Kudos to Lauren for that long birth process. I went through almost exactly the same scenario with my first so I feel Lauren is a stronger girl than I gave her credit for. Bella is a beautiful little girl.
It’s interesting the Bates girls are educated. A few of them have started a clothing business. Most of them are Moms yet they are working in a business. Duggar girls very little education & they do not work outside of the home. Obviously even though the Bates & Duggar’s are of the same religious beliefs the Bates girls are more progressive & interesting. Kelly & Gil encourage each child to attend college. Albeit it’s a Christian college they support education.
Watching & old episodes of Bringing Up Bates. Kelly is a good hands on Mom not one who is lazy choosing to sit on the sidelines as does Michelle Duggar.
After watching the Thurs evening 08/13 episode of Bringing Up Bates it was clear the Bates parents never taught their kids the importance of good manners specific to Listening & Learning to Not Interrupt Or Loudly over talk a person during social conversation. The fact one of the little Bates boys was unaware about the definition of oral hygiene was sad.
Interesting that she had a hospital birth. Does she have insurance? I guess Anna is still having toilet births.
Josiah looks like he is resigned to his fate. Resistance is futile.
Re Carlin & Evan Stewart... Recently on line it was noted that Carlin & Evans baby daughter Layla was diagnosed with a small
hole in her heart. Layla was experiencing breathing issues, once turned blue. The Docs ran tests & determined she has a small hole in her heart. Hoping for & thinking positive thoughts for this little one. It must be stressful & tough for Carlin & Evan.
Add to that after watching a few episodes of the Bates program it’s clear once the kids are married I don’t believe Insee too much interference from Gil or Kelly. Not so true of Jim Bob. It’s also clear Gil has common sense & is intelligent he’s one as is Kelly who believes in education for each of his kids. I wonder if Jim Bob is aware of this fact? As it seems to me Jim Bob is just self absorbed enough to confront Gil & tell him he’s wrong about education. If that scenario were to occur I am sure Gil would politely admonish Jim Bob & Jim
Bob would be unable to get it.
Hey when Carlin married Evan they danced st her reception. Carlin also danced with her Dad. If Jim Bob & Michelle attended Carlin’s wedding how did ole JB handle the dancing? Did he make a scene or throw a fit? Just curious.
Two things: During Carlin's dance with her father at her wedding, did you notice that vey few guests were at the dance floor to watch? She had hundreds of people invited to her wedding yet most of them I'm sure, didn't approve of dancing, even tasteful ball room style dancing. They mostly stayed away from watching that, even the bride and groom dance. Didn't she dance with her husband also?
On another note: one of my husband's relatives wives had a baby a few days ago. The baby was born with a hole in her heart and she has to have surgery in the next few weeks. Why isn't Carlin's baby having surgery to correct this? Anyone know? Thank you.
Patent ductus arteriosus treatment varies depending on the severity of the condition. Some close on their own. Some require surgery. Others are in-between and are treated with medication.
My guess is Jim Bob was probably upset by the innocent dancing. He probably fooled himself into believing he was in control of Carlin
& Evans wedding plus the wedding guests. Once a fool always a fool!
After graduating HS both Gil & Kelly furthered their education. Jim Bob appears very simple minded doubt he’s ever changed his beliefs. Basically tunnel vision. Just not progressive.
I wonder if any of the Duggar children secretly get to read all the comments made about their family. I wouldn't be able to keep smiling if I realized that I was a prisoner in and out of my own home.
Jim Bob and Michelle are like a couple of smiling clowns in full makeup. No one can see everything that's underneath, but everyone can see the repurcussions of raising their huge brood with NO personal freedom or space. The fear in them must be palpable.
Jim Bob and Michelle had a normal upbringing and education and were exposed to all the "evils" of the outside world. Their children have been indoctrinated since they could talk that seeing or hearing what the world is like will tarnish them and therefore they will have to repent until their souls are cleansed. They have to carry so much GUILT.
Therefore, why are Jim Bob and Michelle allowed to go out into the world in the course of doing business? There's no one watching over them ready to punish them if they see or hear something contrary to their beliefs.
With all the indoctrination and punishments that they've inflicted on their children to think only pure thoughts and to do kind deeds you would think that they still wouldn't have to be so closely watched because the kids should have learned how to control themselves by now.
But no, Jim Bob doesn't seem to believe that all their admonitions and teachings worked. Jim Bob and Michelle should have to live one month under someone else's rule with all their personal freedoms taken away from them. They wouldn't last the month.
?? what happens to the married Duggar girls if a spouse should pass? It angers me that Jim Bob has squelched the learning & educational potential of his daughters of which none are equipped to earn a living other than a minimum wage job. The Duggar’s just blindly go through life with ignorant behavior. I think they could be proud of their ignorance. At least the adult Bates girls have created a business & the majority of them are educated beyond HS.
If one of the Duggar girl's spouses passed,my guess is that they'd be forced to come back to the Duggar compound,kids in tow,like Anna did when Josh was sent away.That would be until Jb found them a new husb.Jmo
