Oh, you're kidding.

Are they kidding? So ridiculous!

Yes a decade of Duggar births as viewers watch women wear out their bodies & the men could care less. Women being slaves & door mats with their husbands. Such a modern & positive message to send to young female children. It's disgusting, dumb & just Wrong!

Who would watch this? I certainly won't be.

If I want to watch babies being born A Baby Story is a much better option. I wonder if those shows are on Netflix or anywhere like that.

There is nothin SPECIAL about the Duggar deliveries. Oh, unless you consider the fine art of toilet birthing entertainment.

The Duggars are one trick ponies: their entire existence amounts only to breeding and birthing-by-the-litter.

Oh, cant wait.... They will show 3 minutes for Anna giving birth and then it will all be about Michelle, im sure thats the only reason TLC is going to bore us to death, Michelle has nothing to offer except old delivery, bla, bla, bla

I thought this was a joke. But it is real on

Putting together a special episodes with bits and pieces of repeats. Wow! What a unique idea.

This is Michelle grabbing back the spotlight from the current generation of Duggar babymakers.

Well I certainly won't need to take a sleeping pill tonight! Talk about boring! And simba - you called it right. Me-chelle just blabbing on like she's the only person who has ever had a baby.

I didn't realize that there was a special on TLC tonight about all the Duggar Births. When I turned it on, it was Anna giving birth to Michael. I only watched that part, as I wanted to confirm something for myself. I have always thought that Anna had absolutely no professional help during Michael's birth. Jill was there, actually one of the lead people in the group, although she had barely started her midwife training. MS Theresa Fedosky, a Doula, was also assisting. We now know that she was no midwife as she was in training to be a midwife with Jill's student midwife group. Then there was Michelle of course & for some unknown reason Jessa was there. Anna was in agony & kept saying over & over again that she just couldn't do it. Then Josh step up to the camera & said "I expressed to her that yes, she you can do it." He then went for a nap. What it pointed out to me was that this woman had absolutely no professional help with a labor that went on for over 20 hrs. I think she had a worse labor than Jill did, but they'll play Jill' up as the most difficult. I turned it off after Michael's birth & will not be watching Jill's 70 hr. labor story. She ended up in a hospital & although she had a C-section, which I thought Anna needed, at least Jill had an epidural & was given pain medication. The suffering Anna went through was a disgrace.

It's it a tiny bit strange that during the early days. When Michelle gave birth via c-section we got to see her stomach not blurred out!!! Did anyone else catch that? ?? The 2nd c-section it was at the start of this episode, they (Jim Bob and Michelle) let you see all her stomach in operating room and her insides...but then looked dumb later on for using the sheet to cover he stomach, and even when she water skied that one time blurring out her knees.
Please tell me ya'll noticed this too!!

File me under the "bored" category who sat and watched this. Please don't kick me off of the blog for actually sitting through all 3 hours, lol. Honestly, it's as much of a thing of "I just can't look away" to "I'm actually still interested in a freak show kind of way". It was really fascinating to kind of chart the hypocrisy and changes from the first birth featured to the most current things going on. I won't re-hash everything but it always cracks me up how much their style has changed.

Who wants to watch these obedient brood mares give birth? TLC get a grip.

I can hardly believe I sat through this also. It is pretty amazing how their styles have changed through the years. I have heard this mentioned on this blog before but didn't really appreciate it. Josh taking a nap in the middle of Anna's labor with Michael!! That was appalling! She was in so much pain, he should have been there to support her.

Jennifer, yes on purpose, didn't watch the centuries (LOL) of Duggar pregnancies & births. However, I recall Michelle water skiing & her knees were blurred. Who would have cared to look at Michelle's knees. I mean seriously will the Duggars ever Grow the Heck Up?

dianne/veteran said...

Oh the hair...it was so awful...

dianne/veteran said...

Bobbi...so true...we cannot see knees...but baby bumps are displayed...whatever happened to CLASS?

InVA said...

Like several of you, I couldn't turn away.

It drove me crazy that Michelle had been in labor for hours yet had to wait for JB to literally do his hair. He stood in the bathroom hair spraying it.

Then, he had to have a hearty breakfast before they could go.

Meanwhile Michelle is patiently laboring away waiting for her dear husband.

If the rumors of Jill and Derick getting pedicures between the water breaking and going to the doctor I can now understand why!

And Josh napping during Anna's labor? Sure, no big deal.

What an awful example from their parents!!!

Bobbi said...

Pillsbury Dough Boy Josh only cares about himself. Re Jodh behavior, well he had a great teacher in Jim Bob. Josh's attitude is so what if Anna experiences great pain. It's her problem & that's Josh Duggar.

Bobbi said...

Dianne/veteran, first thanks for serving our country! The Duggars & class are foreign bedfellows. They can't spell the word class. Jim Bob & Michelle have diligently worked to brainwash particularly their daughters the only Function of a woman is to marry & procreate every nine months until menopause. To wear out the body of a woman before her time. It's one of the rules in the Gothard Cult that objectify & minimize women & it needs to STOP!

Not me i could or rather would not watch this.....heck we have seen it all..multiple times. Rehashing the births...they seem to thrive on this stuff. Especially Meechelle. Old news..even with the new births once you have seen the episode (then all the re telling of the same births) THIS IS BORING TLC. Good Grief! Waaay back when i used to like to watch the kids and thought the Duggars weren't such a bad bunch..now its just all money grubbing from them. We have the "gener partys on tlc" heck we already know from all the tabloids etc what the sex ohh i mean gender is...ENOUGH is Enough! YAWN YAWN YAWN and i didnt even watch it but from previous births and the re telling of them all and then here it is again? WHY O' WHY...BORING TO SAY THE LEAST. *FREE JANA*

I'm glad to see it got low ratings compared to their usual

I was amazed at the progression of Michelle's baby voice throughout the years.

TLC is scraping the bottom of the barrel, that's for sure. I didn't last five minutes

With nineteen kids, the odds are there will be some with fertility issues and probably lots of miscarriages and more preterm births. Will those who can't conceive be made to feel like unworthy losers?

Why would Dim-bulb and Mee-chelle give away their crib when they anticipate having 200 grandkids or GRAND-DUGGARS as they like to say. I know lots of grandparents who keep a crib set up for when their grandkids come to visit.

I must not have suffered enough in a past life, so I was condemned to sit and watch this. I had fallen and hurt my knee, and could not get up without help. My husband inadvertently left the TV remote out of reach when he went to the grocery store. I considered crawling across the floor to get it. As I said, I must not have suffered enough. . .

Forgot to mention, did anyone notice that Josh's bathrobe was hanging over the front door window when Anna was in labor with who-knows-which kid? A few episodes ago she made a door curtain for Jessa and Ben, as a housewarming gift, commenting about how they used the robe for privacy. At the time they showed a few shots of the robe, and several people commented that they did not notice it before. I didn't, but in this episode, there it is!

That Jill Diillard is definitely the Queen of one syllable words such as (Like, oh yeah) sometimes Jill expands her cache of words such as "totally", "awesome", & now "surreal". Golf clap Jill.

I have to say "A Decade of Duggar Birth Special was boring!!! Good thing I was crocheting or I would have feel asleep!!! I wish I could quit this show but it is a train wreck!!! I can't stop!!!

I haven't watched this episode yet (in fact i have the last 3 still on my DVR, guess waiting until i'm so bored to watch), but reading the comments made me remember how Jill had to run off to get a pedicure while in labor but yet for Jessa's wedding (which many months before) she couldn't bother to get one and had to have Derek come into the bridal suite to paint her nails during their prep time, just goes to show it was all for attention that day as she clearly is not against paying for a pedicure (& not to mention she wasn't that pregnant yet that she couldn't reach her own toes)

No one cares or is interested to watch a decade of Duggar births & BTW TLC, it's Not Special!
