Anna's big surprise announcement had better be a new pregnancy or this show won't be renewed for another season.

Either that or she is giving him a one-year membership to Weight Watchers. I think they need that more than another soldier for God's army/blessing.

It has to be another pregnancy. They have gone too long between births on this show.

Are there any plans for them to be on the Today Show? Doesn't that usually happen every time their show the same evening has a pregnancy announcement?

I thought Josh & Anna already have a cat, actually they got as a kitten about a year or so ago, because they needed "help" with mice in their house. So is this a second one?, and if so, then what's the big deal?

I'm not anticipating much of anything concerning Anna's "big surprise", since it seems TLC has really been working the episode descriptions this season. Besides, reading this, they would definitely think fans would assume/hope it's a pregnancy announcement-so, how better to draw in maximum viewership numbers/ratings? I can see TLC ramping this up, and then the big surprise ends up being Anna taking Josh out to dinner.

I agree with Tulip. I do not trust TLCs write ups. I'm thinking the suprise is for Josh's birthday. A suprise birthday party held on the Duggar compound.

Surprise, honey! I signed you up for "The Biggest Loser". Time to lose that baby weight.

TLC is so lame. The first description for the episode left out the "Michael's first steps" bit, fueling the pregnancy speculation (not true unless she got knocked up in the last couple of weeks).

I think this board knows by now that pregnancy announcements are saved for the Today Show. Duh!!!! /eyeroll

I vote for the cat being pregnant. :)

I, too, think it may be the cat who is pregnant...oops, expecting.

I need to start DVR'ing these episodes. I can't stay awake to watch them to the end. They just don't keep my attention. So someone please post what the big announcement is. I"m sure they will keep it to the end and by then I'll be in dreamland.

The big surprise is just that Micheal takes his first steps. Obviously Anna surprises Josh by having Michael walk to him.

Mack seems like a good sister. She speaks better then her aunts."Don`t Pet Me". LOL.

Anna seems like a good mom(did love how Mack hurt her brother when Anna wasn`t looking)

The poor kitty being held by a 2 year old.

Josh the "owner" is playing with toys. Very Mature.

Josh needs to shut up about what sports hes good or isn`t at. Did they never learn to be "good sports"

So Josh and Anna get a kitten, keep it in the house for a couple of months, then turn it loose in the yard to fend for itself? Do they still feed the poor thing? What happens in the winter? We have seen that they get plenty of snow and ice. These folks do no need pets. They have no earthly idea how to care for one.

So I guess the kitty Anna has is from the renovation house they found all the cats in, thus why her and Josh's episode was first. Poor kittens. You could tell the kids were stressing him out. Too much grabbing at him. Anna, bless her heart.... I do know that Mackenzye is a bit mouthy, kind of bad. Anna should try to curtail that mouth before Mackenzye is running the show. Pushing Anna off of her and telling her "dont pet me" is kind of telling. Mack could be our rebel. She has a rebel quality about her. Josh is a joke. Humility wouldn't hurt either of them. His instagram really makes him look like a snob who thinks he is above them, as a USED CAR SALES MAN OF SUPER OLD USED CARS....

I have to agree, Mackynzie looks to be gaining momentum and seems to have a strong-willed streak. Anna is too quiet and baby-voiced with her, and laughs off a lot of her behaviors, ex. the "don't pet me!". As a mom whose been through the toddler years with 3 kids, one very strong-willed, I read that as Mack showing up Anna, telling her "don't show me how to pet, I can pet however I want." Also, when Michael was playing with the ball, Anna told Mack to share, but in the end, Mack still got the ball, and while she sat on it (sitting on it shows she took full control of the situation), she pushed Michael's hands away and he tumbled over (camera cuts to a new scene.)

Josh looks even heavier in this episode, and the comment at the bowling alley about "baked or fried" when showing that huge spread of greasy, fattening food? Please!, acting like he's concerned about the nutritional content? Jim Bob 'joked' that Anna's mom let him win...she probably did. First, they would never hear the end of it if Jim Bob lost, and second, it's probably the good Christians woman thing to do to make sure the man wins, so his leadership doesn't get insulted. And why, oh why, must Jim Bob & Michelle and Josh & Anna always kiss after every time they take their turn?

BTW, the Duggars giving themselves haircuts was really evident in this episode by the looks of James and Justin in their talking heads segment.

More use of the word fellowship! ughh

When they cut to the kitchen in one scene, you see somebody quick duck back by the fridge. It looked like it was Josh. Anyone else see that?

I wonder who it was?

Did they want to make it seem like it was Anna on her home for the segment?

When the manager made fun of Josh, it made me think if TLC is getting ready to let the real Duggars be shown.

To me, it seems so sad that they let a family think they are "all that" and then crush them by showing the public they aren't. Seems so sinister to me!

I literally laughed out loud when Anna was talking about how Mackynzie and Michael are best friends and right behind her Mack is face palming Michael to push him away from the ball. ;)

Yes, I also saw somebody back in the kitchen walking behind the fridge, although I don't think it was Josh-looked like a crew member, wearing a t-shirt and shorts. I think it's just sloppy filming. In a couple scenes before that, a crew member's foot (gray converse tennis shoe) was in the shot.

However, I did notice in this episode when Mackynzie was walking around in Josh & Anna's bedroom, and their closet was shown (no closet door), the writing on the front of boxes they had in there was blurred out. Remember a couple episodes back when a box with big, black lettering "CASH" was in plain sight? Guess they tended to that little detail after we brought it to their attention.

I'm glad they showed Josh goofing around with that remote control plane, because I don't really ever see him working, only acting like he does. The manager of the place, RD Chatman, is always shown working, and seems very intelligent, personable, and all-around strong work ethic-all things Josh does not appear to be. Josh throws his ego around, stating he has like 5 guys working for him now...actually they're the ones who know what they're doing.

tulip-great points. The gentleman at the desk doing the work seemed annoyed with Josh's helicopter flying, understandable. What I don't understand is- how can Josh afford to pay all these guys??? Is their TLC money footing that bill? What's going to happen when the show is cancelled? I doubt the family will be able to make any more income from books, unless they write a book about going through the loss of Jubilee.

Jim Bob and Michelle's fees for talks are upwards to 50K each, accoridng to the website someone posted.I can't imagine Josh and Anna could charge that much (if anything) for anyone to hear them speak, though. They might could do magazine articles and such, but I'm not sure anyone would be that interested.JMO.

Mack might be rebellious now, but that will all come to an end once she is old enough to be sent off to camp to have her spirit broken.

I too laughed so hard at the irony of this scene. Mackynzie is a spirited little girl. I could see Anna's embarrassment and frustration when Mackynzie said "Don't pet me". I wish Anna would know it okay for a toddler not to be the "perfect" child. I don't expect a 2 year old to be docile. I think she is right where she should be for her age.
