Jessa and Ben register for gifts, but will they end up with a registry full of toys and candy as Ben gets sidetracked?  Later Jessa and Ben join Joy and Jason to get in shape before the big day.  Jill and Jana cook a special Nepali dinner for Derick.

30 minutes

That should have been the title of Jill's wedding episode.

Ratings:  2.143 M viewers and a .8 rating.

In the synopsis posted, why the heck would Jana have to cook a special Nepali dinner for Derick, JILL'S HUSBAND? Jill should do it herself...
Toys and candy on a wedding registry? Ben certainly is a teenager...both too young to marry.

Rosie Banks said...

Didnt they ask for drinks/guns etc?
Jana almost chaparoning jill again?? I saw james in the car with them and he was like blah blah blah. So why go??? What 12 yr old wants to do that?

Syndee said...

Didn't it say Jana along with Jill was cooking. If it's not for chaperoning purposes, I believe it's because they never really want any of the girls doing anything for themselves, they always have to depend on someone else. They can't be too independent, can they....

Heart in Florida said...

Like I said here before: why the heck does Jana have to help cook a meal for Derick? He's Jilly's husband...If Jill can't cook a special meal for her husband, according to Michelle's jurisdiction mastering plan, Jilly Muffin was NOT ready to be a wife....Go home Jana and relax. Tough luck, Jilly...Wing it yourself.

hello said...

Jillymuffin is too busy carrying babydilly and hanging onto Derickdillard to cook him a special meal all by herself. So again Jana is forced to help her as she did when she remade all the bridesmaid dresses for jillymuffin. I would love to see an episode showing Jana being rewarded with even a weekend away by herself for all the work she does. A long spa weekend without any of her kids woyld be nice. She could take Grandma Duggar with her.

Lisa said...

It would never air, but I would love for Jana to just say, "nuts to this!" Stop whatever thankless task the family has her doing and march out into the bright beautiful world.
It's like she is a maid that gets shared :/ I'm all for helping family, but they don't seem to appreciate her at all.

Totally said...

I agree with "Hello", Jana should be rewarded but with more than a weekend away. A long vacation to wherever she'd like to go. Maybe even a summer just traveling the world. She should take Jinger, Grandma and Joy with her and make Michelle take care of her own children and house.

It could just simply have been a chance for Jana and Jill to hang out. My sister and I have a "co-cooked" before, just because we enjoy cooking and hanging out.

Ben picking out toys and candy? Ugh, well, I guess that explains their very bizarre registry. Still, why wouldn't their parents gently advise them on more appropriate items? I mean J and M might not have a lick of sense, but I hoped the Guinn had some. Then again, she did drive Ben to their church in order to meet Jessa, didn't she?

Heart in Florida said...

It would seem to me, if Jana and Jill wanted to hang out, then they should have done that...why does Jana always have to be doing for everyone else? It also was selfish, IMO, that Jill lets Jana "help out"...I think she's used to having her own J'slave in Jana...she didn't have to do anything but visit her sister and maybe have some good time together and GET TO SIT DOWN for once...maybe Jill serve HER a cup of cocoa or tea for a change. Jill isn't doing anything else, I assure you, except running her own taxi service for derickdillard.

sunny side up said...

Heart in Florida- Maybe they do just hang out sometimes, but TLC wanted something a little more interesting to film.

Kari said...

I hope Jill and Derick have Jana over for a meal that they prepare and serve to her! Also, I think Jessa and Ben should have her over for dinner. It may heal some old wounds from that jewelry box incident when they were little.

Lord have mercy!! People has up a preview clip for tonight's episode. Jill is wigging out over Nepali rice and lentils. Yes that's what dal bhat means. She also doesn't even bother with regular rice and has instant. She makes a big stink over how much rice to cook like a true ninny.

Syndee said...

I still can't get over for a family that has that aura of country folk and gender-divided chores, the girls can't cook worth beans

Sawyer B. said...

I guess Jilly Muffin is so used to having a buddy with her, that it's hard to be alone and bear the great responsibility of boiling water (to cook rice & beans) on her own. It's a good thing Jana has so much free time on her hands to help out little sis. We know all about the Duggar buddy system. Doing something all by yourself is verboten!

Heart in Florida said...

These girls can't cook a darn because their mother never learned how to cook either..they are completely self taught. Michelle still doesn't know how to boil water or fix herself an egg.
If Blessa ever invited Jana over for a meal, I DO hope Jana doesn't have to cook it herself like when Anna invited the WHOLE family over HER house, the girls had to come over and cook it FOR her...How is that being a hostess? One more thought, Ben would do the cooking for JessaBlessa but she would ask Jana to do the cleanup and dishes..

M said...

did anyone just see the clip for next week where Jim Bob was telling Jessa and Ben something along the lines of this is when we teach you how to kiss or something like that? It aired in the middle of this episode. How utterly mortifying is that to have your parents/future in-laws "teach you" how to kiss, but making out in front of you and forcing you to watch?

no1 said...

I agree with Syndee and Heart in Florida: I have been continually amazed at this family's lack of cooking skills, menu planning, etc. I know they have many to cook for, but conceivably the "cooks" have all day . . . so what's with the instant this, boxed that, and canned whatever? I work 40+ hours per week and manage to use real food. I wonder if the family is nutrition starved. They certainly NEVER develop their palates.

I noticed Ben said the toys and candy he scanned for the Wedding Registry was " for the kids" for when they come visit. Is Michelle going to send the little ones over for sleepovers at Jill and Jessa's now that they are married? Poor girls can't get away without still having to care for their younger siblings!

Captain Crunch said...

With 19 kids, Im sure they just grab whatevers easiest to cook. 3 meals a day, 19 kids everyday...I would stockpile instant smashed tators too.

hello said...

Putting toys and candy on the wedding registey for when Jessa's siblings and kids come to visit really shows how immature Ben really is. And of course Jessa had to say it was sweet of him instead of how immature it was.
I saw the preview for next week and cannot believe Jimboob thinks it's ok to give his daughter and future son in law kissing lessons. That is beyond creepy and I would bet that Jessa was mortified. I can see why she chose to have her first kiss in private rather than in front of hundreds of people and cameras.

Ramona said...

Kissing lessons from your parents? Can't even imagine. Don't want to.

Syndee said...

Re: I can see why she chose to have her first kiss in private rather than in front of hundreds of people and cameras.

You know, if you're going to go so far as to make a big scene (it kind of was) by leaving the church and kissing in private, you would think it would have just been easier to have a kiss before the wedding. That to me shows how far into those beliefs those kids really are. They are more willing to risk going against JB on national tv, which I'm sure is frightening, but they must believe it's more evil to have a pre-marital kiss. I suppose God's wrath is worse than JB's. What a lovely viewpoint of religion. None of them will ever escape.

Syndee said...

Re: With 19 kids, Im sure they just grab whatevers easiest to cook. 3 meals a day, 19 kids everyday...I would stockpile instant smashed tators too

At least 5 of them are adults. Can't they all learn to cook? It's kind of misleading to keep saying "19 kids" because almost half of them are in their 20's. Add in JB, M and grandma, and it's less than 2 kids per adult.

i'm a bit confused, i haven't gotten to see the episode yet as it's sitting on my dvr for tonight, but i saw this article this morning (http://www.eonline.com/news/634152/jessa-duggar-and-ben-seewald-get-carried-away-during-their-gift-registry-shopping-watch-for-yourself) that clearly shows them registering at walmart but on the invites that they showed last week it said they were registered at bed bath & beyond, target and amazon, it didn't say walmart, so was this registry all for show just for the episode??? (although people who did check those other registries did say they registered for stupid stuff which i don't doubt)

RE: Jill & Jana cooking the Nepali dinner together. It's just a show and may or may not reflect their real life. They need to film an activity or something or no $$$. Nothing wrong with sisters sharing food prep time together. It's a storyline & better than most they/TLC are coming up with for them. Better IMO than the scenes with Jim Boob (Patrol w/John David) and Michelle ("digging" ha also w/John David). No wait. Seeing Jim Boob make an %SS out of himself WAS a little entertaining too.

As to Ben & Jessa's registry selections -- candy & toys -- ridiculous & childish. She should have deleted them. Enough said.

Mary Poppins said...

I did not notice any "female" oriented toys being scanned. Maybe only Duggar boys will be visiting?

Can Jill not read? Can she not calculate how much INSTANT rice to make for 3 servings if given the recipe for 2 or 4 servings?

I knew the SOTDRT was bad, but yikes.

Jana deserves so much better.
She is truly the only Duggar qualified to be married and with a family...so ironic

Paul Secord said...

Putting candy, toys, food, furniture, etc on your wedding registry makes sense if you're not planning on working and making money of your own for a while. It would be like having an all expenses paid vacation.

Tracy said...

In response to "Sunny side up", I had the same thoughts. There's no way it would be interesting to film Jana and Jill just sitting around talking like they probably do. And even if they did the conversations wouldn't be quite the same because I know I wouldn't say the same things in front of a camera for millions of people to hear that I would say otherwise.

The whole cooking thing just seems like a way to make it possible to film them hanging out.

Somebody asked about them registering at Walmart versus what the invitations said. Maybe the invitations we saw were a mock-up from Josh until he got the real info to put in?

And the preview of Jim Bob showing them how to kiss in next week's episode grossed me out.

Did anyone think it was funny, for Ben to say he moved out of his parents and is on his own. He simply moved in his future in-laws barn. I doubt he pays rent, utilities or food. I doubt he will be in a situtation my truck broke down, how do I get to work, pay for repairs and the rent is due. Then you can say you are on your own.

Jana is so taken advantage of by her parents, also 12 year old behaving Jill. Jana is very much undervalued, under appreciated & too good. & classy for the disgusting Duggar parents. It's my observance that JB & M for some Eason do not want Jana to marry. They see her as their eternal & obedient servant I say more so slave. I hope & pray that Jana finds a great guy & BOLTS from the cult Duggar compound.

Brooke said...

Several magazines are reporting that Jana is quitting the show and is going to apply to college and branch out on her own. I so hope this is true for this poor girl!

Missy said...

RE:M's comment about Jim Bob showing Jessa & Ben how to kiss. This is no different than when Josh & Anna got engaged & Jim Bob & Michelle said they couldn't kiss yet (although the kids supposedly make up their own rules) so we'll do the kissing for you. Whenever Josh & Anna wanted to kiss Jim Bob & Michelle did it for them. "You can't do this yet, so we'll do it for you." What idiots!

Jewels_catlady said...

I was shocked to read that Jana may be quitting the show, leaving home & going to college, Im praying this is true! If it is, I guarantee she is setting a precedent, Jinger will be next & so on.

Heart in Florida said...

When someone merely relocates their clothing to someone else's free structure, has chores given to them to do for "pocket money allowance" and has all meals, entertainment provided by the property owner, that is NOT moving out on your own. Ben simply traded parental authorities to the Duggars.

I'm not so sure this story about Jana leaving is true although I REALLY hope it is true. She needs to be free to pursue her dreams whether it be marriage & family or something totally different. She could get a great education at a brick & mortar Christian college that is well-disciplined with safeguards to protect dating (or courting) couples. One of the articles I came across was very poorly written and researched, talking about how her twin brother John is already married with a family of his own.

Of course we all know that Mama & Daddy will laugh it off. "No, of course Jana wouldn't want to leave home. Look at her! She's SO happy." These two say they trust their kids to have self control and always behave as they should but give them no "life in the real world" opportunities

Wampascat said...

Jana is well above 25 years of age. She has never had a room of her own, never gone to school, never had a real friend, never had a date, never gone to the mall to shop or get her hair done on her own.she's never had an adult conversation with peers that didn't involve Bible study. Jana has been a maid, mother and cook since she was a little girl. As the oldest daughter, she was raised to put all the others before herself . I'm sure she has been guilted her entire life to stay sweet and have a giving heart. It must pain her to see her younger sisters that she helped raise at least get to leave the house and have a little freedom. Jana may be the daughter they've selected to stay home and help raise the rest of the howlers and help with Grandma, Michelle and Jim Bob in their old age.

Kari said...

Yes, the daughter they have chosen to stay at home because as stated, she stays sweet and she seems to be the one who knows how to and is willing to cook for this family. Even Jill rounded her up to help with the Nepali dinner.
I hope she gets the courage to put her foot down and goes to school. At least get out of that house and see what it is like, without cooking for a classroom full of kids and adults day after day, three times daily. I sincerely hope the article is true. She deserves a life of her own. Whatever it may be.

Re: Jewels__catlady comments about Jana. Don't spend a minute of your time thinking these rumors about Jana leaving are true. They have been around ever since she was about 20 yrs. old & she's now 25. Haven't seen her packing up to leave yet. They need some far-fetched rumor to keep up interest in the show/ministry until baby Dillard arrives. Then there will just be another little one for Jana to watch.

Jewels_catlady said...

Yes I realize that 99% it's a rumor but it would be SO awesome if it wasn't!! I don't even know the girl & never will but I would cry tears of joy for her!! Wouldn't everybody??

Those two psychotic parents have destroyed Jana imo. Just watching her you can see she is so emotionally damaged. She'll never leave that home because she would be lost without those two vile people telling her what to do.

Watching the Bates. I like them so much better than the Duggars, they respect Alyssa and i thought it was great that she told the family they didnt want them all there for the birth, jimbob and Michelle would not stay away. Also, loved the Christmas lights, Christmas tree and big screen tv

Lisa, I was thinking the same thing about paying for the drinks. I wonder if the put cookbooks on their registry? That would make sense.

Helen Crump said...

Captain Crunch, their mother never taught them how to cook, I believe because Michelle never learned herself in the first place, and she couldn't run out of the kitchen fast enough as soon as Jana was tall enough to stand on a stool and stir the hot pot...

What an idea! "Cooking for your quiverfull family." Chapter 1, recipes to please even Jesus. Ch 2, how to cook without long hair getting in your food. Ch. 3, more recipes with tater tots....

Re: The drinks in Wal-Mart

That part actually didn't bug me too much. It's a fairly common thing with food and drinks packaged in individual servings. As long as they kept the bottles and paid for them as they were leaving, no harm done.

I happened to see Kari's comments about Jana "Staying Sweet." which has also always really bothered me, just one day after seeing a show on TLC called: Breaking The Faith. It was all about the FlDS & Warren Jeffs. The young girl being interviewed was trying to leave the cult with the help of others that had left before her. She talked at length about how she had to:Stay Sweet. This is an expression I have heard Michelle use in relationship to Jana & the older girls many, many times over. She gave an explanation of staying sweet within the FLDS Cult. She said it meant never disobeying, always doing what you were asked, never complaining & acting sweet all the time no matter how you felt. She also said that at age 19 she had no friends of her own just her siblings. She said she had never gone anywhere alone, never been able to wear her hair the way she wanted to. I don't think anyone could watch this young girl & not think immediately of Jana. She was a clone of Jana & everything this girl said was exactly inline with the way the Duggars run their home & family. It made me wonder why TLC would even air this program, since they already have the Duggar ministry going on.

They probably sit around with the producers, "cooking up" scenarios to act out for each episode. Talk about a scripted life. I feel sorry for that. I mean, brainstorm aside from wedding plans.

"Hmmm...what can we have everyeone else do that's not involved in wedding planning?"

The kids seem close with the camera people. I would love to know what ole what's his name thinks about all this. But I imagine he's signed an NDA on pain of lawsuit!

Syndee said...

Re: Talk about a scripted life. I feel sorry for that. I mean, brainstorm aside from wedding plans.

The most scripted I saw was for the reunion when Michelle was coming downstairs, no kids in sight, sets down a bible, they do a closeup on the bible, then they show her quietly reading that bible in the kitchen waiting for her friend. Normally your kids would be swarming all over the kitchen. Also it was weird that she didn't answer the door, the friend had to find her way in.

Agreed. Going way back, I did co-cooking when I became suddenly single and some older women helped. When I lived nearby my SIL, we would sometimes co-cook. I have a friend who sometimes co-cooks with her sister I always thought it was something you did with your sister, SIL or a close friend, regardless of belief system.

John C. Yes regarding the two Duggar girls weddings they went cheap but expected expensive gitfts from their guests. Apparently TLC believes showing a pseudo christian family making the $$$ from TV airing cheapie weddings is great TV. I am sure Jim Bob was one who approved or rather suggested the cheap weddings for Jessa & Jill. When Josh married Anna, Anna's family served a dinner. Josh& Anna's wedding appeared to be much nicer because Anna's parents aren't cheap people unlike Jim Bob & Michelle. I no longer watch the Duggars. To me it's just a lie. I am DUGGAR DONE!

Bobbi said...

Katie's Mom I too watched this program re FLDS. It's ironic the way in which the Duggars mirror the FLDS with regard to staying sweet... The Duggars ministry is NO ministry. Clearly it's a cult. The head of the cult is Jim Bob. The guy is a big fake on TV. I wonder about JB's tru personality. I really believe he's an ogre & a controlling jerk. TLC needs to become realistic about this program & false profit Jim Bob.

Re: Bobbie's comments on Josh & Anna's wedding. I never defend the Duggars in anyway, but it was the members of the Keller's church in Florida that put on Josh & Anna's wedding. Everything from what flowers they wanted for the bouquets as well as how they wanted the church decorated. All the food, which included various types of sandwiche & many assorted goodies, coffee, tea & assorted sodas, as well as a beautiful wedding cake that they were allowed to pick out of a cake decorating book. A woman in the church did cake decorating & they had a huge cake with side cakes & little bridges going to the side cakes. They picked the biggest cake in the book. The women also told them if that wouldn't be enough they could back it up with sheet cakes. Josh kept repeating over & over again how expensive all this would be if they were paying for it or Anna's parents were paying. So in that way the Keller's got off rather inexpensively. However I also think that Mr Keller devotes a great deal of his time, talent & treasure to that church as well as to the prison ministry. I think the people of the church were helping him out as a thank you. I have no idea about Priscilla's wedding as they showed the service but not all the behind the scene preparations. The Duggars contribution for Josh & Anna's wedding was to provide the food for the rehearsal dinner, which was pizza for everyone!

Lately realizing just how selfish & thoughtless both Jim Bob & Michelle really are, always putting themselves first I couldn't help but think of that when this morning there were two older episode on. In the first one it was Marcus' birth & Josh & Anna had to wait for Michelle to arrive at their house before they could go to the midwifes. There was absolutely no good reason for Michelle to make them wait. It's not like she has to feed & dress all the little ones at her own home, we know she always has someone to do that for her. In the next episode Josh & Anna were moving to DC & it was the whole let's stop at the Bates home & stay as long as we want. When Josh was talking to Jim Bob on the phone realizing that they hadn't left to follow him to DC & were going to stay at the Bates another day, at first I was just so angry at Jim Bob when he said "sorry, but we'll pray for you." I always blamed Jim Bob for that & I still do, it was thoughtless selfish & downright cruel. However in the final scene Michelle is speaking & she says "oh well maybe they can have a quiet night in their camper with the three kids." It finally dawned on me that again as bad as Jim Bob is, Michelle was really "sticking it to Anna." I guess because Anna had a new baby & Michelle didn't.

Syndee said...

A new one with Amy. Apparently she posted some kissing pics on the web.

"According to Amy, Jim Bob doesn't exactly approve of this kind of behavior. "He said, 'I saw y'all kissing,' and gave me a look," she told Radar Online last month. "I said, ‘Yeah, but there's plenty more that I can save up for the wedding night!' Kissing is an adorable thing to do with someone you care about."

Boy I'll bet JB is furious.

When Jessa looked at the wedding registry and saw all the candy and toys, she stopped for a second, looked at Benseewald, and said something like "That's ok". Right then I thought that in six months (tops) she won't think Benseewald's immaturity will be so endearing.

I agree with you Snowflake, Michelle is passive aggressive. That was just mean of her to stay at the Bates so long. I knew that they weren't leaving any time soon once they got there. Bertha, you are absolutely right the Duggars could have visited the Bates on their way home from the trip to DC. After all the whole purpose of the trip to DC was to get Josh, Anna & the kids including a brand new infant moved into their new home & settled. I don't understand how Anna puts up with all this nonsense. The family staying on at the Bates home (which was stupid on the part of the Bates too)then the holiday meal a day early. Anna needs to realize that she will always be a doormat if she is going to lie down & let people walk all over her.

Ginger said...

RE: Bertha& Snowflakes
You are both correct about the Duggars staying over at the Bates for an extended visit & yes it should have been on the way home. However that would have ruined what TLC had set up as a, "surprise baby shower for Anna," at the Bates home on the way to DC. Although I'll never understand just how many of these baby showers they have to have. I would think by the time they got to number three, a simple gift sent in the mail would suffice.

I read Tim Tebow's book. He's incredibly self-centered, narcissistic, and his mother would make a lousy mother-in-law. Plus the way Tim Tebow's career is going, he's going to end up playing for the CFL. There's no guarantee he'd play for an Eastern team which means Jana might be thousands of miles and two or even three time zones from her parents.

Jill made a very naive yet arrogant comment that really bugged me in this show. She said "My pregnancy is mimicking my mothers." This seemingly innocent comment ticked me off in so many ways! First of all, these people act as if they hold some secret about childbirth and pregnancy that none of us could understand. They act as if the rest of us don't want to be pregnant or have never experienced it. They act as if there is only one correct way to be pregnant and that is Michelle's way. What I heard in Jill's comment was that(Jill) is going to do it. As if you can control morning sickness and make it like Saint Michelle's.

I also wish Jana and Tim Tebow would meet and start a relationship. He is a nice Christian man who could jet her off around the world. Think about it. Her life as his wife would be too busy to stick around Duggarville.

About Jessa getting pregnant right away, I noticed in the episode where they are at the art place, Jill's advice to her was to spend as much time together because you finally don't have chaperones, and she started to almost lament, Derrick and I didn't get to spend much time together before I got pg, but she kind of stopped herself and switched to, all these changes happening so fast are kind of exciting. It sure sounds like she has some regrets.

Jim-Bob Duggar preaches modesty, purity, and morality. Yet he can't give his own children a loving hug from daddy because he might be tempted and become aroused? What a filthy, filthy, mind he must have. Such a hypocrite!

Julia33 said...

If the Duggars think that hugging a family member from the front is sinful or arousing, they are seriously deranged.

No one can convince me that Jana Duggar is truly happy. C'mon, a 26-year-old woman still at home sharing a dorm-like bedroom with her little sisters? She'll be 30 years old in the blink of an eye. I'm scared for her. I would be mortified if I were in her shoes... at home, no prospect for an education or mate, helping Mom take care of the "little ones"... that's just horrible and depressing. She can "keep sweet" on camera all she wants, acting like it's the life she always dreamed of... I will never buy it. Poor girl. Shame on JimBob and Michelle, holding that smart, beautiful girl back in life to help take care of their millions of "little ones"... disgusting.

Jill is about to find out what it's really like to be a Mom... not a buddy. Yes it's amazing, but it's SO difficult. She's going to be up all night, tired, sore... did I mention tired? That gal is in for it. Oh yes, she'll "keep sweet" on camera and put on her powder and blush before the camera rolls... talking about how awesome being a Mom is... but again, not buying it... she's got a long row to hoe.

Ben seems sweet enough, but he also has a long row to hoe. I hope he and Jessa don't have kids so quickly, but I'm sure they've been taught that it's a sin to try to avoid conception... so I expect a pregnancy announcement any day... and they have a much harder journey ahead of them that Jill and Derickdillard. At least Derick has a real degree. Ben is a baby... a teen boy who married so that he could have sex.

What would Jessa and Ben do if there had never been a reality show? Would they still marry if no one could give them a house? Money? Support? You gotta wonder.

And another thing you could never really convince me of-- Derick isn't annoyed by Jill's clingyness. No red-blooded male on Earth would truly like that. Driving Derickdillard to work, working out at Derickdillard's workplace, meeting Derickdillard for lunch, picking up Derickdillard from work, selfies daily with Derickdillard. My husband loves me very much, but I can tell you that he would not put up with that. It's NOT a sin to NOT be clingy to your spouse. And I wonder what Derickdillard's coworkers think? That's embarrassing for Derickdillard. And he just grins and bears it because he's a celebrity now, married to a Duggar... it's euphoria for him right now, but reality will eventually set in.

I personally don't think the Duggars should have done wedding registries. It's tacky because they're already rich from the show. Just my opinion, though.

JimBob's focus on sex and the physical relationships of his kids is not normal. If my dad acted like that, I would be scarred for life. And my dad is a good dad, a Christian man... but he did not try to teach me to kiss or talk about the wedding night, etc. That's totally inappropriate, and just really creepy.

It makes me sad that these folks are so legalistic, and that they think their rules and procedures are what make them holy. When I watch their show, I am not seeing the message of Christ; I am seeing how following this rule and that rule will make you pure and holy and worthy. That Bible warns about "false humility"... I am afraid that the Duggars may be misled regarding the Lord's plan of salvation because they don't speak of His grace, only their manmade rules and laws and side hugs and chaperones and denim skirts and having as many kids as God gives. Yes, the Bible says children are a blessing... but notice the Bible does not say "have as many children as you can because children are a blessing"... God gave you a brain. Use it.

I think Jill planned her wedding around her cycle. I believe she purposely became pregnant to please Jim Bob. After all just like Dim Bulb, Jill is desperate fiorvthe attention of the cameras. Both have zero FILTER!

Jana Duggar is the only Duggar daughter who possesses class & integrity. I just wish she could leave without threats of shunning or worse from Dim Bulb & Mooshell

I find the Duggars',particularly JimBob's, obsession with sex quite disturbing. They can't go to the beach because they might see something that would arouse them? What? Some grandmas in a skirted swimsuit? Some old coots with their bellies hanging over their suits with hairy backs? Little girls and boys with their suits riding up and too much "cheek" showing? Yes, there will be cute young things in bikinis and young men without shirts, but the majority of people at the beach are the same people you may see in the grocery store with all their imperfections. To see every person as some sort of sex object is sick!

Another disturbing thing about this family is that they don't truly hug each other! Those little "side hugs" are for people you don't know very well. Can't JB and MEchelle give their children a real hug? I can't tell you all the times I returned from college, especially the first time, and got a big bear hug from my Mom and Dad! That really meant something. I think.k this e tire family needs professional counseling or maybe reprogramming!

Some food for thought. The Duggars profess to be so very religious, modest, pure and righteous. Yet none of the children can go out on a date without a chaperon lest temptation get the best of them. I am a religious person (certainly not radically as religious as they claim to be). My religion tells me what is acceptable and what is not. I adhere to my religious beliefs because I choose to. I don't need a chaperon to watch me because I am faithful to my religion. Yet Jim-Booby can't trust his children nor can his children trust themselves without watchdogs. Seems a little hypocritical to me. Anyone?
