Jim Bob, Michelle, Jinger, Jessa, and Jordyn were on The View this morning. Michelle looked very good to me and Jordyn seemed to sleep through the whole interview.
I watched this episode on abc.com since I don't normally watch it. I was surprised to see them on such a liberal TV show. But I think it's great that they don't discriminate on which shows they will and won't appear on. Were Jinger and Jessa wearing jeans? I can't remember now since they just showed a really quick shot of the two of them in the audience. I don't think I've ever seen any of the girls in pants. If they were, I'm glad to see them stepping out and trying new things.
I watched the View too. I thought the women were really rude to the Duggars, asking her if she even has to push now? And telling JimBob to take a time out. WOW! Those are some of the rudest comments I've ever heard. I think the Duggars handled the whole thing with grace though. And that baby is SO CUTE!!
I agree that their comments were unneeded and rude. Especially the one about pushing. I think it was mostly from Joy. Elizabeth was very courteous and sweet to them. Joy is typically the most controversial one on the show.
I saw this episode, as well. I knew that Elizabeth would love them and Joy would make fun. I really don't like Joy at all. She's liberal (and that's fine, I am too) but she's very close minded (which goes against the very definition of the word liberal) about people who are religious and conservative. I was squirming at some of the comments she made but Michelle and Jim Bob took it very politely and in stride. Did anyone see Jinger's face when Barbara Walters asked if she and Jessa were engaged yet!? I love Jinger.
PU-lease! The VIEW is as far left as you can go. Again, the Duggars rose above this, and were graceful. Can we start a "JOY BEHAR WITHOUT PITY" website? Ugh, I can't stand that woman!
I am sure TLC schedules the trips they make and the shows they appear on. I wish Duggars would decide not to do some of the things that they are told to do. I want them to be respected, not made fun of. They are kind, gentle, sweet people. Let's just let them be that way.
I liked the View interview. I had always wondered about the "wedding rings" the girls wore and had never seen it addressed before. I have noticed, because I have watched the Duggars since their first TV special, that girls have become more modern in their dress. Less Little House on the Prairie and more stylish. Give Michelle and Jim Bob a little credit for not squelching this in their girls.
The Duggars were using the View to push their book and their lifestyle. No one forced them go; they knew full well what they were getting into. I thought they were treated very well and I love Joy Behar and found her comments hilarious. The Duggars do seem to love their children, but the fact is they are exploiting them for money. I can't respect parents who would do that. Who knows how it will affect their children down the road? That's sad.

Thank goodness they didn't take along their Wholesomewear swimsuits.
I've really had my fill of Jinger's facial expressions and mugging for the camera. It's turning into quite a forced performance.
Joy is extremely liberal and threatened by anything remotely Christian.
I was quite surprised that they would go on The View. I have nothing personal against The View but I just thought since they are so Liberal that the Duggars would not choose to promote their book on that show. I thought they were treated respectively except for Joy. She thinks she has to be a comedian in everything she says or does.
The rings that the girls wear has something to do with promising purity until they get married.
If you read their book you will see they are willing to be used in any situation to be a testimony of God's grace and blessings. The whole family sees themselves as servants. They don't need to do anything for money as they live debt free, NO LOANS. The only loan they've ever had is when Jim Bob bought their first home before they were married (19k). The "purity" rings? Read I Cor. 6 and 7 and you will find that our bodies are never our own to do with as we please. Our bodies belong to Christ and the "ownership" only transfers when you are married - then your body belongs to your spouse. The one ring is replaced by another. Last night TLC aired the episode where the Duggars went to be on The View and yes, Michele rose above it again. The Duggars go to great trouble to protect and teach their children. It's not easy to homeschool and not use the TV as a babysitter. I have the most respect for them, the don't compromise on ANYTHING!
