Tuesday, April 22, 2014, Graduation & a Surprise

Josiah is graduating! Before the family can welcome 400 of their friends to celebrate, they must clean up a huge mess. Anna & Josh are preparing to host the entire clan for a holiday meal but they get an unexpected phone call with a big surprise.

He's graduating from homeschooling! Yeah! Time to pick his own marginal business and a woman to marry.

This is a big deal. Now he won't have to sit at the big dining room table during the day with the toddlers!

Pam said...

Is this graduation from ALERT or from the cough homeschooling cough?

Wampascat said...

I have a feeling it's ALERT. Josiah won't get the huge send off Joseph got. He's been on the outs with Jim Bob since running out of the film shot during the baby announcement. I feel sorry for that kid. I really wonder what Jim Bob did to him after the TLC crew went home for the day after that debacle. Jim Bob is supposed to have a vicious temper. After that, Josiah didn't appear very much in the talking heads. For a while, Josiah was very thin and had horrible cystic acne. It was clear he needed help.

Mary said...

Does anyone have the video where Josiah runs out? Thanks!

flowerchild said...

I worry about Josiah. I've seen instances where Jimbob was mean to him. I pray that he runs personally I think he may be in danger there.

Wampascat said...

None of these kids are going to run. They have been taught that anyone outside the compound is evil and out to steal their immortal soul. Besides, I'm sure none of them have any money of real consequence available to them. When the girls get married, anything they've got coming ( knowing cheap ass Jim Bob, it's nothing) will go directly to the husband. Can't let a woman get her hands on any money, ya know. She'll probably just use it to tart herself up, buy herself some shoes and go defraudin' some men around town.

I've watched the video many times where people have pointed out Josiah running out after the last pregnancy announcement. I didn't really take it that way. I mean yes he was not in the edited shots for a bit after, but I don't recall seeing him run off, or JimBob doing anything to him. Are there any other examples of him being treated poorly?

Anonymous said...

I remember Jim Bob body slamming Josiah when they were "playing" paintball war games. Jim Bob does not like to lose.

Nancy said...

ALERT was just a few weeks ago, and these episode titles were out before Josiah "advanced" in ALERT (he was out for maybe 2 weeks, and he's back there AGAIN!).

Plus, they were on the book tour when he graduated, and went to TX for the event. This will be homeschool last fall. Will this season even get us to Christmas???

Re: Does anyone have the video where Josiah runs out? Thanks!

What I found most insightful were screen shots of the video, where you got to carefully look at the faces and reactions of ALL the Duggars, including JimBob, Grandma, Josiah, etc. To be fair, the person or people "narrating" the screen shots are only giving their opinion as to what each person is probably doing, thinking, or feeling and, thus, making assumptions that may or may not be true. But, being able to really evaluate the screen shots in an in-depth way gave me an uncomfortable feeling about the way the whole situation was handled with Josiah leaving the scene and then coming back. I truly don't think he came back on by his own volition, and it is clear from the video itself that one of his sisters calls after him in concern (whereas his parents could give a crap).

Anonymous said...

I don't know where to find the video. But I know Jim Bob grabbed him. Hard. When Joiah returned he was holding a napkin? Tissue? to his arm, I think.

hello said...

These kids haven't been raised to think for themselves or to have their own opinions. Instead they have been trained how to think and have been brainwashed to always agree with their parents. They are in no way encouraged to think for themselves. I would bet that Jimboob lectured Josiah after the film crew left. He was probably told how to react if there was another pregnancy announcement.

I found the video of Josiah running out here: http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/theologygeekfj/media/19kidsandcounting-DuggarsAllyouwantedtoknow33-YouTube.mp4.html

I had never noticed it before...wow. :-(

Re: The post about Jim Bob slamming Josiah when they were "playing" paint ball, war game. They showed that on the episode and Jim Bob said (during a talking head moment)to a crew member; "oh you caught that on film, did you?" The crew member answered, yes they did and Jim Bob just laughed his head off.

Does anyone have an idea what the surprise is? Could Anna be pregnnat again?

I saw the video of Josiah at the announcement. He does appear to go off camera but he's smiling.

Re: the video of Josiah running out of the room. What do I type in? I put in that long web address and it wasn't valid. I'd love to see that clip. Didn't notice it the first time, I guess I was dozing off..

Not a Fan said...

Thank you for sharing the video. I had not seen it. He dashed right off as soon as it was announced. Then when he was standing next to Jimbob the body language and the fear in his eyes tells so much. This poor kid. I love how Michelle says that they were all very thankful. She had no idea that her boy was hurting over this news. Probably due to concern for his mother. Side note...who doesn't grill the kid that was bouncing with Josie? If a small child was holding my two year old and jumping like that I would have freaked out. Now a healthy strong two year old maybe not, but this is a two year old that was more the size of a 16month child. too small to be bounced and possibly dropped by a 6 maybe 7 year old kid.

that video has been deleted. so we know Jim bod people have seen you doing something to your son. I am very sure they watch all these blog spots.

TLC (& Josh, since he posted about "a surprise" when he dropped a promo for the new season on his Instagram) IMO want you to think it's Anna who's expecting, just to up viewership numbers, good for both TLC and Josh. How much do you want to bet it's Priscilla calling Anna to tell her she's "expecting"? Given the timing of their announcement last Wed. and the show will air this Tues. it just seemed to fit. Plus, why would they have a show down the line with Anna skiing (& shown falling down) if she were pregnant? Well, we'll see...

Anonymous said...

I think the previewed Anna surprised on the phone is the news that Jill was courting. Remember these were filmed a while ago and we knew nothing about Jill and Derrick

Well, Josiah will be 18 this August. Hopefully that nice boy will pull away from his terrible example of a daddy, and study for his accounting career. He should ask other family members for guidance on this one and insist that he be sent to a proper school for his desired line of work and GET THE HECK OUT OF THERE. He seems like such a nice boy and shouldn't be "manhandled". These kids are nothing if compliant already and don't need any "hands on" discipline. JMHO

Slightly Freaked Out... said...

I am interested to see if the dynamic changes now that there will be an "outside" male let into the fold. I wonder if Derick will be influential on any of the boys - will he encourage them to get a degree (as he has done) or to stretch their wings and pursue interests that may lead them away from the nest (as he has done).

Sadly, I think the expectation when Anna joined the family was that she would join the babysitting crew and not provide any opinions whatsoever.

Leigh Ann said...

Didn't I read that Derrick is an accountant? I guess that means he went to college. That'll be good for Jill, she'll have an educated who can support a family. But it would be great for Josiah, too, if Derrick can convince the parents that he needs to go to college and obviously as evidenced by Derrick you can come out of college undefiled.

Andrea said...

I've watched the video of Josiah running out of the shot a few times. It's pretty clear when the sisters are calling after Josiah, Jim Bob says: "Hey, don't call anyone one you guys." These people are seriously creeps. I also get some serious mean girl, clique vibe off of the adult daughters. They don't seem interested in grandma, Michelle or any of the others in the family. If they'd been sent to public school those girls would have become serious mean girls. In their defense I'm sure it's a survival technique in that family!

I feel like the "surprise" call Anna gets that the Duggars are coming in a day early. I saw a promo last night during the Little Couple that eluded to this. I think all the false "suspense" was just TLC trying to bring in the viewers.

Willow said...

It would be awesome if Amy took Josiah with her to Nashville. I think Lawson Bates spends some time there also. The trick would be to keep the elder Duggars from "visiting" all the time, though. I think Josiah deserves this.

geistmadl said...

Lmfao!so true!!

Nancy said...

TLC expanded the promo during the afternoon repeats today (yay Easter week vacaycay). Yes, it's as suspected. Anna's call is from Boob and he's filmed on the other end saying they're coming in a day early.

Big whoop, as usual.

Ashley said...

I think the surprise is the Duggars changing the time they are coming. I don't think Anna would find out she was pregnant over the phone.

Anonymous said...

Just a quick note. It was, Hank Williams that sang; "Nobody's Child." If you listen to the words, you'll know why I think of Jordyn. "No mommy's kisses," was one lines!

Umm Madiha said...

I really do not understand their aversion to college. Their are plenty of Christian universities in the US. Even people who homeschooling send their children to college, so they have a chance to compete in the real world. The Duggars kids ( esp. The boys since they will be the bread winners for their own families) cannot rely on reality TV paychecks for the rest of their lives. Its really sad how much these parents are holding their own kids back.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone ever heard the family members say "I Love You" to either parent or their siblings? Remember when the show first started how they told why they dressed the kids all alike? Now they decided that cult like image wasn;t what they wanted to show the world. Fake Christians as well.

Anonymous said...

What did Michelle say the reason for the dress years back was about? I don't remember..Thanks!

Judy said...

Jim Bob satys "Love youuu," in a very creepy voice sometimes. I've heard him say it to some of the kids. When he's not cakling at them that they aren't allowed to touch members of the opposite sex, that is.

mom in texas said...

Marcus really looks like Anna's dad. I never noticed until this episode. I also love the way Anna dresses her children. They have modern clothes that look less hand-me-down.

Josiah has grown into a handsome young guy. I really hope his spirit isn't stifled by his parents but I guess I am wishfully thinking. It was cute to see the smitten girls at his "graduation". I think Tori Bates is a beautiful girl who would make a great match for Josiah, when he's ready of course.

Not a Fan said...

Who in their right mind thinks that while their spouse is at work, that taking three kids to the store is a good idea. NOOOO! It's when your spouse is actually home and able to watch the kids so you can go to the store alone and have room in the cart for all the stuff for 25+ people.

Who lets their kid dictate a 300 person guest list for a Homeschool High school graduation. I think there was maybe 60 people at my College Graduation party. Why have so many people there?

If I was planning on 20 people getting to my house on Saturday and they call to tell me they will be there Friday, I'd have to tell them no. Plain and simple we are not prepared for you a day early. If it was two or three people, fine, but not 20.

Willow said...

My comment about last night's program is: Hope, hope, hope, hope, that Skylar Weiss was there with Josh because he was waiting to see Jana. Yes! Please. He is a cutie IMO. He just seems to go with Jana. It would be o.k. if it was Jinger too, but I'm hoping Jana. Maybe a little hint to the audience to perk things up? I mean, he doesn't live in D.C. does he?

Anonymous said...

Why did they keep referring to the "holiday meal"? Don't most people say "Thanksgiving", or "Christmas" dinner? Weird.

Anonymous said...

They definitely teach that the "Umbrella of authority" is in effect as long as your father/husband live. Case in point: Last night on the show, when JimBob called from the road trip and said they were coming a DAY early, he said (paraphrase) "We will be there about 4 o'clock and want to eat then". It appeared to me he was controlling the day and TIME they would eat (25 people) without so much as an I'm sorry or a thank you. I started wondering if maybe JB actually owns their house. It seems they have the attitude they can come and go at will.

Elspeth said...

They referred to it as a holiday meal because it was a stage event and neither Christmas nor Thanksgiving. Josh and family went to Florida for Thanksgiving.

Jim Bob does not own the house. Internet rumors are wrong again.

tulip said...

Why was the lettering "Congratulations Josiah" so tiny on that huge cake? It just didn't look right, and what, did they buy a cake on markdown? It was decorated with leaves like they just picked up some generic cake, def. not brightly colored or looking anything like what I would think you would buy for a graduation celebration. It doesn't cost anything extra to "request" a cake in certain colors or theme, you just need to order it a couple days in advance, which as I think about it, they were prob. running on Duggar time or were preoccupied with other stuff.
I know this will be surprising, but I actually thought Josh was kind of funny & a bit likeable in this episode...Anna on the other hand? Why is she continually portrayed as being more & more clueless as the seasons go on? In the beginning before they were married everybody raved what a great cook she was, and as time goes on they show smoke detectors sounding off, stuff getting burned, and showing her having a challenging time baking off a tray of frozen garlic bread. I'm sure suggesting painting the room and all that was a set-up, but I still liked how Josh was like a typical husband might be like "ok, right" instead of the usual whatever you want dear. Anna could have thought of fixing up the room a long time ago with all the visits they've already had, and could have done it instead of assembling a plastic playhouse. Watching her trying to paint with all the little kids would have been a lot funnier & entertaining than her trying to read instructions on where to drill in a screw.

mom in texas said...

I forgot to comment on Skylar Weiss. Yes, he is quite the looker. Not sure what he is like as a person but eye candy for sure.

I really don't see anything wrong with taking 3 kids shopping. It's only 3 kids. Not really a huge deal. I did laugh though because it seems that Anna knows her kids, well at least Michael, is not the best behaved kid in the world. Her little "self-control" speech made me chuckle.

Also I thought 400 was a large number for a house party but you have to take into consideration that many of the families that the Duggars know are larger than average families. So I am sure the guest list added up quickly.

flowerchild said...

I adore all the kids adult ones included. Michelle and Jimbob are the ones I dislike. They're selfish and have holier than thou attitudes. I do hope the kids break away from the quiverful Gothard mentality. The can be amazing godly Christians outside the cult.

Anonymous said...

I really thought this episode was lame. I have enjoyed all of the other episodes this season, but this one seemed like such a filler. Recently I am not sure what is scripted and what isn't. I think the grocery store trip was scripted, Anna telling Josh to paint and furnish a whole room the night before the family arrives was definitely staged. If not, she's stupid for leaving that until the day before when she obviously knew 21 people would be showing up for weeks or at least days in advance. I was hoping that they would show more of Josiah's graduation because he has been so MIA lately and I would like to see more of him. They literally showed a 5 minute clip of it. Finally… Skylar Weiss is HOT!! Serious eye candy. I would loooove to see him with Jana or Jinger but that is highly unlikely….3 courtships in 1 season seems too good to be true.

Anonymous said...

With the family arriving early for this so called dinner, once again, Anna gets her sisters in law to cook with (for) her. I haven't seen this part of the episode yet, but that's a good guess. Remember when she had the family over in the old house, the older girls went over to cook for her. that's not hostessing the family...
I hope the degree of difficulty is being felt by Josh and Anna since they don't have 20 babysitters on hand and they begin to figure out just what living in the real world is about.. their lifestyle is utter fantasy.

Anonymous said...

Why the odd-looking bow tie? I don't know of any 17 year old male who would wear that.

Anonymous said...

Just because the Duggars were arriving a day earlier why did they need to have the dinner a day earlier? They could have sent out for pizza for the 1st night and then had the "holiday meal" at the date already planned. They weren't leaving as soon as they finished the meal were they? That was a TLC set up for sure!

Anonymous said...

Did anyone else notice that when Derrick's parents arrived at the Duggar home with a package for JimBob & Jill to take to Derrick in Nepal, it was his Mom & Step-Dad? Also his Mom had slacks on? That seemed strange to me.

Anonymous said...

I had an absolutely wonderful father-in-law. However, if I was expecting a visit from him and the rest of the family (especially a family that large) and I received a phone call saying he was arriving a day early, that might be ok... but I wouldn't stand for him saying he would like his "holiday dinner" when he arrived in 5 hours! What's wrong with Michelle that she would allow her husband to do that to Anna who has 3 very little children. JimBob really puts himself 1st.Forget all this talk about Jesus 1st, others 2nd & yourself last!

Elspeth said...

There's nothing surprising in Derick's mom wearing slacks. She's done it for years and his father died and she remarried. No big thing there either. I'm guessing Jill and Jim Bob offered to take a package for her.

Anonymous said...

I didn't think that was that large a cake for 400hundred people. As a mater of fact, I never think the Duggars have all that much food when they have a party: a few bowls of pretzels etc. Not as much as I would have at a much smaller gathering. Also, I think the cake was done in "fall colors." Bakeries often suggest those colors, unless you have something else in mind for a fall theme cake.

Anonymous said...

I, too, am hoping that Jana meets that nice guy who helped Josh and they hit it off, marry and Jana has a wonderful life. I think she has the most fans out there who are rooting for this shy, kind, lovely young lady. I wouldn't mind if she liked one of my sons, I think with some coaching and help, she could learn to live in the real world and emerge from her shell. I'm rooting for Skylar and Jana.....YES>> Who is this guy?

tulip said...

Sorry but I have to talk about the cake again, just to make a point because this is exactly what I always see the Duggars doing, which is talking up and making a huge deal about something or someone and then skimping out. Like when Charles Stanley came to visit, it was like some never in a million years, life long dream come true and they eat dinner on paper plates & plastic forks. Yes, the cake was small for that many people, but the writing was squeezed into this little space in relation to the size of the cake, no exclamation point or anything. This was a graduation party, not a party celebrating fall has arrived. There should have been a grad. themed cake that would have looked like they cared about this supposed major special event they're celebrating in Josiah's life instead of taking whatever cake was available at the time off the shelf and have some writing piped on at the last minute, which is how it all looked to me. Same thing about combining the birthdays for the little girls, and when they combined one of the little girls bday w/ Joy and so Joy had to celebrate her bday at Chuck e cheese.

DianeD said...

When I saw the tiny "Congratulations Josiah" written on the corner of the cake like a return address, I assumed the rest of the space was reserved for another use. "Happy Birthday Mr. Gothard" perhaps?

Just me said...

I'm betting it was JB who suggested putting Anna and Josh on the spot by not telling them until 5 hrs away. I can see him think it would not only be "funny" but great for ratings too! And poor Anna has been so indoctrinated by the need to follow the authority of parents and men that JB is the patriarch and must be obeyed.

Anonymous said...

Elspeth, I'm sorry about the comments I made re: Derrick's mom & step-dad. I haven't heard that much about Derrick's family so didn't know his dad had died and him mom remarried. Also just didn't expect to see his mom in slacks if Derrick is marrying into the Duggar family

Beedageeda said...

I bet they called it a "holiday" meal so they could use this footage for whatever holiday they wanted to make it in the story line of a season.

Ashley said...

Well I called that "surprise." Also, that was soooo staged, I was surprised they could all keep straight faces. I'm not sure Anna was in on it though.

Why did they have to make the room downstairs "romantic" for his parents? Ew. Especially because they put bunk beds in there, so other people would be sleeping in there too, presumably.

I was happy for Josiah in this episode. High school graduation is a big thing for many teenagers, and it shouldn't be different just because his parents decided to homeschool him. I'm glad he got to have the big party he apparently wanted.

Anonymous said...

I know I wrote about the cake being in "fall colors" because there are usually a number of that kind in a bakery during the fall season. That said, I agree that they probably took whatever they had available I have no idea or explanation about the tiny writing. I have never seen Michelle order a cake for any of the kids for any reason Although, she knew exactly what she wanted for a cake for her "vow renewal ceremony." Also, I don't think Jim Bob was at all pleased when Jessa made the announcement that Josiah was "available." They save those announcements for Jim Bob to make re:the girls being available. I guess JimBob thinks girls will be knocking down his door for his sons. It's not something they need to advertise.

Judy said...

I think Marcus looks exactly like Michael looked at that age.

Anonymous said...

Who, oh who, in their right minds, would think "romantic thoughts" regarding their in-laws? Yuck! If it's one thing those rabbits don't need, is "encouragement" for yet another baby. What the heck is wrong with Anna? Would she like to know what her in-laws are doing in her house during the night? How could JB and MIchelle, even think of such a thing...So unmodest, and tasteless of them. I didn't think it made for "good TV" at all. TLC needs to be careful about how this show is developing, IMO. It shouldn't be a "fake reality" show. Stop scripting and staging things, that's not how they started out. It's the downfall of a show. IMO.

Allison said...

Finally watched the show. So many things in that show did not make sense. Besides the cake being too small, one turkey for 25 people? And only 3 casseroles and a few pieces of corn? That is not nearly enough food for that whole family? What the heck? Silly setup ever.

Plus, I don't even understand when any of this happened. Erin and Chad got married on Nov. 2... Josiah's graduation was sometime after that... Jill and Jim Bob were also apparently heading to Nepal in November as well (if I recall the old posts correctly). When they went to DC it was for a holiday meal (looks like Thanksgiving), but they were also celebrating the girls' communal 4th birthday. Josie didn't even turn 4 until Dec. 10 so clearly they were flubbing and were not all together while they were 4.

Does anyone know why the Duggars were in DC? They had to have had an actual reason, since the timing of all this going on is giving me a headache, and I didn't even have to do anything!

hello said...

These people go on and on about modesty, but they have no problem talking about conceiving babies. The women have a problem with their knees showing, yet they have no issues with allowing a film crew in when they are having a baby. They say they don't watch TV. but they have no problem with filming a reality show. They are quite the hypocrites, IMO.

hello said...

For a couple that preaches about modesty, they sure do think about sex a lot. When they announced their last pregnancy on tv, Jimboob put on the creepy grin, crackles amd said-I don't know how that happened. When Jimboob and Mice were going to the hotel for their anniversary, the kids went and decorated their room. They are constantly kissing and then you have Jimbbob lay one on Michelle on the mini golf course and then ask her if it turned her on. They win at mini golf and Jimboob picks Michelle up and kisses her while swinging her around. All that is ok but dont even think about showing Michelle's knees on tv while wakeboarding in the water.

Nancy said...

Skylar Weiss is only 20, so maybe a match for Jinger? The family has known the Duggars through ATI for a while (parents are divorced, father is an OBGYN). Jessa emailed the mother after Michelle returned from the doctor visit when they found no heartbeat with "Jubilee."

"Why did they keep referring to the "holiday meal"? Don't most people say "Thanksgiving", or "Christmas" dinner? Weird."

-------------------------------

Not so weird when they are filming to make several episodes out of one trip to DC. Anna's phone said Dec. 6 during the scene at the supermarket. That jives with the birthday party for the 3 4 year olds; Josh posted pics to Instagram around the 10th/11th (Josie's b-day is the 10th, Jordyn's the 18th).

So yeah, the timeframe for this dinner (probably on the 7th) makes total sense. And because it's technically between Thanksgiving and Christmas, it is the "holiday" season. So they weren't really lying, just making people think it was Thanksgiving through omission.

Anonymous said...

That cutie, Sklar Weiss, has to be right for one of the older girls, yes, Jinger, is she 20? He's even older than poor little Ben. Too bad he's not old enough for Jana, I want to see her land someone really great! Skylar's dad is an ob/gyn? Works perfectly, with all those Duggar deliveries,,, a family discount! JB would love that!

sandi said...

Idk,I mean, honestly? I wouldn't want my father -in- law delivering my baby.A matter of privacy there.Nor my sister-in-laws,either,but that would be better than a FIL delivery, unless he has a partner he practices with who can deliver as well.

Anonymous said...

I understand what you mean about your FIL delivering your baby. I can't understand, though, why Anna wouldn't have any problem with Michelle front and center when she delivered her kids and I wouldn't want my SIL, Jill and Jana seeing that either. They have flip flop ideas of modesty.. but you had better not see their knees while at the supermarket...Doesn't make sense to me.

Samantha said...

So much of what they do seems staged, which would be par for the course on a "reality" show. For example, showing up a day early without calling before leaving...and the room and the big meal just happened to somehow be ready in time. You can't even thaw and cook a turkey in 5 hours, much less everything else. So I call shenanigans. As for the vague "holiday" meal, it makes sense if they were doing it between Thanksgiving and Christmas or earlier in November as an early Thanksgiving meal. With other travel and an international courting trip required by the tv schedule (gotta get the boy on camera so people will tune in for the wedding episode!), they probably had to fit this trip into a random week in the fall.

Willow said...

Did anyone else notice one of Skylar's sisters sitting on the end of one of the couches at Josiah's grad party? I didn't notice it the first time I saw it, but caught it last night. Not that it really means much, I mean, he did invite 300 people. Reasonable that she would be there I suppose.

Anonymous said...

Why wouldn't the Duggars call Josh & Anna from the bus & let them know they were leaving a day earlier than originally planned? If they really did do what was shown on that episode, they don't really love those kids at all.I think Anna has tried to be a good daughter-in-law all along. She was always willing to help Michelle out. She did her best to help out when Josie was born, trying to help with the little ones even though she had a new baby & was a 1st time mom. I wonder if it's just payback for Josh & Anna moving away. I don't think much of Josh letting them treat his wife this way.

Leigh Ann said...

I want to know if that was a producer's idea. And if it was a producer's idea to have the holiday meal that night. What was the rush? I wonder if it was some awful see what Anna can cope with plot.

Anonymous said...

Anna may be able to juggle all the balls right now, because she is only 25, but wait a few years...she won't be able to do it. I hope the has a string of boys; what will she do then? MacKynzie won't be able to do it all as an 8 year old child herself. They really need to think with the intellect that God gave them about what the heck they are doing! That house they are in now, is so not kid-friendly.. too many steps, how is she possible going to carry the kids, and groceries up the stairs just to get to the front door? Snow and ice doesn't make it any easier..she can't leave the kids in the car and take up shopping up two bags at a time herself...those kids need to be in school during the day to give her some time to do her chores...what's wrong with a good Christian school? It will give the kids structure, and socialization skills,,, I bet there won't be any green-haired kids in Christian school, so what's their excuse for not sending them? JB and Michelle included..

Josiah is a very nice young man but he really needs to upgrade his wardrobe and learn to coordinate his clothes a little bit better. Bow ties are fine but not clip-ons and if the shirt is wrinkled, iron it and be careful with color combinations and sizes.

I know Skylar Weiss personally. He comes from a broken family. Dad left him and his three siblings, to remarry and have a set of triplets. They live in a rural town in Florida. Dad is a ob gyn.
