I remember this trip. Josh rides a dolphin and I think Hannie got to touch it. It was likely the impetus for Hannie's talking-head remark on one of the episodes in the first week; they do recall sessions with film. Her response was a total non-sequitir in context of that particular episode, but she'd probably just been shown footage of the aquarium trip. The girl has a very curious mind and seems to associates things like I do; given the chance to expand her curiosity and connect her knowledge, she could be a future Ken Jennings on Jeopardy.

Maybe by the time she's around HS level and her parents are in their late 50's and becoming totally hands-off, Hannie will have a chance to learn whatever she wants and go to a REAL college and RIDE that dolphin for herself, on her own terms.

Gross, they let Josie get so close.

Poor Mack. She was only one at the time and should of been taken out of the room.

How does Josh know what a Jurassic Park experience is? I thought they only watch educational videos and Andy Griffiths shows.

Maybe Josh reads :-) And I think it was Jessa who has seen documentaries about penquins. It's nice to see that the kids do have more everyday experiences than what is shown on '19 Kids and Counting.

I see very little difference between the Duggars and the fish in the aquarium.

There are too many fish in the tank (as compared to nature), the fish are not shown to have much intelligence, and, finally, they just swim aimlessly around day after day while other people gawk at them.

Oh, except the Duggar Patriarch gets paid handsomely to dictate that his 'school' (loose use of any educational term when it comes to the Duggars) of 'guppies' continues to swim aimlessly for the crowd so that Daddy can cash in.

Aquarium fish = Duggars = Aquarium fish.

I doubt they saw soul-surfer. I saw it very good movie, but lots of Nike moments.

Joy Anna looked absolutely spent of all energy in this episode (now that I've seen it again). Hannie appears to be so smart and spunky. I really hope that she does not have all of that squashed out of her by her parents.

Of course, Jim Bob just had to name the fish he 'adopted' Jim Bob.The total conceit of that man!

I felt defrauded seeing the men in the wetsuits.
