To celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary, Jim Bob & Michelle go on a triple date with Jill & Derick and Jessa & Ben and have a big surprise planned. Meanwhile in DC, Josh gets back on track with his fitness goals by running a 5K.

Once again, NOT INTERESTED.

I can already guess what Jim Bob "getting pulled over and handcuffed" is..so predictable. This is a set up (remember JD is a constable) so one of his law enforcement buddies acted like he was really pulling JB over for some infraction/violation and he was actually being taken to the 30th anniversary party. I bet dollars to doughnuts that's what's going on here...just quit all the nonsense and show the darned wedding already. Try to catch up to Jessa's nuptuals, too before Thanksgiving, please.

JimBoob will probably make a joke about taking the cuffs home. Heh heh heh, in his ultra creepy way.

Anonymous said...

Not interested.

I agree with anonymous 10/4@9:50am I have been saying the same thing about the set-up for the anniversary for 3 weeks now. This show is so transparent & ridiculous!

I wanted to like FreeJana's comment about the handcuffs, then I realized this is not Facebook, and I may have a bit of a problem. But yes, I'm sure he will make that, or some other, dirty, inappropriate comment.

Also, love the name.

They take such liberties with the timeline. Jim Bob and Michelle's anniversary is July 21, a month after Derick and Jill's wedding, so why are they showing that this week and we have not seen the wedding yet. No wonder people speculated that Jill was pregnant when she got married. She announced that after weeks of marriage and now almost four months later they still have a not broadcast the wedding. On the first episode of this season, there was text on the screen that said 11 weeks until the weeding, but it was Jill's birthday which is May 17 and only a bit more than 4 weeks to the wedding. Then this past week that text was on the screen again and said 6 weeks to wedding. I think they are telling us when they will show the wedding and it is still several weeks away. I don't think they will show Jessa's wedding until the finale of next season. Not sure when the birth shows will be, the baby will be walking by the time they show that.

Anonymous said...

Okay, I am confused. I thought they already did a wedding anniversary, and they ate tough steaks and watched a talent show and the children told their parents how wonderful they were. Or was that their 29th anniversary?

Anonymous said...

Weren't JB & Michelle married in July 1984 and Jill and Derick married in JUNE,2014? So as I figure it, Jill's wedding occurred one month BEFORE this 30th anniversary, right? Why are they airing things that supposedly occurred after the wedding that we still haven't seen? How dumb do they think we are?

Anonymous said...

RE Anonymous: 10/05 @12:01pm
I believe the dinner & talent show was just to show JB & Michelle, how much the kids appreciated how much the parents had "Invested," (a favorite Duggarism) in their lives.

Anonymous said...

Oh, the steak dinner and dinner theater the kids did was for "parents appreciation" day. Before the kids "moved on" as they said. Can't believe how much attention these two need from their kids. Don't they serve them enough daily as it is? I haven't seen anyone really move on, as Jill is local, beholding to her father for the roof over her head, visits daily, I'm sure, and Jessa, well, she'll be moving 50 feet away in that loft.
I still want to know just how do the parents serve their kids? No one responds to that one, because those parents don't serve their kids at all.

I wonder if Jana & the other girls get mothers' day cards on the sly lol they ought to

The Duggars show is losing steam. Its time to take this gravy train off the track.

The last time I saw someone "faked out" by a police officer and handcuffed was at a bridal shower where the police officer turned out to be a male dancer who then did a strip tease for the bride-to-be. Wonder if Jim Bob would appreciate something like that?

We don't need any silly sub plots on these wedding prep episodes. They are far enough behind as it is. I'm not interested in mountain climbing, racing silly toy cars, etc. Just show the damn wedding already.
Also as they play with time, I really believe upon reflection that Jill already met Derick and had started "something" with him by the way they familiarly greeted each other at the Nepal airport..A Duggar girl would have barely shaken his hand,(with Dad's permission, of course) and had an awkward quick side hug, for he really would have been a total stranger to her only seeing him and speaking to him via computer.
Also such a staged recreation of her "in love with someone she hadn't met yet". What were the cameras already doing there? They were recreating that scene, but she had already met him and this made for more romantic television,, IMO. What do you all think of this upon reflection now?
They were just too already familiar with each other.

Anonymous said...

Remember their "wait on the Lord" for things motto. Jill certainly didn't wait 2 months for Derick to return on his own to Arkansas. She popped over there.. they knew each other already. She didn't meet, court, marry and conceive in that short amount of time.JMHO

What have the Duggar parents given their children? Life. Remember they survived Roe V Wade! All of us non-quiverfull people just can't wait to line up at the nearest clinic(sarcasm), but somehow the Duggars were able to overcome that compulsion!

Anonymous said...

There is a Michelle Duggar Facebook page with a post dated in August (2014), and she's re-posted an article entitled "5 Reasons You Should Have Sex With Your Husband Every Night".

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Wow, just wow.

Anonymous said...

Since Michelle was never ever considering having an abortion, her children shouldn't wear those message t-shirts. It doesn't apply to them. It is asinine of them, including Ben, unless his mother didn't tell us something..

I wonder if JB will give his daughters and their guys the old "evil stare" when he realizes this handcuffing is a set-up

UGH! watching this right now lol. So disgusted!
The total 360 that has happened to the Duggars is crazy. In the episode Surprisingly Josh is wearing shorts when running the 5K?!?!
Also PLEASE someone let me know when they all made this modern shift? lol
To me it seemed like this happened all at once. Smart phone, internet etc.

Quiana said...

Jill does seem SUPER needy! She most likely hangs on to Derick, which is really sad. From total parent control to on your 'own' with your husband who you've never even had a private conversation with!! I'm betting as soon as they left the wedding and Jill and Derick had uncomfortable sex she got knocked up. Rushing into marriage so you can FINALLY kiss, hug and have sex is just beyond messed up.

It's such a shame to me that Jill and Derick never had any alone time to get to know each other on their own before throwing a kid into the mix. This kids marriage's aren't really built on a strong foundation at all! I see TONS of unhappiness down the road as their marriages age.

Watching this episode now. Where to begin...

-That stupid obstacle course! How ridiculous. I found Jimboob and Jichelle to be VERY condescending to both couples. These are 20+ year old adults being treated like 8 year olds.

-Why couldn't Jichelle demonstrate the obstacle course with Jimboob?

-Josh is so arrogant, thinking he's such a man that a 5k run will be no problem. People train weeks and months to be able to run races like that (yes, I believe even for a 5k); an out of shape, overweight guy is really that surprised that he took that long and had so much trouble?
BUT - I was happy to see him going against the duggar rules and wearing shorts!

-Ben & Jessa are touching pretty much from shoulder to elbow during their talking interviews, but Jim Bob made them use TWO sets of handcuffs so their hands wouldn't be too close? Unbelieveable.

-If I have to see those old photos of Michelle as a cheerleader, Jim Bob kissing her in front of the old car, etc, one more time, I think I'll scream. Or having to hear about their courtship & wedding one more time...

-I would LOVE for the parents to answer just why THEY were allowed to have a normal childhood/young adulthood, but keep all their children, including their grown adult children, on such a short leash.

I can't wait for all these garbage filler episodes to be finished and wish they would air the darn wedding already!

Why is the focus always on Josh's eating and exercise habits? Are women in these families not concerned with their health and held accountable to the same standards?

I don't believe Anna is as...."far gone"....as Josh currently is, but surely her health could also benefit from exercise and better eating?

I'm surprised they let jessa and Ben be handcuffed together considering they can't even hold hands yet.

CannedSoup with Peanut Butter and Jelly said...

It was refreshing to hear Ben say that the obstacle course was a little "silly" and Jill comment that she was a little embarrassed by being on the kids' playground.

Peanut butter and jelly for the picnic? How not romantic.

Riding horses, climbing up playground equipment in skirts---why or why do the women insist on being so uncomfortable when they don't have to be?

Anonymous said...

Just a word of advice to Josh if you want to run another 5K please invest in a sports bra

hello said...

Josh once again shows his arrogance when he said something aboot the girl in the tutu beating him. That girl probably runs more in a week than Josh ever has. I was really surprised to see him in shorts and he was around girls that were wearing shorts.
The triple date was just a train wreck. Maybe if Jimboob and Michelle trusted their kids to be alone with their significant others they wouldn't have to handcuff them together to teach them how to communicate. Then Jimboob had the nerve to tell them they didn't do too well. The whole thing was so staged.
It looks like Jill and Derrick get to see their new house on next weeks episode. The way they are dragging this season out, Jill will give birth and be working on baby #2 by the time they show the wedding. Is Jessa going to get a whole season devoted to her courtship, engagement, wedding planning and wedding? Or does only Jill get all that since she seems to be the favorite.

Anonymous said...

I don't think handcuff challenges are true tests for successful marriages. How about some true pre-marital counseling and communication for these sheltered kids?

Anonymous said...

To hello: yes I think Jill and Derick seem to be the favorites.

And on that note, I find Ben detestable, and I would not be able to stomach a whole season of his fawning over Jessa and planning their wedding. Plus his immature and argumentative history on the internet (ahem, those anti-Catholic remarks) makes me suspect the reason their registry doesn't have items flying off the shelves as did Jill and Derick's. And, maybe fans are already jaded from the first duggar daughter wedding, or Derick probably has mainstream friends in real life outside of the ATI homeschool circles.

We have seen Josh wearing shorts a number of times, ever since he got married. I remember when they went to Florida to visit Anna's family, & Josh wanted to learn how to surf. One of the crew members was going to teach him, & told him he would need to wear shorts & he did. Also when he & JB were working out with Steve the trainer, he wore shorts although JB was in jeans working out. So I guess if the occasion calls for it, he will now wear shorts. Guess having an executive position give you a certain amount of control over your own life. Of course Anna is still wearing those skirts, even when going skiing.

They served peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? They brought an elementary school kid's lunch because that's just what they all are...emotional elementary school aged children. Parents included.
It was a silly thing to do. Do they think that these skills would be realized, learned and in practice in one playground playdate? It also was a little "late in life" to bring forth these relationship skills as they church was already reserved. Ben and Jessa? Well, she's a bitch to Ben and all, so look out, Ben, he will blow his stack one day with her and deservedly so...they just want to "consummate already". That is NO motive for marrying. I'm tired of these parents naming themselves such paragons of wisdom. They are not that. If they were, their "adult kids" would be adults, able to support themselves and ready for marriage at the appropriate time and for the right reasons.

Anonymous said...

Jill was disgusted and embarrassed by this stunt and hopefully it will drive her closer to Derick and further away from Jim Boob.

I have no words for Jessa---she is just pitiful with Ben Boy.

These teaching dates are so ridiculous. I can't imagine parents this lame. They were treating these adults like the little ones.

Anonymous said...

I just couldn't watch. The triple date was beyond ridiculous, I had to turn it off. And how does Jana feel? Her two younger sisters are out on dates with the parents while she is home watching the little ones. Are they going to ever find a husband for her?

Anonymous said...

I wonder if Anna noticed that women train and run in 5K's? I wonder if she feels trapped behind the stroller all of the time? I wonder if she thinks her health is just as important as his?

Patsy said...

No, No, and No. My question is why does she feel the need to keep apologizing IMO by saying (multiple times)that she's ok with not being pregnant all the time or so soon after the 3rd one? Can we live in hope that after 2 boys & a girl that God decided that was enough for them to raise? Hands together everyone!

Mindy said...

Josh has been wearing shorts off & on, just about since he got married. He wore them to go surfing in FL with one of the guys from the production crew as well as a number of times when he was working out with his trainer Steve. Maybe he's slowly realizing he's not under Michelle & JB's control anymore. After all he's married a dad to 3 children.

Did anyone else find the whole business of cuffing the two couples together, taking them to a playground just too painful or ridiculous to watch? I wonder in their marriages how many times they will need to make sandwiches while handcuffed together, never mind climb on children's playground equipment. If that's their biggest problem good luck. I did like Jessa comment ,"who idea was this?" I think Derick was furious but tried to keep it under control. Finally, of course we were again subjected to JB's poor grammar skills when he said,"I want to see how good; YOU'OUS couples can work together. If those were my son's, my husband & I would have pulled them away for a day or two of some very serious talk about what(or who) they are about to face, for their married lives. That episode was about as far reaching as any I have ever seen.

I agree with anonymous who said "couldn't watch" I deleted both episode after 5 minutes after seeing the police and handcuffs were staged. No more Duggars for me. They are ridiculous in the way they are raising their children. The show makes me sick.

tater tot said...

Boy if this is all they have left to show they better marry off a few more grown children and get some new story lines. If thats even possible, don't think I want to see anymore live births. But even that is better than these last 2 episodes. I don't get the going over the health food etc with Josh and Anna that was covered before with Josh being over weight and at risk for diabetes seems they act like its all a joke. I guess anything to keep the TLC $ rolling in even at the risk of your health and the kids health. I just find that hard to swallow*no pun intended ;)*. You would think that "living to a higher standard" would include treating your body like a temple. Or atleast do it for your childrens sake. The handcuff fiasco was just downright stupid, TLC are you kidddding...to coin what another poster said.

Anonymous said...

If Anna valued her own health a little more, she would be doing some sort of exercise in the first place. But with three kids close in age, she probably doesn't have the focus time for herself. If she trained to jog or run, she would need a bra made of steel with all that breast feeding she has done nonstop. I hope they realize that 3 might be the magic number for them. She still has some time to tend to each of them and make them look nice and keep them clean but most of all, give them HER ATTENTION and LOVE.

no1 said...

Not buying it Anna. I think her speech about Duggars NOT having to be constantly pregnant is a direct response to multiple observations / criticisms written here and on othe sites.

It is known the the Duggars keep large stashes of pregnancy tests (Anna herself bought one in Chinia) and (Jill borrowed from her mom's supply) and are apparently compelled to test every 28 or so days.

Anonymous said...

RE: Free Jana's comment. I'm not sure about Jessa & Ben being married, but I'm sure they have kissed, at least I hope they have. Those rules in the Duggar household are just archaic. I totally agree that the handcuff episode was too painful to watch. Do you think the powers to be at TLC are doing the same thing with the Duggars as they did when they started to let us see the cracks in the Gosselin household?

Anonymous said...

Lord, I hope so. Maybe one of the two has begun using a contraception. As I understand it, if Josh made such a decision, Anna would have to accept it

Anonymous said...

I agree with No1's comment about not buying Anna's pregnancy validation comment. I too think it was in response to internet posts about these people. She is still wanting more, maybe 5 more, like her own family. I hope she has all boys then! What will she do when she has no one but Mac to help her out with childcare, etc? I also hope Jill and Jessa have boys upfront too.(healthy ones, of course). There's a flaw in Michelle's plan, isn't there.
If anyone might be willing to "pull the plug" on deliveries, it would be Josh IMO, as he bears the stress of providing for his family. Anna merely whistles while she cooks and doesn't know anything about finances, I believe. Does she know how to write a check or balance a checkbook? Has she done it for her household? I think she still needs to grow up some more although she has made some progress in that area. It is evident when they show her early appearances on the show as she was a 14 year old too.

Trisha Clark said...

Please correct me if I am wrong. Did they serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and potato salad on the Duggars in cuffs episode? If not, it was some sort of mayonnaise based salad in the container. What a weird combination!!

Linda said...

This show was a bit over the top as far as handcuffs go. I disagree about Jill being needy. I think her personality all of her life has not been one who likes to be in the spotlight, so she is being who she is in marriage. Regarding the comment about it being ridiculous to rush into marriage to kiss and have sex, it's not really that uncommon. About 50 years ago lots of high school graduates got married right away and began families. Many women wait until their wedding night to have sex for the first time and it's not considered an uncomfortable time- it's really pretty special.

When Josie was initially discharged from the hospital after her long stay, due to being a micro premie, the DR's made it very clear to Michelle & JB, that Josie was to be kept away from strangers & crowds for at least the first two yrs. of her life. Her immune system needed at least those two yrs. to catch up, she just couldn't handle being around many people. Now what did the Duggars do? Well of course, they took Josie, under the age of 2yrs. to Scotland, Ireland, England & Israel, where she became very ill. She needed to stay in Israel & be on medication, oxygen & under a DR's care. We know she wasn't yet 2yrs. old as a pharmacist asked Michelle her age, due to a prescription he was making. Michelle said she was almost 2yrs old, but Jill said no she's not near 2yrs. yet. Finally she was allowed to fly home with Michelle, Jill & a pediatrician. During that entire trip Michelle was complaining of her morning sickness (she was pregnant with Jubilee) Why didn't Michelle stay home along with Josie where they both belonged. Michelle because of her pregnancy & Josie because all the specialist that saved her life after her birth gave Michelle & JB those instructions.

Re: Anonymous 10/9 @10:03am
Although I understand your point about having all the boys up front, so there wouldn't be all those older girls to help out. However, I wouldn't want to see MacKenzie as "mom" to another 5 or 6 boys. She already has 2 brothers & when asked by the pediatrician, during Marcus' DR's visit, what her "job" was, she said; "Michael."

Anonymous said...

I would like to ask Anna, why "Michael" is Mac's job? Isn't she just too young? Please give that girl a childhood and send her to a nice Christian day school. Michael and Marcus are Anna and Josh's job as well as Mac.

Anonymous, you are absolutely right about Michelle traveling to Europe while pregnant yet again and taking Josie overseas. After her experience delivering Josie early, and the doctor's recommendations, I am very surprised that Michelle would risk her own health and Josie's too. Just can't imagine why that trip went when it did and that Michelle and Josie went in the first place with them. I'm sure Jim Bob would have remained faithful to her while he was over there. He probably needed a righteous receptacle available "if the urge hit him". Yes, I know, a terrible mental picture here, but with this family, you never know. It also bothered me as to why Amy went? She isn't part of that nuclear family and I think was taking advantage of a free trip to "you know, 'one of those lands'".

Anonymous said...

Re: anonymous 10/11 @4:53am
Amy has gone on a number of trips with the Duggars. Her mom, Deanna (JB's sister) as well, as grandma were also there. I do remember when they were on the trip to visit Dollywood, & see Dolly Parton (I'll never get over that) JB announced to Dolly Parton, that his sister also did some singing. Dolly had her start, yes you guessed it: Amazing Grace!

Good catch to the person who noticed that they took Josie travelling when she was too young and she got sick.
These people are two-faced liars claiming that they are so wonderful.
Run Jana Run!

i think waiting is a good thing according to the Bible. God wants us to have purity and be pure. but they take it to another level. not trusting their children and not letting them get education in the outside world. you cannot keep your kids locked out forever. and rushing into marriage to have sex is wrong you need to be ready. Derrick was mature and ready. Jill was not. also Ben and Jessa are not ready. They need education. Ben needs to finsih school and get a career going. or even a job. working for daddy duggar is not a job.

Anonymous said...

Don't know about kissing but Jessa sure does more than side hugging Ben and I think Ben has a little rebelliousness about the whole JimBoob and Jichelle rule the world attitude.
Handcuffs, PBJ, ridiculous obstacle course, really digging for time fillers.
Thought Jinger was going to be the Duggar to revolt maybe it will be Jana.
She is definitely showing signs of not being happy about life as it is.
My objection to the family is let the kids see some other ways people live and then let them decide if they want to follow your ways. If you force them to live this lifestyle you have chosen then you are more like a cult than a family. The Amish give their children a chance to try something else.

Anonymous said...

These people are really boring to watch they are so awkward with each other and seem barely able to touch each other and hug and kiss each other. My family every time we are together never leave each other without a hug and a kiss to everyone.
I don't really see any signs of affection between them.

Anonymous said...

What? Tell me how it is that a pediatrician flew to the US with Michelle, Jill and Josie? How does one receive such red carpet treatment? I have NEVER heard of that EVER...please do tell!

Anonymous said...

I agree that is NOT unusual for young people to wait for marriage for sex, but they also experience romance, affection and genuine companionship together while dating, which is quite normal and healthy. It is very possible to save the sex for marriage. It's a good idea in many circles, not just for the Duggars. I also think that this family is NOT a family of love, but they are a family filled with duty and chores. Not much more that I can see.
Also it would be unbalanced of them to stifle their children from the world, then give them a day to decide if that's they way they want to live. You know that's what they would do as they are unbalanced in life's experiences. I also, find it annoying that they attach religion and God to absolutely everything including mathematics! I have a religion and it's not necessary to do that. Multiple Bible study times throughout every day is also just too much. Why would a parent want to beat their kids over the head with anything? They really are choking their kids. One of them will break sooner or later and they have only themselves to blame. They are NOT doing God's work as parents IMO.

Anonymous said...

RE: Anonymous 10/12 @4:48am Well of course, the Duggars did receive the "Red Carpet Treatment," during their entire trip to Europe. The same thing with their trip to Asia & anywhere else they go. All we saw was Josie very ill & being taken to the clinic in Israel. The pediatrician there saying that Josie absolutely could not fly home in her condition. He said it could be days or even a week or more before she could travel. They were fortunate that this DR had studied in the US & was fluent in English. JB & all the others went home &left Michelle, Jill, & Josie there in Israel. Then we saw Michelle on the phone telling JB that she still couldn't travel unless there was medical personal on the flight with them. JB told her to stay there in Israel, for a few more days. I don't think JB was happy with the thought that they would need medical personal to travel with them. The DR continued to say Josie could not travel. After 4 or 5 days, Michelle said Josie was much better & could fly home although, we never heard the DR say this. The next thing we saw was; Michelle, Jill, a very ill Josie & the pediatrician on the flight home. That is how it was explained. I think the only real answer is that they wanted to get home & TLC paid for the DR to fly home with them . After all they paid for everything else on the trip.

Anonymous said...

Michelle also looks like she's really faking it with her smile there.

RE; Anonymous 10/11 @1:55pm
Not only did they take Josie around the world when she belonged at home, they had her dressed up in those "old costumes," that many other people had worn, as well as riding on a camel again all dressed up in costume. The camelwas not exactly a very clean looking animal.

Anonymous said...

Re; Anonymous 10/11 @1:55pm
Not only did they travel the world with Josie when she belonged at home, (really that was DR's orders) but they put her in costumes in Israel, that were dirty & had been worn by many, many, people. They also had her riding on a camel, not exactly a clean animal & again in one of those dirty costumes. No wonder she got sick. Between being on a plane for hours with a number of people, most likely not enough sleep etc. Adults that are on a world tour like that, often get worn down & sometimes will pick up whatever virus is around. A premie with an undeveloped immune system. It's impossible to figure these people out. No matter what they say, how grateful they are to God & the DR's for Josie survival & how she is supposedly thriving, I don't think they really believe that. Just in case anyone hasn't noticed yet, the Duggars are :THE CHOSEN PEOPLE!

Missy said...

Re Anonymous 10/11 @4:53am
I think the reason JB& Michelle the whole family, including a premie baby went on that trip was because that's what was planned by TLC. JB & Michelle always want the entire family along for any excursion. They just have to have everyone looking at that huge family, asking questions:Is that one family? JB can smile & congratulation himself & then they start handing out pictures of the family to complete strangers. I thought it was funny when they were in Israel JB was trying to introduce every kid to the man in charge of the camel ride. He actually said he wasn't interested in who they were! In the marketplace it was Michelle that was handing out pictures & telling people "we have a show in the U.S. called 19 kids & counting." I noticed she didn't say we have a ministry. It was definitely a TV show. I agree these people are two faced.

anyone notice Ben in shorts all the time? Josh is wearing shorts also. I thought this was a big no no for the duggars and Jim bod allows Ben to wear shorts to lead the young ladies astray. what up with that.

Anonymous said...

Quite a few of the younger kids had no idea what they were seeing in Europe and Israel and couldn't appreciate the trip, so I don't know why Michelle couldn't have stayed home with Josie and the little kids (yeah, I know, she would need 4 nannies to sleep over with her and actually take care of them). It wasn't necessary for all of them to go. I think JB, Grandma and the middle kids on up would have been sufficient to appreciate the trip. I also think that Anna acted like a real hick in England with that very nice lunch they prepared for them. How can anyone think that A Toad In the Hole is "frog"? Really, you were an embarrassment to this country, Anna. Also, wasn't she pregnant, yet again? And she went to Europe? Not smart IMO, as the baby comes first, dear, not your tourist desires.

Anonymous said...

Regarding the doctor flying with Josie from Israel. A good health insurance for trips abroad would cover such an expense. Do I expect the Duggars to have such an insurance? No.

Wednesday said...

As far as Anna being pregnant on their world tour: I went to Italy when I was 4 months pregnant. My Dr said it was fine, and maybe a good thing to get away for the last time as DINKS (double income no kids). But when I got there, I realized how vulnerable I was if something were to happen. It was a little scary, but worth every second.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Anna was pregnant when they were in on that particular trip as they had both MacKenzie & Michael with them. You can see the Duggars girls carrying Michael around. When they went to Asia, that was when Anna was frantic looking for pregnancy tests. You would think those women would have a supply in their purse, as they need a pregnancy test more than thy need a credit card or cash!

I think Anna was pregnant when they went to Europe. She had Mac already, but she looked it to me, just wondering what the timeline was there, as there are too man that are being played with by TLC and their editing, even back then.

Re: Anonymous 10/12 @ 5:09pm I agree that many of the younger Duggar kids had no idea what they were seeing on their world tours. They were a disgrace in England at the "High Tea." They acted terrible when the archaeologist made special arrangements for them to tour "Stoneheage." Anna was ridiculous saying that some of the kids might be inspired to become archaeologist because of this man's knowledge. Josh talking about the pop-up book the curator had written. How great this book was for children. Those kids don't know anything about any books. The curator was so Stonehenge was so kind getting them permission to go inside an area usually off limits to tourists, but they made a joke out of it.

I think the reason Anna looked pregnant when the were in Europe is because, she had only recently given birth to Michael. You know these Duggar women give birth then travel the world or load up a moving van. Anna said whenever she could find a convenient spot she would stop, & nurse Michael in England. We saw her sitting down outside a number of shops with the receiving blanket covering her & she was definitely nursing Michael. So I think she still had the baby weight on from her pregnancy with Michael. Michelle was pregnant with Jubilee at that time. But for Anna it was after Michael but before Marcus.

Anna was full of it about the kids becoming archeologists...they aren't allowed to train for any real profession or trade in the first place! Also that would directly go against their religion about how old the earth is...what would those kids do if they came across artifacts in which they were advised were millions of years old? A direct conflict.

The kids are in no way encouraged to pursue a real education or to get a real job by Jimboob and Mullet. I don't believe any one of the kids could handle a real job. No boss would let them work on Duggar time or let them them bring a sibling with them for an accountability buddy. And no boss would let them take off work all the times they would need to to go on family "field trips".

Duggar time is an example of just how important the Duggars feel they are. That's some Godly, loving, Christian family, that doesn't care one bit about other people's time. This is not something new it's always been one of their traits. I wonder how Michelle feels people are encourage by them, when they have to wait on them for hours. I'm sure many blogers remember the time one of the crew members, that had been waiting a long time for them to show up, finally said,"I'm bailing." Then just as he was packing up to leave, they arrived. He should have left anyway. I wonder if the wedding started on time? All they ever say is how difficult it is to get everyone ready on time & out the door. Why? Each child has an older buddy that get them ready, it's not like Michelle has to do it herself. They could never make it in the real world where you need to show up on time for your job. The same thing with school. I think it's just more convenient for them to homeschool, what with Duggar time & all their trips, plus nobody really knows how much studying goes on in that house. They could never make it to a public or Christian school on time in the morning. JB could never survive a 9-5 job in the real world either. It's not cute or funny, it's rude & offensive to treat people that way & let your kids believe it's fine because it's "Duggar Time." My parents taught me that it was a sign of respect to be on time & not have people waiting for you.

Katie's Mom...I couldn't agree more...it's so disrespectful and arrogant!

So, let's say a girl duggar was allowed to get a mainstream job.... And during her interview she has to tell them about her accountability buddy....how would that conversation go? "Um I need to like bring my baby sister with me to make sure I don't kiss any boys". LOL

I can't see Jim Bob or Michelle ever answering to a boss or a teacher, either.I find them far too uppity for that. Can you imagine a boss breathing down JB's neck, waiting for him to get a project done, and him laughing and saying he's on 'Duggar time?' He wouldn't last a day.
Same with a teacher.I can't imagine the Duggars actually taking responsibility and holding their child (and themselves) accountable,if a teacher called a meeting with them and said "J can't seem to pay attention in class,or J can't seem to get his/her work done,or J doesn't ever turn in a project or paper on time, etc." They would be all aghast that anyone dare call their children out on anything.JMO

Katie's Mom: I hear you! You are right. In an earlier episode one of the older girls said that when THEY have to get out of the door, they are on time, it's when the parents are involved that they are always late...so it's Jim Bob and/or Michelle's inability to do anything with punctuality. Those two can't do anything respectfully of others.

They don't run on Duggar time when it is something that benefits them, such as appearing on the Today show or giving interviews to People magazine. Or when Princess Jill demanded that they couldn't run on Duggar time when they had to drag the whole family to the airport to meet Derick.

Jim Bob and Michelle are perfectly capable of being somewhere on time when it benefits themselves. They didn't see any need to get Josh's truckload of furniture delivered on time so his little family didn't have to spend another night on a bus. Having fun with the Bates took priority over that. Even though it would greatly have benefited Josh, it was no benefit to the parents, so they didn't bother. So much for putting others before yourselves.

These episodes are getting worse and worse. Jessa and Ben were "double handcuffed" so they wouldn't get an opportunity to accidentally "hold hands". Are you kidding me? Michelle and JimBob treat these grown adults like they're small little kids. Michelle yelled out to Jill and Derick...."Now communicate you two!" She might as well have added, " Climb the playground equipment like little children but be sure to communicate because you're getting married soon!". Beyond ridiculous!

This family is becoming whackier by the moment. They are cartoon characters at this point, IMO. Someone has to say something to them about this as they are on their way OUT of TV land, and soon.
If Michelle doesn't think the Pope has the authority to interpret scripture, why does she think that Bill Gothard does? Or Jim Bob, for that matter? I can come up with thousands of other spiritually educated individuals on this planet first, before ol' Gothard and those two Duggars.
These views that they have alienate their viewers and create animosity and insult to others. They are arrogant beyond belief at this point, including those glutton gift registries from both of their daughters.
Jim Bob's mother, IMO, is a dish rag at that home and she allows herself to be one. She has the financial means and the brains to live on her own and doesn't. Something's wrong there too.

The Duggars celebrated their 30th Anniversary....right? Josh is 26 years old....right? Why oh why did JB and Michelle not recommend to these kids to wait a bit before kids and get to know each other before they start a family.

So far, they want their kids to not do anything they did in their youth.

Such a shame.

For those that Duggar time has had them waiting, I wonder what those people really thing, just because they have 20+ people to be ready, and get out the door, proper planning and organization would help. I wouldn't trust the Duggar's very much if they were constantly making me wait for their arrival.

Duggar Time = The Duggar's way of manipulating people and trying to control situations at the expense of others.

Arrogant behaviour. Selfish behaviour.

A childish way of saying "I am a rebel," I don't have to conform to time tables and deadlines that others do.

Duggars way of saying, "We're very busy, and we have more important things to do than being on time, and of course,

"We're more important than you." "We know you'll understand!"

They definetely don't want any of the kids to do anything Michelle did when she was younger. She went to public school, was a cheerleader, played sports, wore pants and dated boys. Good thing Jimboob came along when he did and saved her from a life of sin.

You know, a group of 20 people, for whom many are adult and or self sufficient can't get out of the door on time? How, then can a classroom of first graders ie, 24 kids aged 6 get on with their school schedule ON TIME...the Duggars should give schoolteachers ALOT of credit...they are just unorganized, lazy parents.

Duggar Time is a big excuse for not respecting other people's time. They have 17 kids at home, none of them in diapers. Most of the kids are old enough to get themselves ready in the morning. If they know how long it will take them to drive to a certain location, they should be able to do the math and figure out what time they need to leave the house to arrive on time or even a bit early. The rest of us can do it.

I'm just watching this episode now so I'm going to comment further.

It made me giggle how Moochelle was putting chapstick on in the mirror like it was lipstick; smacking her lips and what not.

Why did Ben walk into the house with Derek and hug Jessa like he doesn't live there and see her everyday?

Jessa in the car telling Dimboob to slow down... soooooo stagged, and Michelle calling him daddy with two of his older girls and their boyfriend and fiance in the car, so stupid.

Jill LET GO OF THE MANS HAND, he can hold himself up.

Michelle's hair has bothered me for years, it looks so fried and like it would be crunchy if you touched it.

I guarantee that Jessa and Ben have broken "their courtship rules." GURARANTEE IT!

Mackenzie and Michael are so adorable. But Anna's bug-eyes are terrifying, way too similar to Mama Duggar.

Josh probably walked most of it and then they showed him sprinting then end, because he was well rested.

Their obstacle course "challenge" was stupid also, goes right along with them not treating their kids like they are the ages they are. Jill seemed kind of bossy during it. But she totally should have told her parents that it was embarrassing like the said during her talking heads.

Two people using a bow and arrow like that is dangerous.
