Well, what could Jessa and Ben's even bigger surprise be? We know she is pregnant as it was already announced. Twins??? Or Ben is going to get a job? Yep, the latter would be a huge surprise.

Wednesday said...

Another "surprise" party? Yawn...The amount of parties these people throw, I would think not having another one would be the surprise.

Heart in Florida said...

It's ridiculous that we already know that Jessa is having another baby. TLC needs to not be so far behind real time. Step it up TLC..
I also find it silly that the Duggars haven't announced Jinger's wedding date and location. They also, could announce, if this is the case, that the wedding and reception is by strict invitation only due to seating, etc. and that they strongly request that those uninvited "dear friends" do NOT show up at the venues. Why can't they do that? Don't their fundamentalist friends have good manners to respect this?
IF the Duggar/Vuolo wedding is following Italian custom, the bride and groom do not have a gift registry for MARRIAGE,..they receive money (cash, checks) as gifts at the reception and place their gifts in the "bridal purse" during the reception line time. Item gifts are usually given at the bridal shower...they aren't cheap measuring spoons, either..it's your good china and every day china, sheets, towels, etc; although they aren't giving themselves enough time to even enjoy being engaged and having the traditional engagement party; put on by the parents, usually in a restaurant's private room.

Such old news!!! Why would anyone watch?

Meme said...

So Jinger's getting married and all of the jealous sisters must do something to get a foot back in the spotlight with her. Even Michelle will do something... like bring out her old wedding dress again.

I recently reread the old Jim Phillips post and got good and mad all over again. It reminded me why I boycotted the show - all the hideous gritting, etc. Jimbob and Michelle have already made their way back onto the show, I'm sure that Josh isn't far behind. Welp, I won't be watching Jinger's wedding or any more footage. And anytime I waiver in this decision, I will remind myself that none of the Duggars have to get up early and go to work tomorrow like I do. Must be nice. Must be very, very nice.

Willow said...

I think Jinger is getting the short stick, at least so far. We'll see in the long run. It seems like Jill and Jessa got a lot more attention for their weddings, showers, etc. Jinger is getting relatively little screen time in comparison, or so it seems to me. Its probably all going to be on next season, even though it is happening now, so we will see what they do. I think they are losing fans from lack of any info coming out.

Betty said...

Jessa's big surprise!! Ben has a job, she is cooking and cleaning now and will have her baby safely in a hospital. NO, that's too much of a surprise. Most likely she has found a new flavor coffee or got a free certificate to ChickFilet.

pookiebear said...

She doesn't seem to be flaunting this pregnancy all over social media like the 1st one. Wonder if it is twins and they are trying to hide it for ratings. It will be interesting to see after this episode if that changes.

Aunt Bea said...

Jinger's engagement, sorry to say, is getting to be old news. With each subsequent "courtship, engagement and wedding", it will get less climactic for this family and it's publicity surrounding it..(except for Jana's wedding).

Smokey said...

So Jessa's news is that she is pregnant (yawn) News would be that she is leaving quiverfall, divorcing Ben, writing a tell all, going to college, deciding to wear jeans. Being pregnant for a duggar is not news. You would think that with 19 kids one would want to be different but they are all like cookie cutters. There are 5 of us in my family and we are all different. Some went to college, some got married, some didn't want to get married. Some wanted to have kids, some didn't want kids. Some go to church, some don't believe. It just baffles me with the Duggars.

Aunt Bea said...

I agree with "Smokey" about another Duggar pregnancy isn't news, it's something to expect sooner rather than later. I'm sure they were already aware of this child on the way. This TV show is mostly re-enactments of events that have already taken place, like Jinger's "surprise roof top proposal", where the marks on the floor are visible in the pictures. I wonder how many times they had to do the blocking for that scene? Just fess up, TLC and Duggars....tell the truth about yourselves and this "TV show".

Heart in Florida said...

Is that all this family does socially? Ice cream socials? How boring. I'm sure they already knew and if they didn't know yet, the "clue" was that Jessa had an announcement and that it'll be revealed in another ice cream social... This belief system has most people in it, adults and all living life as children, with children's activities. Remember the "high school graduation" party? It was filled with children's birthday games, organized by Jana, a woman of 26. Jill and Jessa's "wedding reception food"?...children's carnival snacks, and another ice cream social for Jessa's wedding. Please be more original. Couldn't Ben have dragged out his BBQ grill and had a decent barbecue for the family, even if it were only hot dogs and hamburgers?

Willow said...

Heart in Florida: Because they are the laziest people ever. They still have a child's brain. Its too much work to grow up. Lol.

Ok, I noticed in the sneak peek of next week's exciting episode of 'Dragging On', Jill looks pregnant while sitting on the couch next to DerickDillard. And BengermanBenSeewald is playing 'the it might be twins'line...(again)...whilst discussing Jessas pregnancy.

Re:Smokey's comments. Don't be baffled by the Duggars. It is now a scripted show.I have said for a number of yrs. now that with the Duggars you just have to follow the money. As far as TLC goes, they couldn't be more disgusting than to bring back a "reality show" that they said would only have the young adults & how often are Michelle & Jim Bob, as well as Anna showing their faces? Boy are they all proud of themselves that they have been able to sneak back into the show. I'm jut furious at myself too, because I fell asleep with the TV on & somehow the channel was turned to the Duggars tonight. So when the numbers come out, you can actually delete at least one viewer. I would never have watched them as I know everything that's going on in their lives from social media.

Ridiculous said...

Re: Tasie's question. I thought the blond lady was Jim Bob's sister Deanna but I could be wrong. They did hide her face but they hide the faces of a number of people in the grocery store. I'm sick of hearing from Derrick about how dangerous it is in CA. Didn't he know that before he went there & took his family?

Wendy Heusel said...

do not believe anything about what ben and jessa say. she will have one kid wants attention like she did the first time.

I think the blonde person was Deanna, Jim Bob's sister. During that ice cream social, she was sitting on the couch next to Mary Duggar.

Heart in Florida said...

I'm annoyed that none of thee kidults give a definitive answer to a straight question, for example, when Jessa was asked about the number of children she expects to have, she waffled between adopting most of them, maybe I'll have 19 myself, OR NOT. That's no answer. All of them do it and it's annoying.

Reality shows are loosely scripted, so I don't take issue with it. I did cringe when they stuck the 15-month-old in the tiny infant bucket seat when he was clearly too tall and likely over the weight limit. I hope they don't use it again for the next one. It was probably more for containment, but since a film crew was there from the US, they could have brought her an appropriate child seat for the ride to the airport. And I hope they get some baby gates or a play cage for that big house. While I question their lifestyle and parenting choices, they really don't offend me like the Gosselins' show. It's a diversion with a plot line that's easy on the brain. I'm sure the empire will crumble if Josh is "forgiven" by Anna, they're on borrowed time. I actually thought "This is Us" was on at 8, so I needed some filler. I won't make that mistake again!

Putting an active, water-loving toddler(s) in a house with a pool and not providing any safety measures like a tight pool cover, pool fence, pool alarm, raised deadbolts on all doors leading to the pool is a TRAGEDY waiting to happen. His parents are not bright and all it takes is one split second of taking your eyes and attention away from him.

GET SAFE AROUND THAT POOL!!!!!!

I can't believe that people are falling for Ben's stupid comments about "twins". It wasn't twins the first time & it won't be twins this time or probably any other time.

Just ME said...

Please give me some help about the houses the married kids are living in. Jessa is still in the little house. Jill is in the "guest house" which somehow I didn't even know existed until a couple of weeks ago when Jana was decorating. Who is living in the big house that Jill & Derrick lived in after their marriage before they went to CA.? Could Anna & Josh be living in that house? If so what a reward for his behavior. Yes I understand that they need a place for Josh & his family to live in but I hope he didn't get Jill's original house.

Aunt Bea said...

Opie: Thank you for your safety post. The Duggars have been reckless with their children as we have observed. Now I guess TLC will have to pay for protection around the pool. Don't expect Jim Bob to pay for any.

Heart in Florida said...

Anna is as useful as "you know what" on a bull. They don't need to stick her in scenes and THs unnecessarily. This show is NOT about her and her family. Doesn't she have any laundry to do with 4 kids at home, any cooking, cleaning or homeschooling? I would have NO TIME to help paint furniture for someone else's home and visit. Including Anna is pointing out the elephant in the room, re: the Josh situation. They should remain silent and off camera...hopefully Jim Bob and Michelle will remain out of sight and out of ear shot too. don't want to hear from them, either.

What announcement? That Jessa is pregnant? That's news??????? Honestly the most boring show in the history of ever. I'd rather watch water boil. These people make me lose brain cells. Is TLC trying to make them seem boring so they can drop the show or is this family truly mind-numbingly boring?

Andrea said...

Jessa: "We were both excited and surprised because Spurgeon was just a little over six months old. For my sister-in-law Anna and for my sister Jill, they didn't get pregnant right off...and so, I guess I'm built more like my mom." Please close you're mouth and go away. It's nothing to be proud of. Does she seriously not understand how conception happens? Have unprotected sex in your early 20s is pretty much a guarantee you will end up pregnant. Honestly, this group has got to be the dumbest ever to appear on TV.

Andrea said...

Joy: "I could see Jana opening up a home decor business." WRONG. Never going to happen. The women child, Janna, is basically an indentured servant to her parents and man-boy siblings. Sad but true. Why appear on TV and make it seem like you or your siblings have aspirations beyond housewife and homeschool un-educator?

Meme said...

Andrea I guess that Jessa thinks that baby-havin' is a competition and she's winning. It's all she's got. Jessa's always been like Daddybob, smug and so sure that she's smarter than everyone else. Jessa, you may be right. Maybe you graduated at the top of your class there at Duggar Academy. Did you win a prize?

For quite a while now I have felt that Jill seems to be depressed. Has anyone else gotten this feeling? I just get the strong impression that she is so disappointed in her life. She never seems genuinely happy like she used to (when she was engaged and first married)

Smokey said...

I know the show is scripted. What baffles me is nobody wants to do anything different. They all wear the same clothes, they all follow the Gothard script and get married and then pregnant. They all want to have lots of kids. None want to go to college. None want to work outside their family. With the amount of kids they have you would think at least one would want something different out of their lives. That is what I don't understand. I know they are brainwashed by their parents but when they become adults they can see more of the world and make their own decisions and so far nobody has done anything different. The Duggars do have an advantage over other quiverfull people, they have seen the world plus they have more money to try out things. I would just love to see one go to a non-fundie college or something instead of the same old story line we are pregnant. I am courting. I am getting married. I am popping out a million kids.

Beyond Belief said...

Re: Andrea's comments on Jessa saying that her sister in-law Anna & sister Jill, didn't get pregnant right off. I thought Anna was only married 4 months when she became pregnant with her first child & Jill had a "honeymoon baby." For the second baby, Anna had actually had a miscarriage between Kenzie & Michael, followed almost immediately by baby, Michael. I believe Jill must have ben using some form of (horrors) birth control after Izzy, while living in CA. due to the virus going around as well as the many other issues. You know how Derrick keeps talking about how you can get shot if you go outside. She was also just recovering for an emergency C-section when they left AR & went to CA. I wonder how many pediatrician's Izzy saw while there? Did he get the usual baby shots. They really play fast & loose with their baby's health & safety. I remember when Josie was having well baby check-ups & Michelle explained to us how important it was for a baby to have these shots, although we never saw any of the others go to the Dr., except in the case of a couple of accidents.
On another topic did anyone else think Ben was a rude idiot to complain abut the restaurant they went to after the engagement announcement? I'll bet he didn't pay a dime towards the meal, which is fine because it was Jeremey's treat. He wanted to show off a favorite restaurant. It wouldn't have been my choice either, but I would never complain if it was someone's else' choice & treat. Wonder if Ben left a tip for the fortunate waitress who waited on them. They used to leave pieces of paper with a scripture on it to express their appreciation. Sort of like the one thousand dollar bills they used to pass out to people. These people don't have any manners or class. Ben may be entertaining to some but I can't stand him. He really thinks he's just as great as Jim Bob. I guess they all deserve each other.

Anybody else noticed how Jana was vehemently shaking her head when Joy suggested that the next ones to court could be John or her?

It's possible that now that her siblings are all about 6 yo and able to mostly manage Jana has no interest to going back to taking care of newborns even if they're hers.

Heart in Florida said...

I didn't think from the get go that it was a wise idea to take an infant child to a third world, war torn, country. How can they take Izzy to a place that doesn't have good water to drink nor milk they can count on? He is waaay too old and aware to still be nursing...also, since when is nursing a replacement for water? I don't think it is. Derick is an idiot for living this lifestyle at this time in his life and this is what Jill gets for marrying a man she didn't know. Yes, she looks absolutely miserable and I think that Jessa is, too, underneath it all. She now sees what a child Ben still is at 21 years old in comparison to Jeremy and even college educated Derick. We all know how "happy" Anna is with her prize-package husband, Josh-U-a. So, I don't believe for one minute that this family's philosophy is a good one in the least.
The issue I have with the career choices of Jim Bob's sons is the obvious face that they don't have any choice at all in continuing any real education nor do they have the option of applying for real jobs outside of their family. I don't understand, as a parent of sons myself, why someone would do this to their own children and as a mother, how stupid Michelle can allow this to happen to her children. Don't these two big brains see the crash that's coming for their children who won't ever be able to move out, married or not and support themselves let alone a wife and numerous children?
Jill should let Derick return to CA if he wants and she can go back to her father's house and let Jana run after Izzy for her. She's too timid to have a real talk with her stupid husband and let him know that she DOES NOT WISH to return and leave the ball in his court. What's wrong with Cathy, Derick's mother? Why won't she open her mouth and BE HIS MOTHER, grown up and married son or not and let him know that in her opinion, he's not doing the right thing for his family. Also I would think that Derick is being "totally" selfish here. Doesn't is ever dawn on him that the stress his mother is experiencing in the worry about them down there day in and day out is bad for her health and continued remission? Stress does a number on the body and Cathy's is no different. Derick is such a jerk. I hope his brother, Dan and his fiance' are normal people and have a NORMAL wedding and life together. At least Cathy would have one normal relationship in her household I don't know about her present husband, who is still a stone face. Did anyone notice his face at this airport this time? Just like last time and at Jilly's wedding...no expression, looking bored to death and that he couldn't care less...why did she marry him and why did he marry her? The man looks miserable and seems to be ignored by Cathy. Anyone out there know?

Meme said...

Smokey, VERY well-said. I'm baffled too.

Most of us knew who the "strict families" were when we were growing up. You know, the ones who never had sleepovers and mostly kept to themselves. Yet even in the strictest of families there was sometimes a rebel who split - by leaving town or going "wild" or marrying someone inappropriate, etc. You'd think that one of the Duggars would muster the will to do SOMETHING other than the Gothard "path", to use a Duggar term. Personally, I remember wanting some time for myself to figure out WHAT I actually wanted - before college, marriage, kids, weddings, or any of that. I don't get these girls. Like you said, Smokey, they have seen the world. But they apparently want no part of it. Ladies, remember when we decided we'd rather stay home on the phone rather than go out with the parents to dinner? Ha! I always assumed that this was the natural progression of things. I loved my siblings as much as anybody but we all went our separate ways on Friday nights! Keep little sister away and ignore big brother if you see him out with his friends. Who doesn't desire their own friends and their own life?

Getting Worse said...

I have to agree with Heart in Florida's comments about Anna, Michelle,& Jim Bob appearing in the show. After all, we were told by TLC that Anna, Michelle & Jim Bob would not be in the show. What purpose did Anna have for being in the episode? One of the recent ones, I don't remember which one, all she did was count on her fingers how many days Jana had to get the house ready for Jill. Although Michelle did look just lovely in the mustard-yellow color shirt. Jim Bob wasn't wearing a matching color but they sure make themselves stand out by the bright colors. I agree, they probably buy yards of fabric & make the same shirt in every color. Michelle is by no means modest. She calls attention to herself every time we see her. I can't remember the last time she wasn't wearing one of those bright color shirts that sometimes match Daddy's. It's such a shame to see all the little Duggars following in the footsteps of their parents. Those little girls think all there is to life is a husband & babies. I wish they had a chance to see shows such as Sesame St. I wish they would sing hymns like, Jesus Loves Me instead of I'm Washed in The Blood of The Lamb, I Am. Do they even understand what they are singing about?

Heart in Florida: Wow, you folks are saying everything I think & feel today. GREAT post, especially the part about Derick. Silly as this is gonna sound, I think Derick is showing us what he is thinking by his appearance. He was such a nice-looking guy when he first met Jill, but his looks have deteriorated steadily, and I am not talking about his teeth and/or jaw. I also don't mind a certain amount of facial hair on a man but Derick has been making a slovenly statement with his. And that ridiculous man-bun! IMO he is saying, "I am way cool, a hippy, and I am my own man. I am not Jimbob (can't fault him there), and I prefer to put my family at risk and do a pretend "job" rather than clean myself up and punch a time clock at Walmart. I am lazy and self-centered and immature. It's all about me and what I want." I'd wager that Derick's headbands are also a fairly new fashion statement.
Remember Jana saying she wanted to marry a man with dirt under his fingernails - someone she could work beside? I think she may be more than a little disillusioned with her brothers-in-law. Smart girl.

Very good posts today.

Regarding the rebels that naturally occur in families, we have to remember that Josh did rebel, though in disgusting ways, by molesting his sisters and then cheating on his wife.

Anna is in the show just to generate a pay check to support Josh's family of six.

Does anyone know where Josh and Anna are living?

1.) I do think that Jill is depressed. She has a man who keeps her at bay by not cleaning up.(birth control.)

2.)When Jill and her dad, Jumbo Duggar flew to meet DerickDillard didn't DerickDillard need a shave. I was thinking they went somewhere and had someone shave them.

3.)Re: Ben complaining about where Jeremy took them to eat....Uh, I don't think Jeremy paid for it. Remember that anything filmed is paid for by TLC, even if Jeremy picked it.

4.)As for the kids seeing the world...well they have BEEN to lots of places but they were marched around and had to stick close with Jumbo and his buddy because Jumbo on his own is pathetic. Remember when he went to try to figure out how to buy tickets for the subway?

5.)Derick's step-dad....Many people around here are familiar with the Duggars and are NOT at all impressed. More like disgusted and Derick's step-dad seems to be one.

I think gen up there has hit the nail about Jana not wanting to take care of any More babies.. my personal opinion, I think Jana is in secret Rebellion of Jim Bob and his expectations, trying to hold off marriage as long as she can and maybe the longer she waits the less children she'll end up having.. if that makes sense? And my other theory is maybe John David doesn't marry off because he feels bad leaving Jana there

Thanks, "Allana" for your comments. I agree with you, too. If you know about the Duggar family by living in closer proximity, please post here what the town's opinion, in general, has been and is now of them. Are you aware of Mr. Byrum and his take on this mess of a family? Thank you for your commentary.

Heart in Florida, I can shine a tiny bit of light on part of your question. The Duggars are not well thought of by many in NW Arkansas. They have been described as grifters, circus side show, degenerates, etc. Then there are many who don't seem to feel one way or the other about them. (Maybe they're used to them?). Not surprising to most of us on this forum is that they don't mix and mingle as much as they claim. I have zero info on Derick's stepdad but I will ask about him. No one that I know seems to know him. How many times can a girl say "know"? LOL.

Re:Allana's comment about whether or not Ben paid for the dinner in N.Y. I did say I didn't think he paid & I wouldn't expect anyone who was invited to a dinner in a restaurant to have to pay. It was Jeremy's treat but apparent I failed to mention that I felt TLC actually paid for the dinner. My point was more, that Ben should not have been critical of the restaurant that Jeremy wanted to go to. I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I thought TLC probably paid for the dinner. It's just that I feel it's rude to complain when someone invites you someplace that you might not go yourself. I guess I didn't make my point clear enough. Ben thinks he has taken over the entire show stepping into Jim Bob's shoes.

Just ME said...

Re:Allana's comment about Derrick's step-dad. I agree that Derrick step-dad is not at all impressed with the Duggar clan. I noticed him at the airport reception for Jill & Derrick but he's always very careful to try & stay out of the camera range. I don't know exactly how long he's been married to Cathy but I think he is just in a situation where he has a wife who is still really ill. I'm really sorry to say I don't believe for one minute that she is completely over her cancer bout. I think he goes along with Cathy to make her happy greeting her son & grandson but he doesn't have much use for the rest of the bunch. I take him for an outsider who see's everything Jim Bob is doing & doesn't like it one bit. I think he's just standing by Cathy. He probably never expected to see Derrick end up in this situation, the man bun, facial hair, sunken in eyes. I'm sure it's a burden on Cathy to see her son turning out this way just because he had Jim Bob Duggar for a prayer partner.

Just Me said...

Re:Heart in Florida's comments about Cathy & her husband. Why did she marry him, why did he marry her? She was widowed & often times, especially if it's a brief illness people make major mistakes after the death of a spouse. Selling their home right away, remarrying too soon. She knew her boys were nearing adulthood & she would be alone. Their world has been torn apart & if someone is kind & gives them affection they often remarry too soon. That's all I can think of with Cathy. I think her husband looks miserable because he is miserable. This is not what he expected out of this marriage, never knowing when a camera will be shoved in his face. He was probably a private person & expected to have a happy life with his new wife. However she became seriously ill,I believe not too long after they married & then his step-son's face is plastered all over magazines & social medial. No wonder he looks miserable.

1. I don't know that Jill is using birth control - I think that living in a place where they have poor access to nutritious and safe food AND still nursing a baby is taking a toll on her body. I expect she will become pregnant if they stay in the States for any amount of time.

2. How on earth do Ben and Jessa think they will ever adopt? They were told their youngest had to be at least 9 months old. If they keep having babies so close together it will be years before they have one old enough to adopt.

3. Did anyone notice that when Anna was listing the next baby there was (for the first time ever from her!) not a mention of her adding to the babies. She said Jessa's baby then Jill then Jinger but not her own. Maybe she has a bit of sense to know that she and Josh don't need to have "as many as the Lord will give them..."

I just watched the episode of the ice cream social & Jessa & Bens announcement of her pregnancy. When they were showing all the kids, a number of the older boys had on blue polo shirts. There was a very brief full shot only a second of a man standing in front of the fireplace. It really looked like Josh & not John, although I know it was from a distance. After that brief shot, he was only shown from the shoulders down for the rest of the episode. John was shown a number of times. Did anyone else notice this?
Also I now believe that Ben does have some college education as he informed us when they were babysitting Izzy & Spurgeon that it was more difficult to watch two children than just one. He sure is a bright young man isn't he?
Why do the Duggars have a mansion for a "guest house?" I would use Jessa & Ben's house for guest & let then live in the mansion but I guess they were saving that for Jilly her family when they returned.

I agree with poster " Almost", i too noticed that man standing infront of the fireplace and could have sworn it was Josh also! I do not have a DVR or smart tv so i wasn't able to rewind and look again. Glad im not the only one who noticed that! As for Michelle's reaction of shock at the pregnancy announcement, i call BullSh*T on that. Most girl's especially in the Duggar family are well in tuned to each other, and who doesn't tell their Mother's first when they find out they are pregnant? Jill claims she already knew just by looking at her, well, i can imagine that skype session and Jessa's smug look of satisfaction in proclaiming another pregnancy, having beat her sister in that race.

Re: Tanya T's comment about thinking it was Josh in front of the fireplace. You don't know how many time I rewound that brief shot. I am still sure it was Josh. After all if the entire family was going over to Jessa's for the ice cream social, wouldn't Anna & her children be there & how would they explain the absence of their father?

Meme said...

Almost - Jill probably thinks her child's behavior is normal. This is what I've never understood about the family. People talk about the children being so well-behaved. Yet we see them acting like crazy animals just out of a pen. I've seen WAY too many little cowboy boots scooted across that big dining table. Honey, my Southern Mama would've knocked the mud off the bottom of those boots with one quick motion. (And the child wearing them would've had to pick himself up outta the flower pot he landed in). Remember reporter Dan going for a visit? He was sorta horrified at the lack of supervision. Ah, well. If someone lands in a well or rips a gash in their face, Michelle will come running with a flashlight and a camera. She's real caring like that.

I just noticed something in the 'Jessa's Announcement,' episode - Jessa announced they were going to have Jinger shoot pictures announcing her pregnancy & they would put the picture in a frame to give to her parents/family during an ice cream social at Jessa & Ben's home. Question: what about the Seewald family/Ben's parents? Why weren't they at the 'ice cream social?' It's their grandchild, too!

Ben's family is probably relieved they don't have to deal with Jimbob & Michelle and those odd children at an "ice cream social". Why do they describe eating ice cream with the family in that manner? It sounds like it's a bunch of ladies at a church group.

Pleasy: I have been wondering what has happened to Ben's family also. We see Ms. Cathy (Derick's mom) from time to time, but haven't seen the Seewalds in a while. My mind is full of possibilities. Also, regarding "ice cream social". I agree. I think the "fundies" like to make everything in their life sound special. If they stop for Mc Donald's on the way home, they call it a "date". So odd. Maybe they just don't have enough really special events in their life so they have to make them up. Ha. Just speculating. Kind of annoying though.

I used to think Jessa didn't want kids and that she'd be a rebel after she married, pretending to be "trying" to get pregnant but using some type of birth control instead. It still surprises me that she got pregnant so fast and now I'm surprised that she's pregnant again. Maybe Jinger will end up being like I expected Jessa to be.

If I were Jessa, I'd be terrified to have a home birth. Hope she has the smarts to get herself in a hospital this time. She and Ben seem to know everything about everything in their postings so how about saving a mom's life by allowing her modern medicine in a hospital, not taking advantage of the emergency room in a dire moment.
