill if she continues to have baby after baby after baby? I can't seem to visualize Derick without his beard and beads, following a pregnant Jill as she totes an infant and pushes a stroller crawling with toddlers. I just think it would cramp his style.
Diana; I don't think it's Derick behind those bizarre photos for we have seen old photos of Jana feeding one of her 'charges' peas right out of a can from years ago. This family eats horribly; 'raw' food straight out of cans, nothing really fresh or healthy; just fast throw together pre-mixed foods. I hope Jinger does better. I know Ben does better in the healthy eating department and is most likely disgusted with the Duggar family's menu; as I believe Jeremy is/was. As a professional athlete, he had to eat well and correctly himself. I'm sure some of those slop meals at the Duggar residence turned him off, big time. Jinger needs to invest in a few good cookbooks and go with it.
Sorry, Jennie. I don't have an ounce of sympathy in my baby finger for Jill. Remember that scene where she enters her parent's bedroom & says, "I think I'm in love with someone I've never met, can we go to Nepal?" The next episode, Jill & Jim Bob are on a plane to Nepal. We find out that this wonderful Godly man, Derick, has been Jim Bob's prayer partner for who knows how long, because we had never heard that he even had a "prayer partner" in all the yrs. the show was already on. These girls are well aware that daddy is only going to pick the man that suits him & his values. Jim Bob never has & never will care about what his daughters want in life. If a guy s good enough to be Jim Bob's prayer partner, he's certainly good enough for Jill to spend the rest of her life with. It's also exactly what Jill wanted. She wanted to be the first Duggar daughter to marry. So she got what she wanted. Now she has to live with it.
I have sympathy for Jill because she had the mind and experience of a 12 year old with her first crush. This is how Jimbob keeps the girls so he can control them, no outside friends or activities. The prayer partner story is most likely started with Derick hatching the scheme to become famous by marrying one of the Duggar girls so he manages to con Jimbob into being a prayer partner to begin his adventure. The Walmart job was just a quick scam thing to show he was a working man when he got married but quickly left the job when God spoke to him about converting Catholics in Central America. His selfishness became evident when he took Jill away from all she knew, while she was still recovering from surgery, toting along a new baby to a dangerous country. Then he is stupid enough to get her pregnant in a Zika infested country....and we still don't know if Samuel is okay, wondering because of the lack of info & pics of him. Now a recovering Jill is uprooted again, probably very lonely as she has to care for the new baby & Izzy while Derick enjoys companionship and conversation at the school/church or whatever he's doing there. Soon she will be dragging the babies around, following him on some learning missionary trips. So I do feel sorry for the girl as she was not brought up to think for herself.
These families are so worried that their daughters are going to marry the 'wrong one' and for the wrong reasons. Yet they allow their daughters NO TIME AT ALL to be alone with the person and any real time to get to know who they 'really' are before marrying them. I think the Duggar daughters have all married for the 'wrong reasons'...their hormones. They hurry up, get engaged and married while their hormone highs are still breaking through the ceiling. One has to give that a chance to come down to earth. They have never experienced a disappointment or an argument with their 'men' during courtship to see how each behaves when not on their company behavior. After the fact, it's too late. This courting stuff protects the girls from nothing.
Jill is a victim of her parents and Derick. The family goes about their lives but Jill seems to be forgotten, pushed aside now. Jessa & Ben seem like a happy couple together raising their boys, Jinger is free and happy as Jeremy encourages her to find herself and Austin appears to be an ambitious young man working on providing for Joy. Josh..well, he's forgiven by all in the family, Joe & Kendra....like teenagers given Jill's minimansion.

I have to disagree with you on that. Virginity and "purity" is a highly esteemed coin in fundamentalist circles.
While the girls are unskilled and don't have any traditional job skills, they do have earning potential in the form of fame. I'm not sure how the Counting On contracts are written, if the girls and their husbands even get any money or if it all goes to JimBob, but even if you ignore the income from the show itself, there's money to be made elsewhere. If the adult children give interviews with people other than TLC, they get that money. If they want to start their own business, they've already got name recognition. Derick and Jill raised money for their vacation missions using her fame. If they were half-serious about being missionaries, they could have even continued as missionaries.
So Joe and Kendra went to Greece for their honeymoon. Okay. That's fine. What's not fine is that those two immature awkward kids had a film crew following them around on their honeymoon. I am cringing for them. How awkward--so we get to watch these two sheltered, ignorant homeschooled children, who had to get permission to touch each other while courting, tour Greece and not understand or grasp the historical or cultural significance of ANYTHING they experience. And Kendra's giggle---please, no.
Carrie, you say that Jimbob controls his kids by not allowing any outside friends or activities. While I absolutely agree with you, I also believe there is another component to his controlling ways that I rarely see mentioned. While he keeps the evil world at bay, I think what he fears more than anything else is "anything" getting out, not so much anyone getting in. I lean towards Smugger learning his behaviors from observing daddy. Have certain things gone on in that tin mansion that Jimbob fears will get out? I really believe that is exactly what's behind Jimbobs controlling ways. I was even shocked to hear that Cousin Amy wasn't allowed to see her Duggar cousins anywhere else than the tin mansion. I can just imagine what those kids go through having to prepare them for what they can or can't say when theyre having company or going out somewhere! Yet, every one of those kids trust "mama and daddy", as if they know what's best and have only their best interests at heart. See how good that worked out for their precious Jilly Muffin? What about Jessa, married to man-boy who cleans Jimbobs toilets? I worry that Joy married a boy just as controlling as daddy, but Joy has been taught her whole life to be submissive to all males, sadly. I'm hoping what we are seeing with Jeremy, Jinger in shorts, Jinger in pants, Jinger not pregnant, is really getting under Jimbobs skin! I'm just hoping that one of these days that a Duggar will write that book exposing ALL of Jimbob and MEchelles secrets! They should be ashamed for the 19 lives they've ruined.
Creepy Jimbob should not be involved in the sex life/pregnancy possibilities of his adult daughters. I bet he's a bit frustrated now that Mullet is in a "new season of life" and he cannot prove his virility impregnating her. Maybe all he can now do is the "dry humping" which he displayed in a public miniature golf course.............creeeeeeepy.

The one & only thing she supposedly had even an iota of knowledge about; "midwifery" she herself choose to ignore, when she choose not to have prenatal care, even by a midwife & then go through a dangerous labor & delivery putting both herself & her child at risk. Here's a young woman who has supposedly gone through enough midwife training to be running around with her stethoscope around her neck, even pronouncing her mom just fine hours, because she herself had heard a heartbeat before Michelle went to the Dr. to find out the gender of her baby & then found out she had miscarried. She then ignored all signs & symptoms during her own labor both times & ended up in an emergency situation at the hospital..."here I am take care of me." So even if she had any training at all about any subject, she choose not to use it. Sadly I'm afraid she'll do the same thing again.
The only way to begin to understand is to experience it so I'm glad they came. From the looks of the picture I saw, TLC put them up at the Grand Bretagne Hotel in Athens (one of the most expensive, if not THE most expensive in Athens). Not sure why, but that irritates me. They sure know how to live it up on someone else's dime, but if Jim Bob had to pay.......
Since when did the Duggar tumblrs and reddits turn into Jessa leghumper central? Feels like 'everybody' commenting is a fan of her now. In my opinion, she's one of the most annoying Duggars(after her parents and Josh of course). Seems like she's viewed as bright now, but to me she's still preachy and bossy.
Well, it's nice to see Jeremy and Jinger experiencing and enjoying life. They're probably doing it to create a positive image of themselves as well, but hopefully Jinger has a good time. They seem like the couple with most potential so far!
Diana: You are exactly right. It was known that Amy had to visit her cousins in the TTH, because JB was afraid that the molestation would be let out. If Amy was at THEIR house, their conversation could be and was controlled and overheard. It ensured the parents that it wouldn't get out accidentally.
I am waiting for when one of the kids goes rogue, and is up against it for cash, and does a complete "tell all" book...that would take in mucho bucks.
Right now, if Anna Duggar left JD, her value would sky rocket, with lucrative offers for interviews, magazine articles, speaking engagements...her experience being married to a sex addict, how she found the self esteem to love herself, and leave him...sigh. We can only wish and hope.
It's been weeks since we've heard or seen anything of baby Samuel. I'm getting the feeling that the baby was born with some defect and that the Duggars :
1. are thinking they've fooled us that nothing's wrong
2. they are embarrassed or guilt ridden because so many people warned them about
a. dangerous home births
b. the serious need for prenatal care
c. traveling to DA as a pregnant woman
3. if they don't talk about it or film it, the whole thing didn't happen
4. the Duggars discriminate against children with disabilities
Does anyone seriously know what happened?? The whole family talks nonstop about getting pregnant with all the pregnancy announcements, gender reveal parties, showers & sprinkles. And let's not forget the skin-tight, non-maternity clothes in all the baby-bump selfie photos. Suddenly the family goes silent on grandchild #8 but they are back at it with grandchildren #9 & #10???
I hate to say this but the photo of Derick's mom hold Samuel is concerning. His head looks very high(long on top) but the Zika babies have the smaller heads. I just do not think he looks exactly right. It be horrible of them to reject a child with a problem.
Re: Cee - Jessa is preachy and bossy. I completely agree! I'm not sure why all of the sudden Jessa seemed to become everyones best friend. She is still just as full of herself. My personal theory is that people see her as the beautiful sister (I honestly don't) and that alone elevates her status. Attractive people can sell anything.
Pie Face: Re Jill driving back and forth to Derick and Walmart. I always wondered how far away he worked as well. That could change a lot of peoples perceptions on Jill having lunch with Derick. Way back in the day my husband and I only had one car and I would also go and have lunch with him occasionally. As long as the commute wasn't insane, I never thought it was weird for Jill to go have lunch with Derrick occasionally or to only have one car. People also speculate the Jill was trying to keep him away from his co-workers especially women co-workers. But maybe he just didn't connect with anyone else there or get his lunch at the same time as his buddies and wanted to see his wife.
Jill taking lunch to Derrick at Walmart is a control issue (she learned it from dear ol' Daddy). She doesn't want him to stray -- like having like an intelligent like conversation with women who've like got more than just like a GED. If a Gothardite husband strays, it is the wife's fault.
I had written a reply to the question can planes fly into Puerto Rico & land? My answer, that came from my family member who flies for a large commercial airline was no. There were no flights landing at the airport. I have an update on that. I am now told that commercial planes, as well as planes belonging to groups, such as the Red Cross etc. are being allowed to land at the airport. However, people like the Duggars can't just gas up their plane & decided to perform their own mission of mercy. Just what are they going to provide to these people if they ever get permission to land their plane...Bibles? The need for commercial airlines as well as groups such as the Red Cross are the only ones welcomed there at this time. At this point in time, they cannot allow just anyone who has a plane, decide to go to Puerto Rico & land at an airport that's badly needed to get suffering people to safety as well as bring in supplies that are desperately needed. They would only be in the way. So I would advise people to save the money that the Duggars are again begging for & give it to a legitimate charity.

Prenatal care includes monitoring the size and position of the baby by professionals. Insisting on natural childbirth without prenatal care is very, very dangerous and stupid. Jill? Are you listening?
I just looked at Sierra Jo's blog (for the very first time) and was surprised to read about her sexual abuse at a young age. She spoke about her mother going into " Mom-mode" upon learning of her daughter's abuse and said something about mothers being warriors, protecting their daughters. All I could think about was Michelle Duggar's daughters reading their friend Sierra's blog and wondering where THEIR mother was during the Josh incidents. And then I wondered about Michelle herself. What did she tell herself back then, when she was denying protection to those little girls, choosing to protect her predator son instead? How does a mother DO that?
I'm sorry to bring it all up again, but there it is....in Sierra's blog....a reminder. Remember Michelle's face during Megan Kelly's interview? For once she wasn't looking at Jim Bob lovingly and admiringly. In fact, she looked stricken. The secret was out, and Jim Bob was babbling like an idiot. So the girls were sent in for the kill, to put an end to all the speculation for good. WHAT was Michelle thinking during this time? Did she feel guilty about what she was putting them through? What exactly was she protecting? Dr. Phil always said that we never got the whole story, always implied that there was more.
At least Sierra Jo was eventually helped, protected, and apologized to - her parents did that for her, at least.
Seeing Jill give herself her own 'prenatal care' in DA was ridiculous to watch. I would think she would have a "good' blood pressure monitor, not a wrist one. Those aren't first line of monitoring; it's the pump up arm ones that are the best. I'm surprised they don't care for such a blessing that a baby is to them with the best health care an unborn child can receive. She had no idea what her situation was internally without a real OB/GYN and the monitoring equipment, training and experience that those professionals have. Jill had a fool for a patient.
It must be nice to have friends to fill in gaps as needed, like so many that provide free labour with demonstrations for the kids. Maybe Jana's friend Laura is like that. Hey, everybody look at Jana & her friend Laura -- out in public, having fun. Proof that Jana is not stuck in Duggarville 24/7 as chief cook & bottle washer/sister mom & laundress. Jana certainly does need some emotional support. Without the other sister-moms, she's the only one left to mother her siblings. Mama is too busy making sandwiches for Daddy to actually care for her children.
As for Sloppy Jo, it is tacky to drop hints to close friends & family that you want certain gifts. It is way beyond tacky to post a baby registry link on a public site. I don't think I've seen any episodes that she's been in, but sounds like a real piece of work.
When someone is on their 6th child, as I believe Sierra is, what could one possibly put on a registry other than diapers and baby toiletries? I wouldn't think she needs to ask for gifts at this point. A simple family/friend sprinkle of those things to help out would be more than sufficient. If she can't afford the equipment that goes along with multiple children, DON'T CALL THEM TO THIS WORLD and be grateful for the children you do have and take good care of them.
Their "brand" is babies/pregnancy. Just as "beauty" is the Kardashain brand and I make that comparison a lot.
Therefore yes, them being so quiet about Jill's birth experience and baby Samuel is extremely unusual.
That Megan Kelly interview really put the final nail in the coffin for the Duggars. I speculate that the public relations people they have (certainly they have) warned them NOT to do that interview. And disastrous it was. Look up tv professionals comments on their interview. I found an article that listed about 20 things Jimbob said that were cringeworthy.
Regarding Michelle during that interview? She didn't know how to answer those questions and you always know when she's lost she starts quoting bible verses. It's a good tactic because the interviewers never know what to say to her when she does that LOL
Saying Josh confessed to them because he felt guilty? That was a bold face lie. He got caught. The girls also didn't admit to anything because we know and they know they would have been blamed.
The grossest thing was JB saying he touched the girls over the clothes "real quick and the girls didn't even know it happy"
That's explains why the kids don't wear pajamas and also the girls wear leggings under their skirts.
How does Jimbob know how Josh touched the girls if they were supposedly sleeping during the molesting? Did Josh say, "Golly dad, I just touched their privates like real quick." It is really disgusting of Jimbob to make light of what Josh did to these innocent girls. No one really knows how seriously Josh molested them. If Michelle was close to her daughters, they would have confided in her but maybe they were afraid they'd be whipped for the accusations. (Whipped as prescribed by the raising up kids by the Pearl couple.)
One day we will learn of the house of horrors, called Duggerland. Check out Raising Up book by Pearls and you will be horrified to see how they describe the proper way to beat children and other forms of child abuse, such as pulling a newborn baby's hair and the hideous blanket training. Also, they say do not comfort a child who gets an injury. Didn't we see Michelle be very cold to the son who fell off the stage? Where do these kids find affection and comfort if not from parents? Could it be among each other more then we know? I found the book at a sale for 25 cents...could not believe what I read, thinking of what the Duggar children must endure at the hands of phony baby talk Michelle and Jimbob (who looks like he must get quite a thrill, big smile on his face), as he tells the children he is doing them a favor by beating them. Maybe some are extra sensitive children, like Jana, who become more severely effected by the abuse.
Ellie On a Roll - I agree something isn't right in regards to baby Sam. I was immediately suspicious when the first picture of him that came out showed him hooked up to IVs and a heart monitor. Then after radio silence for awhile, Jessa announced his birth during their show. How odd! She even did an announcement on the Duggar Facebook page. No pictures for quite awhile of Sam meeting his big brother, not his grandparents, nor his cousins, nor any of his aunts and uncles! So "unduggarish"! No congratulatory videos right away. Didnt see or hear from Jill either like after Izzy was born. Even Dericks mom ignored his birth. She talked about the extended stay that Izzy had with her, but NO MENTION of Sam! And why did Izzy stay with her so long? Why was Jill in the hospital so long? I'm aware she had a C-section, but they don't normally keep people that long. I can't help but wonder if Jill and Derelicts stupid choices didnt result in an emergency hysterectomy.
As for baby Sam - I can't help but wonder why those mittens in 95% of pix we've seen? Don't know how true it is, but someone said Derelict has webbed fingers, maybe Sam does too? Ive thought from day one that Sam looked different. If he has issues, I certainly hope the Duggars practice what they preach - God don't make mistakes, or Its Gods will. After all the fury on social media concerning the wisdom of no prenatal care due to prior C-section, the Zika virus and going back to CA while pregnant, maybe as some have said - theyre too embarrassed to admit to any problems with Jill or baby Sam. They've always acted as if they're protected by God because their Duggars! Dim-wit Jill probably thought just because she got pregnant while in Arkansas that Zika wouldnt be an issue SMH! Gotta love the wonderful education Jilly-Muffin got from those Gothard wisdom booklets!

Gerti, you cleared up a couple of things for me. As you said, no way did Jim Bob know the extent of the molestation, where and how the girls were touched. He minimized every single detail and lied, lied, lied! I believe you're 100% correct that the girls were afraid to tell about it, knowing they'd be BLAMED.
I really do wonder what goes through the minds of Michelle's daughters whenever they "revisit" those memories. A little girl's mother is her confidant during those tender years of development. And don't even get me started on Southern girls and their daddies! So how do these girls really feel about their parents? Wonder what goes through their minds when Sierra Jo is weeping about her experiences and expressing her appreciation for HER folks - the ones who learned about her abuse and addressed it.
Sierra Jo Dominguez was very lucky to have the step-mom she does. She sounds like a jewel to have stepped into the mom role and protected Sierra.

Re: Comments about Sierra's baby registry. I agree it's not only in poor taste, it's just disgusting to have a baby registry for your 6th child. I've never even been to a baby shower or bought anything off a registry for even a second or third baby. It's usually assumed that once is enough to ask for gifts. That doesn't mean I wouldn't buy a gift for someone who has a new baby, although for the 6th child is really pushing it. It would need to be someone I was extremely close to, or had a close family connection to. Why do these people think others should be supplying them with what they need for these "Blessings?" I thought God provides, although I personally haven't run into God checking any baby registries lately. I am going to a shower this weekend, I'll ask them at Babies R Us, if God has been in the store lately.

I have said this all along, as I watch these beautiful little children be neglected. We've seen it with Michelle's little ones, except for Josie. I remember when Josh & Anna were in DC & they showed Anna "trying" to homeschool, MacKenzie, Michael & Marcus, at the same time, all the while, saying she couldn't wait to have her next one. She was getting absolutely nowhere with her "school," as she had these 3 children all at different ages (one was an infant) & stages & she was trying to convey the same knowledge to all 3 children. That's why there are different grade levels in pubic or private school. Yes, I know back in the eighteen hundreds everyone was in the same schoolroom, being educated with all other ages. There's a reason it's not done that way anymore. Anna has absolutely beautiful children. If I was their mother I would want to spend my time hugging, kissing & playing with them, showing them that they meant the world to me & that I wasn't waiting for the next one to come. Is the next one going to be better than the ones they already have? Are these people waiting for a certain number of children or just for that one perfect child. If they are waiting for that one perfect child it's going to be a long wait!

In my area in southern California, recently the most recent episode "Counting On" airs on Monday nights at 9PM, and is NOT repeated--not later that evening, not through the week. That's it. Highly unusual for a network that airs and re-airs and re-airs the same programs!!!
I just scrolled through the TLC channel schedule for a week and saw re-runs of Toddlers and Tiaras, Say Yes to the Dress, Cake Boss, my 600 # Life, Long Island Medium, even Sister Wives and What Not to Wear, but just that single 9PM Monday night episode of Counting ON. Do you think that's done so that people can't record/affect the original airing ratings? Wondering if it's the same in all other areas of the country??
Because I am usually watching/recording other shows (DWTS is a favorite)I used to sometimes record Counting On, and then go back to look after reading this blog. Not any longer!!!!

So yes, little to no news coverage about Samuel Dillard's birth, pictures of him with family etc seems very puzzling, to say the last.
cali-girl...Yup. Same here. I wouldn't expect to see any difference in a cable network's schedule in different areas, but I just checked the listings for Monday evening here in TX, and you're right. Just the one airing of "Counting On". Rather than airing in a second time like they do with pretty much every prime time show of theirs, they started airing "Behind Closed Doors: The American Family" (Another train wreck of a show!) at 10PM Central Time. Hadn't actually crossed my mind that they nixed the repeat, but it's interesting. Are they not wanting to give the Duggars any more airtime than they have to? Or is it, like you suggested, trying to force people to watch the one airing to manipulate ratings? Who knows?
Interesting. Is TLC trying to cut the cord on "Counting On"? I don't think anyone is much interested in the younger kids. The older ones are so dysfunctional, it is like watching a train wreck. The evidence of lack of education is glaring in Joy Anna. Her vocabulary and sentence structure is remedial at best.
The only hope is to get Jana courting, that may save next season...
I think the reason they only run it once is because they have practically no legitimate sponsors for the program. The only commercials they show are for other TLC programs. No legitimate commercials = no revenue from ads= no money coming in for the time slot.
Sierra D, the Duggar friend/party planner lady is expecting baby #6 and she posted on her blog a link for her baby registry list. Mixed feelings on this as it does appear shallow gift grab. There's more than $2,000 worth of baby loot on the registry. I wonder how generous the Duggars, Dillard's, Seewalds, etc are when gift giving? Sierra has thrown a lot of showers for the family so you'd think they'd extremely generous. But my gut feeling is they give one group gift for $50 and sign 25 names on it.
Guess I'm old fashioned but I thought baby shower/registry is only appropriate for the first baby. Doesn't she have a boat load of baby stuff from numbers 1-5?
Skimmed through the you tube version of "finding joys dress". Wow. Is Michelle on some kind of medication? She is so out of it, in the background, lacking emotion and when she speaks it sounds like she has to summon all her mental strength to put together a coherent sentence. And the eerie public address from her kitchen to the children to get ready to leave for the airport. Have you heard it? In her attempt to sound calm (is that her intent?) she sounds like a crazy seething volcano about to erupt. Those poor kids.

Why don't the Duggar girls lend some of their baby equipment to Sierra. It's probably because she needs daily items such as diapers & wipes etc. If that's the case having baby number 6 is ridiculous. If you can't afford to buy your own diaper & wipes you cannot afford this baby. I'm so sick of hearing that this one has this many kids but will have more within the next yr. They care nothing about these beautiful children all they are interested in is what number in the head count this one is. I guess Sierra has been hanging around Duggarville too long. I thought a bride went wedding dress shopping with her mother if she were available. Why did Jessa take over? She was not her "buddy leader", now is she Joy's mother. Michelle took no part in it. I understand Michelle's role is downplayed in this tv show, but with wedding dress shopping, it's a given for the mother to step up and be involved. Jessa was annoying, bossy and not appropriate to give direction. I also realize that Joy was as limp as vanilla pudding and offered NOTHING for Miss Renee to work with. So, she should have NOT went dress shopping unless she was going to participate in her own dress shopping.
SOmeone please tell me how it is financially modest when someone trumpets 'buy used and save the difference" then they FLY IN A PRIVATELY OWNED PLANE to buy a custom made wedding dress in another state? Doesn't add up, yet again.

I agree Aunt Bea that it is LATER! I'm referring, of course, to the Dillard's addressing the oddities surrounding baby Sam. Im wondering if TLC is distancing theirselves from the Dillard's over Derelicts posts concerning Jazz. If thats the case, perhaps the Dillard's won't talk? Or maybe any difficulties involving baby Sam will be handled like the Duggars youngest - call it occasional "glitches" and move onto making another "blessing"! Seriously though, I hope Jill and Sam are okay and we are just seeing the Dillard's giving their children the privacy they deserve. HA! If you believe that, then I guess you'll believe 51 year old Michelle is pregnant!
Cali-girl I'm in Florida and Counting On does NOT repeat here either. Thats NOT the first time its been that way either. Since the show came back under Jill &Jessa Counting On, Ive seen where its only aired that one time. Funny though, just within the past week, I think it was Sunday at 3:00am, I came across an airing of the show when it was still Jill & Jessa Counting On instead of the newer Counting On. Didnt watch it, although I should have because I was trying to go back to sleep lol! I too believe it doesn't rerun due to lack of sponsors. I must say though that last few episodes ran REAL ads instead if just promos for other TLC shows. I just hope the ratings keep going down I'd like to see if the expensive wedding dress shopping, indulgent honeymoons and hatching all these new "blessings" will stop if they all have to actually WORK to pay for it themselves. You know the Boob don't want to come off that cash. They'll have to fly around in one of those 6 planes Boob now owns to do speaking engagements.
Speaking of Sierra....I was reading some of her Facebook posts and my opinion of her has changed. I actually kinda like her. I have to hand it to her, she's quite the hustler! I admire that. She's so energetic too! She at least tries to make an extra buck to help support her family. Ive always had a problem with people who expect others to support them! As for the baby registries? Ive always been told if its been at least 5 years since your last shower, its okay for another. Maybe she hasn't had one since having her first? And after 5 babies, unless everything was top of the line, its time for new. Old stuff is probably worn out after going through 5 "blessings"? We've seen her on TV helping with showers and weddings, so maybe its her turn. I know it may have been staged for the show, but maybe not. I'm willing to give the girl the benefit of the doubt.

There are to many inconsistencies in Duggar world at this time to make the show enjoyable. Owning 6 planes, flying to buy a wedding dress yet shopping thrift stores and risking lives to home birth babies are just a few of the things that are confusing. This show was cute and interesting in the beginning when the children were young but now it's too hypocritical. Even when it was enjoyable it was a lie since they were hiding the Josh molesting. What we have now is spaced out Michelle, bossy know it all uneducated young women who are becoming more annoying with each show and husbands who refuse to work but have the nerve to tell others how to live. Hearts are breaking for Cinderella Jana, nearly 30 years old woman who has never talked to privately to a man or been on a date. We cannot forget those boys, growing older, balder without training, a job or girlfriends. Married Joe turned off many people by allowing Kendra only a 3 second hug. One can only imagine the lack of passion between those 2.

Speculating about or attempting to discuss the sexuality of unmarried Duggars is not a subject we entertain here.
I'm loving this month's lively posts and instead of replying to each individual poster, I have a blanket comment about what we, as the viewing public think we know about the Duggars. One of the hallmarks of (scripted) reality programming is that the subjects of the program are the people who are being filmed. The people who are telling the actual story are the producers and editors. I have to keep reminding myself while watching the show that anything I see of the Duggars' activities may be real, yet the way it is presented is packaged very carefully to elicit a certain public response. Now, don't believe for a minute that I approve of their more extreme ways of disciplining children, courting rules, political beliefs, hateful comments toward other network stars, etc. What I do believe is that as much as the show maddens me, instead of blaming the subjects, I'd rather spend some time picking the brains of the show's producers to engage in dialogue about how to improve the show for the sake of the innocents of that family. I sure miss the days when they all used to go on fun adventures together and would actually talk intelligently about their lifestyles and the how & why of their beliefs. Now that that's over, I sure say that Miss Joy Anna keeps dropping hints during the couch sessions that she's antsy-pantsy ready to become a woman, and I mean biblically. Good for her! Natural and healthy!

Just noticing Derick Dillard is posting about adultery in social media. Why is he so sex oriented recently with masturbation posts, now adultery posts? Could it be to stay in the spotlight? He saw how much publicity he received from the the Jazz bullying.

I believe the rough "story lines" are still approved by Jim Bob. He decides what we may see. He is a sick man. We have seen his daughters sucking on pickles and telling us how much they LOVE pickles. We have seen his sons being taught to go play with guns and then stop by a flower shop on the way home and buy the females flowers. Showing off his kids courting is his way of saying look at my kids---they are in demand. Then he taunts them into marriage because without biblical marriage there can be no sex. Sick.

OMG. It was just yesterday that Dillard was warning against adultery with smooth talking women. I am concerned that Michelle may have untreated depression. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to go from having so many babies back to back and then reaching the end of that season in life. I actually feel for Michelle, given that this all she was used to, and now that part of her life is over.

I never put that together with Michelle having untreated depression, but it makes sense, because I have wondered about poor little Jenny. That precious little girl has never looked happy. Jinger used to seem that way but she looks/acts happy now that she is away from the dictator.
I think Michelle got drawn in by him at a very young age and didn't realize what a manipulator he was. Now she doesn't see any way of every having any freedom. She wears ugly old used clothes yet they have the money for her to have something nice. It is like she doesn't really even care, since she doesn't get to make any decision.
She had to wear that ugly wedding dress that he wanted and the ugly hair, that she knows everyone makes fun of....because she is told she has to do whatever he says.
So, I can't help but feel sorry for Michelle...just going along every single day, faking a smile and enduring it when he demands a sandwich.
Michelle seems not only depressed but also jealous of her "kids with kids". She is not enjoying the season of her life as a grandma because she wants to be the one getting attention as the baby mama. One of the best part of being a grandma is helping your daughter or daughter-in-law navigate through those early weeks, months & years of motherhood, imparting wisdom and warning about mistakes you've made. But when you think about all the episodes we've seen, Mother of the Year doesn't have a whole lot of motherly experience. Jana has done most of the work for her and is probably a great resource to be used/abused by her younger married sisters.

I happened to see Kendra and Joe's wedding on TLC On Demand tonight. Less than 20 minutes and I thought this was how how of these weddings should be- not so drawn out. Michelle looked better than most weddings; thought Joe's tears upon seeing Kendra was sweet; think her dad who also performed the ceremony was adorable; and she has a younger sister who is a real beauty and should be a catch for another Duggar boy in a few years. It did appear that 2 of the younger Duggar girls were not in the wedding- Josie and one other. I hope it's not the one who's always ignored- can't remember her name.
I was thinking w all that stuff they have in the warehouse, they could start a business. They had banquet chairs, sports equipment...the older kids could organize all that and rent it out. Something productive to do!

Immaay - I was wondering why on Earth the Duggars have a WAREHOUSE chucked full of stuff thrown all over the place. With 10-12 grown adults sleeping-in til noon and going through life aimlessly, why isn't all that "stuff" cleaned, organized and either sold or categorized so they could rent it out or atleast find things in a timely manner.
I now see why Joy/Austin and Kendra/Joe registered for a gazillion gift cards to restaurants and stores when they got engaged. They don't really need any household stuff because the Duggars have grifted their way life.
I bet Kendra and her classy Mom just cringed watching the whole re gifting scene! Nothing screamed cheap and Duggar like cleaning up an old, dirty, rusty camp stove and calling it a wedding present. I bet snotty, selfish Jessa just ruined it for the next few Duggar brides with her comments while "shopping" for a gift in her kitchen cupboard. I hope Kendra and Joe move the hell off of the Duggar compound and live near her family.

Re Dericks tweets, did anyone happen to catch the one which implied he had gone to Texas to help after the Hurricane? After the Las Vegas massacre Derick posted 'Praying for Las Vegas', someone tweeted back about no support from him for Puerto Rico and then a second person tweeted that he and the Duggars had done squat to help out after the Texas hurricane. This is where it got interesting because Dericks mom weighed in and tweeted 'he was down there helping, not posting pictures. Just whatever needed to be done'. She got a response saying that it waa unusual for a Duggar to do anything without showing the world to which Cathy replied 'happens all the time'. Derick then tweeted again and said 'is your reality always based on what you see, or based on facts? I have not seen it mentioned anywhere that any of the Duggars helped in Texas, and have not seen it mentioned on any gossip sites or the Duggar blog, did Derick help and if so exactly what did he do? Does anyone else know about this, or maybe I have got the wrong end of the bull by the horns and got it wrong??

Does anyone else think Derick's step-dad might leave Cathy if she keeps publicly supporting Derick? I remember he wasn't at all pleased that Derick was marring into the Duggar clan. When he & Cathy went to the Duggars home to drop off a package for Derick when Jim Bob & Jill were going to Nepal for Jill to meet the love of her life, Derick's step-dad wouldn't even step foot into the Duggar's house. They just took the package out of the trunk of the car & left. He also wasn't very happy about being in any of the wedding pictures when Jill & Derick were getting married. I can't believe he's very pleased about Cathy making all these comments praising Derick for all his good works.
I am really confused about whether or not the Duggar girls cook. On Jinger's instagram it shows these yummy-looking, made- from -scratch yeast rolls with a wonderful recipe. She goes on to say how at the holidays they would all devour them. So if they knew how to cook, why does the show let on like they are the worst homemakers ever? It would've been much more interesting in past episodes when the girls made the meals, to show them making the meals by scratch than taking out frozen lasagna and frozen rolls and throwing them into the oven.

reality lies: Perhaps those 'made from scratch' yeast rolls came out of a box or bag. It was the factory that made them from scratch. Michelle just added the liquid and baked them.
I have made those rolls and 'homemade bread' by buying Rhodes frozen bread dough, at Walmart, letting it rise and having wonderful 'homemade' bread.

The other girl was probably Jennifer or Jordyn, but most likely Jordyn. Jennifer at least had Michelle pay attention to her for about 18 months until Jordyn came along. She also had Jill as her buddy and Jill was pretty good at raising her buddies even if she seems... a little off with her own children. Jordyn was ignored by Michelle once Josie was born twelve months later and passed off to Jessa, who seems like a great mother to her own children but wasn't particularly interested in mothering her younger siblings.
Jinger and Jeremy have done some videos for a music charity that Jeremy's mother runs. They give kids in foster care and other bad situations music lessons, but seem a bit evangelical.

On one hand, it seems like a neat organization and they work with kids whose parents are incarcerated. On the other hand, it looks like they're very explicitly religious and trying to convert the kids. Teaching self-control and perseverance are great, but the mention of teaching faithfulness really makes it sound like they're trying to convert the kids.
I'm so glad we agree about the Megan Kelly interview. They are bold face lying all through that interview. I feel certain their PR team begged them NOT to do that interview and it was the beginning of the end of their empire. Even watching Jimbob move his hands to describe molesting the girls by "reaching over the couch" is cringeworthy along with many other comments he said. Does anyone know the requirements to get a pilots license and become an instructor? I was watching a Bates episode and they said Nathan got his pilots license and now he is teaching flying to other pilots. I don't know if this is the same as the Duggars adoption of titles that they aren't actually qualified for.
That was so immodest. The babies little legs were kicking like crazy too. The baby didn't even seen comforted while nursing. What baby has to eat in the dark, covered by a blanket, kicking her legs frantically. Defeats the purpose of bonding with your baby and making eye contact.
Amy needs to revisit her appearances on Marriage Boot Camp, particularly the scenes where she is dropping the "f" bomb and swearing. Most people would call that "rough" behavior. Try again, Amy.
Regarding the Duggar girls' cooking, I believe that they have minimal kitchen skills. Most of what they cooked seemed to come from cans and boxes. I can't imagine much in depth/scratch cooking for that many people. That is a whole different skill set, like cooking for a bunch of school kids. I feel like they kept it very basic out of necessity. If they had homemade bread it was probably for special occasions like holidays. And I would imagine that Jana is probably the most skilled cook, as it seems to be her main chore.
Just read that the judge in the case of Josh Duggar against In Touch magazine has thrown the case out saying that the magazine broke no laws in obtaining information that was the truth, even if its eventually proved that the police who released it did so illegally. Lets hope he looses the next part too.

There is no way on the face of this earth that someone who has only had a pilots license & been flying for a short period of time can be an instructor. My son is a pilot for a large commercial airline. My friend flies small planes. My friend was taught by a Certified, licensed Air Force Pilot. My son first went to a college that specialized in training pilots. After that he spent many, many, many, hours getting in the number of hours required for flying. He was also put through a great deal of testing & had to learn how to file flight plans, as well as doing pre-flight checks on the planes he was flying. Sounds like the Bates are trying to have as many professionals in their family as the Duggars claim to have. I hope these Duggar boys that claim to have pilots licenses were not taught by their brothers, instead of licensed professionals.

I'm not puttint the guy down, mind you, I'm sure he's a good enough pilot for his level of flying, but an instructor for real? No.

Josiah has a private pilot license for what appears to be single engine over land.
All it takes to be a pilot instructor is flight hours, money, and passing the test, and the physical. That being said, John David Duggar is no Pilot Chesley Sullenberg. A pilot needs flight hours, and ongoing training, to be competent.
Pretty much, a private plane, and pilot license, is the play toy, and vanity license for the wealthy, with disposable income. Think about John Kennedy, he was a weekend pilot, who was fine to fly during the day, in perfect weather. Not so much when something goes wrong.
It is unlikely John David would ever get on with a major or even regional airline, usually those jobs go to military pilots or bush pilots who have worked in Alaska for years.
It is not difficult to get an Instructors license. But, that does not mean you are any good.
John -David has always been different from the others. He quietly works and goes about his business and seems to shun the limelight.

Re: My earlier comment about what's necessary to become an instructor, let alone a pilot. My son also needs to go once yearly to the home base for the airline he works for, in order to undergo training on the planes he flies, as well as any new plane that are expected to become a part of the fleet of planes within the next yr. I do think that John David probably does have a commercial license. Remember when he wanted to become a pilot & work for an airline & Michelle said absolutely no, because it would mean he would need to be away from his family on Sunday's, which is a day of worship. Poor guy could have a good job doing what he really wanted to do all his life. I remember Josh used to have a sign on the door of the used car lot saying "closed Sundays for worship." Oh what the Duggars have done to their children's dreams & any ambition they might have had.

(Letting him continue to live at home with the sisters he'd molested was apparently all well and good and CPS didn't get involved.)
On the same day as law enforcement receives the tip, someone emails a note to Oprah making her aware of the allegations and the Duggars' appearance on Oprah is cancelled.
I believe that the borrowed book story went like this: someone close to Duggar family wrote about the matter on a note in 2003-ish, stuck it in a book, and then lent the book to someone else a few years ago. The person they lent the book to was probably the one who tipped off the state and Oprah.

I completely understand closing a personally owned family business on Sundays. Nothing wrong with that....but when a parent slashes the ambitions of their children, like John David wanting to fly for an airline, that's awful. Jim Bob and Michelle drastically changed the course of their son's life. No telling what good roads may have been available to him had he actually become an airline pilot. There are other jobs within an airline that don't have to include flying on Sundays, like corporate positions, etc. He might have actually continued some type of educational training, met a nice young woman and had a nice life....but he's driving a tow truck for his father in NW Arkansas. (Not downing tow truck driving OR NW Arkansas in general but you get my meaning here.)
I have always kinda liked JD. He is the only Duggar boy with any marketable skill. It's not too late for him to get into commercial airline flying if he would just stand up for himself and move out. He is an adult. His parents can't force him to live at home.
He has a CDL as well. He could work for the city transit authority driving a city bus. Drivers in my area start at $18 an hour.
Just another means of control. Many religions allow members to have professional lives, and not attend church on Sunday. This is a cult, that thrives on control. It is not a normal religion that encourages members to have higher education and opportunities for growth, that would be too threatening to the ideas of the cult.

It is one thing to guide your kids and try and steer them in a good direction, but to knowingly hold them back from their dreams and sucess in life is just disgusting and immoral imo. Obviously some of the Duggar kids are very bright (you need to be to become a commercial airline pilot for example) but their parents denied them a good education, instead having Michelle 'teach' them from those woeful ATI/IBLP booklets, filling their young pliable minds with goodness knows what rubbish, twisting the screw a little at a time so they would fall into line. I knew that the parents had stopped Jill from becoming a real nurse but I did not know about John David, it makes me look at him in a different light. Not allowing their kids an education is totally about control. Education opens minds to the world, to new thoughts and experiences. Knowledge is power, and Jimbob is not going to let any of his kids have any power, thats all his. Its exactly the same reason they don't allow the kids to attend regular school, mix with the secular world and only go out in pairs, can't have them learning new things or different points of view, they might start to think for themselves or even challenge what they have to think. I hope one day one of these kids says 'you know what I want to be a doctor/engineer/lawyer...I'm going to college so give me my TLC money I'm out of here'.

I was also thinking that enough of the Duggars children are 18 or over now. They could band together and stand up to their parents as a group.
I think most of them have played along because they are afraid of being disowned or not being able to see their younger siblings, but now they could stand together. There's power in numbers, and the parents couldn't do a thing about it. The worst part would be they might not be able to see the younger siblings for a while, but the little girls will be of age over the next 6-8 years.

Just Asking: The Duggars are millionaires who still earn big bucks every time they make an appearance or give a speech. Most of the adults are unemployed so they have all the time in the world to fly planes.
John David does have a lot of 'jobs' and skills. Sadly, outside of passing his flying test, all the work he does involves his father or his father's businesses...he only flies his father's planes, for the family or father approved passengers. We were told that the Duggar children were not allowed to have 'outside friends', that meant any friends that were not their own siblings...they said so themselves on TV when explaining their beliefs..all insular and they drew everything they needed from their own home. That's part of the Gothard belief system. How do they know that they are each other's best friend when they aren't allowed one moment together alone? They are delusional about such things.
How could two people who have NEVER had a private conversation call themselves best friends? I know it is a common bit of advice that you should marry your best friend. I know I did. My online sweetheart & I spent almost a whole year getting to know each other, our families and our church families as well. I don't think Joe & Kendra (or any Duggar couples) had the freedom to develop a true friendship. How shocking it must be for these girls. Derick needs to figure out what he wants to be when he grows up. The world does not need another grifting missionary or preacher. Raise your children, send them out of the Duggars reach for school and invest your time and energy in them and your wife. Move away and get a fresh start somewhere. Work at a job that will pay well and give you an opportunity for advancement. Meet people. Learn. Grow in your understanding of diverse people and what they bring to our world. Pulling a baby's hair. You are right. that is horrible and if I saw some nut job doing that I'd be calling DHS on them right after I told them what I thought of that evil practice.
Since the mother is a stay at home mother, what's the rush for the baby to nurse FASTER? This practice is disgusting and plain cruel.
As far as'sleeping until noon', the world doesn't operate on only 9-5 shifts. Iv'e said before the time of day you work isn't important It's the quality.The thing is the Duggars have no schedule.
Believe it not Aunt Bea, the takeaway i got looking through the Peearls believe on pulling an infants hair whiling nursing is that this is done to the baby if the baby bites on the breast while feeding! The author alludes to using the hair pulling for othee reasons as well such as fussiness or crying in general!

You hit the bullseye when you said he loves being in the spotlight, if he wasn't married to a Duggar he would be an insignificant little accountant going to his office every day, no one except his friends and family would know about him, and no one would be arguing with him on twitter or talking about him on a blog. He sees himself as a modern day crusader but all he does is tweet a statement, retweet something someone else has said or tweet a bible verse usually taken out of context then retreats. People have hit a nerve by telling him to get a job, for once he responded but even then he got called out for not being able to keep his story straight. I would really love to see everyone who usually responds to him stop for a while, let him tweet his nonsense and get no replies, cut of the oxygen that feeds his ever growing ego. He really should put his phone down and leave the tweeting to the birds, they do it better than he does!
Speaking of the Bateses it looks like Kelly and GIl went to South Dakota. I bet I know who held the fort down. It is ironic this 'poorer' Quiverfull family seems to cough up money for these trips and ATI conventions. I read this is quite common place among this group while the kids often go without decent clothes, food, and other essentials. Oh wait the Bates are on UP.
I hope everything goes well for Erin but you think they would reconsider their stance on birth control if they are antsy. If you don't use birth control, you don't stop at two. SHe's reminding me of Jill except without the home births which I think she would home birth if not for the complications.
I really have to wonder just how many of these arranged marriage in this country actually work out. It seems to me there are enough divorces without "daddy" picking out the perfect husband for his daughters.
Erin is going to end up with really bad skin from all of the heparin shots,if she keeps up this pace of having babies.I have seen people with scars so bad from the injections,they can barely find another place to inject,and when they do,that place has such heavy duty scar tissue on it,the med is hard to force down into the skin,and many times,oozes right back back up.If you are a nurse,you probably know what I am talking about.

Sandi, My opinion of the Pearls is so low that it doesn't register on my scale. BTW, my low opinion also extends to the wife, Debbie. Why? Because just like MEchelle, Debbie Pearle allows her husband to treat her as a maid, cook and sex slave! I just don't get that! I'm not sure if the Pearls have children, but that's my major beef with MEchelle,and Anna Duggar too. If these women want to live their lives as second class citizens, well frankly, that's their CHOICE. and it IS a choice,however,when children get put in the mix, I believe it becomes everyone's business. I also realize it's a fine line between child abuse and letting parents raise their children as they see fit, that includes practicing whatever religion they choose. I will also ask, how often have we seen child abuse committed under the guise of "This is what our religion dictates"? I've seen many times, it's just sick! I'm a firm believer too that abuse begets abuse. Not every single time, but often enough. It's a tired script too. Girl raised with domineering, child beating, sexual abusing father. Mom too scared or not financially secure to leave the husband, or too scared to leave. Girls grow up, marry a man just like daddy, becomes an abuse victim herself. Although this isn't about me, I will throw in here that I'm a divorced mom of 3 now grown children, abuse victim, highschool drop out. I speak from experience. I've kicked myself because I'm not sympathetic towards these women, but if I can do it, so can they. I just don't get why MEchelle, Anna or Debbie Pearl would sign up for this sick, misogynist treatment and call it their religion! No pity here, they must like it,but it's twisted and unfair to children. These people call themselves "godly"! The Duggars alone have ruined the lives of 19 people by keeping them ignorant. Now they're raising another generation of kids who's lives will be ruined too. I'll end with one more thought. I cringe when I see Duggarites hail Anna for being so STRONG for staying with Josh. I don't agree. Anna staying with Josh is the epitome of WEAKNESS!
I think JD has lots of potential for fixing and solving problems with cars, plumbing, construction indoors, bulldozers, landscaping etc
The problem is he is NOT licensed in any of these marketing jobs.
Except for maybe a CDL license or pilots license which he makes a living from neither of these skills.
Doesn't Derick have a Bachelors degree ? I have two Associates degrees and they are basically used to guarantee a spot in getting into bachelor programs

I assumed Jimbob had the decency to give the husbands a dowry for all the years the girls worked on TV but apparently he is not.

I have seen some of these families, and it really is heartbreaking how impoverished they are. The Mother's look haggard, in old cast off clothing. Usually the Father is well dressed though. The kids have home haircuts, used clothes, worn out shoes, they eat lentils and creamed corn for dinner, meat is never on the table, they are basically vegan, from poverty. No milk, fruit, or fresh vegetables. The kids teeth are rotting out, no dental care, one family had lice, and no money for the treatments.
Yet, God will provide. It is insanity. Nothing wrong with seven kids in nine years...
I just saw about a dozen pictures that Jessa posted of her filthy, messy house. Piles of nasty dirty diapers left on a dresser, vomit on her bedsheets that has been there for 5 days, end table that hasn't been dusted for 6 months, 2 sinks of dirty dishes, heat ducts that are full of dust, and more. There's something wrong with Ben and Jessa if they think they should have any more kids or, heaven forbid ADOPT.
I saw a post on FB that a woman called CPS and reported Ben and Jessa after Jessa posted photos of stacks of dirty diapers laying on a dresser and sheets with vomit on them from 5 days ago, just to name a few . The poster said CPS were going to pay the Seewalds a visit. Bet we won't see this on their reality show. However, if Jessa does have PPDS, I hope she gets some help.
NEVER A DULL MOMENT - truly wonder what Jessa was thinking when she posted pictures, along with her commentary, of the messes in her house! Surely after the exposure of the molestation she's aware that DCF/CPS exists? I know CPS paid a visit to the tin mansion about a year ago, maybe she is so ignorant that she believes they deal strictly with molestation cases? Why would any mother wave a red flag for CPS to insert themselves into their home? Perhaps Jessa is trying to portray that she is just a normal, everyday, stressed out wife and mother? Or maybe she's arrogant enough to think that she's a self-righteous,God fearing Duggar, therefore she's untouchable? On that note, I did notice one thing different on this week's episode of their show. Just like the Bates TV show, Counting On played a song in the background, something I've NEVER seen them do before. As a matter of fact, it sounded just like the same group of singers that the Bates use, quite a bit I might add, on their show. Also just like the Bates, when the show returned after the scandals, the Counting On promo had the Duggars featured on the show jumping up and down and all around. All in all, maybe TLC,as well as the Duggars,are aware of how the public views the Bates family more positively than the Duggars? And the Duggars are trying to make themselves more viewer friendly like the Bates? Anyways, Jessa and Ben are annoying, but I do believe they are loving, caring parents who,in my opinion, don't really need a visit from CPS over a stack of dirty diapers. I don't believe Surgeon and Henry are victims of abuse or neglect. Now Josh and Anna's daughters? Well, that's another story.
I don't understand how Jessa let her house get that dirty? And to post it? Growing up with my sibling, my mom always had the house clean and she was a SAHM and volunteer. When my sibling and I were small, Mom cleaned while we napped or after we had gone to bed or just got up in the morning before us to do it.
Jessa lives like a pig. This house is beyond needing to be picked up or 'dusted'. That dust on the end table was there for MONTHS. Time to take out the lemon Pledge and a good dust cloth AND CHANGE IT OFTEN. Wax that furniture, girl, vacuum BEHIND and UNDER your furniture. No wonder Ben always seems red-eyed and stuffed up. That poor guy is living in a dusty, filthy house that smells like shit. (Pardon the language, but those diapers aren't filled with fragrant flowers).

I couldn't believe how messy jesses house is – and for it not to even bother her. I always thought she was the organized one who was always on top of things even with all those siblings to look after. I'm surprised Ben puts up with a that "messy organization".
Meh, CPS will pay a visit because they are required to if someone reported something, but nothing is going to happen. The most they will do is tell her to clean and possibly come back and check to be sure she did.
As gross as the baby vomit and piled up diapers were, CPS workers have seen much worse. They aren't going to do anything.
Re: colen's comment about cleaning the house. When my children were young, one an infant & anther 3 yrs. old my housework was completed by 9am, including hanging my wash outside sometimes in very cold weather, as I didn't have a dryer, I know hard to believe these days. Fridays the house was cleaned by 9am & then I proceeded to bake (from scratch) so there would be goodies for the weekend as we often had visitors on the weekend. I still had plenty of time to play with & enjoy my babies. Someday these girls are going to miss the time they didn't take to enjoy each & every Blessing, although that doesn't seen to apply to Michelle, Mother of the Year. They grow up very fast & you can't go back in time. Love these children & enjoy every day, instead of waiting for the next one to be born.
Jessa is a slob and does not care she is going to ask for Jo Hannah to come and help her with her kids. she is going to say she is having number 3 any time soon. what is she doing all day nothing. She said in her own word she does not cook so how do they eat. Ben cannot even take care of his own kids has to go along on Joys wedding dress shopping? will we start to see the Little girls run wild now and be even more neglected. Who will help them with their schooling now Jana?
About Jessa and the pictures she posted of her filthy house. In reading through the post, I got the feeling that she had a "message" and that is in this "season" of life, there are more important things than cleaning etc. and that is enjoying being in the moment and just enjoying your kids. That being said.....I was SHOCKED when I saw the pile of dirty diapers on that end table. There is absolutely no excuse for that except for pure laziness. The same goes for the baby puke on the bed. There is no reason that could not have been cleaned up. It is one thing to have a messy, lived in house. It is another thing to be living in filth, and that is what they are doing. It makes me sad for those precious little boys. I keep waiting for an announcement that Jessa is pregnant again. Spurgeon was only about six months when they got pregnant with Henry...........and he is over six months now, so I'm just expecting it.
I hope Jinger took a good look at those photos of Jessa’s messy, germ filled house. Keep on the birth control.
If someone has a messy house and then cleans it up I would say that's Ok. The fact that she posts pictures and says she's enjoying her kids says this is common and I am not cleaning up anytime soon.
Maybe she is clinically depressed. I hope she gets professional help, and assessment for medication. She must be under a lot of pressure, and maybe she is unhappy with her "headship", going to college parties for prayer (dance) group with women while she is home with babies.
I would have no desire to be her, she grew up in a fishbowl. And her continued existence depends on the TLC money, which looks like may be in jeopardy, with those episodes of Sam's birth cancelled, probably because Derrick, needed to bad mouth Jazz Jennings.
Mickey were talking about Jessa's house that was fithy and not Jill's. I don't think that Ben (Jessa's boyhusband) is going to those parties. I do agree that Jessa needs help, but what she needs is a dose of reality. Having that unsanitary a house could be fatial to an infant.
Jessas house was disgusting. We have all felt overwhelmed at times especially while our children were little, being untidy is one thing, but unsanitary filth is another. I have stripped and remade beds in the middle of the night when little ones threw up they might not have made it to the washing machine until the morning but the bed was clean. Dirty nappies never sat in a pile, maybe one by the back door for a short while until it made it into the bin poopy ones went straight in as they stank the house out! Someone else mentioned Bens allergies and red eyes, no wonder living with dust so deep you could plant spuds in it! Allergies can be hereditary what will she do when she needs to hoover and dust every day to keep her kids allergies under control? Taking care of one task each day wouldn't eat into her time with the boys and would help make her home more pleasant for everyone living in it. So much for coming from a family which promotes the role of the women as cooking, cleaning and child raising!
Since Ben and Jessa announced that their desire is to have an all boy football team for children, I think her 'season of life' which involves spending all her time with the babies won't end for about 20 years...what will her house look like then? No excuse for the stat it is in. An adult can clean up and throw out dirty diapers and still enjoy the children. I don't think Jessa is depressed in any way, or overwhelmed, she's simply too lazy, unorganized and has her priorities screwed up. Obviously visiting the TTH most days of the week is a priority for her, as many photos of the kids are taken over there. She also spends too much time on her hair and makeup instead of cleaning up. No comment that I have read about this anywhere suggests that Jessa's spice cabinet needed to be alphabetized to perfection. Their comments were quite valid about the unsanitary state of her house. Disgusting. The ONLY GOOD THING about those photos is that it showed me she's not been requiring any of her single sisters to do the housework FOR HER. Good for Jana, Johanna and Jennifer.
Okay, I really can't keep track of them. She still may be depressed. I don't know, or could she just not care about squalor? That level of squalor is really beyond disgusting.

Colen, I thought the same thing. Maybe it was all staged for a future episode. That is the only reason imaginable, as to why anyone would want people to see their 'dirty laundry'. $$$$ talks.
Then again, maybe that is why she got Grandma's small house, instead of those big beautiful mansions Jim Bob owns. She definitely would need to beg Jana to help keep up with one of those homes.
