"Emotional reunion"???? Jessa has not an ounce of love or empathy or emotion in her. She is ice cold and without a soul.

Rudy Tecat said...

Oh my goodness! And, they think someone will tune in for another show about Jessa?

Andrea said...

Good gawd. It continues? When will this end already? Please tell me TLC closes this circus down in early May with a season finale?

By the way said...

Oh geez, "going down memory lane" again?? They really have nothing else do they?

Denisean said...

First off- going down memory lane- of what? Jessa's last 2 years (from engagement to motherhood). It's not like she's been married 25 years.

Also, what does that have to do with reuniting with Jill? It's not memories of her and Jill.

AND... reuniting? Didn't they just see Jill a couple months ago? This is just getting beyond ridiculous. When will TLC realize they have nothing left to film on this family?

Duggarsbegone said...

They haven't lived or been married long enough to take that many trips down memory lane.

How sad to be a Duggar said...

They have to go down memory lane as they have no future to look forward to.

Please, I hope we don't have to hear about all of Michelle's birth's on the memory lane...

This show is so boring. Please TLC cut the umbilical cord now that sponsors are leaving. That is proof that this show has run its course. I wouldn't put it past Jim Bob to force an engagement to keep it going though.

Jessa is an ice princess. No one, not even BinBoob can take her for very long. I do not want to see Spurgeon and Izzy meeting each other for the first time. I want to see the news flash that this show has been cancelled by TLC for good. No repeats. No finale. Take it off the air!!!!!!!

Willow said...

Really? So glad I don't watch anymore. Isn't Jessa's engagement and marriage still pretty fresh in our minds? I think its less than 2 years ago or so. Didn't she do "memory lane" (on fb and IG) at the time of Amy's wedding?

Lindsay said...

Apparently they have nothing else to film, so they are again going to "go down memory lane." I haven't been watching the show, but from the write-ups I've read, it seem they are using a great deal of old footage of the girls when they were young, all dressed alike & remembering all the times they had together. So apparently now this will just be an hour long trip down memory lane.

Lindsay said...

Re:Denisean's comment about when will TLC realize they have nothing left to film on this family? This is the easiest question to answer. They will stop filming when the viewers stop watching!

Re: Andrea's comment about shutting down this show in early May. It's my understanding that they were planning on going on hiatus in May which may lead some viewers to think the show is over but I believe it's just on hiatus for the summer months. They probably need that time to come up with another courting, bridal shower, wedding. I'm afraid it will be Joy, as she is the one that, no matter what she says, she has the least resistance to what Jim Bob & Michelle want. I don't see it being Jana, they need her too much, or Jinger who is needed to take all the freebie pictures. I also have always believe that although she doesn't say much, she speaks volumes by keeping quiet. I don't think Jim Bob can force Jinger into an arranged marriage.

As a matter of a fact... said...

I would rather see Joy or Jana visit Jill. They are closest to her. Ben and Derrick aren't that fond of each other either. They don't have much in common besides being ridiculed by the public for being married to a Duggar girl. That episode where they had to prove they were worthy to JB to court one of his daughters was pathetic! I got the feeling Ben and Derrick didn't like each other much back then. Ben probably feels inferior to Derrick's intelligence and maturity. Derrick to Ben's looks. But I guess the highlight of the episode will be Spurgie meeting Izzy! And they aren't even old enough to remember this reunion.

mickey said...

The continuation of this show is beyond comprehension. A show about nothing, boring, and made up wannabe life.

The Duggar crazy is over. The reality of the dysfunction of how these parents did not prepare their adult children for a life beyond the family is evident.

Denisean said...

Even with a new engagement, what would there be to see? It was new when it was the first girl getting courted or engaged, to see it for the first time- and plus it had been a while since Josh was courting. But when the other kids start courting, it will just be a repeat of what we have already seen, so I can't see how that will increase ratings. If the kids truly had the power to set their own courting rules, as JimBob once tried to make us believe, then it might be interesting to see how each kid handled it. but now we all know they will follow the same rules as their other siblings, so big deal.

I haven't watched since the second Counting on way back in December.

CourtneyK said...

Memory lane really? Isn't it a a little soon for a flashback episode? But then again it's not like they really have anything else to focus on. I mean we've seen lighting fixtures and tree houses as plots so.. I agree with evryone about them having absolutely nothing left to work with. People originally tuned into counting on out of curiosity I believe. To see how the girls reacted to the Josh scandal. But this has turned into another boring Duggar episode. Like watching the same things over and over. Courtships, marriage and babies. Various parties for each in between. Every once in a while someone goes on a trip or acts as if they have an interest in something you wouldn't think they did. Like Jigger and the cars and Jana and the construction. Oh and new friends who all seem the same and of course share the same religious beliefs and lifestyles. Then of course a trip down memory lane to relieve it all over and over and over again...

Just Wondering said...

I have to wonder just what type of paycheck Nancy Daniels is making for coming up with this looser show. Believe us, when we tell you we are not interested in the girls lives as you are presenting them. I can't believe she made that comment that so many people are interested in what the girls are doing. We know & have known for quite sometime, what's happening in their lives & there's nothing interesting there.

Willow said...

I think part of the reason the show is so boring is that the adult children of Jim Bob are not allowed to do anything interesting. We have seen it all. They need to let them do something. My dream is Jinger marries another photographer and they travel the world together taking pictures. When they return, they could open a studio on the beach in Maine. Jim Bob needs to realize they can still be Christians without the Duggar compound; millions of us are!!

I think TLC will try to drag the show out until/if they can get film of Josh returning and/or speaking about himself. That is what I think they are waiting for.

Willow said...

Denisean: In my own awkward way, I was trying to agree with you! :)

Just my thoughts said...

Jinger and Joy may have also gone to Central America. In March someone posted a picture of a group with Joy, Jinger and Jessa at the airport on their way to Central America. It is possible that they were there to see then off. SOS ministries did have a mission trip in March so maybe they did go. Jana was not in the picture but neither were Ben and Spurgie.
Jana always staying at home to help. Remember when Jana was into mission work. She asked to go on the Malaysia trip and had to take John with her. I believe she and Jill also went on a Romania trip(Gothard sponsored). She also organized a Central America trip with some young ladies-this was posted on Kelly Bates blog-they paid for Michael to go. Jana if this is something you are still interested in-SPEAK UP-and stop letting them make you stay home to help.

Tori said...

I've been recording these shows but hadn't had a chance to view them until recently. Oh gosh, how boring. I wound up fast-forwarding through the majority of the material.

The episode of Ben with the rappers was so awkward that it was painful to watch. In some of the other episodes, Ben looks checked out and rather vapid. I think it has hit him hard that his life isn't what he thought it would be when he married into the Duggar family.

Derrick looks terrible. I don't know what he and Jill are doing in CA that is all that important. They walk around from one place to the next to "help" and to pray. People can pray for others without leaving home. I think they are really down there to escape from real life since Jill was so upset about the molestation becoming public.

Babies, wedding, showers, trips, etc. have all been done to death over and over.

It's obvious the network isn't putting out major bucks on the show or they would have coughed up a nicer place to stay for the older girls on their little trip, or at least paid for their spa treatments that they had to do for themselves. I think TLC is testing the waters to see how many viewers will tune in.

There are a lot of evangelicals who will continue to watch in order to support the family because they are openly Christian. But a lot of those who are watching don't realize that the Duggars are controlled by the Gothard cult.

This show is toast ... focusing on the older children isn't enough to keep it going. It's time for TLC to pull the plug and let Jim Bob, Ben, and Derrick support their own families without being on television.

They aren't "entertainment" anymore - they are now a sad embarrassment and a reminder that the restrictive child-rearing policies of Gothard and the Duggar parents are a miserable failure.

Ashleigh said...

Now I hear there is a new victim of Josh duggars molestation madness coming out of the wood work. Also it seems that JB is a big fish in the town, and the town is under the control of JB. I feel for the people who have to mingle with these people.

JJ said...

This family is not about Jim Bob's christianity or lack of it. This family is about one man controlling his wife and daughters to an extreme so that he can be king of the castle. Same with the Bates. Patriarchies are the work of the devil. There is a special place in hell for these men.

To TLC: I would rather see the unmarried Duggar women in a show of their own. The 3 of them, Joy, Ginger and Jana would move out of the Tinker Toy House and move into a 3 bedroom apartment in the city near a community college. The show would not show the married women, parents or brothers. No pregnancies, babies, nursing or anyone playing house.

The adventures would be showing them taking classes to get their GED and starting taking classes in the community college. They would go to restaurants, coffee shops, shopping trips and meet people their own ages who are not evil monsters. It would show them 'growing up' into independence. It would show them realizing that they can succeed in higher ed. Perhaps they might even show them ditching the eye liner and long skirts. I can see them taking a music class or two and perhaps a history class to get started. All they need is a taste of success. You could pick a college with a bible course if you had to.

Marie said...

Seeing the picture of the girls in high heels was a joke. I kept waiting for them to visit some theaters. People come to that city to hear Christian music and shows. Watching them explore the place may have been a good show.

Just Me said...

Susie that was a great post.

Hello said...

They are really reaching for storylines now. Jessa hasn't been married long enough for a trip down memory lane. Didn't Jessa post pictures of her wedding on cousin Amy's wedding day? This is almost as ridiculous as the girls giving marriage advice after being married for a short time. TLC needs to take this show off the air and then maybe the Duggar husbands will be forced to get real jobs to support their wives and the many kids they will have.

Susie said...

I can see Jana working with Habitat for Humanity and getting her fingernails dirty while she takes classes at the community college. I can see Jinger studying photography with professionals while she takes classes. I can see Joy working in her dream vocation whatever it may be and taking classes. I believe this type of TLC show would be of interest to many who have watched the horror of bad parenting, the quiver-full cult and patriarchy take its toll on these young women. All I ask is that it be in a large city and that it not be an unaccredited bible college. When they go home on weekends--no filming. I do not want to see the reunions. I want to see progress in their lives and real change. I want to see them go out to a movie, watch TV news and discuss current events and read books and listen to music. Pay them enough and they may try it.

Why would you take your baby to a country experiencing a heavy Zika virus outbreak just to visit your sister? I mean come on, you are potentially messing with something that can have damaging effects on the little guy. And of course he probably doesn't receive any vaccinations, so who knows what else he could get (AND Izzy too). It is ashame because they probably did it for the show.

Cry me a river said...

Wait....Jessa is going to take a trip down memory lane and then Jilly Bumpkin and Jessa Blessa are going to have an emotional reunion?

I hope the memories are of all the things Jill did to try to upstage Jessa; jumping in to getmarried first, getting the better house, having Derick polish the toenails on her big feet at Jessa's wedding, etc. Oh yes, drag out those hurtful memories and who would blame Jessa for getting emotional.

Carrie said...

I cannot watch pretend missionaries, pretend friendships, men pretending to enjoy being married to two selfish 9 year olds and very bad parenting being carried to another generation.

Meme said...

Susie it would be GREAT to see those girls going off to college. Unfortunately, their parents don't trust their children or their parenting enough to let any of them breathe freely. Looks like they would've learned a little something by now. After all, Anna is doomed due to her lack of education.

Ladies, what kind of mother doesn't encourage her girls to be able to support themselves? I remember being in high school (senior year) and seeing last year's homecoming queen pricing shampoo bottles - she had gotten married and skipped college. Four kids later she divorced. What's Jessa gonna do when Ben decides that he married too young and wants out?

Susie said...

If TLC gives the Duggars only one show option---the unmarried women in the city going to school and exploring life--they will take the money. This family is money-driven.

I hope a big storm takes down that treehouse. It is a deathtrap and I shudder to think which child will crawl over the rail first.

Willow said...

I don't watch anymore and this is another reason why. I read somewhere that others from the family went down with Ben and Jessa but may not be shown. Will someone who watches please let us know if anyone else shows up in tomorrow's episode besides Ben, Jessa and Spurge? Thank you SO much friends.

I have often wondered how the Duggars get away with not having their kids vaccinated or get the inoculations needed for the travel they do to countries like CA? I realize that Josie needed to have immunizations due to being a micro premie. Michelle made a big deal out of explaining to viewers what a well check-up for a baby was, including the vaccinations she was seen receiving. I know they don't need immunizations when they are homeschooled. However, with all the various trips they have taken to 3rd. world countries, we still have never seen the rest of the family get these important inoculations. I was recently talking with my friend's husband, who is a retired minister & he enlightened me regarding them being able to refuse these inoculations. He said it's perfectly legal, although foolish to refuse these important vaccines on religious grounds. So who knows what virus the Duggars will bring back to the states. If they want to do that with their family, that's fine with me, but just the thought of those babies & their mom's possible getting the Zika virus & bringing it back to the States is appalling to me. We are already seeing signs of how virulent Zika is. I remember when they all had the chicken pox, which could have been avoided as that vaccines for chicken pox had been available even when Josh was an infant. I remember feeling so sorry & very upset when I saw some of those little ones with the pustules from the chicken pox in their eyes.Thye were very sick & of course no mom there, as she had to be with Josie. Jim Bob & the older girls had to give out the medication, but there was nobody putting them in clean PJ's & into a bed with clean sheets etc. It broke my heart to see them so sick & taking care of themselves.

Missy said...

For 2 people who went to CA to be missionaries, they certainly have had a great deal of guests. Whether they were a surprise, as suggested at one time, is anyone's guess. But we saw Derick's mom, Cathy there not that long ago, then Michelle & Jim Bob showed up, supposedly unannounced. Plus how many times have they been back & forth to AR? I have no idea why they are there, or what they are doing, but real missionaries usually work sun-up to sun-down, teaching people various skills, helping build homes & getting a clean supply of water, just plain activities of daily living as best they can with what they have.If anyone has seen Derick & Jill doing this missionary work, I wish you would share it with us.

Babiesonthebrain said...

So this is part one? Does there need to be a part two? It will probably be Jilly's memory lane. It is called filler and totally unnecessary. Talk about digging your own hole. TLC must have been roped into a certain number of episodes and then realized that had nothing to film to fill those episodes!

momtomany said...

I only watched a clip of the show but did anyone else notice the baby being left on the couch? Ben walked over to talk to the baby. Then later in the clip, Jessa and Ben were talking on camera about their trip and the baby was still laying on the couch several feet away from mom and dad??? Not sure how old the baby is but you should never leave a baby on a couch like that.

Ellyn said...

Re Ben & Jessa there's no fixing stupid

s said...

Couldn't miss the baby on the couch. These parents are ignorant and lazy. Put the kid in a pack 'n play for goodness sake. It isn't rocket science. Jessa is so cold toward her son. Ben is clueless. Guess Spurgeon will raise himself. Maybe someday he'll teach his mother how to cook and his father how to work.

Chloe said...

Geez enough & Painful to watch repetitive pregnancies, walk through, run through, sit through, stand through. Why does TLC subject viewers to this junk. Why do we have to continually listen to the Duggar girls discuss Josh's cheating? TLC is really desperate no creative team at TLC. This episode I wanted to toss a brick into thecTV. Ok I am now switching channels. Must first "walk through" or to the coffee table to retrieve the remote. Geez the Duggars SO FRIGGIN BORING!

Meme said...

Re: Jessa and Ben being careless, it is so frustrating. So many of my posts sound SO harsh and judgmental because the Duggars do such, well, frustrating things. They all believe, for example, that they are a great, strong, forgiving family who can put Josh's "bad choices" behind them. Um, I am not sure that Derick or Ben will be able to do that when Jill or Jessa has a baby GIRL.

Jeanette said...

Watching tonight, I was struck by several things. Ben was very serious. I can tell he really loves Jessa and Spurgeon, but he seems to be processing all of his life changes in a short period of time, Both grandsons look just like Jim Bob. Derrick's reaction to seeing Spurgeon the first time was both sweet and loving and unexpected.

Like her mentor mama Michelle said...

s, you learn what you live. Jessa learned what her mama taught her about taking care of kids. So sad.

JJ said...

TLC needs to find new producers for this show. There are many storylines that would have been more interesting than watching a live birth and seeing that flashback to Jim Bob giving a teen boy with no job or education or sense permission to court his daughter.

All of the money they (TLC) spent on flying all of those people and countless bags to Central America could have been donated to a worthy charity that puts in wind power, water wells and builds homes for those who need it. Show Jana and Joy building homes with Habitat for Humanity.

I look at Josie in a few years, and I will see a tired girl cleaning her brothers toilets, doing their dirty laundry and cooking for them. They will be there a long time. No woman will ever want a Duggar male that has been trained to not use birth control, see themselves as superior to women and live an uneducated life without real employment other than "pick up" jobs. I feel so sorry for those young girls.

Tori said...

Jill and Derrick seem to be "pretend" missionaries. Are they still begging for donations online?

I know some folks who are true missionaries and they don't ask for online donations; furthermore, they go somewhere and work themselves to the bone. I don't see that with Derrick and Jill.

Derrick should have kept his job with Walmart so that he could support his family without so much interference from the in-laws.

Roo Doo said...

Josie will NEVER be in charge of anything like cleaning toilets. She is a "precious miracle" and will never be subjected to anything as mundane as cleaning up after her brothers. Or anyone else, for that matter. Sister mom Jana will be there to pick up and care for the family long after Josie has grown and become a helpmeet for some Gothardite boy man.

In regards to the boys not finding anyone, I think they will. There are plenty of Quiverfull girls who would give their eye teeth to marry a Duggar. Scandal or no scandal. After all, Josh atoned for his sin and has been forgiven. And these poor girls have been programmed since day one to devote themselves to their head. Not having any marketable skills or drive to gain them will not deter future help meets from pursuing the Duggar boys. IMHO.

Leaving on a jet plane.... said...

Maybe Derick quit Walmart and left the country to put distance between himself and Jim Bob's control and the scandal.

Remember how the first time they left Jim Bob went over to say something to Jill and Derick immediately became very protective of
her.

What the heck was that about?

Jac&Jil said...

Why do Jessa, Jinger and Joy keep inferring that Josh's porn addiction and cheating on his wife are worse than being molested by him? It's tiring hearing it all the time.

Just Unbelievable said...

I saw the first 5 minutes of last nights episode & that was more than enough. I have said it before & I'll say it again, all the Duggars & now extended family, just slaughter the English language. Jessa's remarks about how the past yr. has been so difficult for her family, but she thinks it's been harder on her because "I had spoke out in support of Josh". Jessa, the correct sentence is either; "I had spoken out in support of Josh," or "I spoke out in support of Josh." It's not I had spoke out in support of Josh. Pretty much any way except the way Jessa said it. Then Ben, who is supposed to have graduated from a Community College said; "me & Jessa have been married a yr. & a half. It seems to me that others have corrected him about the way he always says; "me & Jessa" or "Jessa & me". For God's sakes, Ben it's not rocket science, you learn it in elementary school. All you need to do is take the word Jessa out of the sentence & you have; "me have been married a yr. & a half." Same with saying Jessa & me all the time. Take out Jessa & you have," me have been married a yr. & a half." So the correct sentence is Jessa & I have been married a yr. & a half, because if you take Jessa out of that sentence, you still have a proper sentence; "I have been married a yr. & a half" Sorry everyone but I now have a migraine headache, maybe me & my husband can get some asprin for my headache.

TLC loves it that this clueless clan of uneducated weirdos are so smug that they think people watch because they adore them. If any of them has a lick of sense they would realize that they are on there and people watch because they cannot believe that there are really people out there walking around.....and many watch for the comedic aspect.

Auggie said...

Roo Doo - I completely agree with you. With all the large Quiverfull families out there (we've seem the home schooling conferences in Big Sandy) there's probably lots of girls dreaming of the Duggar boys. And yup, I also think Josie will be favoured and not have to take care of her brothers. Jennifer and Jordan will pick up the slack for her.

Lydia M said...

As one who during college, majored in English & Journalism, It was excruciatingly painful to watch & listen as the Duggars & Ben chose to destroy the English language. Every Duggar girl as well as Anna cannot speak unless they choose to inject the word "LIKE" into Every Sentence. The recent dining event in Branson is a great example of just how lame & uneducated these girls are at this time in their lives. How could one not know about scalapinni? Anna is so obsessed with marriage & babies she has zero current event skills as do the other Duggar girls. Anna is just a huge Bore! I also believe Anna is not very intelligent. The horrid Lack of manners exhibited by the Duggar girls at this lovely restaurant was atrocious. I couldn't believe that several of the Duggar girls chewed food with their mouths open. I am surprised a camera person filming this event didnt say something or provide a brief lesson in correct table manners. I watched in shock & then decided I will never never again watch this train wreck or travesty. I TLC is delusional if they believe Americans are interested to watch hillbilly's on parade, uneducated adults who are lazy, uneducated young Moms who are clueless regarding care of babies, pretend missionaries & Dumb Duggar parents. This program needs to IMPLODE & SOON!!

I am not a Duggar broodmare said...

That is exactly what I believe will happen. Little Miracle will always be the baby and treated as special. She was 6 in December. Are they still acting like she is 18 months old? (I don't watch the Duggars "Broodmare Parade" so I have no idea what goes on there, except for what you all post.

I didn't watch the reunion show, but heard that Ben and Jessa talked about why they kept their first kiss private. The better question would have been how did they talk about the decision when they were never alone. Those type of questions may be interesting.

I don't know where Michelle grew up but I know that Jim Bob attended public school in Arkansas where children ARE taught to read, write and spell correctly. I promise you! (Where did I hear that Jim Bob was a poor student?). Anyway, my mother was right. People DO judge us by the way that we talk. Too bad those kids never got much of an education. Their parents believe that higher learning is a waste of time.
BTW, Just unbelievable, you are a hoot! Me and my husband will be looking for more of your hilarious posts!

Just Unbelievable said...

I simply cannot believe the ratings this show is pulling in. It was exactly what every blogger said it would be..constant repeats of Jessa, courting, wedding, pregnancy, giving birth. Just unbelievable, that so many have watched. Guess Nancy Daniels is pretty comfortable in her position at TLC, after saying there are so many that want to know what the girls lives are like now. By the way Nancy it wasn't exactly what their lives were about now but more like a trip down memory lane. We don't need to be reminded with a trip down memory lane these are recent events.

Sharon said...

The way it's been told is Michelle went to public school and Jim Bob went to Shiloh Christian.

Denisean said...

I don't understand Nancy Daniels saying that people want to know "how the girls lives are now". What does she mean, now? Since their brother cheated on his wife? (Because remember, they all got over the molestation years ago.) How would that really affect their everyday lives? I know people in my life would be worried about how I was doing if my brother was unfaithful to his wife (roll eyes). People wanted to see how *Anna* was doing, and now we know she is not leaving and will forgive him, so that story is over.

Let me tell you how their lives are (and will be even if they cancel this show and do a 'where are they now' show in 10 years)...
The adult kids will be married, and they ALL will have waited to kiss until their wedding day (we don't need to see each courtship and wedding, because they will all go the same way).
Then they will have babies, one after another.
The men will work for JimBob (and I use the term 'work' loosely).
Jana will not be married because she will be doing all the housework and childcare for her parents (if by some miracle Jana does get married, then it will just be one of the other girls who fills this role, so nothing to tune in for there).

We already know how they live and will continue to live. We don't need weekly updates of their completely boring, mundane lives, that shows no one doing anything.

Susie said...

Nancy Daniels (TLC) needs to quit exploiting children on these shows. They are clearly acting without work permits or any kind of legal protection.

Liza J said...

Just think about 12 years from now when the television show is a thing of the past and the little ones are adults. Will they still be under Jimbob's control, adults sitting around the house doing nothing much because the outside world is sinful? (Like Ben) Will unmarried ones still need accountability partners when leaving the compound when they are in their 30's, 40's and beyond, making certain they do not hold hands, kiss or do the front hug? Will the Dugger men, bald, paunchy from not working, they still yell Nike and hang there heads when seeing a sexy woman? Will the unmarried ones continue to sleep together in the dorms, never having any privacy or a room of their own? Who will marry these uneducated boys with no real jobs, unable to support a family and no longer "stars" on TLC? The freak show is just beginning.

Just Wondering said...

I just saw the first 5 minutes of this weeks episode. They were showing Jinger making a speech at the dinner the night before Jessa's wedding. When she was speaking she said, she was so "unworthy to be the maid of honor." I can't believe these kids are taught to think they are unworthy because they are the one who was picked to be maid of honor. I know Jessa was very close with Jill, but Jill was pregnant & so indisposed by her pregnancy, that Derick had to paint her toenails, so you really couldn't expect her to exert herself to be maid of honor!

The Duggars are basically Low Rent behavior & mentality. Nancy Daniels needs to find another occupation.

I'm afraid nothing would please Dim Bulb and Me-chelle more than children perpetually stuck in some sort of pseudo adulthood, complete with shared bedrooms and accountability partners. Dim Bulb and Me-chelle need their adoring fans (AKA their children), to forever fawn over them, while telling them what great parents they are, it is entirely to feed their narcissistic personality disorder. The parents narcissism is what created the 19 children in the first place. Michelle loves the attention lavished on pregnant and nursing mothers, and in turn, she just kept getting pregnant and pregnant again. It wasn't about her children, it was about her and providing Jim Bob with proof of his virility. It's really gross to think too much on the Duggars. I just hope the adult daughters eventually become free and don't suffer from the same mental disorder as their parents. Jessa for sure is a narcissist, the other's I'm not entirely sure.

I still don't understand the comment that Jinger said she was so "unworthy" to be maid of honor. I guess I can't keep all the kids straight,& who is who's buddy.I must be getting senile. It doesn't matter a bit to me who is closest to whom. I just don't understand the "unworthy" comment.

This episode, IMO, was a waste of time. It wasn't more than rerun old footage that we have seen ad nauseum. Nothing much new. I'm bored to tears and with they would see the writing on the wall and fade away in the sunset with SOME dignity. Quit before you are really run off the screen, guys. We also are so tired of having to listen to all of the speak in platitudes,, they just don't have the ability to express themselves without having to use those old tired phrases. Evidence to me that they don't know how to think or speak for themselves...So sad for them, their parents should hang their heads in shame for what they have done to all of their chidren if you ask me.

I just love the fact that since Jessa & Ben are taking baby Spurgeon to CA, Ben thinks they will need to watch out for insect & germs. Geuss it's not something they need to concern themselves with when they are in AR or anywhere in the USA.

Has anyone else noticed that all of a sudden, in these recent episodes, which I have watched in repeats, John David is now musing about his future wife & children. Never has he ever mentioned marriage, or children of his own before, except for the one time he said he could move into his own house, a house he himself owns, not Jim Bob, once he's married. They are trying to get the boys to talk but they have nothing of interest to say. Imagine Jed & Jer. making a decision about a husband for any of their sisters. Nancy Daniels are you even watching any of the programs you are putting on TLC, or have they finally locked you away, far away?

Oh Ben, your dorky dorky hat with the chin strap! No words!

I give them a pass on not knowing what scalapini (pardon spelling) is. Unless one is a frequent diner at upscale restaurant, the average person wouldn't know that. I don't give them a pass on table manners.

There is no conversation from these young people, but babies, etc. They are all eligible to vote, but there is never any discussion on their political views. One would think that in this election year, there would be some interest. How very boring they all are. They really cannot sustain this format for any length of time. When the little ones were on, they were at least charming and funny. Jessa talking about adoption is Laughable. That is just something to add to the conversation. She is a lazy girl. The married girls seemed to have learned from Michelle's example. Have the children and let others do all the rest of the work.

Ben was so funny looking like boy scout wearing his jungle hat with chin strap, all dressed up for his big CA adventure!!! Why is he always wearing hats in the house? Jessa seemed displeased with the floor mattresses accommodations. I would be too as there must have been critters running around at night on the floor since we've been shown the photo of the big cockroach next to Izzy eating on the floor. How long are they going to be escaping in Central America? what does Jill do all day as she's not posting any photos of her activities. After the first exciting weeks living in hotels, this settling down alone in a house must be such a depressing culture shock for Jill after her isolated childhood. Her messy house could sy she is very depressed not being able to share this first child with her family, being away from her younger siblings, living faraway in a dangerous location with a husband who has turned into some weird, wild eyed, dirty looking man she must give herself joyfully to whenever. I admit I feel sorry for her. Now wonder Jana is unmarried. She's seen the terrifying births, Anna's ordeal, Jill being forced to live in Zika land so she might be fearfui of what a husband would force her to do. The lesser of the evils is for her to stay safely put in the world she knows.

Derick doesn't look well enough to expect Jill to make herself joyfully available so maybe that is why Izzy, the honeymoon baby doesn't have a sibling, yet.

Also, I think Derick may have loved all of the engagement and wedding adoration but may have not cared for having to lie at the staged scenes.....Like when Jill claimed she kinda stole one of Muchelle's pregnancy tests.Maybe unlike the others that bothered him to deceive people. No, what an I thinking... He set up a site to rake in money for mission work.

I feel Ben & Derick were excited to be lured into the family and have instant fame. Now the reality if day to day living has set in, especially with Ben. He's so much the little boy caught up in a situation he is not ready for. I remember his mother's shock when Michelle said that by next year she could be a grandmother and so the baby happened. Now lazy Jessa is talking about adoption and he does't even have a job and is living in a family owned house. I felt is was awful the way Jimbob had Ben living in the shed so he could be near Jessa, pushing the boy into a quick marriage. Any normal parents would have said, "no way, our boy is a teenager, he's going to college first. He's not going to live in your shed, give up further education to be rushed into marriage to get your girl pregnant."

I agree, Miranda. The thrill of "going all the way" with Jessa may be not worth the dull and dreary life Ben leads. I feel he's going to make a break for it one day soon.
