Oh Josiah, grow up. No one pranked you because they want the immature nonsense to stop. You are not funny, you are simply the middle child looking for attention.
I swear I've already seen the wedding. Why do they keep showing old news episodes like this? Seriously the only wedding I'm interested in is Jana's. I'll watch John David's because I think he's one of the best Duggars.
Re: Snore me a river's comment. You are absolutely correct. Josiah & Lauren's wedding has already been shown. I believe it was either last week or possible even the week before. Her dad officiated at the wedding. There have already been comments on the blog about Lauren's wedding gown, Michelle's dress etc.
I agree with Snore Me A River. Jana's and John-David's weddings are the only two I would care to watch. Until then I am not interested.
Let's hope Jessa isn't the talking head for this episode. Pretty sick and tired of her being the family expert and know-it-all bout everything and everyone's business. Seriously, she needs to go have a couple more kids and sink to the back of the tribe.
I think TLC should rename the show "Counting On Repeated News". Seriously, so boring because we all know the ending to all episodes.
I couldn’t believe it. Michelle actually had a pretty dress on in one of the early scenes, instead of that ugly skirt and boxy blouse.
Who else enjoyed "meeting" Abbie?? I really liked her! She acted like an actual adult woman, no googly eyes at John, no baby voice like all the others. She talked about loving her job and John seemed so happy!
I watched this episode the second time it was shown last night, so I'm not sure how that figures into the ratings. It was the second time Josiah & Lauren's wedding was shown, but there was a great deal more detail in this episode compared to the first time it was shown. I gave credit to Lauren's dad for laying down the law to the Duggar boys about absolutely no pranks in the sanctuary of the church. It was bad enough that the Duggar kids complained about no pranks when Josiah had pulled so many in the past but Jim Bob had to speak up stating his opinion that if Josiah played pranks so should the others. Did he not hear Lauren's dad or does he not realize the sanctuary requires reverence & respect, something that's been neglected in the past. Perhaps he just didn't care for Lauren's dad giving the orders. I don't know where those boys ever got the idea that pranks are something that's just done at weddings. The boys kept repeating, over & over again, that pranks were a part of weddings & were expected. Guess they hadn't been to many weddings before the Duggar wedding marathon began. The officiating clergy has the right to lay down the rules. I guess the twins know they are next in line after John because they said as much. The absolute worst thing again, was all the women preparing the cupcakes & cake & dipping the strawberries in chocolate with their bare hands. I can't believe none of them knew enough to wear gloves when handling food of any type. I felt sick to my stomach watching them dip the strawberries in the chocolate with their bare hands. Don't think I'll ever eat dipped strawberries again. Of course, again there were 1,000 people & 1,000 cupcakes & the wedding cake certainly wasn't large enough to serve 1,000 guests. I'm happy for John & Abbie but since when have any of the Duggars just brought home a girl & introduced her as their girlfriend. I thought they had to show him asking her dad if he could court her first & then move on to the engagement. Good for John & Abbie.I believe they will have good ratings for their wedding episode but after that, I don't think the twins weddings will help the ratings out any.
I was surprised how much I actually liked this episode. There was a little too much repeating of Josiah and Lauren's wedding but it did include some new scenes as well and I really enjoyed Lily's tea party etc. I enjoyed that we finally got to see some of John and Abbie. I thought they were teasing that it was going to be Jeremiah. I agree with the other posters and I hope Abbie doesn't develop a baby voice or the gazing stare. I thought Jana looked a little sad when she came to see Josiah getting dressed. The creepy part, as always, was Lauren and her dad, just like the other brides, only a little worse I thought.
I couldn't believe the women who were preparing the food were not wearing gloves. Totally grossed out over this. I did think Lauren looked pretty and she seems likable but I've never cared for Josiah. He comes off as cocky like his older brother, Josh. We've not had a pregnancy announcement from them yet so I hope they try to be more like Jinger and Jeremy and not rush into it.
There were no gloves used or any hair held back at Lauren's tea shower either. I found it cringe worthy that these people have no idea about keeping food clean when preparing for others to consume. Disgusting.
The wedding-food ladies should have known better also.
I found it curious that no one in the Duggar family knew John was 'getting to know' Abbie? After all, doesn't JOhn David have to discuss anything with his father about this first like Joshey did about courting Anna? Didn't add up to me. I think TLC was trying to present John David and Abbie a bit differently and more relatable then they actually are. It was nice to hear Abbie introduce herself in a few sentences without using those tired old cliches' like 'loving Jesus" and all that. Nothing wrong with loving Jesus, but this family has used those phrases way too often that they lose their luster.
Hope Abbie stays real. It seems to me like she's wearing the pants in this relationship and she can beat John David's butt....I think he likes that.
Aunt Bea, I wonder if it was because Josh had been in trouble that they felt like it was better that he run everything by JB and Michelle first.
I just watched this online...there is a sad look to Lauren after they get in the car to drive away...they have a hurried kiss (Josiah doesn't even look at her but at the camera) and she just looks so sad...or like she has a headache. I wish the best for them.
I wonder if Jim Bob is working himself into a frenzy over the ranking. He was so proud of being #1 when the Josh scandal hit.
I'd rather watch Mama June and her girls taking turns chewing up a mass of food then opening their pie hole to show the others and having them guess what all is in that disgusting wad.
